Royal Ports
The Royal Ports grew extensively along the southern shore of the East Imperial Island along the Kings Bay Estuary following on from continued military operations of the British Colonial explorers since 1797. As the Imperial City grew rapidly and the New England Colonies became a fortified settlement, the docks were further developed in order to accommodate the increasing import and export activities to feed the growing city. Container docks that replace the old labour intensive manned dockyards. Containerisation of docks across the globe has contributed to the unemployment in dock worker communities By the time the industrial age was fully underway, the Royal Ports had become a heavy workhouse for industries, such as ship building, machine assembly and artillery and weapons manufacturing. Steel works and various heavy industries developed over the years and the import and export activities based at the docks were highly busy. The Royal Ports and the Baron’s Ports acted as the first landing stages for all inbound goods towards the rest of the New World Islands within the New England Colonies. Food supplies, equipment and technology have been sent to and from these ports from the beginning of the British Colonial era, right up to current times. Industry beside a rail terminal. During the 1980s and 1990s, teenagers and young adults tagged trains docked in these railyards Poor labourers, factory workers, sailors and their families lived in the neighbourhoods of the Royal Ports. Many a cramped tenement and densely occupied blocks can be seen where poverty is rife. The highly profitable businesses operating in the Royal Ports were owned by 2ndDuke John Longstride of Rutland, England. A man far removed from the poverty of the workers and their unemployed neighbours who reside around and work the machinery of his wealth. A street well known as a gang hideout where hired hitmen and muscle for mob activities could be found Part of the dock area in the North Section From around 1880 to 1930 the Imperial City saw waves of Italian immigrants arrive on its shores. Numerous Italian communities were formed, most of which were primarily based around dock areas on the East Imperial Island. Many of these communities can still be seen in Royal Ports today, still maintaining strong Italian heritage, culture and presence to this day. Neighbourhood around Storch Town Neighbourhood in the North Section More in the North Section With the typical urban characteristics of industrial port areas and their surrounding neighbourhoods, crime has traditionally been high, accompanied by the poverty and struggles of day to day life. The inevitable reality of high crime areas, is that criminal gangs form and expand powerful influence over local residents. The Scolacci Crime Family established a solid hold in and around the Bottlekneck Town, running bootlegging operations, thefts rings, extortion and protection rackets among many other crimes from which a profit could be made. Various other crime families have existed in around the Royal Ports and wider Imperial City generally, such as the Gambalino Family, the Baninni Family and the Vialli Mob Family. Over the years many immigrant ethnicities have formed communities here, including German, Irish, Scottish and North American persons. Caribbean, African, black British and African Americans have also been represented in the area, however these communities have traditionally been concentrated in further inland ghetto areas such as those in the Oak Temple, St. David’s and East Grands. Region View
General Replies: But of course! How could I forget the region view? Thanks for the support everyone! _marsh_: Indeed! I can't quite remember the name, but yes, I saw some photos of mountain-top runways, and I thought they looked very cool TekindusT: I think I'll stick to more rural/natural concepts in this region, and leave the cityscapes and urban development to my other CJ, however, i'm open to new ideas here as well! All images are linked to their larger sizes, so feel free to click on them! As promised, here's a region view! You'll notice how downright puny it is. There are three photos; First one is just a plain old region view, second one is with names that correspond to the updates, and the third is the path that Tom took on his adventures. I'll be taking any requests now, and I think i'll be showing a couple more railroad viaduct shots, see how good I get with those. Until next time! - 14

A few improvements are to be made around the country if the bid is succesful includng the Housing and Traning Center for the teams, to be located in the suburbs of Stone City. It should be noted that it is impossible to drive from island to island, but it is very possible to ferry across the Stoneish Channel, the only games to take place on the Southern Island are in Clarkbay, the rest would take place on the North Island and Highway connects the three, One highway rounds the entire island and another crosses from Stone City to Berryford. -The Stone Republic This is also me letting everyone know that what I said a few weeks ago about school, scrap that, try something more like... update maybe every 2 weeks? Much slower schedule now... some challenging courses that will take very much time to deal with so alot less SC4, Stone will stay around but in a much reduced form unfortunatly. - 18

Mini-Update: Current Region Views
Just a small update because I wanted to show you what the region is currently looking like. And this is just something extra, unrelated......I think this region is going to be my next CJ. I rendered it from my daughter's ultrasound image, I think it will look nice with lots of detailed landscaping. Definitely a more challenging and ambitious region than this one.....and also 4x larger: - 7

East Prattsville
Comment Replies: Towerdude: thanks for the comment, it's not so nice. kolnikov inc: I found and downloaded the mods you suggested me, thank you. elnorte: thank you, but as I said, that's not so nice. I wish it was better. Going beyond Hampton Bridge you can reach East Prattsville. It's the newest part of Prattsville and it's still growing. The small industrial park of Prattsville it's on this side of the river, and East Prattsville it's also the site of the Pitt County Power Plant, of the County Jail and of the County Dump. This district isn't wealthy as the one on the west side: it's inhabitated mostly by people who comes from the medium classes and it's pratically a dormitory town for the near city of Newton, where most of the people go to work. If you don't want to drive over the Hampton Bridge, you can always take the train. Therailway has been important for the economy of East Prattsville. Especially the freight station (the one on the right) is still heavily used by the farmers of the zone around East Prattsville. During the 1950s the railway has also been used for the transport of the County Jail inmates. Going east, you'll see the Pitt County Power Plant. Built during the 1960s, its costruction required five years. It is an important resource for the town, as the near neighbourhoods have been built for the workers of the power plant. It has owned by the County for almost twenty years, until 1987 when the power plant was sold to a private company, the Pitt Power Company (which, actually, owns only this plant). Due to the low requests of power from Prattsville, most of the power produced here is sold to the near city of Newton. The city keeps growing, as you can see from this aerial shot. This neighbourhood, called River Beach, it's the very newest part of East Prattsville. The north zone has been established only in 2008 and even if a large part of the houses is already built, some costruction aren't complete yet. River Beach at dawn. The south part of the neighbourhood has been a dangerous place for several years during the 80s, when this hood was almost abandoned by the law enforcement and the crime rates were high. Only during the early 90s, with the election of a new sheriff, it has been rehabilitated after several raids of the Pitt County Sheriff Dept. Now River Beach is a quiet and safe place, inhabitated by young families with childrens. Anyway, if you prefer to see what is gonna happen to you if you want to break the law, visit the Pitt County Jail. It was built in 1923, but it isn't the original one anymore: it has been restored many times, even in 2008. It has accomodated various criminals, famous or not. Al Capone slept here for three days in 1926, and from 2007 it's the home of Barney Malford, the robber who terrorized the county during 2006 robbing 27 small stores in 13 days. From East Pittsville it's all. See you next time. - 3

Episode 1.3- Dog Ridge
Replies
Episode 1.3-Dog Ridge
The family mentioned earlier has now moved into Greenridge. But instead of moving into the city, they decided to open a small farm up on top of a low lying ridge northwest of the town. They built a dirt path up to the ridge.
Next, Adon, and the kids helped bring wood into the area where they were to build their farm and small shelter. Ryess built a small campfire and prepared dinner over it. For the entire time it took to build their house, the family had to rough it and live in tents.
After a short time, Adon began construction of the shelter. The kids helped out with the small jobs. After a short time of about a week, it was completed.
The family decided to grow corn on their small farm. For other foods they would drive to the small market back in town. They loaded all their stuff off the ship, and used a heavy truck that was avalible for rental to carry it to their new shelter. Inside they found it very cozy. After about a day, it was pretty much a new home.
One thing that they enjoyed the most is that they could bring their dogs Buddy and Holly, which were very dear to them. So they named the ridge that their house sat upon, Dog Ridge.
Please post your comments, suggestions, and questions.

Design Advice - Mountain Roadway
Good Morning Folks, today I bring you a design issue i've always had. I've been a fan of mountain top villages, which are usually in some way associated with a road transfer from the plains below. I've tried long, sweeping switch backs, (picture 2) wrapping the road up the slopes parrallel to each other to gain altitude, but those are expensive, space consuming and unsightly to build. The other choice is a direct road such as I have below, which just feels treacherous and unsafe to look at. Anyone with some mountain experience have any ideas to run roads down mountains? Design 2 - Switchbacks.

Cotham
Cotham is a relatively wealthy suburb neighbouring the most high-class in the city - Clifton. House prices here are rocketing with listed features, large indoor and outdoor space, education and health levels, and location all on the neighbourhood's side. The area really flourished during the very late 1700s and early 1800s and miraculously survived the wars completely. The neighbourhood borders the Downs parklands to the south and west, Clifton to the sort of southeast and the Latin Quarter to the east. Sunday 29th August: Max (24C) ; Min (13C) - 13

The Founding of Mars
Dear Journal: My Name is James Johnson, and the year is 1860. I,My Family and 3 neighbors are on a mission to get away from the crazyness of New York City, with how crazy the city is now, imagine what it will be like when they start expanding even more, you can barely survive in that town. Anyway, I have been scouting out the western USA to see if there is a reasonable plot of Land to start a new home, or even a new Town on. I have decided to write at night, So Tomorrow shall be my next entry should nothing happen to me. Dear Journal: We have Found where we shall Settle. The Land is fertile, and there is a nice Lake nearby with a stream that supplies us with fresh water, best of all, it is along the trail, it is hard to believe that no one has settled here, I guess they just want to get to Saint Louis, and not get away from the crazyness of a big city. I think we shall call our new establishment Mars..It just has a nice ring. Here you see The first house and business in Mars,
