Here's one more take on an American classic - garden apartments, inspired by urban Northern NJ! No dependencies, represented as a 3x4 growable R$ lot. This time, clad in brick with huge Greek Revival columns that really dignify the place. They grow without water if you zone medium density residential, to provide missing middle housing and visual continuity for urban areas, while stepping density in a realistic way. Download similar apartment complexes here: Enjoy, feel free to redistribute and re-lot, share your creations on the stex- 3 Reviews

No dependencies A follow-up from my Postwar Garden Apartments, these are FA2 oriented versions representing the many garden apartment complexes in the suburban northeast, and across the country. They use a custom base model which is similar, but different to the Maxis barracks prop included in the other set. 8 simple landmark lots included, nothing fancy. Left and right rotations. The name is "FA2 Oakdene Gardens" in bldgplop, this is an old file, I hope you like it anyway Use these below to create big complexes, but you don't need them as a dependency.- 1 Review

Download in comments section Sorry I've been holding out for so long - these are my favorite urban infill lots! They look great in areas between WTW rowhomes and detached suburbs. These are some narrow lot residentials I've been using for a long time in my game. Here they are lotted on conveniently sized parcels for easier development. These houses are often clustered together in tight parcels built by the same developer anyway. You can grow them on medium residential easily if you don't zone water first then historicalize them, or use growify. North Bergen Narrow Lots (NJ, circa 1910) available in 2x2, 3x2, 4x2, 7x2, and 8x2 lot sizes! St Louis Narrow Lots (Missouri, circa 1910) avail. 4x2 size only. Both sets of rowhomes are available as prop families contained within for easy relotting. Lmk if you encounter any other issues. This is a heavily tested file. -

This Jersey island 5x3 large tile region is to scale at 252 km². Two versions are available to download: The SC4M file requires SC4 Mapper to set up. The png/config file for if you have a Mac or have preference for the ingame region import function. This version of the region requires downloading High Elevation Import Mods w Erosion Control Parameters and using "Mallow's Original 2500m.dat" file. Installation instructions are listed below. Note: The png/config will render somewhat different than the SC4M version. The first region screen preview shown here is the sc4m version with the Appalachian Terrain Mod, and the last preview is the png/config version with no mods. Region Installation Instructions for the png config version 1. Navigate to your SimCity "Regions" folder on your computer. 2. Create a new folder for the region in this folder and move the grayscale map png file and config file from this download into the folder. IMPORTANT: Follow the next few instructions so your region doesn't render underwater 3. Download High Elevation Import Mods w Erosion Control Parameters: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/16790-high-elevation-import-mods-w-erosion-control-parameters/ 4. Take only "Mallow's Original 2500m.dat" from the download and place it in your "Plugins" folders. 5. If you have any terrain mods such as the Columbus Terrain Mod, Middle European Climate Mod, or Appalachian Terrain Mod, etc. or related files you will probably have to temporarily remove them from the "Plugins" folder for the region to install correctly. 6. Launch SimCity 4 and load the new region folder you made. The region is flat but the tile layout is visible. 7. Hold the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+R buttons together which will display a file navigator in the upper left. 8. Navigate to the png file and select it. The game will show a screen as if it's loading a city tile. 9. Be patient and wait for the game to render the entire new region one tile at a time. Don not interrupt or switch away from this until it is completed and the game returns to region view. 10. Your region is done and ready to play! 11. After exiting the game, remember to remove "Mallow's Original 2500m.dat" and replace any Terrain mods in your "Plugins" you may have temporarily removed. A requested region for Reddit user lukomorya Have fun mayors! Click here for a spreadsheet of all my SimCity 4 regions!-

Stage 5, occupants 24 sims per lot. Grows at the low end of medium density on Houston tileset (brick models will grow on NY as well) -

Break the grid! Break the conventions of single family zoning! Here is some "missing middle" suburban attached housing. This is a set of 3 duplexes inspired by homes in Palisades Park, New Jersey. The area is affluent, diverse, and densely populated, owing its success to its favorable location on the leafy palisades about 10 minutes from Manhattan, NYC. As a result, many older homes have been demolished to make way for new, more expensive structures. These duplexes (sometimes 4plexes) replace a single family home set on a 50' lot. If they look big compared to other homes in the area, they are! Much the same way that brownstones looked huge and austere to many when they began to replace wooden structures in the 1800s, some residents in the area feel that larger and more dense housing changes the character of the neighborhood. Grow some and find out! Download includes: 3 recolors on three 2x1 growable R$$ lots. Stage 5, occupants 24 sims per lot. Grows at the low end of medium density on Houston tileset Nightlighting included. No dependencies required- 4 Reviews

Break the grid!!... some other time. Here are two buildings from the North Hudson municipalities. (As promised!) a Salvadorian restaurant in Union City, and my take on a really cool building by my house in North Bergen, a bagel shop in front and an auto body shop in the back. The buildings, located in different cities, are modeled separately but represented here together as the Park Ave Corner. As a result, this lot is more slope tolerant than some of my others. Download includes: 1x growable 1x2 CS$ right-corner lot, with 2 custom props w/nightlighting No dependencies required for use My apologies for not producing more grid-busting buildings. I'm laid up with the coronavirus right now so I'm modeling stuff from around the neighborhood just easy stuff to carry me through having the ick. Merry Christmas all!!- 2 Comments

Download includes: 1x stage 3 growable 1x2 CS$ lot w/ 46 jobs, custom model and nightlights Merry Christmas! -

This is a pretty simple multi-family construction, typical of the post-war housing boom in the US after WWII. You can spot homes like this all over New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and other East Coast states. This one is a little different (to me) because the upstairs units have a separate entrance in the rear. These grow low density stage 4 on the Chi/NY tilesets. R$ 1x2, 2 lots included. Thanks to those who have been enjoying the HD uploads, cheers- 6 Reviews

So in the real world i've gotten around to doing a series of videos called lets drives, i basically drive down various roads and highways in NJ (where i live) and record the journey. I find it fun to drive, and maybe sharing with others who have never seen the areas i live in before. Here's my latest, i also have 2 older ones uploaded, but they are of poorer quality. I leave them unedited to keep it more real feeling. enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flgQVAeoI6Y

Here is the Preview to Gennsey, on the edge of the Ohio Great lake and a huge shipping yard situated to the south of Gennsbourough. It's the main industrial power in Genns County and ships over 500 tons of Steel within the county every day, and is home of the Sonton Fishery, the largest fishing corporation in the midwest. It employs 10,000 people within the county up to Canneate and the steel industries involve over 40,000 within the area. It's also home to the Gennsbourough Browns and the Lower-Gennsey Mets. The SS "Gennsey Isle" passes underneath the Chooklyn bridge next to the US Steel complex shipping yard with the "Bambi of Ohio" docking to bring in 4 tons of steel and over $1,000,000 dollars of Canadian products.
