  2. Hi everybody! I have a problem making diagonal lots for the community. The fact is that when a ploppable lot is put in the city, the diagonal streets or avenues round on it make green squares on it. Look at the example: I tried to solve it zoning the squares around with medium or high density commercial areas. And it showed like this: On the other hand i made and rendered a very flat BAT emulating street sidewalk (a ploppable one) with the same texture but i don't like the final look too much for many reasons ( ground texture is flexible with terrain irregularities but no a prop emulating ground texture): The problem appears when i don't want to zone anything around it. My question is: How can i make ploppable lots to look like growables ones in regard to street, avenues ,etc. effect? @Tarkus @Haljackey @rsc204 @Lucario Boricua @CorinaMarie@Cyclone Boom @rivit I mean, i want the streets round my ploppable lot look like if they were growable high or medium density ( with no green spaces between the lot and the street) Thanks lovely people, it will help to improve lots that I'm working on!

Hello I am currently creating a T21 mod for REW that will allow lights on the road without requiring zoning however they are all conflicting with each other and I'm getting around this issue by dat packing however I'm unsure if there's a better way as this is my first time creating a T21 mod the 3 dats are in the post so please let me know if I did something wrong. I just tried dat packing OWR 2 into SimCity_1.dat and that failed to solve the conflicts with dat packed OWR 1 and 3 OWRT21.zip
  4. I really like trees made by Girafe. I use them almost exclusively. I relot almost everything. I use a mod to get rid of the maxis trees on lots and exchange them to Girafes. I have them in the street side mod I'm using. The tree controller is full of them. And im going for evergreen, not seasonal. Now there are a couple of mods by 958517907 I like. But the trees are not by Girafe... How do I fix that? I want his evergreen trees on these networks. I have never tried to mocify T21's before so I'm kind of newbe. What do I do and how do I do that? It sucks being a control freak...

    This mod adds lights and barriers onto the RHW networks. At present that means only the regular basic straight segments of RHW will see lights, barriers or both, options selectable within the mod. You can also install this mod on a per-network basis, as the files have been split by network. I did have to merge the RHW 6S / 8S / 10S / 12S and 6C / 7C / 8C networks together, because they both use shared-medians. Installation Inside the .zip file download, you will find the mod in the zRHW LB Mod folder, this should be copied as-is from the .zip file into your Plugins folder. Please, if you must rename this folder, before asking for help at least try using the default folder name, which will work for NAM 37 and later users. If you are using NAM 36 or older (must be a version with RHW 4.0 or newer to work), you may need to rename the folder so it loads after z___NAM. Just add 3 underscores in this case and it will work as intended. After copying the folder, remove from it all the files you do not need. Ensure you also keep one or none of the files in the LRMUSL Support folder. Please refer to the included documentation for further details, I recommend placing the Readme and _images folder (containing it's pictures) into the following location: My Documents\SimCity 4\LEX_Downloads\MGB Mods This is to avoid cluttering up your Plugins folders with non-SC4 files. Usage Once installed, the selected options will appear when you draw new RHW networks. Existing RHW must be manually refreshed, by re-dragging or clicking on sections to update them with the newly installed T21s. Dependencies / Compatibility There are no actual dependencies for this mod, since you can use it with the original Maxis lighting, although you will need the RHW from the NAM to see them. Optional (Recommended) either: USL (Uniform Streetlighting Mod) by kodlovag One of the following LRM v5 (Light Replacement Mod) releases by Mandelsoft: Belgium Commie Dutch German Imaginian SimCity 2013 Swedish UK USA This mod has been designed to work with any of the 6 light colour variants of USL, or the 9 different variants of the LRM v5 listed above.   6. Hi. Since I installed NAM39 all the NWM related street trees mods are missing. When i put them back again into the NAM folder they still don't show in the game. For example'NWM AVE-2 T21 Tree lined road' does not show any more and also the mod for the OWR-1. Is it because I put them in the wrong place and where do I put them to work?

So, I've recently found a conflict in my plugins, and it is related to Jacku's NWM Ave-2 T21 Mod here; https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/26842-nwm-ave-2-t21-tree-lined-road/ The conflict I run into comes with the LRM (light replacement mod) . Aparently these two cannot co-exist. (Problem also happens when Tariel-Rivit's Essentials is present, because this also contains the LRM override) Does anyone know if there is a way to modify Jacku's mod so that it works even when LRM is present??
  8. I'm trying to figure out how to modify the trees that show up with JRJ SAM Street Side Trees mod. So far I've opened the DAT file in Reader, is it possible to just modify specific exemplars to point to a different prop, or is it more complicated than that?
  9. I use NAM 34 ; the roundabouts don't look like the pictures in the folder (and no trees grow there) Does this mod (dating 2014) still works with the more recent NAMs ?

Okay, so I recently updated my rail network with the RRW included in the new NAM and as a rail lover I truly enjoy the increased flexibility it has over maxis rail - praise goes to NAM team for their endless efforts. Nevertheless, I'm a bit bugged by a little cosmetic problem, that is wealthification. Basically, I'd like to have different rail textures and sidewalk to show in my high density zones and so far I figured out how to trigger the sidewalks when zoning hd which is good, but can't find how to change the rail texture itself. I gather this is probably because the RRW has some model-based bits thus wealthification/texture modification wouldn't work the same way. The only workaround I could find is to use T21s and "cover" the hd-zoned parts of the network with props but the result isn't very satisfying - unless land under the network is perfectly flat - which almost never happens of course. I have a hunch that some other possibility can be exploited to fix this... Anyone can shed the light? Thanx

    This mod was made to provide more safety to the sims on your RHW. It places guardrails combined with reflector poles on networks in the countryside. And guardrails combined with more guardrails in (sub-)urban areas. I reccomend you put this mod in the z__NAM folder. If you would like the reflector poles to appear you should download: Girafe's French Road Signs: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2576 The guardrail props are included. credits: This mod was inspired by a similar mod which placed guardrails on a few RHW networks but unfortunately isn't compatible with the new NAM Network ID's. Sadly I can't remember the author and I cannot find it on the STEX anymore. The models for the guardrails are made by "Snelwegfreak" and can be found in the sketchup 3dwarehouse. This mod would not have been possible without the NAM team, and the SC4 community that taught me everything I now about modding this game. enjoy!

    Hello everybody! Please take some time to read this description! I know it is long but I promise it'll be WORTHWHILE. This mod automatically adds roadside decoration to Maxis roads in the game (so it doesn't affect streets, avenues, OWR, NWM, RHW, etc.). In additional to other details, it adds trees and bike parking to roads adjacent to commercial zones or ploppables, and car parking to residential or industrial zones. I carefully modeled it after the real life roadsides in Berlin but it should look great in any city. It is really beautiful but it has a lot of dependencies. So please go through them one by one (all the url links are up to date) and make sure you have all of them in your plugin folder. Each one of them provides one or more items for the mod (trees/ lamps/ parking meters/ etc.), so if a dependency is missing its corresponding items would be missing in the game, but the mod would otherwise function properly. Nevertheless, the download and installation of all dependencies listed are highly recommended. ALSO JUST A NOTE, even though sandstone and euro textures are in the screenshots provided above, they have absolutely nothing to do with this mod. The game has been out for more than a decade but it is still as great as ever. I don't know for how long it is still going to stay in the spotlight and I know even the most devoted players couldn't play it forever. But I'm sure SimCity will always be a memory to cherish and a game to revisit and reexperience time and again. So for this reason let's keep both STEX and LEX well and alive.     Here is the SAM1 override - a little mod that will reskin your SAM 1 textures and display new props for your greater pleasure! A small variation willl occur on some textures and props (as can be seen on screenshots), depending of zoning. Not much else to say, but keep in mind that SAM 1, despite how it looks, does not have parking functionality: it's only purpose is eye-candy. UPDATE 1.1 A fellow member brought to my attention a problem with the plugin - possibly due to the use of HD props and its incompatibility with software mode. For those who use software rendering and/or prefer to use SD props, a new iteration of the SAM 1 override has been created. The mod is now divided in 2 distinct folders: one for HD, one for SD. Please only use one at a time. What's in the packs?     Here is a little T21 mod that will add seasonal flora (mostly trees) on your street and road roundabouts. Flora will show only when the roundabout is zoned, and if it was built prior to the present mod installation, you'll have to click with the street tool to trigger flora. Note that there are 4 different instances of trees for Residential & Commercial §§-§§§ and 2 different instances of flora for Industrial and Low-wealth R & C. You can "cycle" through the various instances by clicking on the street tool, but the selection will be totally random. Please allow some time for the flora to appear, as it's seasonal. Res & Com §§-§§§: chestnut, maple, ash, aesculus Ind & Low wealth Res Com: bushes (2 slightly different types). Installation Anywhere in your plugins, but the mod must load after the NAM as some exemplars share the same ID.     Maxis-Styled AVE-6 Median Pack By GDO29Anagram (Ganaram DI) This is essentially a pack of AVE-6 Median T21s. There are a total of 15 different T21s in this pack, one for each wealth and density level for Residential and Commercial, plus one for Industrial, and one with just the lights, as well as non-light versions of each (except for the "Just-The-Light" version). IMPORTANT!!! Due to the T21 limitations imposed on the triple-tile nature of the AVE-6's median, none of the props can be zone-dependent; They have to be "turned on" the whole time. And I didn't want to go with a single "one-size-fits-all" solution, so I offered every type so that the user can decide which one to use to their desire. In other words, you can only use one of the T21 DATs, but you're also free to switch one for another one if you so desire. Installation: Place the folder "z AVE-6 AVE-8 T21" into your plugins folder, then enter the folder itself. Select one of the DATs you want to use, then delete/remove the rest. Uninstallation: Remove the folder "z AVE-6 AVE-8 T21" and everything in it. Dependencies: NAM 30 or above, and NWM 2.0 or above. Please read the enclosed readme for more details.     The RHW as is does not have any lights or barriers execpt a barrier on the 6-C, so i made this mod for anyone that thinks that its needed. This mod will add lights and barriers to all the RHW netowrks currently avaible in 3.0 using T21s. The option you choose will always be there and is not lot based File Content There are three files to choose from: * Just Barriers - zzz_RHWBarriers.dat * Just Lights - zzz_RHWSteetLights.dat * Lights and Barriers- zzz_RHWBoth.dat To see a full overview of what RHWs will look like with each file click here. Insatallation and Notes The Mod uses default maxis props. They light up at night but only if they are powered. To Install just put the file of your choice into your Rural Highway folder. You can only use one file at a time, this includes the High Mast Lighting mod i released earlier. Due to a glitch that is not yet solved with T21s, the barriers and lights might not show up on preexisting RHW networks. To fix that, just click on the RHW with your RHW tool, and they will show up.     With the updated release of the NAM , I am updating this mod to include the new FAR pieces as well as to re-do the avenue curves , and fix the props not showing on all rotations problem. *****Important****** If you have downloaded my other T-21 mods , please delete them as they are obsolete. This download contains both mods in one. This mod will give you trees and lights on the avenue curves as well as the road curves and FAR pieces.
