Preview Pic Texture: vanilla About: Amityville is a village in the town of Babylon in Suffolk County, New York, in the United States. The population was 9,523 at the 2010 census. Huntington settlers first visited the Amityville area in 1653 due to its location to a source of salt hay for use as animal fodder.Chief Wyandanch granted the first deed to land in Amityville in 1658. The area was originally called Huntington West Neck South, but is now the Town of Babylon. According to village lore, the name was changed in 1846 when residents were working to establish its new post office. The meeting turned into bedlam and one participant was to exclaim, "What this meeting needs is some amity". Another version says the name was first suggested by mill owner Samuel Ireland to name the town for his boat, the Amity. The place name is strictly speaking an incidental name, marking an amicable agreement on the choice of a place name. The village was formally incorporated on March 3, 1894. In the early 1900s, Amityville was a popular tourist destination with large hotels on the bay and large homes. Annie Oakley was said to be a frequent guest of vaudevillian Fred Stone. Will Rogers had a home across Clocks Boulevard from Stone. Gangster Al Capone also had a house in the community. Amityville has been twinning with Le Bourget, France since 1979. Amityville is the setting of the book The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson, which was published in 1977 and had been adapted into a series of films made between 1979 and 2018. The story of The Amityville Horror can be traced back to a real life murder case in Amityville in November 1974, when Ronald DeFeo Jr. shot all six members of his family at 112 Ocean Avenue. In December 1975 George and Kathy Lutz and Kathy's three children moved into the house, but left after twenty-eight days, claiming to have been terrorized by paranormal phenomena produced by the house. Jay Anson's novel is said to be based on these events but has been the subject of much controversy; the murder case actually happened, but the house being haunted remains a matter of debate. The house featured in the novel still exists but has been renovated and the address changed in order to discourage tourists from visiting it. The Dutch Colonial Revival architecture house built in 1927 was put on the market in May 2010 for $1.15 million and sold in September for $950,000.
  3. Ben Rose House

    Version 1.0.0

    1,468 Downloads

Ben Rose House, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Made famous by the 1986 movie, 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', the Ben Rose House is a modernist residence designed by architect James Speyer in Highland Park, Illinois, for Ben and Francis Rose. The steel, timber and glass house was built in 1953 and sits surrounded by many trees overlooking a ravine. A separate pavilion was built in 1974. The house was recently put on the market, and despite representing stunning modernist design, failed to secure buyers. In addition to the interiors of the house requiring modernisation, the main reason that was given for lack of buyer interest was the two separate pavilions: while visually charming, this is quite impractical during winter in many temperate locations, let alone the bitter weather that Chicago often experiences. The house eventually sold after many years on the market and substantial discounting. To that end, I have added a glass walkway to connect the two pavilions, so this house is by no means a replica. This BAT is offered as a Mayor's house. There are two different versions included in the download: you can keep one or both, and both can be used at the same time in the same city if you wish. The first version is a 6x6 heavily wooded lot with a custom foundation that is designed to be placed on hillsides. This gives the mayor a perfectly private sanctuary overlooking his or her city. The second version is a 4x4 lot without a custom foundation that is designed for more level ground and has far fewer trees: this version is more suited to areas which are more urban, or for those who predominantly play on flat areas. Like the in-game Mayor's House, both lots are found in the Rewards Menu and have a separate icon and description to easily distinguish between the two versions. Placing this reward will boost surrounding desirability for business and residential, raise demand caps, provide jobs, and provide both landmark and park effects. It needs road, power and water. There are no restriction as to how often these lots can be placed and this reward will not over-write, or interfere with, any other mayor house rewards (including the in-game version). --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size: 4x4 or 6x6 Plop Cost: § 4,550 Bulldoze Cost: § 730 Monthly Cost: § 45 Wealth: High Park Effect: 150 over 60 tiles Landmark Effect: 120 over 60 tiles Mayor Rating: 8 over 220 tiles Pollution at Centre: 1 (air) /1 (water) /5 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 2/3/0 Demand Created: R§ 5, R§§ 10, R§§§ 2 Power Consumed: 24 Mwh Water Consumed: 32 Gallons Occupant Groups: Reward; Mayors House --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: To ensure proper functionality, make sure the following files are in your plugins folder: *BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180) *BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2790) *BSC Texture Pack - Cycledogg V01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=101) --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder.
  4. Movies are awesome. Any good games and music as well but a really good movie i don't have to do anything at all in and it's for both the ears and eyes to enjoy, sounds lazy but what? We've developed the whole world now and time for a rest and enjoy our life's! The amount of movies i've seen is so big at this point so if i am going to list all of my choices i would miss several because of my memory and it would be a too long list but a top ten choice i will try to list here but i will probably not be so correct with it and have to leave out several top notch one's as well. Top 10 Choices of Toby's Gourmet Movies: 1. The Godfather trilogy 2. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest (called "Gökboet" in Sweden and it was an instant hit in this country). 3. Das Boot (about the German submarine crew during WW2). 4. The Usual Suspects 5. Cable Guy (I like most of Jim Carrey's movies because of his humor and rubber face. If i chose one of them i chose this one). 6. Alien 1, 2 and 4 7. Full Metal Jacket 8. Planes Trains & Automobiles 9. The Terminator 1 and 2 10. Poltergeist Well it's just some i came to think of now when looking into my movie folder on my PC. This list will have to do and just to post something here now and get some topic's going in the forum.
  5. Everybody has a type of movie they hate a lot so why not tell us in this thread.
  6. So everytime I start up SimCity 4 its the same intro movie every single time. I was wondering if there was a way to replace it with a new one. I did a google search and found a thread on here about how to skip it, but thats not what I want. I want to make a new one.

  8. DeLorean

    Version 2

    1,176 Downloads

We have to go back! Back to the past, so we can go back to Back to the Future. The way I see it, if you're going to build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Powered with 1.21 Gigawatts, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious stuff! Just remember to pack some extra Plutonium for the ride home. Or some weather reports if you need a lightning storm! About the upload- There are two files included. One file adds a stock DeLorean to the game while the second file adds the DeLorean Time Machine from the Back to the Future trilogy. They will be found on the roads of your city. This file is a revisiting of a DeLorean that was released two years back in order to give it a better model, better textures and the time machine variant. You could say I was a slacker. Sorry, hoverboards not included. Dependencies? None required.

  10. Naughty NIMBY Pack Volume 1

    Version 1.0

    7,750 Downloads

Do you want to catch the midnight showing of Sally's SimCity Sins? Or maybe you would prefer to see Naughty Nurses, or Bad Boys of Brazil? Well, since the local video store probably doesn't carry Milkmaid Frolics, then this NIMBY set (the first of an ongoing series) is the cure. Here are four different theatres showing those adult-oriented titles you won't find at the local multiplex. Featured in this download are the following establishments... The Eros Theatre The Lyric Theatre The Rexxx Theatre The Viceroy Theatre All four are CS$ growables on 1x2 lots in stages 3, 4, and 5. Jobs range from 24 to 30, with stats and modding similar to previous uploads. All have custom nightlights (really, who would go to see these kinds of movies during the day, anyways?) and the only dependency required is the .dat sound file included with this upload. Because these are NIMBY, they are modded with some slightly detrimental effects - if you have any problems with that, or with the content of this upload, then don't download them. See the "readme" file for more details, as well as some extra tidbits regarding my uploads. So grab your raincoat and stop on by. Just don't sit in the same row as anyone else...and use the restroom at home beforehand...
  11. Grindhouse Theatre Pack

    Version 1.0

    6,437 Downloads

Do you find the recent selection at the local multiplex a little lacking? Do movie titles like I Spit On Your Grave and The Bloody Mutilators interest you more than something like The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant? If the only movies that titilate you involve atomic flesh-eating zombies and half-naked nubile young virgins in jeopardy, then these are for you - presenting six different grindhouse theaters, showing a whole range of exploitation flicks. From roughies and "nudie cuties," to "white coaters," mondo, giallo, snuff, slasher films, spaghetti westerns, and nunsploitation, these places have them all. Featured in this download are the following establishments... The Aero Theatre - showing Killer Nun The Chelsea Theatre - showing Maniac The Crown Theatre - showing Lorna The Empire Theatre - showing Sugar Hill The Glenwood Theatre - showing Blood Feast The Parkland Theatre - showing I Drink Your Blood Six different growables theatres on 1x2 lots, all of which are CS$ stages 3, 4, and 5. Jobs range from 26 to 32, with stats compiled and modded in accordance with previous uploads. All six have custom nightlights, and the only dependency required is the .dat sound file utilized in my earlier Arthouse Theatre Pack. Also check out the "readme" file, for grindhouse movie trivia and other tidbits! So, who cares if the ceiling is crumbling, the toilets are backed up, the popcorn is stale, and the wino sitting in the back row is talking to the screen? Where else are you going to find Eaten Alive or Women In Cages playing within a hundred mile radius, and at such a good bargain, too? Enjoy!
  12. Arthouse Theatre Pack

    Version 1.0

    8,510 Downloads

Is your home theater library jam-packed with titles from the Criterion Collection? Do you find words like auteur and mise-en-scene creeping into your everyday conversation? Do your friends call you pretentious because you want to catch the Orson Welles film retrospective, rather than the latest Adam Sandler movie? If you're more apt to spend your Friday night reading subtitles from an obscure 1970's documentary about striking coal miners in a small Norwegian town, then these are for you - presenting eight different arthouse movie theatres, guaranteed to quench that thirst for real film. Featured in this download are the following establishments... The Avalon Theatre - showing Fassbinder's Querelle The Bijou Theatre - showing Bergman's The Seventh Seal The Cameo Theatre - showing Fellini's 8 1/2 The Crest Theatre - showing Pasolini's Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom The Kino Theatre - showing Chaplin's The Kid The Metro Theatre - showing Kurosawa's Rashomon The Regent Theatre - showing Hitchcock's Vertigo The Vista Theatre - showing Lynch's Eraserhead Eight different theatres on 1x2 lots, all of which are CS$$ stages 1 and 2, with jobs ranging from 16 to 32. Stats have been compiled and modded in accordance with previous releases, and all are tricked out with nightlights. No downloadable dependencies required - the only necessary file is included in this release (a little custom sound effect added to the queries). And there's a little "readme" file included, with some arthouse movie trivia and other tidbits! So ditch your lame friends and their plebian tastes; who wants to go drinking down at the local sportsbar, when you could catch The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari on the big screen? Enjoy...
