About This File
FANTA1990 Presents:
A new look for the intermodal shipping containers appearing mainly on the Maxis seaport but also on many other custom lots, automata, and props. By definition, the containers are designed to be moved from one mode of transport to another (from ship, to rail, to truck) without unloading and reloading. Thus, with every trip their painted steel exteriors endure repeated assaults from salt water, brake dust, and graffiti. A crucial element that the Maxis textures fail to illustrate. Frankly, the default coloration is more suggestive of Lego blocks or a shattered rubik's cube.
Fanta's exhaustive sampling eventually yielded a remarkably authentic texture available in two different color combinations to suit individual tastes. They each replace the cartoon like surfaces with a much more refined HD texture that works with both hardware and software acceleration. Since this is essentially an automata reskin, there are no dependencies and no configuration is required. This mod will boost the authenticity of any loading dock, but is indispensable when absolute realism is paramount.

Fanta has taken considerable measures to make his site accessible to English speaking users. However, I encourage you to exploit the automatic translation features available in browsers such as Chrome and Firefox, or one of many Add-ons for Internet Explorer. Mandatory registration will unlock Fanta's downloads and all other custom content on SimCity China. One login prompt and two verification screens may seem excessive, but are well worth it.
Since Fanta spends considerable time manufacturing custom mods, he specifically requested my assistance publishing his work to the mainstream English speaking audience. All credit and responsibility for this download lies solely with Fanta Soda. He will personally read and perhaps respond to any praise, feedback, criticism, or suggestions to this post. More impressive works from FANTA1990 will follow.
