I love the way you draw, especially because it's black and white. I used to draw the same things as you when I was younger: roads, freeways and cities, lots of times inspired in Sim City (and LOADS of airports and planes ), though in my case I drew the things that I wanted to create but I wasn't able to (mainly because I didn't knew the existence if mods). Anyway, my drawings look like pieces of crap in comparison to yours . Well done!

Towers of Steel Revisited
peperodriguez2710 commented on TakemeThere's City Journal Entry in Pretoria Metropolitan Area
By the way, the sign in the WBNS TV mast looks very realistic . You should try to make the red aircraft beacon lights that are seen in most towers in the render too; instead of using the blinking props, like the ones seen in Girafe EDF Tower, for example; because I think they'd look fantastic and there are loads of towers with only steady-burning lights out there, like here in Spain (blinking lights are only used in very very tall structures and/or in airport approaching areas). Good job as always!- 19 Comments

Towers of Steel Revisited

I like best the glare version, though I suggest to make the glare less "pointy", smoothing it around all the letters for having a more realistic view. Anyway, all of them look fantastic. Hope now this improvement in 3ds make you able to render good old models that have been in hold. Good job, and have a nice day!- 19 Comments

Hi, I've recently made another sign, from my local beltway, too. I tried to make it look more realistic by adding it to a Street View pic, but it's not as seamless as yours Have a nice day!

[SOLVED :D] Problems when rendering a region
peperodriguez2710 posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Hello, I don't know if somebody has already solved this problem, sorry if I'm repeating it. Maybe my problem it's created because of a stupid reason, I don't know, sorry I've been creating a custom region using parts of other regions and sculpting in SC4 Terraformer. After finishing it, I created the config.bmp, saved it as a SC4M file, and as a PNG greyscale in the region folder. When I entered SC4, the region was displaying the city borders acording to the config.bmp, and started rendering the greyscale PNG image. When after an hour it finished, the region was all water tiles or land tiles with no elevation changes, completely flat. I tried using .bmp and tried rendering without any open program open or process active at the same time, but results are the same: the region is a flat ocean with sometimes flat land tiles. And I don't think it's the water height problem, because cities are completely flat, and the region has pretty big mountains. I also tried to use a jpeg greyscale, but SC4 didn't read it. (I don't include pics of that flat regions, but I can add them, though I think it's not necessary, my explanation it's exactly what it is) I don't know what to do! Any thoughts? Is the issue realated with the greyscale image (I add it if is needed)? Thanks in advance ^^ -
[SOLVED :D] Problems when rendering a region
peperodriguez2710 replied to peperodriguez2710's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Hi, finally got it! I used Illustrator for redoing the grayscale but then I thought "Hey, Landscape Designer has the ability to import and export grayscale, so, maybe if import the messy grayscale and export another one from the obtained terrain it works" . I turned the crazy one to black and white, just in case, and imported into LD, exported another one, and tried to render. EUREKA! It worked, and I have my region ready-to-play. I just need to polish some things in SC4T (montains smoothed and my dikes are under water) and start playing. Thanks a lot, everybody, but especially Nonny Moose, for pointing me Landscape Designer. You're the heroes of Nueva Nueva Montes (my region)! Have a nice day ^^ -
[SOLVED :D] Problems when rendering a region
peperodriguez2710 replied to peperodriguez2710's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I've followed your advice, so I first elevated the grayscale with Landscape Designer. Finally I made some dikes and riverbeds with Paint.NET and started rendering. While my PC was rendering, power went out (what happens when you plug too many things to the network ), so I had to start it again. When I entered to see the results of the interrupted rendering I found this: I realised that the grayscale was too low and that elevating the terrain made mountain tops flatter, so I changed the grayscale for adjusting to my requeriments. Although the previous rendering stopped, it made something, so I thought that when I fixed it it would work perfectly. The new grayscale, shown in LD too is this: I started rendering another time, but, surprise! Another time the flat-ocean region...: (yeah, that's water) I'm a hoodoo or something, but I never manage to render it correctly! Help Thanks a lot -

[SOLVED :D] Problems when rendering a region
peperodriguez2710 replied to peperodriguez2710's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I thought it looked flat too, but it's what SC4 Terraformer exports as a greyscale... Should I modify it manually? Thanks for you quick answer! -

5455 I was referring that in Palos, are celebrated both the Colombus Day (October 12 too in Spain), the day he left Palos (August 3) and the Martín de Alonso Pinzón day (March 15). It's only a holiday in the cities related with the journey, for example, I live in Mallorca and we have other celebrations instead of Columbus day. And by the way, he left Spain later, in the Canary Islands, that werehis last scale before the long part of the journey.

5452 Well, in the city of Palos, located in the Andalusian province of Cádiz, it's where the journey started; and the Columbus day, the day where the expedition started and the day conmemorating the Pinzón Brothers are celebrated every year. See you! and... Rests of viking villages have been found in eastern Canada, if my memory doesn't betray me; and actually Colombus believed that America was the Eastern coast of Asia, in fact he only discovered islands in the Caribbean 'til the fourth travel, when he arrived to the mainland in Central America. So... He didn't really discover it, but was the man that promoted the colonization in that new continent, which resulted in new civilizations and countries, discoveries and a big leap for human history (and destruction of ancient civilizations and diseases too, that's a fact) and made Spain the greatest empire in the world for lots of decades. But our country has always bad luck and look at us now... Well, here ends this small history lesson

Show Us Your Skylines Interchanges
peperodriguez2710 replied to Vahr's topic in Cities: Skylines Showcase
Just bought it, and looks awesome! Though at the moment I prefer SC4, C:S it's a worthy sucessor to it. A double trumpet interchange based on one I saw in SC4. It's a bit messy, and I could improve it shaving a little here and there, but I am pretty happy as it is. BTW, I'm from Spain, and (in my city, Palma de Mallorca) elevated freeways are only in overpasses and interchanges, and always with earth ramps, but in huge cities like Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia, I've seen elevated freeways, especillay with VAO's (carpools), as the example seen here in Barcelona, but ground based are the common ones afterall. Regards! ^^- 645 Replies

SMFP-Spanish Median Fillers Pack
peperodriguez2710 commented on peperodriguez2710's file in Parks & Plazas
Thanks for asking! I will take a look to that texture ^^ EDIT: I've just looked that texture and I have to say that you're right, in fact I wanted to work with that texture before discovering the current one, because it's like the dry dirt with some plants found in Spanish medians. Though that, I will try to make a variation with that texture, so keep an eye here -

Spanish Median Fillers Pack (SMFP) by Peperodriguez2710 - English Hi, because some members asked me to release a filler pack for S RHW networks that I did for myself, here it is! It's made to be like the medians found all around Spain, especially like the ones found in the arid areas of Castile and the Meseta, known as secarrales, so all the pieces with Weeds and the pieces with Bushes have dry-looking weeds like the vegetation found there. Because I know that you may not want to see that dry weeds, I used seasonal props that only appear on summer. All pieces have reflecting posts. The pack consists of 18 fillers located in the Misc. Transport menu, with three different types of vegetation: Weeds, Bushes and Flowers, and two types of barriers: Guardrails and Concrete separators. There are pieces with freeway lighting too, but it's merely cosmetic so them don't light actually. Then there are some turning area pieces and some ending pieces. Almost all lots are neutral, except the turning area radar lots, that provide some money because of the fines. The lots are classified with letters: W: Fillers with only dry weeds on summer B: Fillers with bushes and dry weeds on summer F: Fillers with flowers G: Fillers with guardrails C: Fillers with concrete dividers L: Fillers with freeway lighting Because of it was made for personal use, there's a lot of dependencies: ·Rush Hour Expansion ·BSC - VIP girafe wheat (v1.0) linkie ·BSC MEGA Props - MJB Vol02 (v1.0) linkie ·BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01 (v1.0) linkie ·BSC - VIP girafe carpack vol. 1 & 2 (v1.0) linkie ·Light Replacement Mod (LRM) v4.0 Mega Pack (Only the props) linkie ·RHW-6C Steel Barriers Mod v1.0 (Only the props) linkie ·Overhanging Parkings 1.01 (Only Grfe_Cars_family_props.dat is needed) linkie ·Nams Props Pack Vol 2 linkie ·R6 - TSC - Prop Pack Vol.1 v V2 linkie ·NAM RHW Props (Included with NAM installation) The installer and readme are available in both English and Spanish For further information, read the Readme provided after the installation, and if you have any issue or suggestion, ask here or by Message. Enjoy!
