SC4 Season Jumper is a DLL plugin for SimCity 4 that fast-forwards the city simulation to the start of a target season, then pauses the city automatically. It is designed for seasonal-flora workflows, consistent region-view screenshots, and other date-sensitive city-building tasks where you want the simulator to advance normally instead of forcing the date with the SC4ExtraCheatsDLL SimDate cheat (which can introduce bugs in the city statistics). The plugin is mainly aimed at players who use seasonal flora, seasonal props, detailed MMP scenes, or region-view presentation workflows. By letting the game run at its fastest speed until the target date, SC4 Season Jumper avoids the historical-stat issues that can happen when the date is changed directly. It also includes an enabled-by-default fix for a vanilla SimCity 4 bug where seasonal props created during their active season can stay invisible until the next time their start date comes around. The GitHub release v0.2.0 is available at: https://github.com/caspervg/sc4-season-jumper/releases/tag/v0.2.0 Project page: https://github.com/caspervg/sc4-season-jumper Main features Ctrl+F9 hotkey for jumping to the next useful seasonal date From January through August, Ctrl+F9 jumps to September 1 From September through December, Ctrl+F9 jumps to June 1 of the next year Automatically pauses the city when the target date is reached Press Ctrl+F9 again while a jump is running to cancel and pause immediately Cheat commands for jumping to specific seasons Fixes the seasonal prop visibility bug: covers painted props (from SC4Plop-and-Paint), plopped or grown lot props, and 3D prop previews Dependency No dependencies. System Requirements SimCity 4 version 1.1.641.x Windows version of SimCity 4 Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable x86 Installation Close SimCity 4. Copy the included files into your SimCity 4 Plugins root folder: SC4SeasonJumper.dll SC4SeasonJumper.ini SC4SeasonJumper.dat Start SimCity 4 and load a city. Press Ctrl+F9 to start a seasonal jump. Usage instructions Ctrl+F9: jump to the next fall start if the current date is January through August, or to the next summer start if the current date is September through December. Ctrl+F9 while jumping: cancel the jump and pause immediately. Cheat codes are available through the normal cheat dialog: jumpseason: same behavior as Ctrl+F9 jumpspring: jump to the next March 1 jumpsummer: jump to the next June 1 jumpfall: jump to the next September 1 jumpwinter: jump to the next December 1 Configuration The plugin reads settings from SC4SeasonJumper.ini in your Plugins folder. [SC4SeasonJumper] LogLevel=info LogToFile=true ; Fix the vanilla bug where seasonal props placed mid-season stay invisible ; until the next time their start date comes around (set to false to disable). FixSeasonalPropVisibility=true Most players can leave the defaults unchanged. Set FixSeasonalPropVisibility=false only if you specifically want to disable the seasonal prop visibility patch. 3rd party code gzcom-dll - GNU LGPL v2.1 spdlog - MIT License {fmt} - MIT License mINI / pulzed-mini - MIT License Windows Implementation Library - MIT License -

Seasonal flora looks great, but they come with a few drawbacks. For example, most flora needs to be planted on a specific date (often September 1st). If you don't do this, you will get a mix of various seasons. Also, even though a lot of content is available with seasonal flora, as are seasonal tree controllers, you often still end up with a mix of both, which can look a bit awkward. This mod takes a different approach, inspired by @T Wrecks' Non-Seasonal Cycledogg Trees and the Central European Tree Controller. Instead of seasonally changing flora, it ensures that all of the supported flora - both seasonal and evergreen - becomes static and matches the season you picked during installation. As @11241036 said: "After all, we do only need seasonally changing trees for good looks and screenshots." I've decided to call this approach *everseasonal flora*. With this mod you can change seasons independently of the game date. For example, if you're making a fall-themed CJ entry, use the fall version and then change back to summer later on. You could also follow real-life seasons if you want: just change the fall version in September, winter version in December and so on. That way your game matches the true seasons, which can really give a new dynamic to playing the game! Currently, this mod supports the flora & props from the following packages. If there are any other packages that have seasonal flora or props, you can send me a message to make me aware of it. All of Girafe's flora mgb204:mmp-pack-vol2, which makes some of Girafe's trees that were only available as props also available as flora. t-wrecks:maxis-tree-hd-replacement-mod orange:fagus orange:aesculus bsc:mega-props-cp-vol01 bsc:mega-props-cp-vol02 vip:rural-pack 11241036:vip-trees-as-props 11241036:central-european-tree-controller Note that these packages are no hard dependencies, except for t-wrecks:maxis-tree-hd-replacement-mod (see below). "Compatible" means that this mod will affect the appearance of the trees in those packages, but you're free to leave out the ones you don't want or need. Also note that the Central European Tree Controller already has its own way of changing seasons. However, you usually want to change seasons in one pass, so it's undesirable to have to change both the season for this mod and the CETC. Therefore, since v2 of this mod, all you have to do is change seasons with this mod, and then the CETC is automatically affected too. Remember though, if you use the seasonal variant of the CETC, then your trees are under the hood still seasonal, even though they appear static, so as for the other packages, you will still need to plant your trees at September 1st if you intend to disable this mod again! Below is a screenshot of the mod in action on @RRetail Roadside Rest Area, which uses evergreen trees: Installation I strongly recommend installing this mod with the sc4pac Mod Manager. Not only does sc4pac make installation easy, it also makes it easy to switch season by resetting the smf16:everseasonal-flora:season variant. You can do this by going to "Dashboard" > "Variants" If you choose to install this mod manually, then you have to pick ONLY ONE of the five folders. Choose the one labeled for the season of your liking. If you want to change seasons, remove the old folder again, and replace it with the season of your liking. Due to the exemplar patching, there is no requirement to have the mod load after all other mods, so you can put it anywhere you want in your plugins folder. Dependencies This mod uses exemplar patching, which is why it needs null-45:sc4-resource-loading-hooks to work. This is the only hard dependency: you don't need to have all of the flora listed above, the mod will only change what you have installed. However, if you happen to not have t-wrecks:maxis-tree-hd-replacement-mod, then you need to remove the t-wrecks.maxis-tree-hd-replacement-mod.dat file from your chosen season, as otherwise you might have brown boxes. IMPORTANT Please note that this mod DOES NOT convert evergreen props into functioning seasonal props. It will change the appearance of evergreen props, but they will still remain static and stay the same throughout the year. This is because of how seasonal props work: a seasonal prop is just a timed prop, so if you need a seasonal prop for all seasons, you actually have to add 4 timed props to the lot. It also means that, under the hood, seasonal flora is still seasonal, even though it doesn't look like it. This means that if you intend to ever disable this mod again, then you still need to make sure to plant seasonal flora at the required start date! Acknowledgements Many thanks go to @Girafe and @VIP Team for creating the gorgeous trees in the first place, @11241036 for inspiring me to make this mod, and @memo for making exemplar patching possible, which avoids hard dependencies on the flora.- 2 Comments

PHIL Scoty Seasonal Paeng MGB Bikepaths A set of lots that add seasonal flora and path color options overlay texture covers for existing Paeng bikepath lots. This also includes a new additional standalone set that provides the option of having a second color bike path in your city. Why is the name so long you might ask, because so many were involved in getting this project to this point. First we have to thank the original creator of the bike paths Paeng. His Bike Paths with Alley Parks is the basis of these bike paths. Then we have to thank MGB for his update that added Lights and Seasonal Hedges to the Bike Paths along with some additional lots. Though nothing wrong with the bike paths they needed an update and some options to expand the set. In speaking with hugues aroux he agreed to get his minions of cloned Kevins to produce new Scoty textures to update the bike paths. He must have promised them second breakfast because they came up with 4 color options along with new planter overlays. The 4 color options are Red, Green old, Green new, and Blue. Two versions of each were created a cover set and a double set. You can select one color for the covers set and select a different color for the dbl set. Seasonal props from Girafe's Flora Pack were added to the lots along with some small prop adjustments. A set of diagonal lots were also added to expand the pack. Within the download folder you will find two folders the Documents folder, with the read me and pictures, and the PHIL Seasonal Paeng MGB bikepaths folder that contains the lots and textures and is the folder you place in your plugins folder after selecting your options. This folder should be placed in a location that loads After the Paeng and MGB bikepath files, consider adding zz to the front of the folder name. In the PHIL Seasonal Paeng MGB Bikepath folder you will find Two folders: the Cover set and the Double or Dbl set. Within the Cover folder are the Cover set lots folder and the Scoty TexPaths Cover folder. Choose One of the four cover color files in the Scoty Texpaths Cover folder and store the rest out of your plugins folder. This set overrides any existing Paeng and MGB bikepath lots you already may have in your city. It adds 13 additional lots for diagonals that will use the color you picked for the covers. Within the Dbl folder are the Double set lots folder and the Scoty TexPaths Dbl folder. Choose One of the four dbl color files and store the rest out of your plugins folder. This set is a standalone set and can be placed in your city along with the existing original paeng or mgb sets or with the covers set. You can choose a color different from the covers set and have two different bikepath colors in your city. The 13 additional diagonal lots are included in this set as well. Notes: -The covers will work on Paeng's base set of lots, Paeng's SSDP bikepath lots, MGB's Light Project update and it's additional crossover lots, and adds the diagonal lots. -Each set has their own new icons for the game menu. -The cover set is not a dependency of the dbl set however all original dependencies are still dependencies for the dbl set. -No Kevins were harmed in the making of these textures, that one Kevin that fell in the ink well was on a different project. -The lots can be found in the Misc transportation menu like the originals. -There are slight variations to prop layout on some lots between the cover and dbl set but most follow the same layout. -All lots will adjust to your sidewalk mod. -Other than the Functional Bustop and Parking Ends these lots do not have additional functions, they do not function like pedmalls. Dependencies: Req - Original Paeng Base Set - Paeng's Bicycle Paths with Alley Parks Req - MGB Light Update Set - MGB-LP Paeng Bike Paths Req - Paengs SSDP - Paeng's StreetSide Diagonal Parking (SSDP) Req - Murimk Bikes - Murimk Bicycle props Req - Porkie Props vol 1 - JENX-Porkie Expanded Porkie Props Req - Girafe Seasonal Flora - SC4D LEX LEGACY - BSC VIP Girafe Flora Pack Opt - SimPegOrientationTool - SPOT Req Props from SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack: Props - BSC MEGA Props SG Vol01 Props - BSC VIP Girafe Hedges Textures: Included - Scoty Bikepath Textures Req - Additional Planter Textures - Scoty Textures Packs Note the original dependencies required for the original sets by Paeng and MGB, along with the dependencies they add, are required. Give a Big Thank You to hugues aroux for all the great texture work, icons and help in creating this project. This project is as much his as it is mine. A thank you to Paeng for the original set all of this is based on and a thank you to MGB for the work he did on his update and the help he gave in this project. Hope you enjoy them, ~Phil- 6 Comments
