Mod content: 134 growable CAM-patible farm lots, each one individually designed, ranging from tiny romantic (stage 1) to dystopian agricultural scifi (stage 10). 45 new or completely reworked field lots with crops like canola, cabbage, bamboo, potatoes, strawberries, artichokes, animated lifestock or elements like grow tunnels, greenhouses, vertical farms. 250 new props/bats. 70 new textures 6 ploppable functional lots 13 cosmetic puzzle pieces to add fences and farm tracks to the fields. Mod's purpose: Collecting some of the best farming stuff, adding own stuff where needed and creating something with an overall concept from it. This means building up complete themes like winery, lumber industries, lifestock farming, grain production, including different elements of the productions chains (grain -> brewery, life stock -> slaughtery) - so for each city of your region there can be different main focus of agricultural production. Mod's challenge: This mod can be very demanding on computer/game performance and there may be actions to take about this. Also setup requires some patience as you have to make certain decissions and you have to select and sort content different according to this decissions. It's recommended to wait for a rainy afternoon to install this mod. It's essential to read chapter 1,2 and 3 of the included documentation. Dependencies This mod requires at least 38 dependencies (depending on your choices more). This is no put and play - you need to follow installation instructions of the documentation). Do this step by step. For easier management the dependencies are broken down into five sections. For performance reasons it's recommended to datpack some of the sections containing smaller files into a single bigger one after you are done and everything works. If you just need a naked player without any fancy stuff - free and open source and a solid, stable working horse - take "mpc-hc" or "mpc-be". This is "Media Player Classic - Home Cinema" or "Media Player Classic - Black Edition". As it's open source these two are different development branches. While the Development of the first mpc-hc stopped in 2017 (and of the original mpc already in 2008), a few projects were forked from the 2017-version and are still developed and frequently updated. I'm writing this, as there are quite a few site on the web, saying this player is outdated - (and the precoursor is indeed) but it's misleading information. Ólafur Arnalds (Iceland). Those northern musicians - with four or five notes they write a melody and from this simple melody they build a shelf ice of emotions. -
At my age brain does simple connections, like: food -> refrigerator, TV -> soccer, Rain -> stay on the couch. At my age this structure for presenting knowledge is really helpfull. You ring bells in me, plenty of bells. All this knowledge seemed to be lost somewhere in time and space, you trigger it! Thank you so much! People like you, they hold the universe together! People like you help me to remember the reason, why this big grey humming thing stands in my kitchen, this .... this ... a you know what I mean.

I agree with matias. I didn't play the newest CAM version but it was always the way on the first four growing stages there was no big difference regarding the density (occupants per tile). Reason ist those stages are defined by other needs (water, electricity - so your city won't grow much regarding population but regarding size), So to "camify" bats on the first three growing levels never was really needed. It's mainly and above all an upward expansion adding 8 grow stages behind the 8 grow stages of the base game. The most important thing for gameplay is to have all your nice bats distributed over those 16 grow stages in a reasonable way. Imagine you'd have 5 bats on grow stage 3 and 500 on grow stage 4. SC4 tends to build always the same - best fitting - bat, it doesn't seem the algorithms can really make use of so many different bats in your plugin folder, if they are all on the same grow stage. Of those 500 most of the time only maybe 50 (don't know) may be seen. But always those poor 5 on level 3. So above level 8, starting with grow level 9,that's where CAM comes fully in charge. If there are no "camified" bats for this growth level ... well obviously nothing can happen then. That's why CAM must modify all maxis bats and reorganize them, spread grow stages out, distribute them over 16 instead of 8 stages. So "camification" is important for those big buildings without CAM they are stage 7 or 8 - with CAM should be 14, 15, 16 instead. On those - change of stage is hughe and makes a big difference (stage is doubled) while between stage 4 or 5, or 5 or 6 - it's not the same big step, the stats won't change dramatically, instead slightly. Now, Regarding the beautiful work of madhatter most of those bats are "borderline" regarding CAM. Camified or not mostly they wouldn't change growth level, maybe stats a little bit (lesser density/occupants per square). So imo they will run fine with or without CAM. If they don't grow, more likely there are already a lot of bats for this growth level in your plugin folder fitting better (choice/opinion by stubborn algorithms) . So you could alter grow level upwards, f.e. change it from 6 to 7. But then they may grow like weed. It's something I never got balanced in all those years. If you reach a certain amount in your plugin folder regarding a grow level some bats won't grown or grow one of ten cities you build. That's by far the bigger challenge - having a well distributed plugin folder, so each grow level is represented in a reasonable way. Or you make them eyecandy and ploppable. Especially such beauties. Wo would want to wait years for them to show up? Patience is a a virtue, shure, but at a certain point this starts to become torture. All these beautiful things - every week new. More than 22.000 downloads on the STEX!! So, yes, we have to accept, to plopp them to see them is the only painless way. It's smiply too much content to let it grow. Now I ran off topic. Silly old storymaker ... sorry. Better stop my litanies here.

Thank you, @ST staff, keeping the gems alive. Quite some years ago I wrote somewhere those sc4 sites they more and more will become "museums" regarding custom content. Wasn't I right? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In early 19th century british and german archeologist went to aegypt and took away everything to british and german museums. No one asked about ownership. But by this time no one gave a penny to those treasures lying in the sand. I strongly believe there is private property that during the years becomes public property - by the reason public ist the only one to care about it. Like so many books. Long abandoned by their writers. If there weren't places to keep and maintain those books they all were long lost in the depth of time.

If it did only put nightlights on bats it would be handy. It's not that intelligent as I thought or - let's put it this way: sometimes it's hard to separate "creativity" from cluelessness. It can f.e. do wonders on rescaling images and add pixels to a well organized mass of pixels. But if you prompt to make a pictures on it's own - figures with two mouths, wrong placed lips or seven fingers on one hand and three on the other - well nonsense - occur pretty often. They call it "creativity" anyway. But as a teacher I assure you, if children in our school would show this kind of "creativity" in class as AI often does ... well, we wouldn't wait too long, to check the background, the linving circumstances at home and the parents of such "creative" kids. To my little knowledge about AI it's all about training and education. So we only had to make shure, you give it Jasoncw, art128, Schriefer, gutterclub as KI-teachers and keep me as far away from it as possible. The rest should be easy. -
I'm so old, rencently I got a letter from the lokal natural history museum asking if I would gently pass over my bones to them.

If I remember correctly his wonderful Alexander Column was one of the first bats I downloaded here at the Exchange. And it is still in my download folder. His creations will stay with us and so memory.
