Ok, I looked at Simfox's trees, and I'm guessing I should make mine a little lighter, and slightly more saturated?

Hey everyone, after about 8 months of sitting nearly finished, and not rendered, I decided to open up my Los Angeles City Hall and take a look at it. I've been fixing it up a bit, and getting it ready for an actual final render. I think I'm done with everything, nightlights included. Here's a preview of it right now, I may still make some small changes to it. I'm not too sure when I'll have time to start the render, but it shouldn't be too long.

I restarted working on the city hall a couple weeks ago, it's actually been done for several months, I just never got around to rendering it . I'm glad I waited, because taking a look at it recently, I spotted things I wanted to change or add. I know I've said it a hundred times before, but you can expect it within the month.

This BAT is a re-render of my previous One California Plaza from last year. I was able to bring it into 3dsMax, and retexture and scale it to match better with my recent Two California Plaza. This BAT is based on the 42 story One California Plaza, located in Downtown Los Angeles, and built in 1985. It includes both a growable and ploppable version. Both versions are on a 4x4 lot, and both provide 3000 Co$$ jobs. The ploppable version costs $45,000 to place. This BAT requires no dependencies. Enjoy!- 34 Comments

Hey everyone, I know I haven't updated in a while, but I really haven't had much time to work on these. I'm finally pretty much done with Two California Plaza, and once I make a few small changes, it'll be ready. I'll probably do a final render of it tomorrow, and upload soon after, but here's a image of it in game, this is pretty much it, just need to fix minor things. As for City Hall, that still has a ways to go, but I have been able to make some progress on it in the past week. Mostly what I have left to do is small details on the back of it, some texture work, and night lighting, but I wouldn't expect it until after school ends (second week of May?). Anyway, here's a recent render of it. After I'm finally done with these, I'm not sure if I'll be starting any new projects. I know there are still plenty of great landmarks around the city that I'd like to make and people want, but I think the most I'll be doing is maybe importing some of my old buildings into Max and updating them. If I ever find the time, maybe I'll consider something new, but probably not this year. Anyway, any feedback on these would be appreciated, but I think Two Cal is complete.

Looks pretty good so far, keep it up! I saw you mention no city hall, I'm actually working on it, you can see a preview in my BAT thread in the open discussion section.

I can't answer your question as to why both windows don't open, but to stop you render early just press escape, and x out of the preview render.

I'm not certain, but I'm guessing you might need to re-fit your LOD's. In the utilities tab where you export, preview, etc., click parameters, and the Re-Fit LOD's. Hope that fixes it.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! SimFox: As I was going to use your method to fix the colors, I noticed that all the rgb values had been changed after I pressed of in the gamma setting window. They were as bright as in the render, and it didn't come out right. No problem though, because I think I got them relatively close to the originals: I still have a little work to do to get them just right, but it shouldn't be a problem now, I'm just glad I was able to fix the lighting before I uploaded, thanks for the help. As for the City Hall, I'm still playing around with it in Max and reapplying textures, but I think it's turning out pretty good, here's a quick render I did just for fun: And a photo of the real thing for comparison: Anyway, I don't think I'll get any of these out before I start school, so I'm not sure on any release dates.
