Short Description: There are some plaza plugins out there on the STEX, even a few modular ones, but with this set, I'm aiming at creating a fully comprehensive modular system of plazas which have a variety of different functions, are easy to combine, and allow adjustment of textures. This plugin contains a good number of modular lots that will allow you to create your custom plaza, sidewalk, or seawall. Fountains, ponds, benches, seawalls, market stalls, trees – nearly everything is available, I’ll leave it to your experimenting pleasure to find out. Most of them are purely decorational (while having park and landmark effect), only the market stalls will yield a bit money. All lots have been designed in a way that they are rather simple, thereby being able to be combined with each other easily. All lots can be found in the park menu, just below the default Maxis parks. By default, all lots will use the standard Maxis white pavement texture, however, I’ve included some texture override files that will allow you to customize this plugin in a way that all lots will change their textures. Mainly included are textures fitting with the PedMall puzzle pieces from the NAM, but since I’ve seen many users using plugins that override the PedMall textures, I’ve also included a few extra overrides. Note: There has been a last-minute change to this plugin that isn't reflected in the screenshots above: I had to remove all the people lurking around on the lots because their immense amount looked horrible, and I couldn't find a way to randomize their appearance. Please make sure to read the included readme carefully, since you can't just install this plugin and play - due to the texture overrides, you need to customize it first. Available languages: English, German Dependencies: Please refer to the Readme for information about what the dependencies do. Unfortunately, this time you get a good load of dependencies, fortunately, however, most of them are candidates I'm using frequently, anyway, or just dependency packages that do nothing except adding props/textures and won't flood you with a lot of lots that will fill your menu quickly. Exception: I've had to use one file from the Historic Harbor plugin, which comes with many lots. You only need one file from there (see below). BSC Mega Props - KWKVol02: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=627 BSC Mega Props - SG Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=746 BSC Mega Props - swi21 Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=403 BSC Mega Props Gascooker Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=397 BSC VIP girafe Ashes: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2854 BSC VIP girafe Beeches: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2995 BSC VIP girafe Birches: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2620 BSC VIP girafe Common Spruces: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2945 BSC VIP girafe Elms: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3347 BSC VIP girafe Lindens: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2869 BSC VIP girafe Norway Maples: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2740 Buildings as Props: http://www.simcityplaza.de/index.php/tools-und-andere-downloads/offizielle-downloads/file/446-buildings-as-props-von-maxis SFBT Essentials: http://www.simcityplaza.de/index.php/props-und-texturen/essentials?download=162:sfbt-essentials-dezember-2015-(windows) You only need the file Fence - Iron small.dat from the Historic Harbor plugin. Optional but helpful: The following dependencies are required for some of the texture overrides, but the base MPS plugin will entirely work without them: BSC Textures Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=90 BSC Textures Vol02: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=638 Vortexture 1 - Base Set: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3211 Contained Files: MPS Core Files.dat (mandatory): Contains all lots for the Modular Plaza System, along with their descriptions and icons. MPS Textures.dat (mandatory): Contains a few overlay textures that have been created specifically for the MPS. Seawall Connection Lots.dat (optional): 4 lots that can be used on slopes to connect ground traffic routes to the overpass puzzle pieces from the NAM and thereby blending them in with the seawall system you get with this download. You can, of course, as well do this with the NAM’s default hillside transition pieces, but they won’t fit into the seawalls, visually. z_(Name).dat (all optional): A total of 10 additional files that you can choose form that will override your existing MPS lots to give them different base textures. Keep only one of them, or just remove them all if you want to play with the base Maxis white pavement texture (see installation instructions below). Installation: Please move or copy all existing files (except the Readme files) into the Plugins folder of your edition of SimCity 4. After doing so, please choose one texture override. These texture overrides are located one each in all files starting with z_. To apply one, remove all other texture override. To play with the default Maxis White Pavement, remove all texture overrides. You may want to look into the folder “Screenshots Texture Overrides“ to find out how they will look in-game. You can at any time switch to another texture system by replacing the existing texture override file with another one, in-game, the textures will adapt automatically. To uninstall this plugin, please bulldoze all MPS lots in your cities and then remove all MPS files from your Plugins folder. Compatibility: This plugin is only compatible with SimCity 4: Rush Hour or SimCity 4 Deluxe.

In 1915, Marion Barton Skaggs purchased his father's 576-square-foot (53.5 m2) grocery store in American Falls, Idaho, for 1,089. By 1926, he had opened 428 Skaggs stores in 10 states. In the 1930s Safeway introduced produce pricing by the pound, adding “sell by” dates on perishables to assure freshness, nutritional labeling, even some of the first parking lots. Today, Safeway rakes in annual sales of an estimated sales $41 billion. After merging with the Albertson's supermarket chain, it employs over 250,000 people at more than 2,200 stores, making it the second largest supermarket chain in North America and the 11th largest retailer in the United States. This BAT was originally created by Bobbo662 (aka B62). Unfortunately, due to real life circumstances, he was unable to finish the lot. He graciously handed his work over to me to finish and subsequently upload for yall. For comments/feedback/critique/praise visit my lot thread or drop me a pm. I'd be happy to help. From the album Weekly Challenge #18 - City Life

Although Baie de Byron (the capital city of Republique de Guatalaga) has grown into a city with over 200.000 citizens, the markets are still a part of everyday life. The market on Market Square is the biggest one in the city, being partially indoor and outdoor. Here the citizens of Baie de Byron can buy all the local produce they feed at a fair price.

The first Sam's Club opened in April 1983 in Midwest City, Oklahoma in the United States. Sam's Club is named after the founder of Wal-Mart, Sam Walton. To purchase items from Sam's Club, one must purchase a membership. Many Sam's Club customers are small businesses (such as bowling alleys) that wish to offer customers a limited selection of food without the expense of having it delivered. In 1993, Wal-Mart acquired PACE Membership Warehouse and converted them into Sam's Clubs. This BAT was originally created by Bobbo662 (aka B62). Hello! I'm here again after my not successful "Panel skyscraper of Krasnomoria". I had took into account the problem with textures, and I coped with it. Now is staying one problem, it's lights. And now about this file. It's a hypermarket of (my fictional) company of stores, markets, supermarkets, and etc. which called "priZma", and staying in Latagnia (before Krasnamoria). This is first and single hypermarket of this company. Location: 7 km to west from Cenin (capital of Latagnia) Number of parking spaces: about 900 Cost of parking: free Time of working: 7 am - 11 pm Dependencies: http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/14400-european-cars-automata-and-family-props-new-instances/ Now it's "landmark", soon, when I learn to manage lights, I will create a Commescial version. Thanks for help and download!
  14. So I have some oil drilling happening in one city, but I want to make another one of my cities in the same region a major trading hub. Can I trade my oil from one city to the other, then have my trading city sell it to the Global Market with a trade depot? Because I don't really understand how this works and I can't figure it out. Thanks!
  15. Paeng's Modular Kingston Market

    Version 1.0

    3,135 Downloads

An old favorite of mine revisited... Here is a small set of modular lots designed to build your own marketplace in any size and shape around the Kingston Market Hall. DEPENDENCIES * Kingston Market (see notes below) * SG 01 Mega Props * Paeng Texture Pack v103 ~ Optional ~ * Small Market Hall by Kwakelaar DEVELOPER NOTES The needed dependency BSCBATProps Gascooker Vol04 is INCLUDED in the 'Kingston Market' install package from SC4D! * That file might also be inside one of GC's megapacks - I prefer the very small Vol04 though, as it contains no 'ballast'. Your mileage may vary! Kingston Market is a functional COM landmark with jobs (see in-game menu for details) - so it needs power, water and street access. There are no reward conditions. The original 'timed' functions were preserved. The Market Stalls are plain eyecandy landmarks, but need a little power and water. The three additional lots by Kwakelaar are optional. If you don't want to use them, delete that file (paeng_KingstonMarketStalls_Kwa.dat). All lots are at or near the end of your Landmarks menu with custom icons. INSTALLATION Just drop the whole bundle in your Plugins. You may also opt to install only certain items - remove the ones you do not wish to use. To un-install - first, bulldoze any lots built with this addon, then remove the complete folder from your Plugins. To keep your in-game menu tight, move all *.SC4Lot files from the dependencies to a safe location outside your plugins. SUPPORT Should you need support for these items please visit the PLEX on the STEX - Community Support Forums Enjoy!
  16. Old Market Hall

    Version

    8,880 Downloads

The Old Market Hall, by Mattb325. In major cities everywhere, the Market Hall has always been the centre of community focus. Originally used by farmers and market gardeners to sell produce, they quickly became a merchant hub where all manner of meat, fish, dairy and other wares could be bought and sold. In cities where Market Halls were not purpose built, many old industrial warehouses have been re-purposed as these are particularly suitable given their central location, cavernous spaces and abundant natural light. In real life, Market Halls have a great impact to property values nearby: they offer the health benefits of being able to buy very fresh, organic and in-season food from a variety of local growers. They provide large scale, basic employment and the larger Market Halls are almost always a tourist attraction. Maxis provided an in-game farmers market designed for smaller agricultural towns. The farmers market provides health benefits and lifts demand caps while providing some R$ jobs. However, Maxis, however, did not provide anything for cities and large towns which was quite a shame. So this is where the 'Old Market Hall' picks up where Maxis left off by providing slightly greater health benefits, 250 R$ and 100 R$$ jobs, helping to lift demand caps, raising the mayors rating and providing a tourist building plus a landmark effect. To provide all these benefits and jobs to the city costs $50 per month from the Parks & Rec coffers. The Old Market Hall building is offered as a reward (which is available at anytime). It does not over-write the in game Farmers Market and sits on a 4x5 lot. It is of course found in the rewards menu. The building itself is inspired by a building in downtown Roanoke, Virginia which was constructed in 1922. STATS: Plop Cost: $31,700 Bulldoze Cost: $15,000 Power Consumed: 50Mwh Water Consumed: 28 Gallons Pollution: 1 (air) / 1 (water) / 11 (garbage) Radius: 1 / 2 / 0 Occupant Groups: Reward, Tourist, Health - Other DEPENDENCIES: BSC BAT Props Mattb325 Vol02 (http://sc4devotion.c...php?lotGET=2383) To install, simply unzip this file into your plugins folder. Thankyou, and enjoy.

Since the start of the agricultural revolution, a need for large fresh produce markets has come up - after all it doesn't make much sense to grow all that stuff and not have a central distribution point. So here is a modular set to help you create just that... LIST OF ITEMS * 3x1 Admin and Offices, COM w/ 135 CS$ jobs * 5x3 Loading Bay 2-sided * 5x2 Loading Bay 1-sided * 4x1 Truck Parking * 2x1 Small Trailer Parking * 1x1 Fillers with three different truck-families DEPENDENCIES * SPAM Super Resource * Grunge Concrete Set * SG 01 Megapack DEVELOPER NOTES The set is highly modular to create a market of any size you need or want. The office lot serves as an 'anchor' and holds all the jobs for the complete market. It is the only lot in the set that needs to have road access. All lots need power and water. Most of the vehicles are timed prop families so there will be a lot of 'movement' throughout the day. Note that the 'Grunge Concrete Set' dependency holds not only the needed textures, but also a set of access paths and fillers to expand your market and tie together the various modules. You find all items at or near the end of the 'Landmarks' menu. If you need further items to expand the market (like more trucks, weighbridges, kiosks and similar items) you may want to check out sets like the Modular Truck Stop or similar. CREDITS The Loading Bays are special custom BATs created by Becca (RebaLynnTS) and are included with her kind permission. LOTting and MODding: Paeng Thanks for the request goes to Dublin, and to all who gave input at the Simpeg forums :-) SUPPORT Should you need support for these items please visit the Paeng Production Forum Enjoy!

This set contains three plazas for use with the BSC Raised Park series. These lots, and the ones in the associated Rasied Park sets, are based on some ideas I got from Japan. In Shinjuku there are some parks raised above street level. This has the effect of removing much of the traffic noise from the park areas. Connecting these parks to each other and nearby buildings are pedestrian bridges to keep the pedestrian traffic flowing. Finally the Tokyo Government Office building has some amazing stonework at its base emulating some of the magnificent Japanese castles. These were combined into a common set of lots contained in this (and associated) lots. This set contains three lots; a 2x2 corner plaza so sims can enter the raised parks, a 3x3 plaza featuring a fountain and some trees to relax in, and a 3x3 plaza with a market. The lots (see readme) are modded to act as a combination of Flower Gardens and Plaza's, with the emphasis being on Landmark Effect (to boost commercial demand/growth). The lots will reduce some air pollution, but do use and pollute water. The market plaza features Gascookers market stall props which are packed up of an evening. The lots are meant to be used on the edges of a raised park; the 2x2 on a corner and the 3x3 lots on an edge. The lots are designed to work with the BSC Raised Park set (also found on the STEX) and won't look right without the Raised Park pieces around them. These lots are BSC Tracking Enabled (BTE) which means they may contribute to Reward Chains. Thanks to the BSC for assistance with these lots and the series. Special thanks to Gascooker for the props.
