Hello all I am looking for $$ office and service buildings. but i have trouble finding them. i went to the ST Exchange tab, but all types of buildings are presented there, how do i narrow down the search to $$ office and service buildings only? Thanks.

I apologize if this is not the place to discuss this. Please advise me if it is not. I recently "installed" (I don't know a better term to use.) the CSX LEX Superior Collections 1 and 2 and I now see that I have brown boxes for a bus building. I don't know if this happened after "installing" the Superior Collections. It's not the brown boxes that I'm asking about. I'm trying to find out what these are. I tried deleting what I knew had been related to buses from my plugins folder. Querying them is not at all descriptive. Would there be a way to use a utility that can show me all lots in my folder of a certain type? For example, showing me all lots that are bus stations? Thank you!

So I am modifying a lot to change the base texture to match those around it. Is there an easy way to look up which base texture was used on a lot in order to ensure the number in the dropdown list matches? Also, is there an easy way to find the desired base texture in the lot editor list without scrolling forever and trying to match it?

I'm afraid the search engine on our site is broken. I can never enter more than one word into the search bar. Each time I do, I either receive a 524 error or a message that no content was found... Of course this makes searching anything practically impossible. Disappointing as well, because I do not like creating topics to common issues that have already been posted and answered to.

Several times i´ve tried now to use this function on the forum and no matter what i search for or how many words i include to find what i´m looking for i come up with an empty result. Just now i wanted to see if there´s a water treatment plant that doesnt have the ludicrous low working staff of 2 persons only. I plopped that down and was FURIOUS to see, well, a little annoyed with that at least. So if anyone can just give me a link or better explain how to use this search for results to show i would appreciate it. Thank you

Google search faster Simtropolis? There are many positions I can search from Google - not from Simtropolis search table... Is this right? This question does not affect the reputation of Simtropolis... SC4 Devotion just sends everyone to Google. I think that this should be done on Simtropolis as an option .... or COUNCIL DIRECTION. Google finds the main Simtropolis and SC4 Devotion objects, but the Simtropolis search engine does not find many Simtropolis's objects. I think we must give some information about Google search... From my life experience; I found 99% of the information requested by Simtropolis through Gogle but not through the search Simtropolis's strings. Good luck for ALL!!!

Hello everyone, I am looking for a "command Line" that you can enter in the "Search" box in a folder that will Automatically remove the unwanted items from "Plugin Folders". Items such as "Readme's", "Pic's" Dep. List" etc. I had it once but have lost it. Any help would be greatly appricated.

Hello, The last time I've been there was almost two years ago. I had SimCity 4 and always used this site as a source for my buildings and mods. Now Simtropolis' site has a new visual and new content for the other versions, but something I am struggling now is to search anything on the STEX. Either I can't understand the new search system, or the buildings I have before changing computer, a channel system... I mean, everything seems to be nonexistent anymore. Everytime I try to do a search (in the 'Files' section) for some building (ex.: Burj Khalifa/Dubai, Taipei 101, Shanghai Tower, the canal system, 30 St. Mary Axe, buildings that I downloaded in previous times), it almost always returns the same message: What am I doing wrong? How can I do my searches properly?

Not sure as to where this should go feel free to move to correct thread. I've noticed for a while now but to lazy to ask. But I'm only able to do 1 word searches for instance water mods won't fly all I get is no results. But if I use water or mods then I get thousands of results which is no fun to go through when you are looking just for water mods. It's not just water mods but any search more than 1 word I get 0 results. I figure I'm just not using the right syntax. Any help would be appreciated

Missing mods on ST Exchange (or the search is borked)

There was a mod on the ST Exchange here in 2013 that is not showing up when I search it. It was called "Shut Up advisors" that removes unnecessary advisor popups during the game. I searched "advisors" and "shut up" but only irrelevant results showed up. When I tell it to include title only, it says "0 results" So obviously some mods came up missing or the search on this website is not working properly -
Are there any good medieval city building games? or does such an type of game not exist?

Are there any futuristic city building games, where you can build an extremely futuristic looking City (like coruscant)? Or do sci fi city building game not exist because it would be too difficult to program such an game?

Hi guys, it's been a while since I,ve been on here. I'm just getting back into sim city 4 again now and carrying on where I left off and trying to download some more things for my city. I know this is a really silly question, but when I try to search for specific things that I need for my city, e.g theme park e.t.c using the search function on St Exchange, I don't get any downloads, just topics relating to the subject. Basically how do I search for specific bats? It's weird because I never had an issue with this previously, so either the options have changed, or more likely I am going mad.

Would it be possible for someone to please fix the search engine? As it currently exists, it is worse than useless. I really find it impossible to believe that I can type in Cul-de-Sac, or any variation thereof, and get an answer of nothing found. I also find it impossible to believe that I can type in the title of a download exactly, and get an answer of nothing found. If I do get an answer, and the sort criteria is set to Relevance, why does the actual download fall farther down the page than comments on the download, or mention of the download in some other lot?? I would think that the most relevant answer would be the download itself. Just how does the search engine determine Relevance? This problem is nothing new. This problem has seemingly gotten worse as the years go on. If this is a function of the software being used to run the website, you seriously need to get your money back, as it is being wasted. I would think that one of the primary concerns in running an exchange such as this would be making it easy to find something. That certainly isn't happening.

I was using search to find some sc4 lots that fits the Tokyo style. And thereby I found something like this: Apparently someone had commented several files with a same content and his comments bring lots of files that have nothing to do with Tokyo into my search result. This could be a bit annoying. Regarding the time that he posted his comments ... Is there some way to hide his contents in a search? -
Hello I am looking for a map, in the style of 3RR but there are too plain for my taste .... As against the mountains are more realistic (the size) than Drunkapple .... Being a big fan of the MTP, rural landscapes, I do not find it ..... Maybe I'm too perfectionist and in this case, I will create my own? But before that, I have to tell it well exist .... Would you advice?

Search Box Mod - Broken with Snowfall? :'(

One of the greatest mods available, Search Box seems to have been busted by the delightful Snowfall. It worked on Snowfall's launch day, but was incredibly slow at loading results and would hang. Now it crashes any map I attempt to load with SBM enabled and now I've disabled it, the game works fine. Noticed there's a few comments on Steam noting that it's broken too. Is there a way to search ST Exchange for buildings for only 1 game at a time?

I'm still playing SimCity 4, and would like to search for some specific building types. For example, I want to look for "post offices" or "train stations." Is there a way to search only the SC4 files within STEX for terms like that? Unfortunately, my attempts are coming up empty. I can search for terms, but not for only SC4. And I can look at only SC4, but can't search for terms within that listing. Surely there must be a way to do this. Thanks in advance. -
Does the search honour the case of alphabetics? I tried a search in a forum and it failed uniformly. On the other hand, a search on the STEX worked just fine. All things being equal, I believe the search should be caseless.
