Hong Kong's first constitution, in the form of Queen Victoria's Letters Patent which was entitled the Charter of the Colony of Hong Kong, authorized the establishment of the Legislative Council to advise the Governor's administration. The Council had four Official Members when it was first established. The first direct elections of the Legislative Council were held in 1991. The Legislative Council became a fully elected legislature for the first time in its history in 1995. To prepare for the handover of the sovereignty of Hong Kong from the British government to the Chinese government, a Provisional Legislative Council was established by the Preparatory Committee for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) under the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China in 1996. The Provisional Legislative Council, in operation from January 1997 to June 1998, initially held its meetings in Shenzhen. The Legislative Council of the HKSAR was established in 1998 under The Basic Law of the HKSAR. The first meeting of the Council was held in July of the same year in Hong Kong.     The Hong Kong / Asia BAT Team presents Sun Hung Kai Centre v.3 BAT created by bixel Modding, lot design, readme & custom menu icons by T Wrecks Check out the Hong Kong /Asia BAT Team thread at Simtropolis Introduction / Overview Sun Hung Kai Centre was completed in 1981 and tops out at a height of 215 m. It is the corporate headquarters of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. This BAT is an accurate recreation of the real-life building. Since there are so many high-wealth buildings in SC4 already, it has been modded both as high-wealth and as medium-wealth version. In total, you can choose any of the following options: Ploppable landmark Ploppable functional CO$$$ Growable CO$$$ Ploppable functional CO$$ Growable CO$$ All high-wealth lots and the landmark version share the same basic design, whereas the medium-wealth version uses a different base texture. As always. flora and people on the lot are randomized and will change every time the building grows or is plopped. Note: Ploppable and landmark versions feature individual custom menu icons that will allow you to see immediately which version is which. Moreover, both versions are to be found conveniently grouped together near the bottom of your landmark menu. The medium-wealth version should appear above the other two versions (if all three ploppables are used) because it is a tad cheaper to plop. Dependencies For the landmark and the high-wealth versions, make sure you have Maxis' Kunjungjon landmark installed. Otherwise, there are no dependencies; you don't need anything from the STEX. This way, if you need to clean your HD and reinstall your OS, you can simply copy the stuff from your backup archive into your plugins folder instead of having to download all plugins anew. That said, in order to use this building in game, I suggest you first go to your plugins folder and make a sub-folder for the Sun Hung Kai Centre. Then, simply copy the .sc4model file (the actual building model) plus the sub-folder(s) of whatever version(s) you'd like to use into the newly created Sun Hung Kai Centre folder. To uninstall a version you don't like, first bulldoze all instances of that version in your cities, then save the cities and exit. I’m calling this BAT a ‘partial’ recreation because several aspects of the model differ from the real world building, mainly around the base. I also noticed something went wrong in the previous model causing the night fsh's to be doubled. That problem is fixed in this one so the filesize is a lot smaller. I'll fix the other version soon. Introduction / Overview This is a recreation of International Commerce Centre, currently (2010) the tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong with a height of 484 metres. The real-world building is situated in Union Square on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour. With this download, you can add one of the world's tallest buildings to your SimCity, but you better reserve some space, because this baby is BIG! In total, you will find the following versions: ploppable landmark (transit-enabled) growable CO$$$ (transit-enabled) Note: This structure is almost too big for SC4, hence the number of jobs that the CO$$$ version holds is actually rather small compared to the size of the building. On the other hand, it may be hard to grow even with this occupant number; going even higher might have made it impossible to grow. Should you encounter problems getting this building to grow, I recommend using the Extra Cheats dll to plop it by means of the "buildingplop" cheat. A quick reminder about transit-enabled lots: Connecting the lot to your traffic network wherever possible is optional, and not connecting them will not affect the functionality of the building. Please remember that once a transit-enabled growable lot has grown, it cannot be overgrown by other lots automatically, i.e. once it's there, it will stay there forever unless you bulldoze it.
