STEX Restoration Tracker: Info & Discussion
Cyclone Boom posted a topic in Simtropolis Recovery Project
(The above does not represent the current progress. It is a hypothetical representation only!) STEX Restoration Tracker Info & Discussion Good news! The real-time page to track restoration progress is now (finally) completed and available. Preview pic: It can be viewed at the following URL... https://community.simtropolis.com/restoration/stex/ This topic serves as a mini guide, and also as a place where you can ask questions about it, report any issues, or suggest improvements. It's taken a good couple of weeks to develop this, and during this time we've seen a remarkable number of files already been restored. This is actually a very good thing though, because what the tracker provides is a real-time overview of what's been completed, and what still needs to be done. The info on the tracker will be updated every 5 minutes, so it'll be an accurate snapshot of the current restoration efforts. Layout Overview Firstly at the top, there are summary panels which total how many files have been: Restored Verified Still Missing And then the "Tracked Total" which includes any STEX file uploaded or updated after June 17, 2024. (Which was the date of our last full STEX backup.) Pretty self-explanatory for those, and then we have several filter options: STEX Tracker Search & Filter Options Filter / Control Description Author Search for an individual author's file entries. Category Filter by a specific STEX category (the main ones are listed first). Restored by A dropdown menu to filter by any files restored by specific staff or volunteers. Thumbnail Allows choosing between Small, Medium (default), and Large thumbnail images, which show in the table. Display Switch between Full (default), or Compact for the table, which allows fewer columns to appear. Search Allows searching for any particular file entries. You can also use the id:# prefix to find a file by its ID number (e.g. entering id:26793 will find the NAM). "Filter by" Specific Criteria Sub-Filter Description Any Missing Entries which have anything missing on them (files or images). Missing Files Entries with only files missing. This is the default option. Missing Images Entries that have only images missing. Duplicate Files Lists any entries which are duplicates of others, or have the same file uploaded. All Restored Lists all files which have been restored (whether verified or not). Restored (Unverified) Lists only files which haven't been verified. Restored (Verified) Lists only files which have been verified. With Message Banner Entries which have a "file missing" message banner still. With File Notes Lists any entries in the tracker which have 1 or more notes added. With Files Claims Lists any entries in the tracker which have 1 or more file claims added. All Tracked Files Lists the complete selection of entries, corresponding to the overall Tracked Total. Note: See more info below about File Notes and Claims. Table Columns Each of the columns are sortable when clicking the headings. This allows viewing entries by most files/images missing, or other combinations. Here is a summary of the individual columns and what they represent: File Entry: The title, author, date uploaded, and status text of what's needs restoring. Files List: Totals of how many files and images there are. These will be colour coded for red if missing, orange for partially missing, and green once everything is orderly and restored. The Notes total will be orange if there are any which need responding to. Click each of these to view a dialog which show the precise files assigned to the entry. This lets us see what's present or still missing. Found: The total number of File Claims. This represents how many people have a file, who can help with restoring if needed. Clicking this opens up a dialog with a summary of who has claimed what (files and/or images). We may wish to contact any of these people to assist with sharing them. Files: Indicates with a green checkmark or red crossmark, whether downloadable files for an entry have been restored. If partially restored, it will represent the current live status for how many are available. Images: Similarly will represent the status of how many screenshots on the entry are valid or missing. Verified: Whether the file has been approved or not. Shows a green checkmark once confirmed. Updated: The date when the file has been restored. Hover over to see the precise time. Restored By: Displays who restored each file. This will only be shown once a file has all entries in place, since we anticipate partial restorations will represent a work in progress. If the author does this, it will say File Author as the name. Volunteer / Staff Only column: Manage: There is a "File Tools" option with a range of functions. This includes copying the file ID number, adding notes, marking files as verified, and clearing message banners. Options will be greyed out if unavailable, with a message shown when hovering over each. There are also checkboxes beside each row, which then allows performing batch actions on applicable file listings. Other Options There are also a few extras to mention... Sticky Header: Allows the table columns to always remain in view when scrolling down. (Default is checked) Export CSV: Saves the current filtered data to a CSV file, which allows it to be imported into a spreadsheet. Some of you might be interested in this. Activity Log: Opens a dialog window with a list of actions as part of the restoration efforts. Reset Filters: Clears any filters you've set or table sorting, so everything returns to the initial display view (filtered by Missing Files). File Notes On the "Files List" column there is a total of notes for each file. This allows anyone to add a comment about the file in question. Then staff or anyone part of the ST Recovery Team can "check off" a note to acknowledge what it says. Notes can only be added on files which haven't yet been verified. Also, files can only be verified once all notes have been checked off. In effect this system is a way to mention any important details about each file. Perhaps there are additional entries which need adding. Maybe there is a Dark Nite version the author originally added. Perhaps something in the description isn't quite correct. It's a way to make anything like this known, so then we can collectively fix up issues as part of the process. File Claims No, this is not an insurance claim. (It's a way to express how you have content which can be restored.) Sometimes certain files might be especially difficult to locate. Maybe you have an older version which is worth restoring to the previous versions. Perhaps you've got saved copies of images which used to be on the STEX file entry, or have taken some screenshots yourself. For any files you might have locally and wish to help restore, feel free to submit a claim. Upon clicking the button: It'll open up a dialog like this: Then check any files you might have, and click the Confirm button. Even files which are "Present" you can check too, since sometimes there might only be lower resolution images or thumbnails. Once doing this, your username will be added to a list at the bottom. You can always return to the dialog and uncheck any files, to then remove your claim to have them. Verifications What does it involve for a file to be Verified? It means 2 people as part of the ST Recovery Team (including staff) have checked over to make sure a file has been restored properly. We'll be following a process to do this the best we can, which adds assurance to the restoration efforts. A file which has been verified means at least 2 people have downloaded all files on an entry, and checked out to ensure everything is in tip-top shape. In the event a file still needs something addressing after being verified, please let us know and we'll take another look. ---------- So that concludes a brief overview of the Restoration Tracker. Given the first phase of the project is focused around the STEX specifically, for now we're only keeping track of missing file entries. In time I'll expand this for an Attachments Tracker and perhaps other site areas like the Gallery, etc. Feel free to reply with any comments or questions you may have, and I hope this will be a useful resource for the restoration efforts.- 24 Replies

This topic is for file authors who are updating their STEX file entries by fixing missing files and/or missing file images. There is a separate step needed to restore the Download Button. The file message banner CB added needs to be deleted and that is a staff only option. (Once it's gone, the button will magically reappear.) For now, you can simply post a linky to one or more STEX entries where you've fixed them and I (or other staff) will go delete the banner. I'm thinking we'll also then delete your post in this thread so that way we don't get confuzzled about which ones need our attention. As such, don't start any convo or ask any questions here.

Hi all, I have been creating quite a lot of custom submenus for the Submenu DLL mod, which I now tend to share on the STEX. However, I'm not sure how to proceed. I found the "Upload file" button, but that doesn't seem right. Can someone please point me towards a short manual or "how-to"-Guide .. Thanks

sc4pac [Guide] How to Setup Your sc4pac STEX Token
Cyclone Boom posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Allowing Unlimited downloads from the STEX I'm pleased to formally announce a new greatly superior method to handle sc4pac authentication. I've been working with @memo and @smf_16 to develop a system which allows downloading using his sc4pac tool, without restrictions from ST's end. Understandably STEX download limits are a barrier to sc4pac working efficiently, so we had to come up with a solution. To surmise: As many of you will know, we maintain server integrity by placing limits on guest downloads (max of 20 per day and slower speeds). This means by default, downloading using sc4pac you're seen as a guest, with such restrictions implemented. Briefly there was a cookie authentication method to avoid that, but there were drawbacks in both security and ease of use. Now I've developed a Token system which will allow unlimited full speed downloading, while being secure and much simpler to implement. This means you can generate a personal token for your own use, to then input into sc4pac. The token is a series of 64 random alphanumeric characters, which is unique to your own Simtropolis user account. Then whenever downloading using sc4pac, it sends the token to the ST server. I've implemented server-side logic which handles this, and looks up your token to make sure it's valid. Once accepted, sc4pac downloads from the STEX as a guest, but crucially bypasses the daily downloads limits and speed limitations. How do I generate a Token for sc4pac use? Please watch this video tutorial I've made which explains the process entirely... Where is the Token page? It's located at the following URL: https://community.simtropolis.com/sc4pac/my-token/ Note: You must be signed into your ST account in order to view this page. Only you can view your own token. As explained in the video, there are options to generate a new token at any time, and revoke (delete) your current token. Doing so wipes out that token completely, which would require adding a new token into sc4pac in order to continue authentication. Tokens once set do not automatically expire. You are free to continue using a given token for as long as you'd like. By the way... Please avoid posting your token in public, and also don't share it with anyone. (We do keep track of usage.) What is this "sc4pac" thing anyway? Quite simply, sc4pac is a tool developed by @memo (and others) which allows you to automatically download and install SC4 custom content. The process from start to finish is fully automated, and allows you to select from an ever-growing list of sc4pac compatible plugins (more are being added). You'll notice a black "Install with sc4pac" button on many STEX files to download using sc4pac. Of course, you'll have to first install the tool in order to benefit from this feature (it uses a local URL protocol). The latest GUI version of sc4pac can be obtained from the STEX: It comes available in 3 flavours depending on your system: Windows, Linux, and a web-app version which runs in browser (cross-platform). See the main sc4pac support thread for more info, and if you'd like help with using the tool itself. So, what was wrong with the cookies authentication method? Previously the only way around the daily downloads limit was to paste your ST session cookie data into sc4pac. Then the site would see you as downloading. You might be wondering why we don't continue with this. The answer is while cookies worked, there were 3 main issues: 1) Security As many of you will know, cookies are plain text data files containing information for a website to read. In this case, we're talking about ST login cookies. These allow you to remain signed into the site, after checking the "Remember Me" box. Previously sc4pac needed them to make sure ST knew you were downloading as yourself, not a guest. This way it worked around the daily downloads limitations. While sc4pac remained secure, there's always a risk with handling one's session cookie data. There was at least one instance of someone posting their cookie data in a public reply seeking technical help, which was quite a concern. Anyone who obtained such info could sign into the member account the cookie belongs to. No password would be required, because a session cookie is the password. As such, it seemed far from ideal. 2) Ease of Use Copying one's session cookies from browser inspector was a technical challenge. It was doable, but for some users who might not prefer to fiddle around with this sort of thing, it wasn't ideal. Also given it had to be copied into the exact format, there was risk of mistakes being made. 3) Convenience After 3 months the cookies data would expire and need adding again. This would require you to go through the same steps to re-authenticate, because one's session cookies are only validated once signing into ST again. By using a token, this is now a moot point (since tokens don't expire). To surmise visually: So from the v1.1.0 update, sc4pac no longer supports cookie authentication. The new tokens method fully supersedes the previous implementation. This means from now on, ST will download with guest permissions if the request doesn't have a sc4pac token. If you're still using the cookies authentication, we highly advise upgrading to the latest sc4pac version, generating your token, and adding it to your sc4pac instance. This is simpler to use, much more robust, and has no download restrictions. What about my STEX downloads history? When downloading using sc4pac with your token, it assigns downloads to your own account. This means you'll still appear in the Who downloaded this? lists for any file you're downloading. In effect you're downloading as a guest, but using your member permissions. However, you still might want to lookup previous downloaded files and differentiate them from your regular STEX downloads. Here's a preview of an upcoming site feature I'm creating which will do exactly that... Concept Design Only (this is still under development) As can be seen, there'll be a indication icon for any sc4pac downloads (as I did for the NAM slope mod). It'll allow determining if there are newer versions of files, and ability to filter between those which have updates available. You'll also be able to see on STEX files themselves if you've download them before. This was a very helpful feature on the old LEX, which we'll finally be bringing to the STEX at long last. The idea is a front-end preview which can help you navigate the STEX alongside sc4pac for managing your plugins. I'll post further details once I finish developing the downloads history feature. Please post below if... You've any questions, comments, or feedback about sc4pac tokens or anything I've explained. That means this topic is intended for replies about tokens. But no worries if asking about sc4pac we'll move posts to the correct thread. (And thank you to @CorinaMarie for encouraging and providing me with moral support as ever!) We hope collectively this gives you more freedom to use @memo's excellent tool. -
Would it be possible to run the game fine with every single STEX addon?
bluejeans posted a topic in SC4 - Custom Content
Back in 2006 or so I was running with about 200 lots, and that was with a pentium 4. On cities xl, these days, I can build a city of 3 million without intolerable lag. Sc4 runs far, far better - so I'm wondering if modern system have what it takes to do this? I guess the left menu would be so cluttered that it would make using the lots etc impossible? -
Every time I want to download it always appears like this: Can anyone help me?

STEX Collection indexes and links broken
Dystopian Prophet posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I downloaded all 3 STEX collections and I'm having a hard time grasping what's there because the files are all numbered instead of named, and every bit of documentation is a broken HTML page with broken links. I've got 4 gigs of lots with nothing but numbers and no way to figure out what they are without going file-by-file. Even that's not enough in some cases. Is there an auxiliary index available? -
Hi All (admins preferably ), I am currently in the process of browsing through all possible content types ranging from automata through BATs ending on civic structures - lot to do and test. My question though would be - how can I create a news feed / stream which will notify me about new content posted in each STEX category? The thing is I finished checking the agricultural section and will shortly be done with automata. How can I ensure that the page will notify me about new files in these (and possibly other) sections if anything new drops? So I don't have to return there three years later and loose my mind seeing how many new things are there? Thank you and have a nice evening / morning.

So, I had a question about the STEX and the mods that are on it (and this applies a bit to the LEX as well). And, please forgive me for making a new topic if there was already one, I checked the first couple pages of topics and none looked appropriate, do merge this with the appropriate topic. But, I was wondering, what it would take, and if it would be allowable, to have mods under a user to be bundled together into a larger package. One that could be downloaded and installed. Likely with options for the stuff that people may wish to add into their game. I'm aware there's a size limit as well as a bandwidth thing, so, I get it if this can't be applied across the board. And, I fully expect some users to have their mods grouped into multiples given how much they've contributed. The idea was basically to group a person's mods, so that everything gets installed at once. So, if someone has like 12 buildings, then players could install all 12 at once if they choose. This wouldn't take the place of the individual mods, for those who don't have much data/speed for grabbing the larger files. The group/installer would be limited of course, and I'd say no more than like 100mb. I'm also aware of the efforts by many modders in regards to Project Zip, which I think is absolutely wonderful, and this is not meant in anyway to undermine the work put into that. The thought was simply to break things down by modder and have stuff grouped together appropriately (such as dependencies etc), to help speed up the install process for many people. But, to reiterate: would there be any issue for grouping mods together? And, what would it take to be able to do this, or something similar? And, preferably without causing issues for the servers these mods are on.

Hi, not sure this is the right board for this, but i was wondering if there is a way, when browinsg SC4 Lots on the STEX, to further limit it e.g. to only show growable Lots?

With the STEX approaching 20 years old (containing 23,459 files and counting), we believe the categories are due for an overhaul to make browsing much easier for all players. The current structure is way too broad and we believe that can be improved. Therefore, we've outlined a proposal to enhance the ease of finding SC4 files on the exchange. The poll question is simply whether or not you agree changes would be a good idea without needing to agree specifically with the following suggestions. Then when you reply, you can agree with the outline or make suggestions of your own. The following is a replacement for "Lots" and "Buildings" categories as well as other tweaks: Proposed New STEX SC4 Categories Residential: Houses, apartments, and tall towers with residential use. Commercial: Shops, shopping malls, office blocks, and skyscrapers with commercial use. Industrial: Factories, manufacturing facilities, and high tech buildings. Agricultural: Farms and other rural themed lots, including fields. Civic & Urban: Primary city civic structures, including fire, police, school, hospital, churches, rewards, and stadiums. Also anything urban themed in general, including other misc ploppable structures. Utilities: Power plants and transformers, water pumps and towers, sewage and garbage processing facilities. Parks & Plazas: Ploppable lots themed as park sets for city beautification purposes. Transportation: Items themed around transport networks, including stations, road and rail mods, tunnels, airports, and seaports. Automata: Cars, trains, planes, boats, which travel on game transportation routes. Gameplay Mods: Modifications which alter aspects of the simulation parameters. Graphical Mods: Modifications which enhance graphical aspects, including water, terrain, beach, rock, and tree mods, and UI elements (e.g. data views / graphs). Also includes MMPs which add details to the landscape. Cheats: Mods or lots which are designed to radically alter the gameplay, such as for city funding boosts. Tools: Programs to use for working with SC4 data files, along with map making utilities. Maps: Files to allow custom regions to be rendered for use in game. Ready Made Regions: Complete zips of playable pre-rendered regions (~50 MB max). These are either terrain only or with development in place. Dependencies: Files to use which add props or textures on custom lot designs. These are intended for using in the Lot Editor or PIM-X tools. 3ds Models: Gmax source model files which can be used for modifying and rendering as a custom BAT design. Obsolete & Legacy: These files are not recommended for use, but are kept here in case someone has a reason to need them. ---------- By creating this topic, we'd like to gauge community opinion about the idea for these new categories. Do you like these, or have suggestions for other categories which might even be worth adding additionally? Remember, the poll is for a Yes / No opinion meaning: Yes: Make some sort of changes. No: The SC4 STEX categories are perfect as they are already. We also encourage discussion about this so we can refine the implementation. We plan to keep this open for a few weeks (depending on input), and after such to commence the reorganisation if there is a two-thirds majority in favor (Yes) for changes. Thanks everyone. -CB & Cori

I have created a spreadsheet that lists STEX file downloads. It has the name of the download, the creator, what type of file, the dependencies, and the link to the download page. The first column is left open so you can check it if you've downloaded that particular one. I have a long way to go before being completed, but if anyone is interested in having a copy of it upon it's completion, then let me know how to upload it for everyone to use, that is if anyone would be interested. For all I know someone has already done this, but I enjoy doing it. I may need a few pointers on what to call certain downloads, so any input is welcomed. Thank you.

I donated $50 for the 3 set. How do we download them?

Hey, I'm a noob when it comes to uploading files to the STEX, so I don't even know if this is the correct forum to ask this. Anyways, I need help figuring out how to properly upload files to the STEX, as well as how to delete unwanted ones. I tried uploading my first file (Addon for RRetail's Gas Station Relots), but it somehow ended up uploading with all images documents and folders as seperate downloads when I tested the download button after uploading it, and I'm pretty sure no one wants to be forced to download tens if not hundreds of different files, depending on how large the file is, just to get a single BAT, Lot or other custom content. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

So I was trying out Magneto's SAM 1 Override mod (SD version) and was dismayed to see that it didn't quite work properly. As you can see, there is no texture for the unzoned tile at the closest zoom: I thought I might have to create the texture myself, but thanks to Rivit's GoFSH I was able to figure out that the texture was simply ID'd incorrectly: There should be N = 5 textures. So our missing texture is in fact not missing at all: I'm glad this was an easy fix, however I don't want someone else to come across this problem and discard the mod. Seeing as Magneto has not logged in since 2014, he's not likely to come around to fix it, so can we upload a fixed version of the file anyways? @CorinaMarie @Cyclone Boom Thanks!

I bought the STEX on the assumption that if I did so, I wouldn't have to see that popup whenever I visit this site. But it still appears. So that's my fault. But is there a way to bypass this popup? I bought the STEX, so there's no need for me to continue to see this ad. I'm using ad blockers on the latest version of Firefox for Mac.

Hello, i am interested in downloading the STEX Collections, but i am a bit confused about the content. On the presentation page of the STEX Collections the following is stated: Do I see it right that there is material on the DVDs 3, 4 and 5 until 2013, but not beyond? I.e. lots, mods, etc... that were created after 2013, I will not find on the DVDs, right? I am also interested in whether the material will be updated. For example, if someone has released a mod in 2013 and it's on one of the DVDs and the mod has been updated in 2016, is the original or updated version on the DVD? The last question refers to the individual DVD's. DVD 3 is the cheapest at $10, DVD 4 at $20 in the middle and DVD 5 at $30 is the most expensive. You write that all DVD's have unique content, i.e. for example no identical lots, mods, etc... are on DVD 3 and 4 or on DVD 3 and 5 or on DVD 4 and 5. Does this mean that on DVD 5 is the most recent material (e.g. everything from 2011-2013) and on DVD 3 and 4 is older material? Are the most important additions, such as the NAM mod on all DVDs or only on DVD 5? Thanks in advance for answering these questions and thanks in general for the incredible work you are doing here :-)

After contributing to this site, I was given a link to a "STEX". I don't know what STEX means. I downloaded a large .iso file that was emailed to me. I can open the file. Now what? I guess there are cities, maps, and other extras that people have created. Should I import them into my version of the game? If so, how?

Suggested Future Plans of STEX (and Simtropolis in general)
Propfam posted a topic in Simtropolis Related
Hello, I have some proposal to the STEX. Here are the proposals. STEX Premium Collections STEX is one of the largest SimCity 4 exchanges. What makes STEX different from LEX is STEX also hosts C:S, SC2013, SC3K, to even C:XL. Not only those, we also hosts defunct exchanges like SimCityPolska, SimCityBrazil, PLEX, to recently, WMP. But, we lack things from LEX and one of the things is certified mods. We currently don't have certified mods in Simtropolis. This means mods can be low quality. Fortunately, we do have an active custodian to fix problems but we can only fix problems regarding things that mods advertise. For instance, we don't make officially the CAM version of some old buildings because they didn't advertise the version. That's the Premium Collection job. This is the replacement to STEX Collections and not the regular STEX. This is similar in concept to the Mod Certification on LEX, but not the certification criteria. We are more strict and we have an exclusive contract with creators. For instance, we can provide an official CAM version of old buildings alongside regular after-release bug fixes. Another example is the BAT itself. We can obligate creators, for instance, to have a proportional job capacity, both in vanilla or CAM version. We can also prohibits creators from adding unrealistic stats except if they're advertised. This is a paid service as again, the replacement to STEX Collections. We may set the price of $5/month. With this price, you can access the entire collections. Some mods are even exclusive to the collection. In the future, we may paid creators in the collection per download in the contract. And for you, content consumer, you won't see the ads in the mods' listing even on regular STEX. It feels like YouTube Premium, except it's for mods. For the name, we may settle with STEX Premium, STEX Premium Collections or STEX Subscriptions. Which name you like? A bit of disclaimer here, we still provide after-release bug fixes to mods available on STEX. However for adding things beyond the advertised, we won't do it, at least officially. Again, it's not replacement to the STEX. You can still use the STEX however you want. STEX One-click Dependency Similar to existing LEX Dependency Tracker. The One-click Dependency will automatically downloads dependencies with just one-click. This is backed by .json files provided by creators or us if it doesn't exist already. Our service to add .json is available both to Premium Collections mods and regular STEX mods. STEX Modpaccs Yes, it spelt like that. It's actually an acronym by @CorinaMarie and @Cyclone Boom (or CoriBoom should we say). Modpaccs are similar to Collection mods on LEX. It uses One-click Dependency. The mod is similar to other mods, except it's not downloadable (or downloadable with .json/.txt file as a reference). The user should use One-click Dependency to download the content that the modpack provides. This greatly reduces time needed to download a set of appropriate mods. STEX (or Simtropolis) on YouTube Basically, we will create a STEX (or Simtropolis) YouTube channel. Here, we will post showcases, editor's picks, Q&A and tutorials of mods here on STEX. But not only that, we will also post city journals, hot topics, Omnibus articles, and so on in the future. So, we won't just post STEX content but also Simtropolis. We may combine Simtropolis and STEX or separate both in channels. We may monetize the video so the profit goes into the community. Or, we can skip ads and just promote our premium service (Premium Collections) in our videos. The question will be who want to be on the show? Simtropolis Merch Credits are due to @SorryImLate and @Raymond7cn. We will sell merchandise related to Simtropolis. The most likely one will be hoodies. We partner with expert garment factory to produce high-quality and even better, fair trade hoodies. In the future, we may sell much more luxurious yet simple and elegant hoodies, maybe aside from the standard ones if they're profitable. In the future, we will also sells mugs, t-shirts, to even premium mouse pad. We will also trying to be a fashion brand to even gain more "profits" (because we aren't profit-based corporation), which will be fueled to our community. Ad-free Simtropolis Because of the profit taken from the merch, AdSense (if any), and the Premium Collections, we mayn't need ads anymore. We can remove ads from Simtropolis for seamless experience. But, we still consider this feature to be exclusive for Premium Collections subscribers or for general (even guests) users. What do you think about these ideas? What ideas you want to propose? Thanks.- 6 Replies

Hello all, Quick question if anyone can help. On the 31st December I donated to this great website as Iv used it many times over the years and felt it was worth it. When I donated it said I should get an email to which I should reply to if I wish the STEX DVD id recieve to be a digital copy instead, which I would like(as in the UK so much quicker), but havent recieved any email at all since the donation. As instructed on the page I messaged 'Dirktator' with the query but with no reply. I also tried the chat option but it doesnt seem to work. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction please. I just wish to confirm that Id like a digital copy and hopefully recieve it. Apologies if this isnt in the right place but tried a few things which havent worked. Many thanks.

official STEX Custodian General Support Topic
STEX Custodian posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hi everybody! The @STEX Custodian is a legacy account managed by me (@Tyberius06) with the permission and full support of the site admins @CorinaMarie and @Cyclone Boom, who are also part of this joint project. The goal is to collect and restore otherwise lost SC4 custom contents for the future, also it will recover partially contents from SimCity China, which is more or less unavailable for players from the Western part of the world (US, Europe). Most of these contents are coming from the Far East, from long gone japanese personal webpages, the folders (not the actual contents) will get a little facelift with some kind of proper documentation and folder structures. Whoever has custom content which falls under the "lost content" category is most welcome to get in touch with us. Time-to-time I will put requests into the Can't find it?... Ask here! topic, if I ran into something missing. This is a general support topic for contents which will be uploaded under this account. It's very important, that this account (and its managers) doesn't claim any creadit for the uploaded contents, in any case the credits will go for the original creator, only those lost contents go under this account, where the original author doesn't have account on Simtropolis or can not be sure which account belongs to the creator. Where the creator has account on STEX, the contents will be uploaded by this account and then will be moved to under the original creator's account. If someone else uploads (or uploaded) lost contents in good faith the credit must be given to the original author, the contents will be kept under the original uploader's account for 1 week, then they will be moved to under either this STEX Custodian account or (if there is such) the original creator's account. Also this is the support and general reply topic for the SimCity 4 Prop and Texture Catalogue. This first post will be edited time-to-time whenever a new lost content will be uploaded. If you update, please make sure that first bulldoze all relevant instances from your cities, then place the updated (freshly downloaded) versions into your plugins and replop the relevant LOTs.
