  1. Request: Profitable business deals

    Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is already a mod that makes business deals more profitable, in that they increase the amount of money gained. At least increase it to a reasonable amount, and also related to the risk that comes with it. Would seem fair to me. Right now it seems like a useless trade-off. Probably spending more money fixes the negatives than getting anything at all out of it. Business deals should be good for either party, and from the base game it isn't at all. I did find this mod: but that to me is unrealistic and just like cheating. I don't know how to do it myself, or I would have created it.   3. Let's face it, the subway as implemented in SimCity 4 is a bit boring. Although it saves space in dense cities, you don't get the nice autonama provided by other transit options for the 99% of the time you spend in the game above ground. Visually, it's also a bit bland: just a series of brownish-gray tubes snaking their way around. What if we made things a bit more C O L O R F U L ? (thanks to @CorinaMarie for the original image lol; I think I found this on one of your posts that turned up on Google image search). Adding colored subway lines would add some visual interest and make it a little more fun to build out the system below ground. It would also allow, at least aesthetically, a feature that up until now has mostly only been available in other games like Cities Skylines: the ability to plan and implement separate lines/routes. The NAM is full of reskins for vanilla game transit networks: the SAM for streets, HSR for the monorail, etc. We know it's possible to reskin the underground subway tiles as NAM does this when you use the piece to send roads underground into subway tunnels. Is there any reason why something like this couldn't be implemented? I think it'd go a long way towards bringing the subway to something that's as fun and cool to use as some of the other transit options.

Hi can someone help me by making this for me thank you if at all possible for free as i do not have the money to pay you for this if at all thanks i have Asperger syndrome learning difficulties makes it hard for me to understand the editor properly dont get me i tried even with video help on youtube. It would only really be me using it i would need the files for it so i can load it in the editor then i would upload it to the workshop as a private mod as i find it more easy to use from the workshop and to keep track of. It is basically my mums work place witch i spent a lot of time at its a charity volunteer cafe with computers and also has help groups run from it also sells stuff to help keep it open but its shutting down due to the problem going on at the moment and the stupid church since the church own it. i would love to be able to have it as a low commercial shop in my cities mostly to remember it as i met a lot of people there my experience with making assets like this is not very good at all ive tried making buildings did not turn out well since i just dont get the editor i can make a park though. could someone help the moment it appears in my city i would make it a historic build so it dont go and do this for me please i added picture of the front and back of it i am from the uk .

  9. Sunken Wall Build Request

    Would anyone be willing to create/edit a sunken wall i have so that it fills in the gaps between the slope wall and highway, and also skins that go over the on/off ramps? See attached picture. I have also included the texture pack that im using (HK_BaseTexture.dat). Its texture ID is: 0xf1470000 The overlay texture (Grey strip at bottom) From BSC Textures Vol 01, 02, or 03. Sorry, my compressed pack is to big to upload. ID is: 0x4da44460 (Is not important if it doesnt match well with overall creation) Dont worry about brick wall prop. Ill add that in later. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Even if the wall and grass filler gap were extruded 3D to match the height of the highway barrier to look like a uniform piece would be extra extraordinary!   10. I think it would be really cool if we had industry specific ploppable shops that sell what the unique factories make. For example, a ploppable pastry shop that uses only what the Bakery makes. But then also increasing in size (not growable), i.e: a pastry shop that sells baked goods, a corner shop that sells food (from the food factory), baked goods (from the bakery) and lemonade (from the lemonade factory), a clothing shops that sells clothes and sneakers (from the unique factories), all the way up to malls that sell everything that makes sense for a mall. Even if just the shopping centres and malls in the unique buildings can be modded to accept goods that make sense and turn a profit would be really cool!
  11. I've been meaning to try and import Phineas and Ferb's house from Sketchup as an asset for my purposes. I haven't had much success, needless to say, even using Blender and 3Ds Max.   12. Hi. I'd like assistance from anyone who still plays this game or still enjoys creating custom buildings. I tried to do it myself, but I couldn't get the BAT to install (seems like a common problem with windows 8). I even downloaded an .skp of the structure as a starting point! Anyway, the building I'm requesting is the "Palace of the Soviets," which would have been the tallest building in the world if they had finished it (WW2 got in the way). I've attached images, if anyone could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated!

  14. Mod Idea/Request I have an idea for a mod! A mod that automatically places commercial buildings facing the largest road for example. The goal is to avoid having buildings that face the adjacent small streets. Thank you !
  15. So, I have a plugin called "RH plopmodd" that lets you place down growable buildings from LM menu. But apparently, even if it is an empty map, even if they have everything they need, they are still being abandoned due to commute time. So, what I thought that maybe one good plugin creator can create or already created a plugin that can remove the commute time at all? (unrealistic, I know, but I just want to make that mod running as it was intended)

I would like to request the best mods for some stuff I want to make in my cities: a) Airport: one I can plop each piece but also that makes some commercial/industrial demand (that is, not being only cosmetic); b) The best slope mod and leveler stuff for building dockyards, ports, nice tunnels, channels, etc; c) The proper ports and dockyards' pieces which are ploppable; d) Is there a pack with many many models of schools, police departments, firestations, etc.? e) Which is the mod that puts bus stops "within" the road tile?

  19. Hi there, i am looking for someone who can mod the buoy out of the ferry lines. As i am into Boats and Marina stuff - i am in preparation of turning a lot Boat models into ferry vehicles - so it is possible to simulate kind of lofe 6 action in your citymarina/bay (boats going out and in). But when the buoys appears - you will have the harbour full of them when adding mre and more lines ... so dear promodder - do you think it is possible to delete them (buoys) from the lines ? Alternative could be to make hem smaller to tiny ... thx
  20. I was wondering if there is any way to change a vehicle type. In the futuristic city I was working on I wanted to make an elevated pod expressway similar to what is in the movie Minority Report. I was using this mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=723272626&searchtext=pod as a bus and had many different routes and created elevated bus only highways with no speed limit. However, I got huge backups in my city wherever multiple routes came together. I believe that in a previous patch they made the transport vehicles wait longer at stops so each pod would stop for like 3-5 seconds for only 10 people! Since they're capacity is so low you obviously have to have many vehicles. The only way I could think to clear up the jams is to have 30+ routes. I had planned to have many routes to begin with but with 10 routes and about 200 pods I had huge issues. Even with IPT it would be hell to have dozens and dozens of routes. It would get impossible to manage and would either waste a TON of money or have people wait forever as it would get cumbersome to micromanage so many different routes. The solution to this is to have the pods be taxis, or buses and taxis. Then the spread out traffic could still ride in the pods and using the bus pods one could make routes between critical points to move more people. Then you could still build elevated expressways and simply allow buses and taxis only (or anything else you want like garbage or freight). I found that the highways with the pods looked really cool and were very efficient and fast, as well as it being possible to do near vertical sections and not having issues with functionality and looks. The only problem is when the pods get off the highway and need to pick up people, they jam up in huge lines and actually made the traffic worse! Is there any way using a mod to change the vehicle type or make a duplicate? Would it be simple to mod it on my own? I have done A TON of modding for other games but not much for CS. I absolutely hate to make a request (since I know the work that goes into modding) but if somebody could make some cool looking pods that are taxis and buses that would be great! It would be a super useful mod since with only basic testing I found that elevated unlimited speed bus-ways worked really really well, for the most part I didn't even need more than one lane, even though I was moving thousands of people. Also since near vertical sections are possible, these expressways are versatile and flexible as well as cost effective.
  21. I'm a very big fan of the Sim City franchise, I played SC4 to exaustion, built big regions and stuff. I was away from the series, but today I decided to try Sim Ciy 5, and I loved It! The only problem is that regions seem too empty, even my beach region that is supposed to have small-medium cities. I installed Project Orion to make tiles bigger but still I can't start more than 3 cities and this "Big Construction" thing, the region looks empty.. Is there a mod to change this? Can we get up to 5 or more cities in a region in SC5?
  22. Hi everyone, so I'm a new poster to Simtropolis (have been lurking and playing SC4 for quite a long time). I'm hoping to add more visual diversity to my cities in SC4 while still having them grow naturally, so I was hoping to get some more residential structures-I'm tired of seeing the same 4 types of houses and apartments everywhere. I was hoping that maybe someone could make some lots representing real life examples of housing in Midwestern cities like my home St Louis, Chicago, Cincinnati, etc?   23. I was wondering, would it be possibly to create a mod which created a floating city? Perhaps a platform that can be placed, even if it had to be connected to the ground by a beam, which would allow you to build a city in the air? I'm starting to get into the idea of futuristic cities and this idea is one that I've had for quite some time. Is such a thing possible, and if it is, does it exist?
  24. I want to create roads that are the size of the pedestrian paths. Something like this: I feel even the smaller roads are a bit too clumsy. My questions to the modding community are: Is it possible to do? Has it been done, and where can I find it? Is anyone with the skillset working on it? Cheers!
  25. Hey Guys! I have a question about some features. I have equipped the Public transport place / Nahverkehrsplatz from tobias.schwarz.1981(http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=408638011) And I LOVE IT! But here is the catch, some of the trucks and cars are driving trough and parking on the roads of my transport hub. Now I know that in Simcity 2015 there is a MOD for a special bus/service road. (https://community.simtropolis.com/topic/58004-mod-street-for-busses-ver-20/) Is this also possible in CitiesSkylines? Greetings!
