The Pennsylvania Convention Center combines historic preservation and architectural innovation with state-of-the-art technology, making it one of the most adaptable, high-tech convention centers in the nation. And, its convenient Center City location means meeting here couldn’t be easier.Located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, this is one of the few convention centers designed to be uniquely woven into the city’s landscape. Within a short, safe and scenic walk, visitors have access to literally hundreds of restaurants, shops, cultural institutions, attractions, and other downtown amenities, not to mention 8,500 hotel rooms.Inside, the Convention Center is strictly 21st Century. The meeting facilities and technology are state-of-the-art. And you’ll find the ambiance and amenities are hotel-like in both scope and quality. The soaring Grand Hall and Ballroom occupy the historic Reading Terminal train shed. And the Reading Terminal Market on the ground level has been cleverly incorporated into the design, allowing modern-day visitors to shop there, just as they have been doing since 1892.

Welcome to Big Bend, an urban area on the Deux Feuilles River, somewhere in the Midwestern US. The 1st installment will be a quick tour of the central business district. Downtown Big Bend was laid out in the late 1890s, It was placed far enough back from the river to avoid the frequent flooding, but close enough to still permit easy transportation of goods to the riverboats. The central business district is surrounded by railroad and expressways. The railroads lead to the 2 central stations. Prior to the AMTRAK era both stations served long distance passenger trains for different railway companies. AMTRAK moved everything into Central Station on the south side of downtown. Afterwards the other station, LaFayette Street Station, sat empty until the mid 90s. In the mid 90s, following massive investment following the discovery of large low sulphur coal deposits to the north, the local government retasked the old station into a new commuter rail hub using high speed trainsets from Europe. Some of the old viaduct structure that fed into the station from the original rail network still stand as removal would be prohibitively costly. At the very center of town is Memorial plaza Downtown has expanded to the south steadily in the last few decades, this area was once all low rise apartment buildings Coming next will be an overview of the regional transit and rail networks.
  9. 3 weeks ago i created a City Named Midnight city. I was going to Make a CJ out of it. BUT! My computer crashed and i didn't save the game like a fool. The West Beach Neighborhood of Midnight city Located in the Northwestern part of the city. Zoning of the West Side I had plans to Build this city off Bethlehem PA and Allentown PA Bethlehem PA Allentown PA Thank you for seeing this short lived CJ of a city that eruptly ended. Stay tuned for My CJ on the Republic of Parkland. And yes i will save this time!
  10. Hello from the town of Malorna! This town is based at the tip of a busy city that never sleeps on one of the many islands in the imaginary region of the "Isles Of Muron" . The regions economy survives on three main factors: Oil which the region is rich in, a major river splitting up the land into loads of islands (hence 'Isles' in the regions name) and tourism. Without those factors, the economy will most probably collapse. So, you have now entered the town by highway. I'm sure you've found it easy to get here, this town isn't very popular and the streets and the highways lack the traffic you'd find in the other cities of the region. If you get off the highway on the first two ramps, you'll end up on the avenue entering the residential zone. Few shops line this area, as most jobs in this town are in the industry business. I also have a photo, taken a few decades back. Believe it or not, the area hasn't changed since. The only difference is the highway behind the buildings in the north. The school in the bottom left of the photo, is also exactly the same today, except they've just recently added another story to the school, to accommodate with the demands of the residents nearby. Further into the residential area, you will end up seeing the little church of St.Patrick. This church was build 40 years ago, when the old church was destroyed by a fire. If you keep on going north, you will eventually reach another avenue. There then is a street, which if you take will lead you to the cities fire station. Firemen stay on the alert 24/7 to make sure that the city is 100% fire proof. And, now we have also entered the industrial zone. In the beginning one could find high tech industries. You could also see the few high-rise buildings, the main headquarters of the internet company on this island. Moving more north, you can also find the police headquarters, officers take shifts and make sure the town is safe for everyone to enjoy. People feel safe in their homes and towns, nobody should have that safety taken away from them which is why the police force do everything they can to make sure the town is perfect. Opposite the headquarters, is the main train station of the town. Moving further north, you will end up in the manufacturing industry. We can now conclude our tour over here. The last thing I would like to show you, is the harbor and the free port. Ships and boats come and go with exported and imported goods. One of our main exports, is the fish. The region here is a rich fishing area. The harbor was built for this purpose however, the people take care when fishing to make sure, that they catch the right amount. Over fishing has never been reported in this region, and that's a thing we're proud of. Thanks for stopping by! Our next tour will be in one of the main cities, on a different island in the region. See you next time!

  17. Wenatchee Ridge Population: 8,019 Incorporated: 1973 County: Joseph County Map Location: ABOUT TOWN: Known for being "almost" the halfway point between Monitor and Republic, Wenatchee Ridge is a little getaway on the verge of dry country. The small community has sprouted around gas stations and now a small commercial core to keep the residents happy. The town has a reputation for their views over Joseph County, hence the name, "Wenatchee Ridge." The town is located on a ridge that overlooks large portions of the county and the Apache River far below. While still located in western Joseph County, which is considered green land, the town is just a stone throws toss from scrublands. The summers here are hot, and the area receives far less rain then much of the state. The Chase Mountains provide a lovely snow capped framing for the town if looking at it from the east, towards the west. The main town is sprawled out along the highway with all the amenities that locals need including the ever growing retirement and time share community, benefiting from the warmer weather. Also an arts community is begin to grow, and embrace native culture. The town is adorned in native art, even on streetlights. Downtown has community favorites including a local diner, a few gas stations, a grocery store, McDonalds, and other smaller businesses. Many are predicting that Wenatchee Ridge will see increased growth within the next twenty years, and possibly becoming one of the top three biggest towns in the county. New housing is being built around the town, especially along the ridge. A big portion of the residents in Wenatchee Ridge are wealthy and there are many nice homes around the town. Vacation homes dot the townscape and there are many full time residents as well. The town has a elementary school and a high school, as well as a private school. Numerous churches dot the town. Wenatchee Ridge has a municipal police station that serves the community. There is a division called the "Senior Patrol" which attracts many retired seniors to drive around in marked patrol cars and do crime prevention. They also will provide extra security at schools and town events. A fire station is also located in town with a few full time employee's and volunteers. Located in town is also a medical clinic. It is not uncommon to see wildlife roam the streets of Wenatchee Ridge, as it has kept a nature friendly charm, but with the recent growth and expected growth, will the town be able to still pride itself to being one infused with nature? Only time will be able to tell, as Wenatchee Ridge has big hopes to fulfill. LOCATION: Wenatchee Ridge is more dry then nearby Chane and Northwood Counties by a long ways. It falls within the rain shadow of nearby Chase mountains to the west. It is located south of Monitor and northwest of Republic. The Apache River is located down the ridge from town and is to the east. HISTORY: A far more recent community, Wenatchee Ridge was not settled until the 1930s. A few businesses opened shop alongside the newly built highway and soon a few homes followed. It was not until 1973 that Wenatchee Ridge was incorporated. ATTRACTIONS: The Apache River and 290 days of sunshine a year. Warm temperatures during the summer months and nearby to other attractions. Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (Looking west over Wenatchee Ridge.) Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (Looking south over town.) Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (The commercial heart of Wenatchee Ridge has been growing in recent years.) Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (Some commercial buildings separate from downtown at the south end of town when entering from the highway.) Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (Some homes and condos on the edge of Wenatchee Ridge with great views of the Apache River some 400 feet below. There is a large elevation change.) Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (Ridge High School is located in Wenatchee Ridge.) Wenatchee Ridge, Everson State (AJM SC4) (The main intersection in Wenatchee Ridge. Recent plans are calling for a road widening and re-zoning for mixed use development to create a "village" feel at the base of the Chase Mountains. Possible perfect idea being right next to the mountains and Apache River.)

Scene1: 4:50 Yesterday's storm left quite a mess along the beach of Dawu's Eastside district. A group of people seems to be awake already and meet up at the small food curt next to the beach. But most still sleep while the blocks slowly dive out of the fog.... Scene2: 5:05 The first fish trawlers leave the small habour while the 4:55 Kodama seems a little late crossing the border bridge.
