A certain melancholia of bygone times.. _________________________ HAITO PENINSULA The City and Time _____ Haito Peninusla lies south of Oishi Island, the Tokai and Kyuko subway lines stop there _____ As with all cities of East Asia, Oka City, and Haito Peninsula have also been part of planned cities in the 90's to rebuild the city and house poorer people in new flats _____ Each flat is unique, with the furnishings of peoples lives, a jacket, the cup from a birthday a few years ago, holiday pictures from friends in Southern Oka _____ But from outside it's all the same _____ In the bustling streets of one of Asia's most diverse cities, taking a wrong turn is sometimes a blessing _____ The Kaima market is a small local market of the Kaima district a few minutes away from Haito is a deja vu of Oka in the 80's _____ The streets are calm and sleepy on a Sunday morning when the stalls open, for the residents of the massive estates, here is the place to go, where they'll remember going shopping with their parents in the rural village where they grew up.. Such is the reality of the Asian capitalistic city, where what is left of the past is a true wonder.
