Hi guys, here an utility reward lot. It works as a small power plant which simulates solar storage batteries. It needs at least two solar power plants and a power demand of 8.000 MWh per month. It costs 300 § to plop and 24 § per month and produces 150 MWh per month. It generates some jobs too. I'll wait for your comments and suggestions. Have fun
  2. SM2 Advanced Solar Array

    Version 2.0.0

    927 Downloads

SM2 Advanced Solar Array A futuristic solar energy converter that generates electricity. During the night or in the case of high winds it will automatically retract underground in order to avoid damage. This particular lot is made up of 12 different timed models which gives the lot a somewhat animated feel. The entire sequence will occur within the 24 hours day/night game period. The best way to plop this lot is in a staggered fashion because when the solar panels are fully deployed it will cross the lot boundaries and may touch the other array adjacent to this one. Nothing will happen but for that short duration it wont look so good. They can be plopped anywhere, no road/streets necessary. If they are plopped in a remote location you may need to use the game power pylons in order to bring electricity to where it is necessary. Game lag may cause 2 models to appear at the same time. Give it a few minutes and it will fix itself. SM2 GE Solar Power Plant Another solar power plant. This one instead of being modular, is pre assembled. For those of you that don't want to waste time with assemblies but still want a realistic solar power plant, this is your answer. The panels are timed to follow daylight just like the modular one I uploaded previously. SM2 Modular Solar Power Plant. Solar power, clean green power and most importantly, renewable! As the name implies, you can build any size plant you like, from a single 1x1 lot to 1000's of them. It comes with a 2x2 step up transformer in order to feed the power grid and also a pair of container sized DC to AC inverters which can be plopped every few rows to give it a realistic feel. The inverters and the step up transformers also act as power generators, each one respectively outputs 200 units for the inverters and 300 units from the transformers. You can use them separately if you'd like to do so. The photovoltaic panels rotate on its X axis at intervals during the day for a total of 5 moves thus giving the assemblies a somewhat "animated" feel to them for even more realism. Best placed on flat surfaces. Photovoltaic panels lot : 100 units of power Step up transformer : 300 units of power Inverters lot : 200 units of power. I set plop and maintenance cost of the panels lot close to zero, so plop away! Don't forget that you can also set power output from 0 to their max output for all the lots by using the power slider. 7. A new solar power plant in Datong, China, however, decided to have a little fun with its design. China Merchants New Energy Group, one of the country’s largest clean energy operators, built a 248-acre solar farm in the shape of a giant panda. 8. Hello to everybody. This is my problem: for power I used 3 coal power plants for an amount of 18,000 MWh/Month and power request was 13,000 MWh/Month about (I saw the graph). After obtaining the reward, I deleted one of them and put a solar power plant. Now the total amount of power is 14,000 MWh/Month, and power request is the same. How it is possible? Theoretically I should have a total amount of 17,000 MWh/Month ( 6,000 x 2 + 5,000 x 1). Does solar power plant produce less than 5,000 MWh/Month? P.S. I do not use mods and it is ever day (no transition between day and night). I play SimCity 4 Deluxe version on Win 7 64-bits Thanks in advance and and forgive me if I am wrong to post here. Frank G

Note: updated - 1x1 can now be built too (hopefully!) Have you ever needed just a little more energy for the city, and the power plant simply takes up too much space? I present... THE SOLAR POWERLOT! It can take up just one tile, half as much as a wind power plant, and make 100 MWh a month! There is also a 2x2 version if you have enough space. Great for small spaces which you don't know how to fill (e.g. roundabouts, empty spaces within zones etc.) and remote settlements, small villages, toll booths and so. No dependencies. This is my first upload so correct me if i did anything wrong. But most important: Enjoy!

Hey all This mod adds a brand new module to your solar power plant; solar storage batteries! These batteries can store up to 50 MWh and matches the daily power output of the plant itself. The module can be bulldozed and can be found in the solar power plant's module menu. It will be the last icon. A video will be posted here soon. How to install: 1. Unzip the file. 2. Install the .package file into your SimCityData folder. I used oppie's SimCityPak program to create this mod/building. Go here to download it: http://simcitypak.codeplex.com/releases/view/122600 Enjoy! More mods and buildings are coming!

  12. Somewhere..

The city's coasts are full of the sea wonders and natural wild life, with clear beaches all along the way wich made the city almost unique. The city makes sure that those reefs are kept safe, and that people can enjoy discovering this environement and learning about it, and taking advandage from the sunny beaches. The city also try to get the most possible use of these refes and waters, without damaging them. Those are some wave power plants, they collect power from the waves and the sun, to power the nearby tower. The sims enjoy these reefs and aqua environement, and have respect for it. Some sims like to spend their nights on the beache. Oh look, some turtules are doing each other underwater near the rocks, isn't nature beautifull? (If you know what I mean.) The city have many aqua institutions, and aqua farms, it is the future of agriculture. The city aqua agriculture provide many goods, like different kinds of fish, marine alage, and many others, all that without affecting the native environement. The principal of the city, is live with nature, not against nature. It also brings alot of money and tourism... The other side of the bay doesnt have much of reefs or wild life, so it used for industrual purposes.

SimCity 4 miss those type of buildings, and many modern and futuristic cities' builders would love to find things like these, esspecially for who wants to make a futuristic ecological city. This is my first BAT with an obvious roof top garden, also it doesnt use too much energy. I think many players will find this pleasant. One bad part about it, is that it's not a very big building, so it will not very much, noticed from far way views or inside dense cities. So there will be more of this, bigger and better. When you download this file, you will have a subway station version, and a park version (for that small building in the pictures below), also a functional landmark version (that sadly provides only 10 jobs, but it's functional), and a growable commercial offices ($$) version. You can delete all the files that you don't want (say you don't want a growable or park version), you can find every category of lots, in a file named for that matter (example: "Tn/Sky-garden/subway station". Further more, if you like to use the BAT for other purposes, or to use it as you like, you can find it in SC4 plug-in Manager as "sg0" for the small part of the building, and "sky-garden" for the whole building.. For more information pleas see the file "Tn/Sky-Garden/DATA". No dependencies are required. This file is by SBT You can visiti the team website here: http://simmania.darkbb.com/h8-sm3portal I hope you enjoy it.

Tired of having so little space in you cities? Sick of big, bulky power plants that cause pollution? And are you fed up with wind power plants being as useful as a pencil without lead? You don't have to loathe any longer, Mayor! Introducing Solar Panels! But there are solar plants around, what's the difference? You can have all the power you need by just plopping a few of these babies around. It sounds too good to be true, but it is true! The Solar Collector 3 combines 10 solar collectors into a single facility producing 5,000 MWh/month of clean and efficient power for your cities. Unlike the game's default solar plant, which employs the Concentrated Solar Power principle of using mirrors to focus heat that is converted to electricity, these true solar collectors use Photo-voltaic cells, which convert sunlight directly into electricity. The plop cost, power produced, and maintenance costs for this facility are the same as building 10, single solar collector plants. This combined facility merely saves a little space with the added convenience of a single plop and budget item. This is a conditional reward power plant. It will become available in the game after you have met the same conditions required to make the game's default solar plant available. (High Wealth Residential Population - 3000 Mayor Rating - 55) The office/warehouse is part of a 2 structure building prop family to add a little variety. When plopped, one of the two structures will be randomly selected for the lot. The lot is transit enabled and should be connected by street to your traffic network. * Special thanks to Pegadyne Industries for their development of the new photo-electric collectors used in these plants that produce a viable amount of power from a relatively small collection surface. ** This lot requires the installation of the PEG Solar Collector 2 power plant. ** This lot requires PEG Lakeside Resort (PEG_Resort-Pack_205.dat) All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

The Solar Collector 2 is a modified version of the original Solar Collector. It is virtually identical to the updated original in all regards except appearance. For reality buffs, the comical AA batteries have been replaced with a more real-world look. This lot does not replace either the original or the updated original version. Both lots can be used at the same time with separate icons appearing for both in the Utilities Power menu. Both versions have identical properties but will be listed in your budget window as separate power plant types. The parking lot on the lot is transit enabled. You may have to manually connect it. However, like the windmills, the lot does not have to have road access. * Special thanks to Pegadyne Industries for their development of the new photo-electric collectors used in these plants that produce a viable amount of power from a relatively small collection surface. ** This lot uses props from the following files: Peg Trail Parks III Peg Lakeside Resort All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Finally... solar power comes of age with this innovative solution for providing power at night time as well. While traditional solar power stations stop giving up the juice after sunset, this baby is (BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!) Still Going!! Okay, Okay... I don't take this seriously either. But it was fun to make and actually rather fun to use. It has all the properties of a solar power plant in a small 1x2 tile lot that will fit almost anywhere. The power output is reduced correspondingly to 500MWh per month. It produces 250% more power than a windmill at double the cost... making it a realistic addition to your cities power & cost-wise. Like an ideal girlfriend, it costs a bit less and puts out a bit more. ** Send all rebuffs and hate mail to deadletters@aol.com The parking lot on the lot is transit enabled. You may have to manually connect it. However, like the windmills, the lot does not have to have road access. ** This lot has no dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
