Vintage New York City is a Tile Set Conversion for SimCity 2000 Windows, or the Special Edition. Basically its' New York before the 1940's , or when the Empire State building was the tallest in the world. This really is an awesome Tile set if I have to say it my self! I spent no less than Four Hundred hours digging through tiles and old scurk pages. Then i had to create original scurk as well! This will definitely bring new life into the great. This is no slouch, careful work was done to ensure everything matches in scale and colour and realism. You can recreate a version of Manhattan, or even develop an alternate city. AMUST HAVE!!! INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS!!!! You may need an archive tool that Unzips compressed files such as WINRAR, its what I use. Then extract the file named 'VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY'.MIF to a folder called " SCURKART' , its 'where your SimCity 2000 is stored, or you can make an entirely new installation folder location just as long as you can find it! LOL Usually you can just double click on the File," VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY. MIF" and it will open to SCURK, or just right click and choose to open with SCURK. From there you will be able to access the goodies! From the main game. At the main menu of SimCity 2000 Special Edition there will be as follows.. LOAD CITY START NEW CITY EDIT NEW MAP LOAD SCENARIO WATCH WILL TV ***LOAD TILE SET*** QUIT Click on load tile set and it will take you to a directory screen, LOOK IN, SCURKART, or where ever you extracted to and select the tile set, " VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY.MIF. Once selected it will take you back to the main menu, from there you can choose what ever you want. When you begin the game you'll notice that mostly everything is different! IN GAME Once you have started a new city or what ever and your in the game, you can load the tile set from there by, clicking 'FILE' at the top left hand side of the screen and selecting," Load Tile Set". It will take you to the same directory . Look In.. The folder where you extracted , "VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY.MIF and select it! The city will then be the new tiles! CREATED BY G.F JAY COSIS. I had hoped to get this update out months ago however we all know how demanding work and personal life can be, any who Happy New Year and welcome back. In this update I will be displaying my take on the borough of Queens specifically the area known as Dutch Kills and areas surrounding the Queensbridge and Astoria Houses. Also will show parts of Hunters Point, Long Island City and Roosevelt Island; Basically the areas that stretch along the Vernon Blvd corridor. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The storms from last evening finally ceased as the midnight gradually phased into dawn. The sun rises over the horizon bringing life to a new day in New York City. Rush hour commuters scurry across the Queensboro Bridge back and forth between Manhattan and Queens above Roosevelt Island. Roosevelt Island stretches approximately 2 miles with the only vehicular access being the Roosevelt Island Bridge to the north which connects the Island to Astoria, Queens. Towards the southside of Long Island City is the area known as Hunters Point which stretches west to the waterfront. The infamous Queensbridge Houses consisting of 96 buildings is the largest housing projects. Its boundaries stretch South-North along Vernon BLVD from Queensbridge to 40th Ave and East-West between Vernon BLVD and 21st Street. The area gave birth to many iconic Hip Hop artists to include Nas, Mobb Deep, Roxanne Shante and Cormega. North of Queensbridge is the Dutch Kills neighborhood which consists of a mix of residential, commercial and industrial properties. The Ravenswood Generation Station also stretches along the East River. The Astoria Houses is a low-income New York City Housing Authority development. It is bordered by 27th Ave, 8th Street, Hallet’s Cove and the East River. Astoria Houses was completed in 1951. It consists of 22 buildings, 1102 apartments and houses 3,135 people. Astoria Houses sits on Hallets Point, a peninsula that juts out into the East River.

3 Times Square, also known as the Thomson Reuters Building, is a 32-story skyscraper located in the Times Square area of New York. Located on the seventh avenue between 42nd and 43rd Streets, the building was part of the ambitious renovation project on 42nd Street. Built by Tishman Constructions, it has 79,400 sqm and is the headquarters of Thompson Reuters. in New York, BMO Capital Markets and FTI Consulting, and on the ground floor there are Quicksilver, Sketchers, JP Morgan and Cafe Europa establishments. Like most buildings in Times Square, it has large electronic advertising screens on several facades. The facade is composed of a curtain wall of glass and stone with metal panels, which favor natural lighting. The building was designed to be energy efficient and does not need heating. It is also equipped with dual gas / electric cooling systems that allow one or another power source to be used depending on the electricity and gas rates. Landmark version , 4x4. ESP15- 1 Comment

Another quckie inspired by a random Brooklyn street view wander. Here is Richie Electronics store, a CS$ stage 5 with 35 jobs on a 1x2 lot. Sits wall to wall on one side with a small parking lot on the right hand side. The mural is from one of my fave street artists and one of New Zealand's very own, Owen Dippie. He has done some amazing work but believe he is now living in New York and leaving gifts on walls across the City. Unfortunaltey no nite lights on this ine. 425 Fifth Avenue Is a 188-meter skyscraper located at 425 5th Avenue in New York. The promoter of the building is RFR Davis3 and Michael Graves is the architect in charge of the designs. It was built between 2001 and 2003 and has 55 floors and 197 homes.4 It is one of the tallest buildings in New York. The building was crowned in April 2002 and inaugurated in September 2013. Hello good afternoon to everyone. A few hours ago I started working on a tower that I have wanted to have on SC4 for a long time, 425 - 5th Avenue NYC. I got with Sketchup since I do not have 3DMAX. I'm designing the main parts of the building. My question is. Do you know with what tool can I design many windows at once? And how to create good textures without using images? The Morgan Stanley Building at 1585 Broadway is the headquarters of Morgan Stanley, on the west side of Broadway, north of Duffy Square in the Times Square neighborhood of midtown of Manhattan , New York City. Even before 1585 Broadway began to rise over Duffy Square, its developer Solomon Equities Inc.,had signed the law firm Proskauer Rose to a 20-year lease for 365,000 square feet (33,900 square meters). A notable achievement at any time, the deal was a milestone in a market where a growing number of new buildings were competing heavily for a shrinking number of tenants.This also came after News Corporation walked away from their longstanding commitment to lease the balance of the building from the developer, and was further on the heals of News Corp's near financial collapse. 209m tall. 42 floors. Its construction began in 1987 and ended two years later, becoming the headquarters of JPMorgan Chase. The tower exceeds 160000 m2 of office space and was the last large corporate building that was built in the financial district. The skyscraper measures 227 meters high distributed among its 55 plants and its design was provided by Kevin Roche, John Dinkeloo & Associates. The building fits well into the surroundings with its post-modern or neoclassical style that emphasize both its size and its height. 60 Wall Street was acquired by Deutsche Bank in 2001 for 600 million dollars. 1095 Avenue Of The Americas is a 630 ft (192m) tall skyscraper in New York City, New York. It was constructed from 1972 to 1974 as headquarters of New York Telephone and has 41 floors. The building also served as the headquarters of NYNEX and Bell Atlantic. Kahn & Jacobs designed the building, which is the 61st tallest in New York. The original facade was said to be designed to resemble the relays which were commonly found inside telephones of the time. From 2006 to 2007 the tower received a $260 million renovation which upgraded the office space from Class B+ to Class A office space.[citation needed] The phone company moved its headquarters to the Verizon Building in the early 2000s, and sold off most of the building, retaining a condominium interest in floors 6-12, where Verizon maintained offices and a telephone exchange serving landlines in Midtown Manhattan. However, in 2013 the company moved its corporate headquarters back to 1095 Avenue of the Americas, following a sale of the upper floors of the Verizon Building. -

The 84 exterior column transfers exist because of the owner's requirement for a column-free space. It is tied with the New York Life Building for the 74th tallest building in New York City.
