Update 2: Exploring Fordmouth, Part One
Update 2: Exploring Fordmouth, Part One It's a quarter past five at the Jeweled Crown, and we're getting ready to start exploring the Fordmouth Old Town. As the tropical sun begins to rise over the Sushili Sea in the east, we make our way down to the old stone quays built by the Posilliponians in the late eighteenth century. Armed with 42 cannon, it was designed to be able to resist assault by even the most advanced capital ships of the day. Restored to its former appearance in the late 1980s and early 1990s, it is now one of the most well-known locations in the city, appearing in numerous stamps, postcards, works of art, and annoying chain emails. The old harbormaster's house used to overlook a thriving market square, but with the decline of local agriculture in the 1970s, and the collapse of the salmon industry (triggering protests by the Fordmouth chapter of the Feline Friends Association) after the Tokhate Dam was completed in 1985, the market is now much, much smaller. Fort Isabella: the heart of the city. Built in the early seventeenth century, and named after an early Queen of Grand, this stone enceinte and the palace at its heart have gone through many different appearances and owners since their construction. At different times, it has played host to Grandian Kings, Posilliponian governors, Belluterran looters, and Trentannian generals - from 1902 to 1949, it was even the site of a power plant(!), with the lower level being used as a stable, and later as a parking garage. The King Francis Bell Tower was the tallest building in the country for centuries, and even today can still be seen for kilometers around, forming a distinct part of the Fordmouth skyline. It was from here that the Grandian national flag was first flown again in 1951, near the end of the Great Adonian War, after the country was liberated from Trentannian occupiers by Posilliponian forces. As we exit the Old Town proper through the West Gate, how about we go and grab a quick bite to eat at the Waffle House conveniently situated just outside the walls? Outside the walled city, many historic buildings are privately owned, and thus are not afforded the same level of protection as those in the central Old Town. Unfortunately, this means that modern development is beginning to eat away at many of the old buildings. Fancy a beer? Why not join Viscount-Mayor Willam Pike at the local pub, the Dog and Duck. Or, if you have more refined tastes, the pub also serves Monte Xanic wine, imported all the way from Ruteria. Guaranteed to be a unique experience, no matter your choice! Aren't interested in eating at Waffle House? Why not try this quaint restaurant at the top of the tower? Serving ethnic Khwint cuisine, this delightful little place has foods like: Phuutak malthai Teu pune Kuntihaleet And what local-style meal would be complete without some blend of the national alcoholic drink, Opeimien (date wine): One of the most famous restaurants in the city, it is rumored that even King-Emperor Charles himself used to eat here while studying at the University of Fordmouth nearby. Although there is nothing to substantiate these rumors, the owners vehemently insist that they're true - bolstered by the fact that Charles' brother, the Prince Imperial, has been seen visiting every so often. The oldest remaining house of worship in Grand and Belluterra, St. George's is a popular spot for weddings, with an average of 70 a month. The early seventeenth-century bell tower is due for a restoration soon... This intersection has more than a few houses dating from the Trentannian era, as well as a modern apartment designed to try and fit in with the rest of the architecture just outside the walls. Downtown Verizon store added
I built the Downtown Verizon Store located in Pittsburgh ,PA. i also included the other building next to it which has a mc donalds inside it. both of these buildings are meant to represent the Park Building in downtown Pittsburgh at the corner of Smithfield and 5th ave. the picture i included is the park building looking towards the east. smithfield runs north and south so i had to rotate the map so you can see the signs for the stores in the park building. i bulldozed the large tower across the street so you can see the stores better. - 9

Avno, a reinvented city
As I was too busy studying to release this update on the weekend, I can now seeing as I have had most of today and tomorrow off! Enjoy! (warning, pictures are from pre-updated city, maxis buildings will most likely show) [start/cj] We arrived in Avno, it was such a calming city, small but full of life. As much as I can understand, the city was once the site of a large port, the largest before Crestview's, although now it has transformed into a vibrant city centre. The docks were turned into extensive parks, stretching right across the coastline. This may be one of the only cities in the whole of Mirani without a CBD beachfront? Nevertheless, my friends and I wondered through the waterfront, visiting shops and cafes across the road, and setting down for a short brunch. We continued to walk the waterfront for an hour, reaching the town hall, which was separated into 3 different buildings, above ground at least. Now, we had to check into our hotel, we caught one of the cities bright green taxis and headed back to the centre of town, driving past the cities' suburbs which made me think of suburban Melbourne minus a few tropical roofs here and there otherwise the architecture were quite similar! We got to out hotel, unpacked what we needed and collapsed onto our beds, each having it's own carefully placed chocolate for us to enjoy. We were to stay the night and then head to the next city, Kingstown. BONUS REGION SHOT! Around Crestview's CBD and the inner city Parliament house is by the 2nd Marina heading north, with a quite large park. I still need to update the other parts of the city that haven't been updated yet, as you can see the style of hosing varies greatly in between the newer/updated tiles with the older versions, hopefully will update those parts soon! A Tour of Rusted Bridge part II
From a city park about a block away from the red rusted bridge. Across the street from R.B.H.S. looking past city hall towards downtown. The first local bus station, right off of ICA 45 in what was Krackle Trails before it merged with Plateau Point. Omega Casino. Across the Pepper River, a nice view of the Bollen Center and the water front. The high wealth area. A few attempts at using some of the filters I don't use often. Micina, The town of power
Welcome to Micina the town that supplies most the bay area with power and oil and has a poplation of just over 10,000. lets take a tour of the town. we'll start of at the main highway where over grow of grass has cussed the highway to be closed to one lane on both sides. also the is the main road the goes all the way round Micina, as you can see the are houseing complexl on the left and office's on the right, and that large poll like thing in the backround is the oill well but we'll get to that later Next we move down to the city hall were the near by sheriff station keeps protesters away (most of the time) the hall has the deportment of uiltly init because over the next few mounts Micina will be suppling 75% of the bay Area with water and will be taking 80% of it waste and sewage we now move down to the oil well the are harvesting the crude that ise under the town witch is sold on the market, and made into plastic and petrol. in the background you can see the ferry dock that just opened last mouth here we have to coal power plant and the plant that make to plastic and petrol, The coal power plant is only suppling power to Micina the nearby town of Yosewell. the city also make round 4,000 crates if plastic, there is no know out be for petrol yet because it set to open that part of the plant next week. what you are looking at now is one of the three rounds at led up the mountain to the plants and the upper part of the town, sadly due to the very poor work done on it it will be closed of in the next few days and rebuilt over time this is know as 'Upper Micina' this is where most of the poeple that work in the near by plants work.you can also see the power plant an the Oill HQ in the backround. now lastly we move back down to the HQ for the petroleum plant this is where all the sales, marking, stock, and all that other stuff is managed. and to end we show you a shot of the city at night, hope injoyed to tour DLC in my game London DLC (not used yet) HAV set (not used yet) 'packs' in my game Mercedes Sprinter Shuttle Bus (not use in this city) VDL "Citea" Bus (not use in this city) Bombardier Cityrunner Tram (not use in this city) B.O.C (not use in this city)- Read More

New Power
So the region is starting to look nice I think. The edge where the cities meat truly is almost blended end. I think I'm going to extend the farm down just to the real highway to merge them more. Childhood's End
Thanks for the comments friends and let me thank you for watching this city journal. This is the final update, so I hope that you'll enjoy it. Please have this song playing during reading Many months after the operation of the mysterious scientific laboratory in Tegel, strange things happened. More and more Sims claimed that they gain access to new abilities, way more advance that they already had. They developed new senses and emotions. They could see and feel things they never imagined, even with their cybernatic implants. Telepathy and telekinesis evolved even more. The death of individuality and the rise of a single collective mind, connecting all Sims and turning them into a single organism, like the cells of the body. Some Sims claimed that they have access to informations before the others, like earning those knowledges without using any scientific instrument. Their bodies became useless. Sims don't need to eat, drink or breathe anymore. In fact, they start to evolve into something new and different. It's the time when Anton Slavik, the leader of the mysterious scientific group in Tegel, appeared and spoke. "People of New Earth, don't be afraid. Your recent experiences are not the end of our civilization, but open windows that reveal us a new world, where everything is possible. Billions of years ago on Old Earth, chemical reactions synthesized organic compounds from inorganic precursors. The inorganic matter evolved into organic, like proteins and D.N.A., the base of life and intelligence. During the evolution of life on Old Earth, successful species rise and fall, like the dinosaurs and the Sims. Almost all animals gain emotions and intelligence, but Sims take them to the next level. Animals like apes could use wooden sticks to crack fruits and feel happiness when they're eating. Sims on the other hand, thanks to their brains, invent the usage of fire, build cities and civilizations, develop science and philosophy, discover the secrets of nature and reached to the stars. Still our ancestors were trapped in the limits of their bodies and minds. No matter what they tried to do, they were prisoned by their physical limits. Our grandparents of Evolution-7 however unlocked the powers we have now, thanks to genetic modifications, nanotechnology, quantum computing and cybernatic implants. Thanks to them, Sims evolved even more. Today we have telepathy, 600 I.Q., emotions like neuve and synthetic skin that protect us from most dangers. Still however, we're limited in the world of matter. Our memory banks obliterate Death, but Death still exist. Our Universe will die in the next billions of years and the conditions then will be prohibitive for any kind of life. Even if we evolve into pure machines, capable to live even in the most dangerous environments like the space void, we still can't survive in the last moments of the Universe. No matter how our bodies will evolve, for as long as we need them, we're doom to die sooner or later. However we discover that the only way to survive and prosper, even in the hard conditions we described, is to evolve into a new kind of life. Pure energy. Life that exists without material bodies and their limits. We're happy to report that the history's greatest scientific project is finally here. The evolution of Sims into disembodied intellects. Pure intellects, immensely powerful, wise and free. A new world is waiting us, rich of new discoveries, powers and abilities. From the stars we and our worlds were born, and to the stars we return again. This is not a loss of humanity, but rather an ascendancy to the next step of evolution. Brothers and sisters, don't panic. This is not the end. It's a new beginning!" A great transformation is going to happen, starting by the scientific laboratory in Tegel. Countdown for the evolutionary jump. 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... 42! That's it! Cities and Sims "disappeared", evolved into intelligent energy-based life forms, liberated from the tyranny of matter. Maxis towns also evolved. Fulham Kensington Spandau Konradshohe Tegel From now, the planet is empty. Not empty by life, but by intelligence. All Sims, all Simcities and all of their achievements disappeared from New Earth. The only evidence that something happen here are the empty spaces of the cities. For some reason however, a few relics still exist on New Earth, like cars and wooden buildings. Everything is changing however. Weather, flora, geology and fauna will eventually destroy all the remnants, cleaning the planet from any prove that somebody was here and something happen here. This event recorded into data base as N.E.E. (New Earth Event). Nobody knows how those scientists evolve a whole planet into pure energy, since all of their data disappeared. And what about the rest of Simkind? Well, time will tell. Sooner or later, time will tell... This was My Maxis Project. I hope that you enjoy it. #11: Season's End; Crown the Champions
Welcome back, Simtropians!! Well it's the saddest day of the year in Westover: the end of the professional soccer and competitive rugby seasons. The games are finished, the points are in, and champions have been crowned in each of the four divisions. Dragons are this year's Elite champions, although it was hard-fought near the end. They had to worry about a late surge in form by runners-up Gremlins. Fortunately, Dragons were able to take it a little easy on the last day of the season as it was impossible for Gremlins to catch up to them. The Elite and Premier leagues have only been around for 26 years, but have made steady progress improving not only the quality of play on the field, but the passion and pride in the fan-bases supporting each team. There are twenty teams in each division. The bottom three Elite teams are relegated to Premier, while the top three Premier teams are promoted. Unlike some divisions out there, there are no playoffs for any of the relegation or promotion spots.This year Eagles, Knights, and Wrens were relegated and will have to fight to bounce back up next season. Earning the promotion spots were the Rebels, Admirals, and Lumberjacks. We'll see whether or not they're able to keep up with the bigger dogs of the Elite league and avoid dropping back down at the first try. The financial incentives to stay up are pretty good, and have been used by most clubs to finance not only better talent, but stadium improvements and training academies. This is a nice view of Dragons' home ground (The Lair) in Menokin. Situated in a mostly residential part of the city, it seats a modest 22,436 fans in relative comfort. Not the fanciest of venues, it is a fan-favorite with its excellent sight-lines, wonderful pitch, good transportation connections, and cleanliness. Here, we have Gremlins' stadium (Erco Arena) in Germanna. Slightly smaller with only 19,537 seats, it's still a great place to catch a match. And finally, this is the home of the Premier League Kingfishers in Chericoke. An up-and-coming team, they finished fourth in the lower league this year, and are hoping to break into that top three tier in the next couple of years. This stadium only seats 6,297 fans, but they're passionate and love to sing the team off the field at the end of each game. Although there is not enough fan interest in Westover to build and sustain a professional rugby league, there are lots of adults who take out stress from their daily lives on the rugby pitch. Some of these clubs have huge numbers of participants and field teams in several different age and skill groups. They also start 'em young, with introductory sessions for elementary and middle school students. Tournaments are regular occurrences on the sports calendar in Westover, and teams come from all over the country to participate. Just as in the soccer leagues, the bottom and top three teams swap leagues at the end of the season. There are no major financial incentives, but the competition is stiffer in the upper league and local bragging rights are important. As you can see, there are a lot of Eastside teams in the league right now. As the largest club in the region, Eastside has a large representation in the leagues. But, as the leagues become more popular and other clubs form, the Eastside teams will undoubtedly lead the charge in forming a new league format. They have a fairly large field complex and host one of the largest tournaments in the country every year. Finally, we get a quick look at some of the other sports facilities in the region. First City
This is my first test CJ. It is also my first aesthetically pleasing city that I built. As seen from the title, it is a futuristic city I attempted to create. Please give feedback! If I get good comments on this I will proceed to show my main region. This city I built in the Maxis region. And it's called Peterburg (very unoriginal ) I didn't figure out how to change my city's name. I think I'll use outlandish futuristic sounding names next time. Anyway here's a lot of pictures. They might tame much time to load so grab a snack while... No demand mods were used. And none of these images are edited in any way. I'm a purist. Pure sc4 pictures are much better. Whole city by day: And by night: First we're going to visit the low density area in the center. It's actually the first area of my city I built, believe it or not! Now I think of it as the suburbs. The terraces are to the west, downtown in the south, and industrial area in the east. It's a good place to live but it's not the best in the city. Apartments here To the south this district joins up with the downtown. I have two versions of duke mall. Next we go to the west where the terrain becomes hilly and terraces have been built.This area is one of the best communities. I have a library and a soccer (football) field in one of the terraces. This is one of the many vertical farms where all the crops are grown thanks to Petrograd Seed Storage in Russia. The seeds are planted and grown specifically in trusted vertical farms. On the next terrace there is a large indoor park for skateboarders and some apartments to the left. On the highest terrace there is a big church. Another vertical farm and my house are also located here. This is what the whole terraces look like. Next we visit the east-south area where the new suburbs are. This district is in fact just south of the industrial zone. Many people grow gardens here. The industrial district which is north of the suburbs is umm...highly industrialized. Most of the factories here make robots,nanotech,or chemicals. The most vertical farms are also here. This is one of the new neutrino communicators which is a relatively new innovation!Notice the big underground driveways. In spite of all this industrialization,rules and regulations require that the factories keep the air clean. Not all industries obey however. These buildings on the right and left are the so called industrial arcologies which employ a great number of workers. Robots are making a rocket. Why are there so many underground ramps in the industrial zone?Unauthorized vehicles are not permitted to enter here. It is rumored that some of the factories make war stuff for the military. Although the factories themselves have never confirmed this... ...Actually some of the factories have underground areas where military stuff is made. The downtown in the south is the most interesting part of the city. Here are sports stadiums,the main library,and corporations of many companies. The headquarters of New Horizons is located here. This is the central park. Swimming Center This is one of my favorite buildings! Apartments in this area have a landing pad on the roof for UFO's! A little suburb here. Here is a science center and a blimp cargo center. -

Hutchinson's Presidential Palace
Welcome to Pasadena, the capital of Sonora! Hello! The country of Sonora is now at Simtropolis community! Today we travel to the northeast of the capital, to reach the historic Villa Real de Hutchinson, now part of the city of Pasadena as a district more. Once there we can observe one of the oldest constructions the country: the Presidential Palace of Hutchinson, the official residence of the Federal Government of Sonora's presidency. Surrounded by two large gardens like the majestic palace stands four stories high, built originally as a summer residence for the Hutchinson family, belonging to the Western nobility. Later, with the establishment of the republic, the structure and its surroundings were expropriated by the new government, making it what it is today. This is where the prime minister welcomes important visitors from abroad. The Hutchinson spared no expense or detail front of the palace building the first railway station in the area as well to join the palace and the surrounding area with French Old Pasadena center. The avenue that crosses between the two locations is the Presidential Avenue, which divides the district into two from Cerro El Centinela to the Conception Bay, places which later show in new presentations. Parallel to this road was built years later, a new section of the P-30, as seen in the very top right of the above image. Why build it right there? The answer is simple: The desert and paradise land where it is today Hutchinson were a perfect place for relaxation and leisure of the nobility. A place away from the metropolis of Pasadena, with direct views of the Laguna Salada on one side and the mountains Cucapá (Cocopah) on the other side. Opposite the west side of the gardens are known "Hutchinson beaches", of which we'll also talk soon ... I hope you have enjoyed this historical journey through the city of Pasadena! Emanthorpe - A rural delight for ghosts!
By The Way, this will be my last journal using small pictures, the next journals will have much larger pictures. Emanthorpe is a small little community of just 77 people, completely isolated from several communities. The town was devasted by fire and for some time, largely remained abandoned. Sims hated coming through Emanthorpe in this period and it soon got the label of a ghost town. The Rural Council of Emanthorpe, starting taking drastic action and after several months, soon became a village again. - 5

Lower Kwun Tong
Kwun Tong (Chinese: 觀塘; Cantonese Yale: Koon Tong; originally 官塘) is an area in Kwun Tong District, situated at the eastern part of the Kowloon Peninsula, and its boundary stretches from Lion Rock in the north to Lei Yue Mun in the south, and from the winding paths of Kowloon Peak in the east to the north coast of the former Kai Tak Airport runway in the west. One of the first New towns in Hong Kong, Kwun Tong was, and remains, a major industrial area. Its population has been growing rapidly, and the demand for housing, medical and educational facilities and services has been increasing. In view of this, a number of community development projects, such as the redevelopment of old housing estates and the construction of major parks, have been implemented in recent years. These projects have incorporated a wide range of supporting facilities, like primary and secondary schools, clinics, community centres and open spaces. All these facilities have brought about a new face to the Kwun Tong District, making it a more comfortable place for the people to live. Kwun Tong was formerly called Koon Tong (literally Mandarin Pond). Some say it was named after the Koon Fu salt yards, set up by the government to secure central administration of the salt trade and prevent unauthorised salt preparation and trading. In those days, there were many salt yards around Kwun Tong, whose long coastline stretches as far as Kowloon Bay and To Kwa Wan in the west. Troops were stationed here to monitor the salt yards' operation. Despite the government's close watch, an illegal salt trade was still active on Lantau Island. When the officials found out, a full-scale crackdown was initiated. The Lantau villagers instigated an all-out uprising of salt farmers, leading finally to a major civil riot. According to other stories, Kwun Tong was a typhoon shelter for the Kowloon Water Police, which made it an important political and defence point of northwest Kowloon. Black Hill (Ng Kwai Shan), which today rises up behind Lam Tin Estate, was known as Koon Fu Hill at that time. In the 1950s, when Koon Tong was being developed as a New town, the local residents disliked the word Koon (官), which literally means official or government, and they persuaded the Hong Kong government to change the place name to Kwun Tong (觀塘), which literally means viewing a pond. Kwun Tong is served by the Kwun Tong Station of MTR's Kwun Tong Line. Roads that are serving the area include: Kwun Tong Road Kwun Tong Bypass Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Kwun Tong Pier used to be a major transport hub for cross-harbour passengers until the opening of the MTR and the Eastern Cross Harbour Tunnel. Today ferries services to Sai Wan Ho and North Point are still available. OFFICE OF THE MAYOR CITY OF SIMSVILLE PETER LESS, MAYOR May 6, 2013 To the citizens of Simsville, in response to our "win" in the Worst City in America poll The tallest windmill kills the most birds. That’s an expression I frequently use when asked to defend Simsville place amongst America's most successful cities. And it comes to mind again this week as we get deeper into the brackets of an annual Web poll to name the “Worst City in America.” This is the same poll that last year judged us as worse than cities that have more serial killers per capita than honor students, cities that consists of nothing more than blocks after blocks of low wealth buildings, cities that don't even have industry. The complaints against us last year were our support of inhumane treatment of llamas (not true), and that our city was somehow responsible for ruining the ending to Mass Effect 3 (only partially true). This year’s contest started in March with Simsville outpolling a city whose greatest export is crime, and (gulp) allegedly responsible for Simsville's recent crime wave. Their city emblem is an Internet friendly cute kitten, ours is a smelly llama. So no surprise that we drew more votes there. Let me cut to the chase: it appears Simsville has “won.” Like the Yankees, Lakers and EA, Simsville is one of those organizations that is defined by both a legacy of success, and a legion of critics (especially me regarding all three of those organisations). Are we really the “Worst City in America?” I’ll be the first to admit that we’ve made plenty of mistakes. These include unexplained sewer shut downs, bridges that didn’t meet the other side of the river, missteps on new tax models and most recently, severely fumbling the launch of the Simsville Streetcar system. We owe our citizens better performance than this. Some of these complaints are 100 percent legitimate – like all large organisations we are not perfect. But others just don’t hold water: Many continue to claim the Always-On street light system in SimCity is a waste of money. It's not. People still want to argue about it. We can’t be any clearer – it’s not. Period.
Some claim there’s no room for a streetcar system as a competitor to buses. 19,000 confirmed passengers are proving that wrong.
We’ve seen mailing lists that direct people to vote for Simsville because they disagree with the winner of Simsville's Best Looking Llama of the year award. Yes, really ...
In the past year, we have received thousands of emails and postcards protesting against Simsville for allowing our LGBT citizens to own more than two cheetahs as pets. This week, we’re seeing posts on conservative web sites urging people to protest our LGBT/llama policy by voting Simsville the Worst City in America.
That last one is particularly telling. If that’s what makes us the worst city, bring it on. Because we're not caving on that.
We are committed to fixing our mistakes. Over the last three weeks, 90,000 Simsvillians took us up on a free turtle offer for their troubles. We owed them that. We’re constantly listening to feedback from our citizens, through our Residents Complaints hotline, Twitter, this journal, or other sites. The feedback is vital, and impacts the decisions we make. I expect the debate will include a lot of comments under this post. But here’s the truth: each year Simsville interacts with more than 35 million residents and non-residents; Our city is breaking records for revenue and new citizens; The Simsville City mobile app, Simsvigram, is at the top of the (local) app sale charts; Our streetcar system and tourist attractions are stunning achievements with millions of visitors every year; and the Simsville Facebook build your own city social game, SimCity, is being enjoyed by millions of passionate fans all over the world. Every day, thousands of people across the country visit and love our city - literally, thousands more than will vote in this contest. So here’s my response to this poll: We can do better. We will do better. But I am damn proud of this city, the people from around the region that work at city hall, the success we create and the people that get to enjoy them. The tallest windmill kills the most birds. At Simsville we remain proud and unbowed. I leave you with a response to an even earlier criticism aimed at our "Simsville 2.0" plan. The Simsville Bugle mocked our forward looking vision of the city as "drastic" and "controversial", but the proof is in the pudding. Our plans have succeeded in improving the city's traffic problems, improved the city's ability to support more population, and fixed many issues that citizens have been struggling with. So far from the disaster that The Simsville Bugle tried to paint, Simsville 2.0 is a huge success. And I leave you with before and after photos of how the new Simsville compares to the old.
