  1. WINDEMERE ANNOUNCEMENT As you may have noticed, since the launch of Holt District about a year ago, Windemere has been quiet. When I started Holt District I had every intention of eventually brining Windemere back to its former glory as an often-updated CJ alongside Holt District. But life has turned busier recently with a string of things going on that have taken their fair share of time. School keeps me busy. Work does too. And there are some other things which just add to the grind of RL. Windemere hasn't been the same since its change from Windemere & Taschereau to Feaumont. I guess you could call that a failed experiment. The current structure of Windemere is also facing its challenges that it did in its first 2 incarnations. The regions are disjunct and random. Since progress on the region that is showcased for Windemere isn't really going anywhere, I have decided this: it is time to officially end Windemere. I'm sure this won't come as a surprise to many of you. Afterall, this hasn't been update since May and has been update at 2-month intervals for a while now. Out of the ashes of Windemere rose a new project, Holt District. It has been more successful than I ever imagined. It has turned into a great region and great fun, and I have so many ideas for it. I'm sure you're also wondering why now. If Windemere has continued to this point with infrequent updates up to now alongside Holt District, why is it ending now. Well, like I said. And this is you clue. Out of the ashes of Windemere arose a great project. This project caused the hiatus and ultimate downfall of Windemere. And pulling the plug now might just mean something. I'm sure you can see where I'm heading with this. There IS a reason now is the time to the pull the plug. And you'll know soon enough why. Before I sign-off Windemere, I want to thank everyone who supported this CJ through its various format changes, lapses in activity, etc. in the almost 2 years (WOW!) since I launched it. This was my first ever CJ so it will always be sort of special. So there may be, even though Windemere is now officially over, a peep from Windemere occasionally. Just don't stay up night waiting for something. That's just a small possibility. I want to thank everyone who helped Windemere reach 661 comments and over 67000 views. Windemere was an absolute blast, and is really what launched my activity here in Simtropolis and the SimCity community as a whole. Without it, Holt District wouldn't have happened, nor would my own website. So thank you to all of you who made Windemere awesome! And I'll see you in Holt District. And possibly something new.
  2. This is a small sneal-peak, the pictures will be replaced maybe or changed when its time... Once its all set ill post more and drop in a feature. Just wanted to give everyone whos interested a small preview on what im working right now This tile is straight next to Kiatkami, so it was close to take that idea and go a bit further, it will be a smaler town, less industrie, bigger castle area more nature and i wanted to do some navy stuff this time since i never used this stuff before and there are some really cool things in the pack! So, my progress on this tile is a bit slow, i got a new job and im quite exhausted in the evening and i only can spend a few hours per week on building,.. still i have some new pics for everyone who is interested in this preview,... i reworked the city seaside and took a seperate location for the navy supply, i like this solution better because the navy stuff has a quite clean setting... i like it more chaotic close to the city,.. the castle area is about twice as big as shown here, i keep the rest till release i like the reworked stuff better, more chaotic! the new navy supply base... the piers, patrolboats, uboats and the helicopter carrier are from sc4devotion, the destroyers are from hide&seek... hope i could quicken your appetite see you soon, your Lance

Hey guys. I was going to update, but I am having problems with imageshack. Even though my images are clearly jpg, they keep transferring to .png. Until I can fix it, this will be on hiatus. If you have anything that could help, please do tell. Thanks.

Around the World 2 - Life in the Lowlands Today we travel to the heart back in time to the prosperous era of the Princes of Brüllen. The Central lowlands was full of small Kingdoms and Principalities. This is near the fortress city of Aarburgen. The year is 1812. Click for full size. The heir to the Aarburgen throne rushes toward his father's country retreat. The Grand Duke is terminally ill and wishes to bestow his dying wishes to his son. The heir follows the riverside track. He recalls the first time his father brought him to the country retreat. The lush, green, dense forest seemed magical at the time, now he can only think about his dying father. As he nears the solitary stone castle. He wonders what he can do in tribute of the revolutionary leader. Grand-Duke Leon III built a massive monument to his father, next update we will travel there. For more check out the Brüllen Federation on USNW. Replies westy177, Schulmanator, Agunter999, Hazani Pratama, ggamgus, SimRico, Fox, vivapanda, testuser1234, dani31, Cefien, Dildevald, usla2: A big thanks to all of you for commenting, it means a lot! Thanks Robeneus: I'm glad it reminds you of Germany, that means I've done a good job! ROFyoshi: Thanks for the help, the next update from the city is a bit less griddy. I'll rename the road accordingly. Thanks for stopping by. Benedict: Thanks and here it is!
  5. Mayorjacks: Unfortunately it was not chosen, thanks for voting though. 89James89: Thanks James, although B was not chosen 976: Thanks 111222333444: Good choice! Luiz P. Romanini: A is definitely the one KonstantinII: Thanks! Shortsonfire: Actually I made it Shorton since it sounded better >_> ROFLyoshi: Nahh, you're imagining stuff :3 Benedict: It is indeed the best one considering mostly everyone voted A. Actually I thought of that for later on, glad you thought that too! FlyHigh: No it won't be although the congestion is partly removed cause some of the train lines no longer need to turn back (reverse) or enter the depot.
  6. Welcome to the Jacques D'Arvor / L'Acre International Airport! This magnificent and large airport serves the city of L'Acre, the largest metropolitan area in the Republic. With an abundance or airlines serving destinations all over Europe and all six inhabited continents, there is virtually no destination that cannot be reached through this airport. As such, it is the main international gateway into the Republic. The airport saw 44,673,116 passengers through its terminals in the FY2012, making it the 22nd busiest airport in terms of passenger volume in the world, in line with San Francisco International Airport (23rd) and the Shanghai Pudong International Airport (21st). In terms of Cargo Handling, the airport moved 2,063,485 tons of cargo in the FY2012, putting it just behind Frankfurt Airport and ahead of Tokyo Narita International Airport for the 10th spot in the world - making the airport the southern gateway in Europe for air cargo exports/imports. In terms of total aircraft movements, the airport saw 482,328 movements, putting it ahead of London Heathrow International Airport and behind Frankfurt Airport for the 12th spot in the world. The airport is located in the state of Astapôr, just 35km south of the city of L'Acre, on the coast. Here is a map of the terminal: The terminal is serviced by a high speed train and rapid bus transit, as well as public access for cars/taxis with ample parking provided. There are three terminals, and 8 concourses. Terminal 1, 3 - Domestic/European Terminal 2 - International (non-European) Concourse(s) A, G - Domestic (destinations in the Republic) Concourse(s) B, E, F (European Continental destinations) Concourse(s) H- Regional Concourse(s) C, D - International (non-European/republic) The airport is serviced by 6 runways, 3 E/W orientation, 3 N/S orientation in a fan-spread design around the airport which can allow for up to 3 simultaneous departures and up to 2 simultaneous arrivals or aircraft without worry of turbulence due to the spread of the planes. Being on the coast allows for one of the runways, 36 R to extend in to the Mediterranean Sea. 7. REPLIES Luiz P. Romanini - Thanks for the encouragement I appreciate it 89James89 - Haha nothing against farmland I see, just trying to make a realistic approach to the region, from rural to urban. Im eager to get the map built up myself, thanks for the comment! Forthwall - Thanks I think I remembered this time haha! Alright I am back with my region, it's been awhile since I last posted mainly because of work and becoming busy. The region has grown quite a ways and still in the process. From the looks of it Jasper and Tifton are going to be small residential communities in the outer region since most of the growth has taken place down the river. Unless New Port continues to boom in population its possible could be space for industrial, but only time can tell. The region as of now Compared to last entry Transportation Map that has expanded since last entry New growth has taken place along the river. Mainly residential "slums" since industrial is saturated over the region. Many new places to work so I guess that's what happens! Tad bit of more country, I have been experimenting with rural fences. Here is the small bedroom community of Marion, population 388. Fences! This leads us to the city of New Port, population 37,888 . Pictures below show some industrial growth that has occurred which allowed for the population growth on the other side of the river. Residential slums that have sprung up, tenements, apartments, brick walk up oh my! :/ The city of Monroe population 36,919 . Picture below shows the interstate crossing the river which is the end of the avenue that runs parallel to the river into the slums. Notice the tunnel, it travels through the hills out on the other side which will be a main fair thru for sims to travel once the other side is constructed. More of the industrial boom Slums, slums and more slums!! Well that's about it all, thanks for looking once again I will try to get more done quick this time, lol. Feel free to make any suggestions or tips, as this is only my second entry in the CJ. I guess ill ride with this residential slum showcase and see where it takes me. As I was doing this entry I thought of how cool it would be to have a night shot of a region available in region view! But anyways later everyone!

Hi, this is my first Cit Journal, so I don't think I'm going to work with a well worked story, but, please, enjoy. I'm going to make a Natural Growth town, so i'll build based on demand. Mods used: -CPT_TerrainMod_Olympic -ElshaWater1beta -NAM (I might add SPAM for agriculture soon) Map: Bezigue, I don't remember who made it right now, I'll search later. (Click image for zoom) _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Welcome to Jihran, a small village in the region of Sontha. The village started as a small fishermans community, but soon that was going to change. Some of the villagers started farming the land, and that soon brought new people searching for a new live. The village started to grow, in two years more houses appeared, and the population started to grow... ... and more farms appeared. But something more happened here. Maxwell, a business man, built his house in the village, he stated that that place was going to improve a lot because he wanted to be in charge. Some people didn't liked that, thinking it was going tu ruin their pacific life, but some others accepted him as a member. Since that moment, Jihran started to be Town in development. Because of the complainment of some people that didn't wanted Maxwell to be there, he started to work. Some people were compliAning about the possibility of a fire, Maxwell ordered to build quickly a fire station, and he made sure that it had as many members as possible. By now, Jihran is growing well, there were still some complainment because some people still didn't trusted Maxwell, But something was for sure, the town was going to ger bigger. A photo of Jihran: _____________________________________________________________________ Please, tell me any mistake and comment, thanks and enjoy

  9. Welcome to Taishikan, Ineku of Toyokin. A sprawling, dense, commercial and government district, Taishikan has many different architectural styles and spaces. Plazas here, embassies there, mid-rises just across the corner, oh so many things to do here. Taishikan is home to the headquarters for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Takyoto. The headquarters can be well defined by its grand groundscraper-like structure with brown and black accents along its exterior. Also in Taishikan is Embassy Lane, home to many embassies that represent nations from around the world. Japan, the United States, China, England, and many more nations have embassies down this beautiful thoroughfare lined with trees and intricate buildings. Forthwall: 111222333444: Too slow, yes... very sad event. Huston: Thank you, I tried to do my best. Hiigarar: Very sad ;( airman15: Certainly the aviation industry will improve. qwertyuiopasdfghjkl123: Now it's 3, but even 1 is too much. A human life is priceless. The Steve: Oh no.... bremner19: Thanks Bipin: Thank you, Bipin. ISB: I certainly do not think we should call any airline rubbish no matter how many incidents occur.

  11. Hello everybody! Sadly this will have to be the last episode of anything simcity that I will do... at least until the game is relatively problem free. After producing nearly 130 episodes of Simcity, spending almost 200 hours playing and spending double that time preparing episodes I have decided I've had enough. I do hope to come back one day once modders are allowed to have their way with the game but until then I will be "putting it on the shelf". I do hope you check out a Simcity challenge I completed a few days ago as well as my newly started Simcity 4 series! I do not know if I am going to be making a CJ of that or not but either way the episodes will be on my youtube channel. Thank you to everybody who has watched my series and all of the views and subscriptions to my channel are greatly appreciated. You are all awesome and I hope you have a good day. Links will be under the video. My Channel

Hello. I will share my airports. I have done this airports with plugins downloaded from the STEX. I did such different works when I get tired of airports in the game... Skyscrapers and shops in the middle of this airport: Cologne Airport Thanks for reading! src_53
  13. Replies: Sunr: Thanks, though this is a vanilla CJ so I don't use mods in it I'm afraid. Magneto: Thanks, hope you continue to pop in and enjoy the CJ. Entry 36: Rubic Incident: Nearing A Verdict Well its with great relief that I can say that Earth has accepted us rudely barging into existence like this and the quarantine is soon to be removed. Apparently they're just finishing off final issues regarding our rights as a independent country and the question of whether we own any land as a nation, but other than that, its all good. In light of this, an emphasis has returned to continuing the Tantico Harbour Redevelopment Program. As such this is what this entry focuses on. What is probably the largest reclamation so far in the redevelopment this area has given the cramped harbour some more breathing space and brought more larger but cleaner factories into the harbour. As with stage two I'm showing a four stage time lapse of the redevelopment starting with showing the area to be redeveloped. Moving the old grungy businesses out we began filling in the water around the old shoreline, ending up with this, much larger area to work with. Next up was the roads and parks. Funded by the Tensea Power Distribution company the small Tensea Green, can be seen here just before construction started on the surrounding factories. Finally after a while the area was complete, larger cleaner factories having replaced the old dirty ones and empty spaces filled in with more parks in the hope of reducing the air and water pollution, the old industry created. Finally for this update, here's a look at the redevelopment of the harbour so far, with the first three stages complete. That's all for now though. Hopefully next time I'll be able to bring the update from a free and independent island nation, preparing its first steps into a new world. Till then Jamie Felding

San Rochelle I hope you all didn't miss me too much! Welcome to the sleepy city of San Rochelle, dubbed "Little Naptown", because Indianapolis has already claimed the name Naptown. Now, why this city is in transition is because, well, the time period we're currently working in is around 1982 and the city really isn't doing too well, especially the central business district where crime is the worst. Any resident of San Rochelle knows not to walk the streets at night. Drugs and gangs flow through the city as though San Rochelle is the open door to America. Some rumors have popped in saying the Russian Mafia has entered the city, but those are merely rumors as of the moment. ANYHOW, San Rochelle is not all a bad place, there are many great places to visit while in San Rochelle! I would highly recommend visiting places such as the Fernando Zoo which is located just southeast of the city's center. You can see the Lions and Tigers, Bears and raccoon, piranha and catfish! The Fernando Zoo is definitely a sight to see! If you are into something a bit more elegant you can always visit the Union Station Cafe! The Union Station was built in 1901 and was the largest station in the northwest up until Los Angeles built its Union Station in 1939. Photo of Union Station, Nashville, Tennessee San Rochelle A truly magnificent city no matter what troubles it is facing. San Rochelle fed off of the success of many cities back in its early days such as New Sorgun and Portland creating quite a bond to the railroads. Amtrack once rolled through San Rochelle until ridership dissipated and the rail lines dried up. Interstate 5 runs through the city. The interstate sparked the city's newest economic boom. Before the new interstate passed through the city in 1960 the city was around 450,000 people and now boasts 736,000 people. Nobody could have expected a boom such as that! However, the city has been steadily losing its' population, probably because of its' issues. Only a couple of thousand people have left since 1980 though. As any Large city would, the skyline of the city is marked up with about nine towers with only three being built before 1960. The rest of the towers have been since the interstate pushed through the city. The newest towers are as follows. 1. Bank of America Tower 2. Chase Tower 3. Suntrust 4. Wells Fargo 5. Bellsouth Tower San Rochelle Thank you for reading!

  16. Welcome back to Northworth County, its been a while, but its back Welcome to the town of Dodge, population of 1,134. The city isn't much besides a town center. Going north we some campers near farms. Some crops being harvested. A bunch of these farms are family owned and have houses on property. Some aren't such as this. A bit north is the Bedford Station, which is an extension station for trips to Arbonville. The town' of Bedford is even smaller than Dodge, with a population of 208. The town does have a paper mill. Amtrak passes through this area frequently, but it only stops at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM so if you miss the train, you only have one more chance to make it. Interesting farm. A full view of the town of Bedford. More shots. Hope you had a great time visiting !

KOU: A Farming Region in Natsuku With the large growing town of Yasaka expanding along the riverbank of the Natsuku great river valuable farming space is lost. As food produce is currently the Natsuku regions no.1 export, smaller surrounding settlements have began to spring up. Sims flock to these outer regions to escape the growing noise of Yasaka and make a living selling food whilst enjoying a slower way of life. Demand is high in the export markets, but there is also growing demand to feed the sims of Yasaka as the town grows. Kou is situated west of Yasaka off the Royal Natsuku Highway 03, it is a small farming settlement grown from the need to increase food production in the region. Life is harder in Kou and many of the poorer sims have moved from Yasaka to this area as increasing land value has forced many farming sims from central Yasaka. Kou 07-07-2013 Working on the Farms Kou still lacks any real amenities or services, the sims here have to travel to Yasaka for any education or healthcare. Fire cover is basic and run by local volunteers, Koi also has one small temple in the area for the sims to enjoy. Some sims here are able to work in small local shops. Most of the housing in Kou is basic and most homes lack any water! Some lucky richer sims are in the tiny town but there presence is small in number. Shacks Higher Wealth Temple in Kou Town Centre

Good Morning, This is the square And that is all you are getting today, next time should have more substance to it
