Here is my first upload of a long series that will include region made from sattlite images of all of the tropical cyclones of the 2005 hurricane season (except Hurricane Katrina). All those images are from Wikipedia. I say that it's going to be a long series because of how active the 2005 hurricane season was. The uploads are going to be in the same order as that in which the cyclones formed. This upload is made from the sattelite image of Tropical Storm Arlene (http://upload.wikime..._2005_1645Z.jpg).- 6 Comments

Katrina City has been hit by a tornado, but recovery operations are underway. The rubble is being cleared and houses are being rebuilt. The city is also expanding here, here, and here. Here's another look at the beach, with middle-class houses that have developed near it. Current stats of the city: And a view of it: Time covered: March 21, 1963 to July 14, 1964

Here is my first map created with SC4 Terraformer that I'm uploading to the STEX. The region name is in a fictional Romance language translates to "Sea Valley." It features a river running through some mountains into a sea. It is 8x8 and is made up of 2 large cities and 8 medium cities. I hope you enjoy it! Edit: This is the largest file I've uploaded to the STEX so far. -

Here is another region. It looks discolored because I had to save it as a 8-bit bmp. However, it looks okay. Made by me. Size: 16 by 16 km Config not included. Other notes: The water is very shallow. Future maps will be created using SC4 Terraformer This is the first file uploaded be me in almost a year! -
March 20, 1963 A severe thunderstorm is headed for Katrina City. At first, it isn't that menacing. However, when approaching the city, it suddenly intensifies, prompting a severe thunderstorm warning for the city. Heavy rain and golf-ball-size hail fall onto the city. A tornado watch is issued for the city as waterspouts are seen off of the coast. However, when a funnel cloud is seen moving onshore, that watch is quickly upgraded to a warning. Frantic residents seek shelter wherever they can. Then, at 3:20 P.M., the tornado hits. It touches down right on the edge of a residential area, destroying the church and some homes. It then tears into a commercial area, destroying shops and offices. The tornado crosses the highway, then destroys factories before dissipating. EDIT: Sorry for the news ticker in that picture. The extent of the damage: Another note: School children and teachers emerging from the megaschool's underground shelter found destroyed buildings outside of their intact building. That's it for this entry. Expect more soon.

Huh? When is the next update? I guess it must take a long time to create the next entry. -
Finally, here's the next entry. Note: Apperently, I can no longer use .png images in CJs. So, I will attempt to use .jpg images. Edit: It turns out that the above starement was wrong. Katrina City continues to grow. Here is an area zone for a farm, homes, and commerce. Also, the city has started construction on its first highway. Later, residents start building on the zoned area. Here is a picture of the highway after more construction. Six days later, a farmer buys the farm patch and starts growing crops on it. Several months later, the city has further expanded. Also, the highway has been extended further. The ferry part has been clogged with new arrivals, so to relieve that situation, the mayor decides to build another ferry port. Some of the boats are then rerouted to that port. Later, a statue is being sculpted in honor of the mayor. When he is asked where they should put it, he decides that it should go next to the high school. On July 7, 1959, when the statue is finished, a ceremony takes place at the selected site. The citizens have been wanting a public beach, so the mayor decides to reserve an area for one on May 20, 1960. Here's another look at the city. It has exploded in population! Also, due to lack of demand for farms, the Mayor has decided to replace them with residential and industrial zones. On November 30, 1960, a crowd of citizens applause in a ceremony held because the island's first church is being built. Meanwhile, the mayor decides to look at why most of the citizens are screaming for water, and is shocked at what he finds. So, construction crews begin extending the water system. When they finish, the water system has gone from this... ...to this. Later, commerce is zoned along the highway and the highway's first interchange and the city's first airport (under construction) are built. And to finish this entry, one more picture of the town, with the airport open for business: Thats it, and oh, a severe thunderstorm is headed for Katrina City. You'll just have to find out what happens in the next entry. Time covered: November 25, 1958 to March 18, 1963.

More land is zoned for further growth. Also, the first hospital and school have been built. The farm land on the west is still vacant because there isn't that much need to feed the residents. New commerce later developed. New arrivals at the ferry port are here to stay, so the new residential zone starts filling up with houses. The commercial zones then started filling up. The founder of the town got tired of living a middle-class home so a new, bigger, and fancier home began to be constructed. A couple squeezed their home into that last small lot. After the completion of the new founder's house, the founder was elected mayor of the town. Here is a view of the whole town. Note additional commerce. Here are some of the current stats for the town. Time covered: July 26, 1958-November 11, 1958 I will start really catching up to the present day, so don't expect another update untill around christmas.

One day in the year 1958, a group of settlers came to a newly-discovered island. They first built a ferry port where they landed. They then built a road leading away from it. After that, the town setup began. A power line was then built to power the ferry port. After that, the first farm and shop were built. Soon, irrigation sprinklers were added. But there was still no place to live, but that problem was soon remedied. Extra Pics: The Founder's House: A few houses: The store during the day: And during the night: The barn with a flatbed truck, a pickup truck, and an apple tree: That's it. I hope you enjoy it. Time covered: March 18, 1958-June 17, 1958
