Hey there guys - Presenting another BAT today. It's a 3x2 commercial lot of a market called Gama - a polish brand. I saw this store while street-viewing Poland and decided to recreate it to fill some gaps in my eastern european cities. Provides about 29 jobs and grows in every tileset since it has a generic look. Nightlights inclued - I can't stress enough how much I hate doing nightlights lol, but they're present on this file. Dependencies: BSC Common Dependencies Pack MS Car Props KOSC SuperSHK Parking Textures As always: any criticism, reviews and problems, just write below or in my BAT thread.- 3 Reviews

When Profit Hill was advertised in the past as the city of seemingly endless opportunities, the number of hopeful newcomers has been so great, that all companies were able to replenish their "human resources" in a matter of weeks. However, the stream of citizens who wanted to live in the Businesspeople's only city did not stop right there and then. Between 13 - 14 YOUS (Years of Udananian Settlement) this migrational influx has triggered the so-called "Expectations Crash" which caused a lot of residential zones to turn into a de facto social housing for the numerous unemployed people who could not support themselves due to the lack of promised jobs. After some emergency policies have been launched, the situation has again started to stabilize but many experts have, nonetheless, been calling for legislative measures to be taken as well. The Businesspeople economists have argued that another economically-volatile situation like "Expectations Crash" was still a possibility, despite the initial shock having dissipated. As a result, The Chief Executive Board of the Businesspeople Tribe have passed the so-called "Responsible Recruitment and Communication Bill" (RRCB) which forced all large employers to provide detailed information on how many vacancies a company is able to provide to potential job seekers. Apart from responsibilities the Bill has also offered some help to the employers in the form of modern recruitment questionnaires and checklists that help companies better determine who would indeed be a good fit with their firms. This has allowed to reduce the likelihood of the "perfect match" job candidates being rejected or overlooked during recruitment processes and ending up jobless in the "City of Possibilities". But the Bill has also introduced one important "micro-scale" change. Namely, it made it easier for average people to set up their own businesses... This seemingly slight change in regulations have been used with great success by those unfortunate enough to whom unemployment has been a sad fact of life. Rather then crawl under the blanket with a box of soft tissues and wait for better times, a certain group of Businesspeople have decided to take matters into their own hands, which is to be expected from the resourceful and entrepreneurial tribe like The Businesspeople. As a result, a new self-help foundation has been launched with a goal of finding earning opportunities for all who may need a stable employment. The name of this new initiative is "Small Business Society". Below, you can find the foundation's logo, mission and vision. SBS has, in fact, already had significant success in offering said alternative employment to the job-seekers. A few months ago, SBS representatives have struck a deal with the City Hall, in which they managed to reserve two Sirli Park-sized building parcels for the activities they have envisaged. During a five month crowdfunding campaign, the SBS has managed to accumulate enough donations to purchase two parcels from Profit Hill's City Hall. What is more, funding proved to be sufficient to support the establishment of the first few, new businesses. Small grocery shops, bars, electronic markets, accounting offices and pretty much any small businesses one can think of have started to come into existence almost overnight... ...in the Eastern parcel purchased by SBS as well as the one off to the West... ...both being located just slightly off towards North relative to the Downtown area. As you can see, the City Hall has also decided to support the project a little bit by granting one of the SBS' zones a tram connection and by adorning the new small-business zone with some aesthetical improvements. Thus, rewarding SBS' beneficiaries for their entrepreneurial spirit. Needless to say, many of the previously unemployed citizens have breathed a hearty sigh of relief and hopped aboard the SBS train, feeling that their prayers have finally been answered. In some cases, new shops have even started to show up in quite unusual places like... the slopes of Profit Hill... This has also caused the construction of the Profit Hill Park to resume - a project which has been put on hold even before "Expectations Crash" has begun. However, and quite unexpectedly, big businesses and CEOs of already existing firms have been rather unimpressed with the SBS initiative with some calling it a "threat to existing companies", "a scam" or even "a thin-veiled socialist utopia". It is said that, among other issues, large companies are disappointed with SBS and new, private companies taking away the human resources from already established businesses. Many of the companies along Main Avenue have recently expanded and enlarged their offices, hoping that they will be able to hire numerous new workers to further expand. As workers swarm into SBS-sponsored zones, this is obviously unlikely to happen soon. The spokesperson for the SBS, Mr. Aarskat Dalamahti have additionally denounced the criticisms, saying the following during his interview with "The Monetary" newspaper: "I don't understand why business moguls are so outraged at these great people. What other option did they have? Wait for corporate 'clemency' to finally be invited for a stupid job interview? How rude to even think that anyone should kneel down, pray and indefinitely wait for some HR team to call them up! It almost seems that now, companies like 'MerkaLonConsult' find privately-held pubs, bakeries and offices that SBS helped establish to be a competition to them... If that's the case, then it is probably 'MerkaLonConsult' itself who is having problems with its own business structure and solvency... We consider their comments to be quite unprofessional in terms of business ethics. In fact, their comments are generally out-of context too..." Interestingly, the conception of SBS has been coincidental with a similar movement away in the Northern Udanani, where The Altruists have created a whole neighborhood of small shops and markets in their town of Serene Thoughts. While a centrally-planned endeavor, The Altruists have nonetheless managed to develop a handsome, concentric commercial zone on the other side of the Jaland'di River. An action undertaken as a part of the plan of expanding Serene Thoughts westwards - closer to the Localvore-held areas. The Altruist leadership also hopes that in the future, a multitude of small businesses right next to the border may help facilitate trade exchanges with The Localvores. This is why the new circular neighborhood is "glued" to the Serene Thoughts - Farmington Road. Of course, it will take time before The Localvores warm up enough towards their neighbors to even appreciate the aforementioned possibility. But at least some operational essentials are already in place and used by The Altruists themselves for the time being. Although The Localvores are not too enthusiastic about socializing with The Altruists, both tribes continue to maintain a common exclusion zone around the W2E plant in Serene Thoughts. Meadow and tree planting efforts are ongoing, making the garbage deal between two tribes a relatively clean and balanced agreement. Small business and next-door shopping are definitely convenient and valuable things to have in a city. But Udananites have recently been troubled by other concerns... Many people have reported unusual murmurs and faint tremors underground. Citizens are unsure what to make out of this and many are worrying that these are telltale signs of an earthquake approaching... Hello! I play this game basically in creative mode, leaving it on pause. I am taking pictures of some new buildings and plopped down NUTS market pieces. There were a lot of them, they started out looking lovely, but by the time I took the picture 90% of the awnings had disappeared, leaving the metal frames exposed. Looked fairly terrible. I set the time to super fast but the awnings never came back. Is there a way to stop this from happening somehow? Thanks! 💗

H Mart is an American grocery chain based out of Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The chain specializes in Korean and Asian-American foods and is the largest Asian-American grocery chain in the United States. It currently operates 66 stores in 12 states, 3 stores in Canada and 2 stores in the U.K. Stores are typically 30,000 to 45,000 square feet. They almost always feature a well-stocked produce/fruit section, daily-made Korean side-dishes known as banchan, a large seafood section, and a food court with order-at-counter Korean, Asian and other Asian/Fusion eateries. More importantly, H Mart's shelves are more often-than-not filled with every instant noodle type and brand imaginable, so your college-aged dorm-dwelling Sims will have no problems filling their empty late-night stomachs after a trip here! The lot can be paired with TCC - Total Wine & More. Special thanks to @pclark06 for making the original lot. This 5x6 lot is a mirror-image of that lot so you can place it immediately adjacent to TCC - Total Wine & More to create a small retail plaza. The building can be found toward the top of your Landmarks menu (look for the "H" Mart logo). Plop cost is $1,000. The building nets your City $1 per month in "sales tax" revenue. There is one .dat file in the zip folder. Copy it to your Plugins folder for "best" results otherwise you'll more-than-likely get no results at all. Bugs with the Disease Research Center and Farmer's Market?
Naomi57 posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Bugs with the Disease Research Center and Farmer's Market? Do the Maxis vanilla Disease Research Center and Farmer's Market have any bugs? I reasonably frequently use these plops, and I haven't noticed any problems, and my Google searches haven't uncovered any issues. I'm asking here because I just saw this curious phrase on the Realistic Civic Mod. https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/4566-realistic-civic-mod/ ... 5) Health_Rewards_Fix: Fixes bugs with the Disease Research Center and Farmer's Market. I prefer vanilla economic gameplay, so the Realistic Civic Mod doesn't interest me, but a bug fix to Disease Research Center and Farmer's Market might be of great interest to me, if they have bugs? Thank you! -

In 1915, Marion Barton Skaggs purchased his father's 576-square-foot (53.5 m2) grocery store in American Falls, Idaho, for 1,089. By 1926, he had opened 428 Skaggs stores in 10 states. In the 1930s Safeway introduced produce pricing by the pound, adding “sell by” dates on perishables to assure freshness, nutritional labeling, even some of the first parking lots. Today, Safeway rakes in annual sales of an estimated sales $41 billion. After merging with the Albertson's supermarket chain, it employs over 250,000 people at more than 2,200 stores, making it the second largest supermarket chain in North America and the 11th largest retailer in the United States. This BAT was originally created by Bobbo662 (aka B62). Unfortunately, due to real life circumstances, he was unable to finish the lot. He graciously handed his work over to me to finish and subsequently upload for yall. For comments/feedback/critique/praise visit my lot thread or drop me a pm. I'd be happy to help. Description: There are some plaza plugins out there on the STEX, even a few modular ones, but with this set, I'm aiming at creating a fully comprehensive modular system of plazas which have a variety of different functions, are easy to combine, and allow adjustment of textures. This plugin contains a good number of modular lots that will allow you to create your custom plaza, sidewalk, or seawall. Fountains, ponds, benches, seawalls, market stalls, trees – nearly everything is available, I’ll leave it to your experimenting pleasure to find out. Most of them are purely decorational (while having park and landmark effect), only the market stalls will yield a bit money. All lots have been designed in a way that they are rather simple, thereby being able to be combined with each other easily. All lots can be found in the park menu, just below the default Maxis parks. By default, all lots will use the standard Maxis white pavement texture, however, I’ve included some texture override files that will allow you to customize this plugin in a way that all lots will change their textures. Mainly included are textures fitting with the PedMall puzzle pieces from the NAM, but since I’ve seen many users using plugins that override the PedMall textures, I’ve also included a few extra overrides. Note: There has been a last-minute change to this plugin that isn't reflected in the screenshots above: I had to remove all the people lurking around on the lots because their immense amount looked horrible, and I couldn't find a way to randomize their appearance. Please make sure to read the included readme carefully, since you can't just install this plugin and play - due to the texture overrides, you need to customize it first. Available languages: English, German Dependencies: Please refer to the Readme for information about what the dependencies do. Unfortunately, this time you get a good load of dependencies, fortunately, however, most of them are candidates I'm using frequently, anyway, or just dependency packages that do nothing except adding props/textures and won't flood you with a lot of lots that will fill your menues quickly. Exception: I've had to use one file from the Historic Harbor plugin, which comes with many lots. You only need one file from there (see below). Important: If you have downloaded and installed this before June 16th, 2020, please look for the file MPS Textures.dat and remove it. It has become obsolete with the release of the 11241036 Textures. This means that users that are using it will find the MPS lots in their own submenu, which is further divided into 7 submenus (see below). Users not using the Submenus DLL mod will simply find the MPS lots in the park menu, somewhere in the center. Please read the installation instructions below to avoid problems like missing lot icons. The submenu button looks like this (only one out of the four circles is visible at a time): Included Files: MPS Core Files.dat (mandatory): Contains all lots for the Modular Plaza System, along with their descriptions and icons. Seawall Connection Lots.dat (optional): 4 lots that can be used on slopes to connect ground traffic routes to the overpass puzzle pieces from the NAM and thereby blending them in with the seawall system you get with this download. You can, of course, as well do this with the NAM’s default hillside transition pieces, but they won’t fit into the seawalls, visually. z_(Name).dat (all optional): A total of 12 additional files that you can choose form that will override your existing MPS lots to give them different base textures. Keep only one of them, or just remove them all if you want to play with the base Maxis white pavement texture (see installation instructions below). MPS_Submenu Park.dat, MPS_Submenu Plazas.dat (mandatory when using memo‘s Submenus DLL mod): contains the submenu entry files for the MPS lots. Only use one of these two files. Installation: Step 1: Please move or copy all existing files (except the Readme files) into the Plugins folder of your edition of SimCity 4. Step 2: Choose one texture override. These texture overrides are located one each in all files starting with z_. To apply one, remove all other texture override. To play with the default Maxis White Pavement, remove all texture overrides. You may want to look into the folder “Screenshots Texture Overrides“ to find out how they will look in-game. You can at any time switch to another texture system by replacing the existing texture override file with another one, in-game, the textures will adapt automatically. Step 3: To make the submenu buttons appear correctly, install either the file MPS_Submenu Parks.dat or the file MPS_Submenu Plazas.dat (only one out of these two files). The first file moves the MPS submenu simply into the Park menu, the latter one into memo’s Plaza submenu. Uninstalling: To uninstall this plugin, please bulldoze all MPS lots in your cities and then remove all MPS files from your Plugins folder. Compatibility: Since this plugin requires installation of the NAM, it is only compatible with SimCity 4: Rush Hour or SimCity 4 Deluxe. Support: Please feel free to post issues, bug reports, and suggestions in this thread: -

From the album Weekly Challenge #18 - City Life
Although Baie de Byron (the capital city of Republique de Guatalaga) has grown into a city with over 200.000 citizens, the markets are still a part of everyday life. The market on Market Square is the biggest one in the city, being partially indoor and outdoor. Here the citizens of Baie de Byron can buy all the local produce they feed at a fair price.© 2015 Office du Tourisme de Guatalaga

To purchase items from Sam's Club, one must purchase a membership. Hello! I'm here again after my not successful "Panel skyscraper of Krasnomoria". I had took into account the problem with textures, and I coped with it. Now is staying one problem, it's lights. And now about this file. It's a hypermarket of (my fictional) company of stores, markets, supermarkets, and etc. which called "priZma", and staying in Latagnia (before Krasnamoria). This is first and single hypermarket of this company. Location: 7 km to west from Cenin (capital of Latagnia) Number of parking spaces: about 900 Cost of parking: free Time of working: 7 am - 11 pm Dependencies: European cars Automata and family props new instances - Automata PEG MTP SUPER PACK Now it's "landmark", soon, when I learn to manage lights, I will create a Commercial version. Thanks for help and download! Staff Edit: Added image and dependency links. 7/26/2023 -
So I have some oil drilling happening in one city, but I want to make another one of my cities in the same region a major trading hub. Can I trade my oil from one city to the other, then have my trading city sell it to the Global Market with a trade depot? Because I don't really understand how this works and I can't figure it out. Thanks!
