Nautilus House, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Nautilus House is a five story building with a prominent sunken courtyard. The building is offered as a ploppable library and a growable CO$$. The courtyard and walls are angled to help break the grid and, with the ploppable library version, the lot is designed to be placed along a diagonal intersection as shown in the pictures. Hi there. I'm trying to build a road bridge over sunken rail but I'm not sure how to do it. I don't know if there's a mod that I can download that will make it easier for me or if there's a video tutorial out there. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

[In Progress] How to start with a sunken Mine?
City_Slider posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hello Builders, at the last Thread, we was talking about building/set Roads from the Ground to the Top. Now we are going "Underground". Underground= between 7,5 and 15 Sub Meters every 3 Tiles. What is possible? Whats not? Any Interest about it? Oliver -
Hi, We have some technical issues with FLUPs. The new modding for RHW FLUPs is based on T21 (not ploppable LOT) and we try to let automatas go down the FLUP visually. To see automatas go down the FLUP, the LOD of the FLUP model needs to be negative. However if the LOD is negative the part under the ground is not visible IG (this is the result): In order to be able to see the underground part, the sunken view needs to be "triggered" like modding a Subway station and add the FLUP as a prop: However, this is not possible with T21 modding. Therefore the question is, is there a way for a props to trigger the underground view?

Sunken Library, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Around the world, libraries are enjoying something of a renaissance. No longer just places that house reference books, libraries have re-invented themselves as community meeting places. Modern library designs often include gallery spaces, conference rooms, internet hubs, cafes, creches and private outdoor spaces. This sunken library is a fictional creation that I made to go with the sunken plazas that I released a few months ago. On a 4x4 lot, descending a large staircase, sims arrive at a sun-filled public courtyard, seasonal trees and greenery flanked with glass. A ramp ensures access to this facility is universal. Like the plaza set, this library has been specially made so as to receive shadows from other buildings and structures around it. It looks great in a downtown environment or adjacent to the other sunken plazas I have made. Or simply place on its own and surround with various filler pieces, plaza pieces, etc, as you wish. This is a ploppable lot found in the education menu and provides 86 highly desirable civic jobs, holds 100,000 books and provides an EQ boost to all age groups of your population. --------------------------------------- STATS LIBRARY: Lot size : 4x4 Plop Cost: § 300 Bulldoze Cost: § 90 Demand Created: Jobs§ 36, Jobs§§ 42, Jobs§§§ 8 Pollution: 2 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 2 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 2/3/0 Capacity: 100,000 Coverage Radius: 1,200 Monthly cost: § 250 Power Consumed:18 Mwh Water Consumed: 1 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Building: Civic; Building: Library --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. Would anyone be willing to create/edit a sunken wall i have so that it fills in the gaps between the slope wall and highway, and also skins that go over the on/off ramps? See attached picture. I have also included the texture pack that im using (HK_BaseTexture.dat). Its texture ID is: 0xf1470000 The overlay texture (Grey strip at bottom) From BSC Textures Vol 01, 02, or 03. Sorry, my compressed pack is to big to upload. ID is: 0x4da44460 (Is not important if it doesnt match well with overall creation) Dont worry about brick wall prop. Ill add that in later. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Even if the wall and grass filler gap were extruded 3D to match the height of the highway barrier to look like a uniform piece would be extra extraordinary! Plaza with Hexagon Motif, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- A series of 6x6 sunken plazas which are suitable for downtown environments. I have made and modded these in such a way that the entire modelled plaza base behaves like in game ground textures, and it can receive shadows and light from other surrounding objects. These plazas are made to emulate the typical, designed and considered space where stressed out office workers go to relax and eat lunch. The design of each space is quite boldly geometric and draws heavily on repetition of elements as well as asymmetrically balanced visual weight to create a pleasingly simple impact. The elements of each of the plaza are simple enough - paving, a change in levels, grass/ground cover areas, sculptures, lights, benches and water - but are arranged in such a way as to draw the eye through, in and around the space. Each of the plazas comes with three lotted options which should cover the bulk of how many people play the game, while limiting the number of dependencies. The three options are: 1) Temperate, with deciduous trees that change with the seasons; 2) Mediterranean, with drought tolerant trees and shrubs which remain evergreen; and, 3) Tropical, with palm trees. Each option is clearly labelled. You can keep one or all depending on your preferences, and you can use all three options at once. Each has a unique description and icon to easily identify it in the parks menu. These plazas were essentially designed as a stand-alone element, but each is readily modular, not only with itself, but also with the other plaza sets in the series as is seen by the screen shots. Placing these plazas has a strong YIMBY effect for High wealth Commercial Buildings (helping you build and maintain a skyscraper CBD) plus they have a park effect, so Medium and High Wealth Residences will also want to grow nearby, and, they relieve Residential caps to the tune of 40,000 in each of the wealth categories to really help grow your city. --------------------------------------- STATS PLAZA: Lot size : 6x6 Plop Cost: § 500 Bulldoze Cost: § 60 Demand Satisfied: R§ 40,000, R§§ 40,000, R§§§ 40,000 Pollution: 0 (Air)/ 0 (Water)/ 0 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 0/0/0 Park Effect: 50 over 60 tiles Landmark Effect: 180 over 20 tiles Monthly cost: § 40 Power Consumed: 0 Mwh Water Consumed: 0 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Building: Civic; Building: Park --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: As these plazas are designed to emulate in game textures to receive shadows and light, the same model will work in either Maxis or Dark night situations. --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: To ensure proper functionality, make sure the following very commonly used files are in your plugins: *BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180) *BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2790) *Mattb325 BAT Props Vol02: (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2383) *Mattb325 BAT Props Vol04: (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3672) --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the contents of this file into your plugins folder. Dear forum, I've been playing around with all types of mods and most of them have been working just fine. The following MOD has been giving me some problems though. I've downloaded the necessary dependencies, which are: - Jeronij's Residential And Rural Diagonal Walls Set V1 - BSC Textures Vol03 - BSC Mega Prop Pack jeronij Vol02 (v1.0) - Rural Sunken Highway Walls Straight Sections - NAM - Hole Digging Lots ver.2 Please refer to the attached file, which shows the textures failing for my ramp. All other components for this MOD work fine for me, which is why I'd rather fix this than download a new sunken highway MOD alltogether. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this? Thanks in advance .

Hello everyone, Made a discovery. I found out you can use "Heretic Slope Side Wall, 1x1 Trees" lot or you can use "CLC Park Pack" lots with "Buddybud SNK Highway Walls". When you have an "Angled" wall, it would create a void, you can place the 1x1 Tree (Heretic) or the 1x1 Parks ( CLC Parks) lot instead of having to use the Maxis garden lot. It fills it completely and covers the void left when placing the angled wall. Make sure you have the arrow facing out of the void or else it will not fill the void completely. Just thought everyone would like this tidbit of information. I have enclosed a pic's for you to see. Heretic Slope Side Walls CLC Park Pack Collection 1 to 4 As they say " A picture is worth a 1,000 words". Enjoy.

Hi All, I am trying to put in a sunken GHSR network with walls. However every overpass meshes poorly with the walls. What sort of file should I be looking for to make the green space around the rail bridge go away? I just want everything to look nice. Thanks,

Hi, I recently downloaded and installed NAM 34. I noticed there were a lot of differences from NAM 31. i checked the maxis override box. Right now, I've built a sunken highway (ground level project symphony highway) and am trying to cross over it using the traditional road over highway puzzle pieces. I am having no such luck. I didn't find a way to do this in the RHW Users Manual PDF, the NAM31 User's Guide Manual, or the internet. Can I not cross over project symphony? Is there a way to transition from symphony to RHW? What happened to the cool interchanges from NAM 31? Also, my rail over road is the same as NAM 31 where it doesn't cross over one ways. Do I need to reload NAM 34 but set it up differently? Right now I made a trick by switching back and forth from ground highway to avenue but it looks bad because it's in my downtown area and theres lots of overpasses. What I want to do is build a sunken highway that cuts through the middle of my downtown just like before. Is there an advantage to using symphony?

Suburban Subway - by - Bipin's Suburban Subway, rather than utilizing actual subway networks, takes advantage of the new 7.5 meter sunken/overpass standard available for railway networks within the revolutionary new NAM v31, its primary dependency, is listed along with two others within the installation. To be sure you will not miss them, all three dependencies are presented as hyperlinks, just go through the install wizard and you'll see them. The process is far more streamlined and efficient than with past works! Speaking of that, you may be prompted to restart your computer after the install. This is not necessary. Rather, this prompt is due to a glitch within the installation program. When you are ready to use the train station in-game, refer to the following instructions: First, dig a 7.5 meter deep trench and place the primary station lot from the Railway menu inside. Next, place Pedmall tiles beneath the escalators to create functioning road and rail connections. If you wish to do so, you may extend the platforms with on-slope pieces from the Parks menu. Finally, since this is intended as a rural/suburban lot, you may wish to decorate it accordingly. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Alternatively, a picture-based tutorial for the non-anglophone demographic is included as a read-me that opens towards the end of the installation. However you use these BATs, I hope you enjoy them! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ NOTE: Please read! I have found the final required dependency, it is available here: http://www.bripizza.net/sc4/1104stationNS/1104stationNS.html Click either the mid-page or bottom links to download this item. -
Hey Everyone, I started playing again after a two year break and I'm more then ever into custom content. I just downloaded jeronij's concrete walls to create a sunken highway for my poor city but I couldn't get past something I got obsessed with. The t-intersections. I got the walls around it alright. With no jagged edges mod, they look great but I'm worried about whats between them. As you can see from the screenshot below, the intersection looks too ... bare. I will place parks and other things around the elevated ground but I can't do anything about the ground below the intersection and it looks out of place. Is there anything I can do to place something nice beneath the intersection that will make it fit with the rest of the highway? Something like a texture maybe? Thanks!

Rural Sunken Highway Walls - Bridge Skins -A big thanx goes again to jeronij for allowing me to use his textures. -This is a collection of 10 lots designed to be used with my Rural Sunken Highway Walls Straight Sections and blend in with Jeronij's Residential And Rural Diagonal Walls Set V1. These Walls and Bridge Skins are meant to be placed on the slopes of a sunken highways nest to NAM overpasses, to fill in the green space and add some dimension. This is the first release in a series of highway wall lots. Corners, diagonals, bridge skins and others will follow. -You should use the Road Hole Digging Lot found in Smoncrie's Hole Digging Lots ver.2 to aquire the proper depth for your sunken highway, since all lots are designed for this depth exactly. Random base and top props are found in some pieces to help add variation to long stretches of wall. -Additionally these lots have intrusive overhanging props that project 5m into the highway lot. All things combined these lots are rather restrictive in there use as sunken highway walls set to a fixed depth. The lots are not in a dat so the overhang prop can be easily removed. -All lots come with a wire frame helper that appears when placing the lot. You want the arrow to point to the top for the embankment to function properly. It also helps if you place a road zot at the top of your embankment to help with placement. -Of course this is pointless without NAM, as the upcoming lots will show. This download comes with an html help document all lots found at the bottom of the power menu. ** This file contains an EXE installer for Windows users. **All discussions and support for this product are hosted in my thread Underbridge Scenery at Simtropolis Forums.
