Thank you so much! I downloaded these a long time ago from SimCityChina. Unfortunately it's extremely difficult to get an account at SimCity China now. The website has to obey China's Communist Party laws. You need a QQ account too which requires your personal data. And under Chinese law now they have to share that with the Chinese government. You also need an invite from someone inside the forum / QQ to get an account. I don't have any of those sadly. Anyway I will leave them here given how difficult it is to access the site if you're outside China. You can see the SimCityChina links in the attachment to respect the creators. SimCityChina is a special case so I hope this is OK since it's unobtainable elsewhere. JackXu88.rar lrdcq.rar zz_Highway Pillar MOD 2 Adolf Pikachu.rar

Want Modern Square Avatars for the Forum? Download here!
Hellken posted a topic in Simtropolis Related
By default, Simtropolis uses Round Avatars as of July 2015. While the Round Army may have won the battle when Simtropolis voted, I have a solution for those of you who want square avatars. I have tweaked the CSS code for a modern, sleek square design with smooth edges. I did this to address concerns that the round avatar style cropped too much while addressing the want for a modern look. This is available for Firefox and Chrome users only. Internet Explorer worshippers can weep in a corner. UPDATE: Browser Support: Supported and Tested Browsers: Firefox, Chrome Untested Browsers (but it should work): Safari, Opera Little or no support: Internet Explorer: No support. Please download Firefox or Chrome. Mobile browsers: Mobile browsers still do not have strong add-on support in general. You can try. Please tell me if it works. Here is a sample screenshot: Install Instructions: 1) You will need the "Stylish" extension/add-on for Firefox and Chrome. (7 May 2017 - Update: Stylish has revamped and updated their plug-in. Make sure you are using the latest version) Stylish Links here: Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/stylish/ Chrome:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylish/fjnbnpbmkenffdnngjfgmeleoegfcffe Safari: http://sobolev.us/stylish/ Opera: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/stylish-for-opera/ 2) Install my Stylish code here: https://userstyles.org/styles/116688/simtropolis-avatar-rounded-square-by-hellken Screenshot: Spoiler- 26 Replies

Hi. Looks like stylish.org revamped their website. Anyway, the link can still be accessed. So we\re good. It's just that their website revamp sucks. By the way, can we get this thread stickied/pinned mods? Thanks- 26 Replies

I have been working on this expressway interchange with a toll plaza by @riiga. It came to life with the MMPs. This railway depot is at the confluence of several major regional and urban railways. The Kingdom readies itself to go sky-high once again!
Hellken commented on Lucario Boricua's City Journal Entry in Kingdom of Rota
A: No. The North-south runway is next to a cliff and planes will fly directly over Alba. They won't like it. B: Depends. Looks OK. Just make sure there are no mountains north of the runway. C: North-south runway is OK. The NW-SE runway has planes flying directly over the small town so that is a no. D: Looks alright if you make some adjustments. Keep the N-S runway away from the cliffs and hills as much as possible. The East-West runway does not have planes flying overhead the town. But I notice that the west end is too close to a cliff. E: Not sure what to think about this one. The left runway is close to the edge of a cliff. There seems to be a ridge north of the right runway. Can't really tell if it is tall enough to be an issue. F: Hmm. Have you considered putting Option F just north of the lake? Perhaps you could put the NW-SE runway directly north of the lake. And the N-S runway just east of the lake. You can play with different configurations. G: There seems to be a hill just north of the airport and not sure if the hills to the east will be an issue.- 6 Comments

Saint Ymeer City teaser
Hellken commented on sucram17's City Journal Entry in Saint Malin's City Journal
What a pleasant surprise. Santa Malin was one of my favorite city journals on Simtropolis. Do you plan to restore the images in your previous posts? Many image links are now broken. I would love to view them again.- 3 Comments

Here's a set of warehouse industrial lots. These are 10x9 industrial lots based on bripizza and JES warehouses. A large warehouse hangar. A warehouse in a desolate winter. These grow in the game. I have a problem. I did not do the exemplars right. I started with a base industrial landmark lot. So the growable lots end up having landmark attributes. (Initially, I ended up with some odd behavior in-game after deleting the landmark exemplars in the growable files. That did not work so I discarded that.) The files below are test files. Despite the filename, the GROW and PLOP (Landmark) files are identical (for now). I need advice to fix the growable and landmark exemplars. If you want to view the exemplars the files are attached below. Dependencies: EN_IKSK2812_PropSet_v1.dat ( Available at bripizza's website: https://www.bripizza.net/sc4/2812IKSG/2812IKSG.html#sk ) BSC Mega Props - JES Vol01.dat BSC Mega Props - JES Vol03.dat BSC Mega Props - JES Vol04.dat BSC Mega Props JES Vol 05.dat BSC Mega Props - JES Vol06.dat BSC Mega Props - JES Vol07.dat BSC Mega Props - JES Vol09.dat PEG_CDKN_SubmarineBase_RESOURCE.dat bripizza_warehouse_relot_Hellken_test.rar

What program did you use to make the airport plans? I like it. Very simple. Paint.Net? GIMP? Or just Photoshop?- 6 Comments

Hi Thanks!. I actually saw your post back in August 2019. I forgot to thank you. I don't have enough time for SC4 due to real life commitments so this was much appreciated!

Hang on. Does that still happen even with the SC4 Fix? Does the game really start experiencing corruption when the city file exceeds 12.5 MB (+/-)? Can anyone else comment?

I use LotEditor most of the time. PIM-X does not always work 100% on my system. (It has a strict memory limit. Although you can select which plugins to load, it is still a crippling issue especially if I am doing a big lot.) Getting the exemplars right from a Ploppable to Growable (or vice-versa) is the problem. If you have screenshots that would be useful! Thanks. I created a new 'growable' dummy lot and copy-pasted the exemplars into the lot. I am sure I must have done something wrong because the lot was unreadable in PIM-X and Lot Editor. So I had to re-do the exemplars again. I used a backup copy of the lot. Then I edited the exemplars in iLives Reader directly (by comparing them to similar lots). I am not sure about the purpose of some of these exemplars: "User Visible Name Key" and "Plugin Pack ID". Some growable lots do not have them but I am not certain if I should keep or delete these. Is "Item Description Key" for Plop Lots only? Perhaps I should delete that. Anyway, here are the updated versions of the lots. Anyone can test these out. Tell me if it works. Report any bugs or errors. bripizza_warehouse_relot_Hellken_test_v02.rar

@Jasoncw @T Wrecks Thank you both for your advice. It's been really helpful. I got this error message on SC4 PIM-X after copy-&-pasting in iLivesReader. What exactly is the error? ******************* ERROR ********************* in examplar 0x6534284AL 0x39B20D4FL 0x1ACCFA07L located in C:\Users\~\DOC~\SimCity 4\Plugins\bripizza_warehouse_relot_Hellken_test\IM$$2_10x9_bripizza_EN-2812_IKSK_verC-1_Hellken_GROW_c93a9180.SC4Lot 0x27812810:{"Occupant Size"}=Float32:3:{Width: 0.5, Height: 0, Depth: 0.5} ************************************************* ********************* ERROR ********************* in examplar 0x6534284AL 0x39B20D4FL 0x1ACCFA07L located in C:\Users\~\DOC~\SimCity 4\Plugins\bripizza_warehouse_relot_Hellken_test\IM$$2_10x9_bripizza_EN-2812_IKSK_verC-1_Hellken_GROW_c93a9180.SC4Lot 0x27812851:{"Pollution at center"}=Sint32:4:{Air: 0x0000000A} ************************************************* ********************* ERROR ********************* in examplar 0x6534284AL 0x39B20D4FL 0x1ACCFA07L located in C:\Users\~\DOC~\SimCity 4\Plugins\bripizza_warehouse_relot_Hellken_test\IM$$2_10x9_bripizza_EN-2812_IKSK_verC-1_Hellken_GROW_c93a9180.SC4Lot 0x68EE9764:{"Pollution radii"}=Float32:4:{Air: 0} *************************************************

Thanks. So I followed your advice and created a 'dummy' lot. I notice the growable 'dummy' lot created in PIM-X does not have all the exemplars. For example, "Capacity satisfied" is not present in the .SC4LOT file... ...but it is present in the .SC4DESC file: Should I just copy all the exemplars in the .SC4DESC into the .SC4LOT file?

iLive Reader to extend power plant lifetime
Hellken replied to monkeywater's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Wow! I am very impressed with all the effort to test this. Thanks! So what is the purpose of the .SC4DESC file in this context? It seems only the .SC4LOT file is the only critical file. -
iLive Reader to extend power plant lifetime
Hellken replied to monkeywater's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Thanks! Do I need to edit both the .SC4LOT FILE and. SC4DESC ? Will anything happen if I edit one but not the other? -
So compact! Every square meter of land occupied. How long did it take to plop all of this?
-
Hi thanks for your reply. Do I really need to remake the lots from scratch on PIM-X? (I have always had trouble getting that to work on my system properly). Would making a new "dummy" lot with the same lot dimensions on PIM-X (to get the stats right) then copy & pasting the stats into Reader do the same trick? *I did these on LotEditor.

Now there's something creative you don't see everyday.

You can't use this to connect between cities. They are just lots. They don't go underground. Anyway, not much of a problem. I'm fixing the look of something I am making.

You should seriously consider 'Datpacking' this into one .dat file and rename this as a MEGA Prop Pack. (It was the first thing I did after downloading.) No, probably the first UBER Prop Pack! No prop pack has ever gotten that large. My goodness the true size is about 305 MB (!!!) once unpacked. (I thought it was 25.42 MB until I took a closer look!) I cannot imagine the amount of dedication put into making this. Truly outstanding work. Thank you.
