Time for another map release! This time its Dubai-Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) (دبي-الشارقة، الإمارات العربية المتحدة) (for SimCity 4)! Dubai (population 3.6 million) is the largest city and Sharjah, located directly northeast of Dubai (population 1.8 million), is the third largest city in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). Dubai is a major tourism, transportation and logistical hub in the Middle East and home to many luxurious beaches and five-star hotels. The map is 28 x 16 large city tiles and is accurately scaled based on DEM data. It has been rotated by 40 degrees to better fit the street grid. The map generally takes off where I left off with my Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. map, though it is not exact due to slight differences in rotation. In order to install the map you will need wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer as the file is in SC4M format. This is a building I have designed based on the real World Oasis Beach twin towers at the Dubai Marina. It is not an exact replica, because the SC3000 Building Architect tool doesn't allow for great triangular buildings, but I've tried to keep the cool modern design. This building looks good in Coastal and tropical cities. 3x3 tiles Format: .bld Intended zone type: Commercial Place of origin: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Place into SimCity 3000 Unlimited/Buildings/ to install. -

G'Day Simtropians, Today I am presenting a map requested by EugeneLavery, thanks mate. It is of Dubai, an independent state in the UAE. This is a real world map and was produced with dem and satellite data. It is terrain and scale accurate and measures 77.824km x 77.824km. It's in .SC4M format and 16bits and requires one has Wouanagaine;s mapper installed to inport it. Links and instructions are included in the readme. (always free) I think that's all.
