Hello i am hoping this thread helps me and others in finding BATs for Pop Culture. I cant speak for others but my reasoning for wanting these BATs is that i intend to create a region with multiple cities that focus on something (Example being 1 city being Marvel based another city being GTA based) and have one main city that is a combination of all. So far i've found BATs for the Simpsons (moes tavern, barneys bowlerama, simpsons house, kwik-e-mart, lard lad donuts, springfield tire yard and town hall, plus what i believe to be java the hut and king toots), GTA (found a few things like gas stations, ammu-nation and some vice city stuff) and other fictional plugins like Roxxon from Marvel, Scranton Building from The Office, what i believe to be Monk's Coffee Shop from Seinfeld among others. My wish list is the following but not limited to: Simpsons (Really anything that wasnt mentioned above) GTA (Any and all BATs.. Burger Shot, Cluckin' Bell, Some of the Casino's and Hotels from San Andreas/GTA 5 and Vice City respectively) Marvel (Stark Tower, Stark Industries, Oscorp, Avengers Tower, Avengers Compound to name a few) DC (Anything Batman as well as Daily Planet and LexCorp from Superman to name a few) Fast and Furious Franchise (Torettos Market & Cafe, the Toretto House, various locations from 2 Fast 2 Furious) Pokemon (Would be cool if there were some Gyms, a PokeMart, Professor Labs, Department Stores.. basically anything to go with the Pokemon Center that i can be found here) The Office (Dunder Mifflin and Michael Scott Paper Company to go with the Scranton Building) Yugioh (KaibaCorp, Grampa's Shop, Pegasus' Castle among others) Others like Jurassic Park (InGen), Friends (Central Perk), Seinfeld, Bobs Burgers, Monsters Inc, Suite Life of Zack & Cody (Tipton Hotel), Ghostbusters, Toy Story, Futurama, South Park, Family Guy or Anime versions of actual places (WcDonalds for example). There are a host of other Pop Culture buildings that if found couple always be used somewhere. If anyone has any links or BATs stored of these and others please share them.

This is Seis, a region created to look like the logo for Grand Theft Auto 6. Fun fact: I wanted to name the region the Latin word for "six," but that turned out to be "sex" and there was no way I was naming a region "sex," so I went with the Spanish word for "six" instead. Size: 16x16, 16 large tiles Geography: Flat islands/iles How to install: Extract the zip folder, then put the main folder in your Documents/SimCity4/Regions folder. -
I have a dream that someday we will see a citybuilder using a graphic engine as powerful as GTA V's engine. I don't know if you saw those vids, some made using a free camera mod : It blows Skylines out of the water, it kills CXL... Maybe now that Skylines made a success they will ivest in a better engine for the second one... but for a moment, imagine if those vids could be from a city builder !!!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone know a website, or lessons, to learn the needed algorithimics to make a video game (simple, and advanced like strategy and racing games)? I'm not interessed in using the video games making softwares, I'm more interrested in the core of it, the programming of it, or more precisely the algorithmic thinking and the algorithms needed.

This is my 2nd region I've made today. Bonland is my biggest region ever created, featuring lots of space to build you farms, countrysides, and anything you plan on building. It also has some rivers and seas, suitable for building tropical paradises. But it doesn't include any mountains, cities, or trees, as shown in the pictures, and it may look different depending on what mods you have (if you've installed any, of course). Enjoy, and go to my website to see more of my stuff! Setting up the region Make a new folder, then put all the files from the archive in that folder. Start SC4, then hit ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+R to open up the box where it asks your for the terrain grayscale image. After you find my files in your folder you created, hit OK and the game will begin generating the region. Depending on your computer and CPU processor, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to about 2 hours. For me, it took exactly 1 hour. The same also applies whenever you're loading regions of this size. Bigger regions take longer to load than smaller ones. -

Converted from GTA Vice City, this mod brings the VC map to SimCity 4. Included in this region are new added islands, (with the rest of map being slightly different from the original one.) I worked really hard on it, trying to make it look exactly as original, but with new islands. You can either make as many cities as you want in the map or, recreate the whole original city. The region has really big city squares. Islands: The islands included in this region are: Hawaii, (near the 3 islands mentioned just below it, and just in the middle of Vice City) Oahu, Tampa, Crescent, Starfish Island, Ocean View (East Vice City) Donnel Island (West Vice City) Pete and Dete Islands (South Vice City) Portland (Near the Corner of East Vice City) HOW TO INSTALL: First, make a Vice City folder into you C:\Users\(username)\Documents\SimCity 4\Regions folder. If you have Windows XP, then follow this path: (C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions). Then extract all files in this archive into the folder, then launch SimCity 4. In-game press ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+R and it should show a box. Depending on your version of Windows (etc. XP or 7), select the paths that were mentioned above, then go to the Vice City folder, and you should see "terrain.jpg" file. Click OK, and it should be busy generating the map. Note that generating may take some time, maybe a long time. It usually takes about 20-35 minutes, but that does depend on your computer. Enjoy!! -
Greetings! I'll ask everyone to bear with me here while I try once again to produce some BAT's, and hopefully get a few of them onto the STEX this time perhaps... Since I don't expect my presence to be known by anyone outside the ST live chat room, I'll just say that some many ages ago I attempted to kick-start a BAT thread which never got anywhere and I've staggered into BAT'ing on and off since. I have a limited knowledge when it comes to working in 3dsmax and everything I know I taught mostly myself, however I'll mainly be doing most projects I think with Gmax, so forgive my potential crudeness... Now to business - I've gathered the courage to start this thread and face the criticism (I hope) of the now very experienced and professionally BAT community so that I can finally contribute at last... by this I mean strictly Toronto BAT's, for now at least. However I don't have anything really I can post here yet, I do apologize if this thread turns out to be a little pre-mature, but as I am still busy in the real world I'll be sure to make the time to get something to show after the weekend when I get to really sit down and hammer something out... Looking forward to having something to show later and hear what you guys think! Cheers!
