Presenting, Manhattan's famous Flatiron building, custom-modelled and lotted to fit adjacent to FA2 fractionally angled roads. This is an old model I have had laying around for a long time ---- hope you can all get some use out of it! The Flatiron Building, officially named the Fuller Building, is an iconic New York City landmark located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue, Broadway, and 23rd Street. Designed by architect Daniel Burnham and completed in 1902, it was one of the first skyscrapers to utilize a steel frame, allowing it to rise to an impressive height of 285 feet on a narrow triangular plot. Its distinctive wedge-like shape, resembling an old-fashioned clothes iron, quickly earned it the nickname "Flatiron Building." Built in the Beaux-Arts style, the facade features ornate limestone and terra-cotta detailing, including classical motifs like pilasters, scrollwork, and cornices, which enhance its visual elegance. The building's unique form made it a favorite subject of artists and photographers, such as Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Steichen, and it remains one of the most photographed structures in the world. The shape also creates notable wind currents, giving rise to early urban myths about men gathering to glimpse skirts blowing upward. A symbol of early 20th-century innovation, the Flatiron Building has become a cultural and architectural icon, embodying the creative energy and ingenuity of New York City. There are no required dependencies. Landmark lot, 1x2 - not sure about stats as I made this a long time ago. Eyecandy only. The building is missing ground-level retail and nightlighting - so it is technically unfinished, but useful still, no doubt. Enjoy! You can grab similar buildings here but not required -

These are fractionally rotated versions of some of the houses I've released in the past. You can use them to fill in visual gaps when using FAR networks. Included are 8 lots, using custom props and families, allowing 24 possible combinations. The lots use prop families when plopped to prevent repetition. FA3 Garfield Ave - left and right rotations FA3 78th St. Bungalows - left and right FA3 Water St Bungalows - left and right FA2 Water St Bungalows - left and right There are no required dependencies --- but there are alternative rotations available below. Ortho counterparts for the Water St. Bungalows are offered here, but are NOT a required dependency. Also available are the ortho South Amboy houses, but you don't need them for the FA pack either. There are no required dependencies. These lots are intended to be used in moderately dense areas. Their models originate from Hudson, Passaic, Monmouth and Ocean Counties in NJ. Landmark lots, 3x1 and 2x1 - not sure about stats as I made them a long time ago. Eyecandy only. Enjoy!- 4 Reviews

Here's a fun set for everyone ---- it's the old familiar Maxis R$$ 2 story houses from the Chicago 1890 tileset. I have lotted them so that you can place them adjacent to FA3 roadways. These are great for filling in areas with houses that already may exist nearby. They are neutral landmarks that cost noting to operate. The original nightlighting still works the same. There are 6 lots for visual variety, all 3x1 --- 3 are left-facing, 3 are right-facing Only dependency is Maxis bldgs as props for the houses. I've always been quite fond of these. Have fun! -

DOWNLOAD IN COMMENTS SECTION BELOW! Long overdue, these are the Maxis-made residential buildings which have had the potential to break the grid in easy ways. This download includes easily-placed relots of the following vanilla SC4 residentials, all lotted as eyecandy LMs: Buechner Apartments - 2x3 - fits around 2x2 curve Martin Apartments - 2x3 - fits around 2x2 curve Ngo Manor - 1x2 - fits around 1x1 curve or right-turn slip lane Sheehy Condos - 2x2 - fits around right-turn slip lane or 2x2 roundabout - overhangs lot slightly in other direction I will take a second look at others like Vernon manor, Bartlett, etc and make more determinations. Enjoy! only 1 dependency - requires Maxis buildings as props file- 2 Reviews

Overhang issue when it grows 5*5 tiles says 4*5 tiles growable. Only the 5 by 5 tile version overhangs the street. Any fixes for this old lot.

Need tutorials on creating overhanging textures
nathkel posted a topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I'm sure there are some nifty sets of instructions on creating lots with overhanging textures. I can't seem to find any here or at sc4devotion. Or i'm using the wrong search terms. Please provide links. I'm especially interested in overhanging diagonal extensions much like MGB's many varieties.- 2 Replies

The long awaited parkings with overhang are finally arrived! Thanks to the RKT0 model technology, creating those handy structures is now within reach of unskilled batters like me Those parkings will tremendously help you dealing with those nasty diagonals in your quest of grid busting. UPDATE 1.01 The lots were initially supposed to generate a 5 $ monthly income, not a expense. This has been adressed. Also new textures have been added for further customisation. What's in the package? - 4 lots with 2 distinct shapes and their mirrored counterparts - 6 different textures design, to blend seamlessly with your favourite sidewalk mod (choose one, delete the other) - 4 offset car models in HD, an original creation from Girafe. Lots Stats TRIANGLE Plop/doze: 0/0 Electricity/Water: 0/0 Pollution air/water/garbage: 0/0/1 Jobs provided: 2 $ Capacity: 2000 Monthly income: 5 $ COMBO Plop/doze: 0/0 Electricity/Water: 0/0 Pollution air/water/garbage: 0/0/1 Jobs provided: 2 $ Capacity: 1500 Monthly income: 5 $ WARNING those lots have zero tolerance to slopes. Use on perfectly flat ground only. Dependencies BSC - VIP girafe carpack vol. 1 & 2 (v1.0) Crazy credits - thanks to infamousjbe for the original idea - thanks to Girafe for kindly allowing me to use his beautiful models in this pack - special thanks goes to cogeo for sharing his RKT0 technology knowledge and invaluable help in debugging. Hello wonderful people! I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to remove the over hagning areas of this particular building! https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2785 I adore it in all ways except for that bit, due to the fact my cities are mainly on a grid design! Any help would be splendid! Cheers!

I know, it took about as much work to BAT as the typical spam uploads on the STEX, but i made this with good intent. basically what this is, is a simple 1x1 model, with the texture of the OWR -1 . One way road from the Network Addon Mod. If you have no use for it, leave it be, but if you like to experiment with various ways to diversify your cities this might be for you. How to use: Basically you open any Lot, in Lot Editor. if the lot is 1x1 it will not appear in the list, so remember to change the lot size to something over 1x1 and then switch it back to your desired lot size. Place the model so that it completely overhangs the lot, making it look like an extra complete tile. Once you have done this, find any building, and match it up to which ever point you like, in my case, roughly a 1cm. Remember to also place down the sidewalk piece. Otherwise you might get grass instead of sidewalk, and in an urban environment that will stick out like a sore thumb! One you have done this, delete the OWR-1 Helper Model, and save, you're done. name of the files in the Lot editor list: OWR1-Buildingplacementhelper OWR1-Buildingplacement-sidewalk dependencies: Since this is intended for OWR-1 you need this: Network Addon Mod May 2010 https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/details.cfm?id=21355 Network Widening mod: https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/details.cfm?id=23827- 12 Comments

I made one of these parks over a year ago, never uploaded it here. Now I'm finally releasing a small set of these. These are 5 slightly different parks, all 1x1 size (+ overhanging parts). Plop cost $100, maintain cost $8. To install: just unzip and place the folder with files in your Plugins directory. No dependencies. ** A minor problem was reported by member HandsOff: "If you plop then plop them on already zoned but unoccupied lots, the zoning does not disappear. It is only visible when you lay subways." So plop these parks only on un-zoned land .
