  1. Plaza Hotel New York

    Version 1.0

Plaza Hotel New York, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Like so many buildings in New York city, the Plaza Hotel can claim 'icon' status. This 20-story landmark building opened in 1907 on Central Park South and the main entrance faces the Grand Army Plaza (from which the Plaza Hotel derives its name). The building is in a French Renaissance Chateau style. It was extended in 1921 with the addition of a 300 room annexe along W58th St. This is a complex building - indeed one of the more complex buildings I have batted - with no two elevations the same. While the BAT I have made is a fairly faithful interpretation of the real Plaza hotel, in order to get this into a game constrained by 16m2 tiles, I have had to reinterpret some elements of the building. The main areas that have been deliberately altered to ensure that this is a good and useful game asset (rather than a strict recreation) are most evident along the W58th St side, which in real life is longer than the Central Park Side. To that end I have taken off approx 10m along the W58th St frontage which ensures that the building sits comfortably on 5 tiles and added a matching roof turret for symmetry. The front elevation is slightly narrower than the original to ensure that it sits within a 4 tile space. This is to ensure that other W2W buildings, which are typically 2 tiles deep can grow (or be plopped) adjacent to the building and neatly align (as per the screenshots). Lastly, the roof junk has been deliberately streamlined and simplified to avoid the very cluttered roof-top look of the original building. All that said, if you believe that a recreation must be 100% accurate, then this BAT is not for you, as I have made the changes to the building in order to ensure that it is a good and useful game asset. The building comes in a growable CS§§§ 4x5 lot, a ploppable CS§§§ 4x5 lot and a growable R§§§ 4x5 lot. It grows on the New York tileset and given that is an oversized Chateau, in my opinion would work equally well in a Euro environment. --------------------------------------- STATS CS§§§ (Growable & Ploppable): Lot size : 4x5 Growth Stage: 8 (High Density Zoning; N/A for ploppable) Bulldoze Cost: § 1,255 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 8,999 CS§§ 2,252 CS§§§ 903 Pollution: 45 (Air)/ 30 (Water)/ 60 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 6/7/0 Power Consumed: 188 Mwh Water Consumed: 1,683 Gal/Month Building Style: New York (N/A for ploppable) Occupant Group: High Wealth Commercial Services Building --------------------------------------- STATS R§§§ : Lot size : 4x5 Growth Stage: 7 (High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 1,255 Capacity Satisfied: R§ 10,143 R§§ 5,600 R§§§ 2,448 Pollution: 25 (Air)/ 8 (Water)/ 8 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 6/7/0 Power Consumed: 217 Mwh Water Consumed: 288 Gal/Month Building Style: New York (N/A for ploppable) Occupant Group: High Wealth Commercial Services Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. You must keep only one file - depending on which version you use. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. Regardless of which file you choose to keep, make sure you DO NOT delete the Lot File! If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/23089-simfox-day-and-nite-modd/) --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: * Dayopeace.dat N.B: this is for the moving flag props and is one of the Maxis files that were available on the official exchange. Most users will have this. However, if you don't, it is available here: https://community.simtropolis.com/sc4-maxis-files/ Scroll until you see the 'Day of Peace' and then click on the link. You do not need a drop-box account to download the file (you can dismiss the account creation request and download this as a guest). --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT PARKING TEXTURES: There are none. Your driver circles the block while you and your guests dine inside at the Palm Court. If you don't understand this concept, then don't download --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the contents of this file into your plugins folder. Thanks.

Founded in 1946 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, the chain has 1,754 stores in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Lowe's is the second-largest hardware chain in the United States and also is the second largest globally, behind The Home Depot but ahead of the European stores B&Q and OBI. This Lowe's is an original BAT by @Heblem. He kindly asked me to lot it for him and generously allowed me to upload it here on the STEX. While you are at it, please check out Heblem's other awesome work too. Included are two lot files - only use ONE of them: If you use the USL or LRM, use that version, otherwise, use the regular one. For comments/feedback/critique/praise or just to see what's coming up next (I have 40+ b62 building is queue), visit my lot thread over at Simpeg here or at Simtropolis here. ------- Stats: ------- 10x10 Landmark 150 CS$ Jobs Plop Cost : $3500 Bulldoze Cost : $350 Power Consumed : 30 Water Consumed : 12 Air/Water Pollution : Negligable Garbage Pollution : 20 over 0 tiles Flamability : 35 ------------------ Dependencies: ------------------ BSC MEGA Props - D66 Vol01 BSC Mega PRops - JES Vol01 PEG-SPAM_RESOURCE-01_b200.dat PEG-MTP-Greenhouse01_MOD_70% (Included) LBT Mega Prop Pack v.01.dat LBT Mega Texture Pack v.02 nos.17 Essentials Optional (USL&LRM verson ONLY): --------------------------------------------- Uniform Street Lighting Mod OR Light Replacement Mod v4.0
  3. IDS Office Plaza

    Version 1.3

    4,630 Downloads

SUMMARY IDS Office Plaza is a two-building lot featuring two of IDS2's towers combined to form a large office complex (growable and ploppable) for your SimCities. BACKGROUND When I saw IDS's Keillor Tower and Nelson Tower, I thought immediately that both would look great when used together on one lot. However, when I tried to lot them, somehow nothing went together. I took up the challenge and slowly managed to piece some drafts together. Then, after a while, one of them suddenly turned into a promising design and, eventually, into this lot. The result uses far too many dependencies to be really convenient, so I guess this is kind of a "take it or leave it" affair. I thought I'd release it anyway - maybe one or two of you out there are going to enjoy this, and I certainly won't be angry if you say "meh, too many dependencies, so I'll pass on this one". DESCRIPTION IDS Office Plaza was erected at a busy street corner and is composed of a low-rise building near the street and a taller tower further away from the road. Since each of the buildings is positioned in one diagonally opposite corner of the lot, two open plazas remain. The one in the back of the lower building is far away from the hustle and bustle of the road. Shaded by trees and somewhat secluded by water basins, it offers your busy Sims some cool and fresh air for a rest from their daily business. Two modern sculptures and comfortable benches to sit on allow for some quiet and contemplative moments to let the mind wander and forget about the busy city around for a while. The plaza at the corner, in front of the taller tower, features a grand entrance to the main tower, flanked by two fountains. The right-hand side, next to the lower building, serves as a café terrace with tables scattered under the trees that offers its guests some shade and a good look over the plaza and the street at the same time. The lot is entirely seasonal, uses shaded props and features many randomised elements such as varying smaller plants, café tables and crowds of Sims. You will also see Sims wandering randomly around on the lot to make it feel more lively. STATS / VALUES GROWABLE: Lot size and orientation: 5x9 right corner lot (see included zoning help picture) Tileset(s): Houston and Euro Zone type: High-density commercial only Occupants: 2,400 CO§§ jobs (medium-wealth commercial office) Growth stage: 7 PLOPPABLE: Same stats as growable version, i.e., it's a fully functional ploppable with jobs. Comes with a crisp custom icon and can be found in the Landmarks menu. Also features a custom description and a proper query sound. All other stats (pollution, consumption, value etc.) have been modded in line with Maxis buildings - you will not experience any surge in power demand, tax income, garbage, or anything else. DEPENDENCIES The buildings: Keillor Tower for the taller building Nelson Tower for the lower building NOTE: Only the respective .sc4model files are needed for this lot; if you do not want to use the standalone versions of the above buildings, you can delete all other files associated with them and put the .sc4model files in the same folder as IDS Office Plaza. If you do want to use the standalone buildings simultaneously, this will work just fine. In this case, you'll just need to have them installed somewhere. The textures: NDEX Texture Set Vol.1 for the base textures BSC Textures Vol.1 for the overlay textures The props: BSC Mega Props CP Vol.1 (please make sure you have the current "Earth Day" version) BSC Mega Props CP Vol.2 Fountain props included with CBT Tribune Tower (only the fountain props from the sub-folder included in that download are required! The building doesn't have to be installed or used, but can be used simultaneously if you like) FINAL WORDS Thanks to iLive for the tools, BSC and NDEX for the textures, Cycledogg for the superb props, darn42 for those nice fountains, and of course IDS2 for the buildings!

The planned use of the building was a groundbreaking concept at that time because it was th,e first mixed use zoned for Fifth Avenue, which had 21 floors of offices, 30 of condominiums and high-end retail on the first floor. The NBA offices are located in the tower between the 14th and 20th floors. But for the game, I've created an MLB shop in the corner on the fifth Ave and the 51st street for the Yankees and Mets. --------------------------------------------------------- Building Description: Landmark: Jobs: 2474 CO$$ Power consumed: 50 Water consumed: 504 Plop cost: $ 29468 lot size: 3x2 Growable: Office building Style: Houston Jobs: 2474 Co$$ Power consuOed: 50 Water consumed: 504 Pollution at center: Air:9 / Water:9 / Garbage:4 / Rad:0 Grow Stage: 8 lot size: 3x2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Model by Darknono35 -Extra-moding by Aaron Graham ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dependencies: NYBT essentials plugins Simfox day n nite mod Thanks at all persons who has supported me during the conception Good game !

  6. Old Market Hall

    Version 1.0

    12,083 Downloads

The Old Market Hall, by Mattb325. In major cities everywhere, the Market Hall has always been the centre of community focus. Originally used by farmers and market gardeners to sell produce, they quickly became a merchant hub where all manner of meat, fish, dairy and other wares could be bought and sold. In cities where Market Halls were not purpose built, many old industrial warehouses have been re-purposed as these are particularly suitable given their central location, cavernous spaces and abundant natural light. In real life, Market Halls have a great impact to property values nearby: they offer the health benefits of being able to buy very fresh, organic and in-season food from a variety of local growers. They provide large scale, basic employment and the larger Market Halls are almost always a tourist attraction. Maxis provided an in-game farmers market designed for smaller agricultural towns. The farmers market provides health benefits and lifts demand caps while providing some R$ jobs. However, Maxis, however, did not provide anything for cities and large towns which was quite a shame. So this is where the 'Old Market Hall' picks up where Maxis left off by providing slightly greater health benefits, 250 R$ and 100 R$$ jobs, helping to lift demand caps, raising the mayors rating and providing a tourist building plus a landmark effect. To provide all these benefits and jobs to the city costs $50 per month from the Parks & Rec coffers. The Old Market Hall building is offered as a reward (which is available at anytime). It does not over-write the in game Farmers Market and sits on a 4x5 lot. It is of course found in the rewards menu. The building itself is inspired by a building in downtown Roanoke, Virginia which was constructed in 1922. STATS: Plop Cost: $31,700 Bulldoze Cost: $15,000 Power Consumed: 50Mwh Water Consumed: 28 Gallons Pollution: 1 (air) / 1 (water) / 11 (garbage) Radius: 1 / 2 / 0 Occupant Groups: Reward, Tourist, Health - Other DEPENDENCIES: BSC BAT Props Mattb325 Vol02 (http://sc4devotion.c...php?lotGET=2383) To install, simply unzip this file into your plugins folder. Thankyou, and enjoy. Mac Users The original lot does not work with the Mac version of the game. If you use a Mac, after installation, replace the original .SC4Lot file with the one contained within "Mac Fix.zip".

  9. Radiant Tram Depot

    4,408 Downloads

HISTORY: The Radiant Tram Company opened it’s doors in the city of Radiant in 1914. Since then the main tram depot has seen over 180,000 tram cars pass through it’s doors in almost 100 years of service. The building housed the maintenance facilities for the City of Radiant Transportation Authority’s tram system. The building is still in use today. STATS: 4x4 Lot Ploppable Provides 17 Manufacturing Jobs No Monthly Cost No dependencies INSTALLATION: Please note that the lot is actually only 4x2 in size. The part of the building where the trams enter and exit to the street is an over hanging lot. To get trams to enter and exit create a small loop off of one of your active GLR lines. (see photo in the readme) Using the GLR only tiles (as opposed to the GLR in road tiles) will prevent cars from passing into the building walls. Also, the rail yard seen to the left is not part of the lot. I left that out so that you can feel free to create custom yards specifically for your needs. If you would like tram props you can download the tram museum by Andreas which includes tram props. Here is the link Thanks to TekindusT for pointing me to it. CREDITS: Carpenter7 2011

  15. Air New Zealand Engineering

    Version 1.0

    4,399 Downloads

This building is based on the large Air New Zealand Engineering Services hangar at Auckland Airport in Auckland, New Zealand. In real life the hangar is used for servicing of Air New Zealand's Boeing long-haul jets such as the 777 and 747. In the game, it is a ploppable I-HT lot, found at the top of the Airport Menu. The lot is set up so that a plane (Boeing 777) is showing in the hangar during the day, but at night the workers go home and shut-up shop. As this lot has I-HT jobs, it requires road access. An EyeCandy lot is also included. This lot has the doors of the hangar always shut and it does not require road access. NB - The set up of the timed props on the Ploppable I-HT lot means that a slight glitch occurs because the shadow of the day version remains at night. This causes a shadow from the tail of the 777 to be visible despite the absence of the plane itsself. It only affects one viewing angle. Dependency: PEG CC Car Cluster Mod
  16. Cologne Cable

    Version 1.0

Cologne Cable launches team GT and is a stage 5 CAMeLot 10x6 IM$$ anchor, modeled on a large cable-storage facility erected in 1984 at the industrial complex of Carlswerk in Cologne-Mülheim, Germany. For non-CAM players, a ploppable version wih 1685 IM$$ jobs will also be installed and will appear in your Landmarks menu. The BAT was created with 3DSMax 2010 and exported in Maxis-night version, and is modeled to scale—the actual building's footprint covers over 1½ soccer (football) fields. A prop pack containing HD cable spools and a scrapbin is also included in this package. This is a large lot to animate (23 empty tiles, to be exact), and the dreaded dependency list reflects that, but most should already be in your plugins folder. A Cleanitol file is also included in the zip to make life easier in this regard. To grow this lot, create a single 10x6 tile high-density IND lot by pressing the "Ctrl" key when dragging your zone. Unless your city has a high unsatisfied IM demand, a large, stage 5 CAMeLot such as this will normally appear after several intermediate-stage lots have grown, and for the impatient among you, the aforementioned non-CAM Landmark plop will be available. Please note that sufficient IM demand must exist in your cities both to grow the lot and avoid abandonment of either version. Full stats and dependency links are provided in the readme that accompanies the installer. Have fun!

Updated with jobs in a ploppable version, big up to Amthaak for that! First i want to say, yes i know it's rather dark compared to other 3dsmax BATs , and that it's even got shadows by night time. But keep in mind that this was before BAT4max 2.6 was out + Let There Be Light, that i rendered this. Now a Landmark standard lot, and a ploppable with jobs, still no growable. Either way, here you go, Schau Brewery, a big industrial building, which took a few months to make, it's got a lot of interesting little details to look at. Several murals including a naruto stencil made by a friend of mine. Should keep you occupied for several minutes. =P LM: Standard Landmark stats and all that, neither any dependencies, a plop with jobs might come soon, but not for the moment. PLOP: 250 jobs, otherwise it's all standard low pollution.

Ouellette Electronics focuses on the design and manufacture of cutting edge electronics, with its dedicated staff developing some of the world's most advanced products. At Ouellette Electronics, even the janitorial staff have PhDs. This large, dense, and urban industrial building begins to provide an alternative to Maxises I-HT districts, which are sprawling, provide few jobs, and are visually unattractive. Ouellette Electronics provides nearly twice as many jobs as the largest Maxis I-HT lot. An I-HT (High Tech Industrial/I§§§) growable and ploppable are included. There is an extra set of lots which have double the number of jobs as the normal version (marked as "X2"). These are for use with industry multiplier modds, though any of these lots may be used in any games, and without any conflicts. More information can be found below.
