  1. TL-Obelisk Place

    Version 1.0.2

TL-Obelisk Place 4x5 (seasonal) This one is all my own – but couldn’t have been without Vnaoned beautiful obelisk. And it is for Dreadnought, who loves the Needle. (Bonus : it can be combined with several other of my parks and plazas using the same pavement texture). Many thanks to my technical gurus, Rsc204, Kosc and Dreadnought. And especially Rivit, who lighted my SC4world. Also the willing victims of the beta-tests, RobertLM78, Handyman and, again, Dreadnought. And the guys and gals on the forums (Twalsh, Matias93, Fantozzi…). We need help when we begin sneaking a peek under the hood of SC4. That the community is always willing to lend a hand is a constant and pleasant reassurance for us noobies. __________________ Stats : Plopcost : 500 (come on, all that water, and all those trees ?) 3. MGB - MMP Pack Vol2

    Version 1.0.0

Girafe made many tree models that either work only as props, or only as MMPs. As such, this pack of MMPs is designed to bolster your MMP menu, with some trees that otherwise could only be used on lots. Each of the 7 included MMPs include only single-tree props. Girafe's releases only cover these tree types with tree clusters. Contained in the included zip are 3 files containing 7 MMPs as follows (links to dependencies here): Maples (Seasonal) - Maples (v1) - Norway Maples Misc (Seasonal) - Ash - Beech - Birch - Liden Parasol Pines (Evergreen) - Parasol Pines Note: Before you think "I have these files", it should be noted, that the tree models for each of the listed dependencies is found in the "LE" dats from Girafe's packages. If you have not installed these exact files, you will get brown boxes. Find these items in the same location as the original MMPs. They are marked "singles" and include a brighter blue icon to distinguish them more easily. Note that there are some trees which are duplicates of single trees included with the original MMPs. But in all, this adds over 30 new trees which were previously not MMP-able. Setup_ODM-2.exe
  4. Sherwood - intro

Mayor: Wournos I Residents: >3200 Commercial: >7000 Industry: >2200 Funds: >300000 City area: Small Overview Sherwood is a forest and flora city. It has medium density residential with medium commercial zones away from the city center, and high density commercial along the central avenue. High-tech industry coats the edges to fill the need in Residential Evil. Flora and fauna is a big thing in Sherwood and the city has undergone three changes so far. Initially, the trees were quite bland but after mayor Wournos I came across seasonal flora and had her landscaping artists do their work, the city flourished. However, the economic advisors failed to announce the forest had an upkeep of §1-2 depending on what was planted, so it had to be demolished in favour of positive numbers. Currently, the landscaping artists are planting a mix of tall seasonal flora such as aesculus and birches, and non-seasonal flora such as juniper and broad-leaf trees. Sherwood is connected to Residential Evil by avenue and rail, and Watergate West by rail only. Neighbour deals Water: bought from Residential Evil In the pipeline Cut down palms from sidewalks Extend flora and fauna Evaluate replacement of rail stations Rail freight yard
  5. R-50/150 Corridor, Nyhaven

From the album NAM Showcase - Monthly Challenge #5

Full-size mosaic here This picture shows the R-50/R-150 corridor, from Cathlamet to the suburbs east of Midtown. As part of the efforts to extend the R-150 to the north, it has been separated from the R-50 mainline. The interchange between the two highways has also been redesigned to eliminate left-hand exits from the R-50, while still allowing traffic to flow in every direction. Now, the R-150 serves as a sort of "express lane" option to the busy R-50, with no exits of its own to surface streets (although a new interchange at 24th Street, near the top of the image, is under discussion).

  6. Seasonal Wood Lots (Girafe's Trees)

    Version 3

Short description: This plugin contains 24 lots with seasonally changing woods, based on the seasonally changing trees by girafe. Like other lots, they can be found in the park menu. Plop and demolition cost are kept low, and they don’t charge monthly costs. They have a low park effect and slightly reduce air and water pollution. I’ve furthermore tried to create tree combinations corresponding to the most common forest combination in central Europe. Since I’m using prop families, there shouldn’t be any repetitive tree patterns in the trees. There are 3 lot sizes; 1x1 can be used in any small gap in your city, 4x1 can be used for long gaps (such as between farm fields) and with the 4x4 lot, you should be able to fill even a large space with trees pretty fast. All lots don’t have any base texture and can therefore be combined with any terrain mod. They don’t trigger the infamous transparent textures bug. For further information and more screenshots, please refer to the readme file in the download. Dependencies: BSC – VIP Girafe Trees: These links contain all of the trees required for these woods and introduce MMP trees for your mayor mode menu. You need to download every kind of tree separately; fortunately, installation is easy and you won’t end up with a game menu stuffed with buttons that you won’t need anymore. - Maple: There are two plugins containing maple trees, I couldn’t figure out which one you need in particular (it’s surely one of those two). http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2614 http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2809 - Birch: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2620 - Beech: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2995 - Ash: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2854 - Common Spruce: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2945 - Chestnut: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3049 - Linden: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2869 - Conifer: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2698 - Norway Maple: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2740 Note: To make the MMP trees being displayed properly, you need to download Seasonal Flora Patch. It is highly recommended, albeit not mandatory for the Seasonal Woods set. http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2612 Note: You must be registered at sc4devotion.com to download the dependencies mentioned above. Stonehenge: Made by Maxis. Required for the rocks in the woods. Adds the Celtic landmark to the game. (No registration is required; however, the homepage is in German. The download link is at the bottom of the plugin description.) http://www.simcityplaza.de/index.php/tools-und-andere-downloads/maxis-landmarks/file/1312-stonehenge?start=10 Currently available languages: - English - German Installation: Download the archive corresponding to the language you want. Extract all files to a folder where you will find them. Move or copy this folder into your Plugins sub-folder of your edition of SimCity 4 (for instance: C:/Programs/Maxis/SimCity 4/Plugins). You can simply overwrite any previous version of this plugin with the new files. To uninstall, please delete all files from your plugin subfolder. If there are some lots that you won’t use, you may want to open the plugin folder and delete the corresponding files (every lot has its own file). Note, if you have already been using Version 1: I've reduced the number of trees in the subsequently mentioned forests: Chestnut, Conifer Evergreen, and Conifer Seasonal. You don't need to bulldoze all of these forests before installing any version higher than 1. However, to reflect the changes in game, you need to bulldoze the forests and build them again. This plugin comes in several languages. Please look into the folder “Languages“ and manually delete all files except the one with the language you want to have displayed as game text (e.g. for English: GSW_Description_English). Compatibility: This plugin should be compatible with all versions of SimCity 4. If not, please write me a comment so I can change this note. Credits: - Girafe for the trees that are making this plugin possible in the first place, and for the permission to duplicate and regroup the props. Contact: You are of course welcome to write me a private message or leave a comment here for any of the following: - You want me to make improvements or additions. (I can't promise to fulfill all your wishes, I'm really no modding expert ) - You have found a bug. - You want me to improve the readme text (the English one in particular, my English may not be perfect). - You can translate the in-game and readme texts to another language. - You found out that I forgot to credit someone (hopefully I can remember everyone). - For any other kind of constructive feedback. Changelog: Version 3, March 14th, 2015: - Added 4x1 lot size for all kinds of forests Version 2, Aug 31st, 2014: - Reduced number of trees on the subsequently mentioned forests: Chestnut, Conifer Evergreen, Conifer Seasonal Version 1, July 16th, 2014: - Base version with 16 wood lots released
  7. Trees on roundabouts

    Version 0.9

Here is a little T21 mod that will add seasonal flora (mostly trees) on your street and road roundabouts. Flora will show only when the roundabout is zoned, and if it was built prior to the present mod installation, you'll have to click with the street tool to trigger flora. Note that there are 4 different instances of trees for Residential & Commercial §§-§§§ and 2 different instances of flora for Industrial and Low-wealth R & C. You can "cycle" through the various instances by clicking on the street tool, but the selection will be totally random. Please allow some time for the flora to appear, as it's seasonal. Res & Com §§-§§§: chestnut, maple, ash, aesculus Ind & Low wealth Res Com: bushes (2 slightly different types). Installation Anywhere in your plugins, but the mod must load after the NAM as some exemplars share the same ID. Uninstallation Remove the mod from the plugins folder and click on the roundabouts where there's flora with the street tool to revert. Dependencies BSC - VIP girafe ashes (only the LE file is needed) BSC - VIP girafe chestnuts (v1.0) VIP orange aesculus BSC - VIP girafe maples v2 (v1.0) (only the LE file is needed) BSC - VIP girafe bushes (v1.0) This mod is still in beta stage Suggestions or Problems with this mod: report here please
  8. Filler #2: Four Seasons

Today just a quick low quality filler. I tried to make a "Four Seasons" theme, but without a snow mod and a seasonal building it's quite pointless. The watermill is the "Summerton Mill" available on the LEX. Spring: Summer: Fall: Winter: There isn't also enough difference between spring and summer in my opinion. I just wanted to show you something till nextweekend. Have a nice eveni....wait, it isn't in the evening already....have a nice afternoon though guys. Replies Huston: At first, thanks for the complimets. And yeah I really should have done that, though I downloaded much BAT's they never grow as much as I want, but I don't have enough custum content to use the Maxis WHI stop mod again. I don't know how I should fill, for example the location in the first picture of the last entry, just with landmarks. But at all, you're absolutely right, the same bildings are there way too often.
  9. Version 1.2

My first upload ever This is a mod I made quite a long time ago. I had been playing it for several months, until I noticed that it is really nice – so nice, that I just can’t go on keeping it for my own usage only. So today I share it with you and hope that you’ll find it nice as well. The mod contains more than 1100 relotted Maxis lots – residential and commercial of all stages with seasonal trees insted of Maxis flora. Not only flora was replaced – for some of lots I changed textures, so that they look smooth when base-texture replacement plugin from Sudden Valley TM is used. I also decreased the number of lights on some lots, to make them less overlighted with using the Light Replacement mods, and made some other minor changes like adding crowds and beautiful fences. Installation: Extract the pack to your …\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\ folder. Simple as always. The seasonal trees will appear on new growing lots. The lots that grew before the installation will stay unchanged, so you’ll have to choose whether to demolish them or to wait until they eventually get rebuilt. Compatibility: I wouldn’t recommend you to use it along with other mods that contain Maxis lots with same names – like pc whiz24’s Realism Mods and others, since the files may interrupt with each other and the mods will not work correctly. Dependencies: Surely, first of all you’ll need the trees: BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01 BSC MEGA Props CP Vol 02 BSC - VIP girafe common spruces Optional: These are packs you should have if you want to see fences on some R$$$ lots. There are very few of them though (something like 3 or 4…) so if you haven’t got them – don’t bother, it will look good without them. BSC MEGA Props - MJB Vol01 BSCMegaProps jestarr Vol02 BSCBATProps KWK Vol04 Changes in Version 1.1 1) An error causing WTC lots to appear in the landmark menu was fixed and the whole archive was DAT-packed in one file, so now it takes much less place. Big thanks to ArchangelMichael for this work. 2) A CAM-patible version of the modd was added. Big thanks to jodonnell for this and begging pardon for such a long time (a year) of not posting it here - I had completely forgotten about it Changes in Version 1.2 Same error with WTC in CAM-version was fixed. Big thanks to ArchangelMichael for that.
  10. VIP RuralPack

This pack contains seasonal plopables plant, and various decorative elements for your landscape. The seasonal props has the S logo. Note: For fitting with other seasonal items, props need to be planted the 1st September. We do not recommand you to use seasonal trees on growable LOTs. Important EDIT: If you download this modd before September 27th 13:00 (GMT +1) you can re-download to get all the icons The Pack are included: Corylus seasonal Narcissus seasonal Populus seasonal 2 pampa grass Iris pseudacorus seasonal Pteridum Aquilinum seasonal Sarothamnus scoparius seasonal Nymphaea Potamogeton natans 2 Arundo donax Mossy Rock Kayaks Boats Bathers and Fishermen Cows and cow dung Chicken Heron The Plopable props are found near the end of the Mayor Mode Flora menu. DEPENDENCIES Important There is one dependency concerning the flora tuning parameters: Seasonal Flora Patch for All Terrain Mods INSTALLATION Auto Installation: Double-click the installer file to start the installation. The program will guide you through the process. You can change the default installation path, but we strongly suggest to keep the standard folder in order to make future updates and additions easier. MAC Users: File Juicer should enable you to use this installer package. If it's ZIP archive it is necessary to make the same manipulation that during installation manual (see above). 11. Version

Now available for use with the PEG Snow Mod, this patch for the PEG Seasonal Woods will force the seasonal trees to remain in their winter state all year long. So, as long as you have the Snow Mod installed and are enjoying your Sim Winter Wonderland, your Seasonal Woods will now match the cold, snowy terrain. Just like the Snow Mod, when you are ready for springtime once again, just remove the mod and everything in the game returns to normal. By default, this mod is installed to the same folder as the Snow Mod, so simply moving that one folder out of your Plugins will uninstall all related Snow mods. ** This lot requires installation of the PEG Seasonal Woods and is designed for use with the PEG Snow Mod. **This file currently contains an .exe installer suitable for windows users. These files are in the process of being updated with zip files and this message will be removed once the update is complete. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

4 trees which change with seasons. As they got a concrete base at the bottom, they are especially designed for street use. They're also night-enlighted, so don't place them across the lot limit in the LotEditor (they would lose their nitelight in the game). Don't worry: there will be no tree on your lot before the next season swap: it's normal. In the LE, stack together at the same place: [PK-tree01-fall] + [PK-tree01-winter] + [PK-tree01-summer] + [Pk-leaves-street] [PK-tree02-fall] + [PK-tree02-winter] + [PK-tree02-summer] + [Pk-leaves-street] and so on... Enjoy!
  13. PEG Seasonal Lot

Unlike any other lot you've seen, this lot changes both in appearance and function... and is actually 3 lots in one! The new Seasonal Lot is a lot that changes through the year. It essentially is the classic empty lot suitable for urban areas, out in the burps... or way out in the stix. But this lot also serves a commercial function... It starts the year as an ordinary empty dirt lot. In late January, the workers show up and prepare the lot for the upcoming Farmer's Market. In early February, the banners appear hyping the new market. A few weeks later, pallets and trash bins can be seen heralding the opening of the market... and in early March the tents go up and the Farmer's Market is open for business. In early November, the tents come down to make room for the Christmas Tree lot. Over the next few weeks, the lot is cleared and new banners are put up. In early December, the lights are strung, the trees arrive and we're ready to go out and pick our tree. After Christmas, the trees are gone... the lights come down... and a few weeks later someone gets around to taking down the banners. The workers show up to prep for the Farmers Market...and the cycle repeats... The lot is a low wealth commercial property. It provides a handful of C$ jobs as well as generating some income from the leases to the market and tree lot. Its a ploppable 2x2 lot that also offers some park-like benefits stemming from the popularity of the Farmer's Market. dependencies: PEG Christmas Development Kit * The lot is transit enabled for appearances only. The parking area can be connected to your traffic network using streets. If plopped facing existing roads, etc... it will connect automatically. * Depending on the time of year that the lot is plopped, the Farmer's Market and/or Christmas Tree lot may not develop until the following year. Like the Seasonal Trees, the various props used will not appear that year if plopped after their trigger dates.. This lot requires the following dependency: PEG Christmas Development Kit **This file currently contains an .exe installer suitable for windows users. These files are in the process of being updated with zip files and this message will be removed once the update is complete. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. To all of you from all the members and staff at Pegasus Productions... Have a very, merry Holiday and a wonderful New Year!
  14. Version

The PEG Seasonal Trail Parks are very similar to the normal trail parks with one major exception; seasonal trees. Where the original style of trail park was designed to blend with the PEG Random Woods lots and the game's default trees... the Seasonal Trail Parks are designed to compliment the PEG Seasonal Woods. These new parks feature BAT modeled pathways that replace the old textured paths. This means that the paths now show while you are plopping the lots. This makes them much easier to use. ** There are no Plaza or Snack Bar lots included in this style as the ones from the normal Trail Parks are interchangeable with this style. **This file currently contains an .exe installer suitable for windows users. These files are in the process of being updated with zip files and this message will be removed once the update is complete. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -Cori Edit: Made mentioned files clickable linkys.
  15. Version

Prepare for the onslaught as hoards of Leafers besiege your city every Fall to take in the beauty of the Autumn leaves. The Seasonal Woods lots are very similar to the PEG Random Woods... except these trees change with the seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall... the trees change to reflect the time of year in your cities. The Seasonal Woods also shuns the game's default "lolly-pop" trees and introduces 18 new BATed trees for greater realism. The Seasonal Woods provides you with a fast & flexible means of adding realistic woodlands to your cities and surrounding rural areas. The Seasonal Woods randomly generates different types of trees as you plop the lot. This eliminates the need of constantly rotating the lot when plopping for a random look... and provides a more natural & realistic look when covering large areas. The Seasonal Woods includes 4 new lots: A 1x1 lot with full ground texture. A 2x2 lot with full ground texture. A 1x1 lot with transparent ground texture. A 2x2 lot with transparent ground texture. The Random Forest is PEG tested & Tree-Hugger approved. Each lot has properties similar to a small green park with slightly improved air pollution qualities. This lot is also 'Slope Conforming' so you can place it almost anywhere. ** This lot was designed for seamless integration with the PEG Trail Parks and the PEG Stream Kit. Obviously, it can be used by itself, singularly or in groups, anywhere in your cities where you need a little flourish of flora. **This file currently contains an .exe installer suitable for windows users. These files are in the process of being updated with zip files and this message will be removed once the update is complete. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Thank You for the Continued Support!

Simtropolis relies mainly on member donations to continue operating. Without your support, we just would not be able to be entering our 15th year online!  You've really help make this a great community.

But we still need your support to stay online. If you're able to, please consider a donation to help us stay up and running, so that we can help keep bringing SimCity players together to share our creations.
