Regional Update
It has been a while since my last post. The intention of this post is to catch up on the regional developments. Almost ten (10) cities have been built since the last post. From west to east: Sandy Shores, Fairview Oaks, Hennessy, Harker Heights, Sunset Valley, Ft. Hood, Creighton, Cedar Park, Kingwood, Del Calle, Coppell, Alexander, Dupoint, and Parma. Photos and descriptions of each one of these cities will be on the following posts. There are still a couple cities with nothing but a highway running through them (Frankfurt & Appleton), which will be built later. Presently, many of these cities mentioned are simply bedroom communities for Los Santos. Meanwhile, Los Santos itself has expanded to almost the entire large city tile. All these devepments will be posted with photos later as well.- Read More

Rum Rock is finally finished.
After more than three months and way more than 30 cocktails, Rum Rock Harbor has finally complete (I'm having rum and Coke right now to celebrate). I've never tackled anything this big, unless you count a big fat kid in high school football named Rodney Swanson. From Collinsburg to the Rico River, this city turned out just the way I wanted it to. I didn't know much about mods, BATs, and MMP's before all of this, and I was a total NAM virgin. Of course I used my tiny brain to figure out most of it, but my wife still isn't impressed. It looks impressive to live in those high rise condos, but in reality, none those buildings have elevators. Carrying six grocery bags to the 27th floor is not easy. Rum Rock Harbor's lighthouse! There's a 43% chance you'll make it into the harbor unharmed. If you like eating fish, you'll love the Rum Rock Dock. It's loaded with great restaurants and people who smell like halibut. Thanks for checking out Rum Rock Harbor. It's been a labor or love -- or maybe a "Flavor of Love" -- I'm not sure which. Make sure you take a look at some of my older journals... or don't. Have a great frickin' week. - 15

4 Bassins
Original from here : (Own Work) : http://watson-architecture.weebly.com/four---4-bassins.html Located among the plains you will find Seoi Chek, this city is designed around 4 bassins of freshwater. Two are seemingly old; and 2 are seemingly new, but the age of these places is to be ignored for now Water has the ability to change effortlessly without losing its essential character. In five element feng shui, water types are resourceful and single-minded, flowing over problems like a river. Central & Court There are two small bassins, one is the city center, and the other is built inside a block of buildings. Central - There was no place that was defined as the town center, yet the four streets around it and the the building near it, communicates a notion of character of what a central plaza could be. Many people gather there, mainly tourists, it is a lucrative place for businesses, and it's always alive, the water is never still.. Court - Just a stone's throw away from Central, Court, is only accessible to the residents from around it, it is the residents haven to escape their daily stress, only them and some precious guests access this exclusive area, the water is most of the time still.. Court - Just a stone's throw away from Central, Court, is only accessible to the residents from around it, it is the residents haven to escape their daily stress, only them and some precious guests access this exclusive area, the water is most of the time still.. Nouveau Bassin & Sheung-O-Kwan Nouveau Bassin (above) - in the recent years, industry has slowed down a lot, and in a bid to keep the city attractive the successive mayors decided to gentrify this place with the "Dai" Shopping Mall and business tower, along the Bassin was built a facilities building, with spa and hotel, of course there are extra water activities, fr the residents in this city, going there is always fun on a sunny afternoon. The water is only still at night These last years, thanks to the gentrification, and the touristic opportunities here, the city has built a new district called "Sheung-O-Kwan" this master attracted many renowned architects to the city, like the Dutch super-architect Krijs Van Kreis, and others. The master-plan was to build a fourth bassin that will communicate with the others, and thus generate an identity for this new district. The residents hassled with their daily lives however rarely use this bassin, and the water is always still, luckily contemporary equipment keeps it pristine clean.. - 39

Almine
OVERVIEW After a long time not update about ABCD, today we'll bring you an update on the city Almine. Contiguous with Delia, Seri Putra and Seasix, Almine is central to the development of ABCD and economic center for the development corridor. Almine put some syraikat giants from all over the ABCD and as well as having its own exchange. Almine Stock Exchange is the largest stock exchange and listing the shares of high-performing companies like Airport Corporation, Almine Limited Transit, Highway Corporation and many more. Almine City Almine City Center Almine Stock Exchange TRANSPORTATION In terms of transportation, Almine has an efficient public transport system to mobilize the economic lifeblood of ABCD. Almine Transit System (AST) is operated by Almine Transit Corporation (ATC) operating systems including a monorail system, LRT, commuter rail systems, the ferry system and the city subway. Recently, ATC has launched its high-speed rail (HSR) linking between Seasix and Almine. Seasix which is a satellite city of Almine has been connected to the highway and LRT systems that experience extreme congestion. HSR is expected to help reduce commuter congestion between these two cities. Almine Terminal LRT and subways system under ATS. Almine Airport Interchange station between monorail and LRT system. Almine International Airport Highway is also the lifeblood of the city. There are three main highways connecting residential areas to the town center Almine Almine of Central Expressway (E1), Almine East Extension Highway (E2) and Almine West Highway (E3). For connecting highways, many major roads to be upgraded to dual carriageway road code C as Almine Ring Road 1 (C1) to ensure smooth traffic flow into these major highways. Highways and roads maintained by the city Almine Highway Corporation and under the scheme of Alam Bestrai Highway System. Almine West Expressway (E3) Almine East Extension Highway (E2) Almine Central Highway (E1) Another section of Almine Central Highway (E1) A number of public facilities and infrastructure that will be reviewed for the next entry. Interchange update in Lagos
It's been a good six months since I last played my region of Prospect Bay intensively. When I started this MD, I had already started another, much larger region called Yakutat Bay which more and more came to consume all of my SC4 efforts as I worked on it. I'll be making an MD for that region eventually too, but first I want to round this one out a little because Prospect Bay is close to being finished. Last time, I said that my next entry would focus on the city of Port Deliverance. I've decided against that. The city was the first that I built in the Prospect Bay region, and does not come close to living up to the standards that I build today. Plus, it's really small so there's not too much interesting to see. In general my play style has changed a lot since I started Prospect Bay more than a year ago. It was the first region I played based on real world terrain, and also the first where I had realism and organic development at the top of my priorities list. Consequently, there are a lot of things I would do differently if I were to go about building this region again. Foremost among those are the designs for the region's freeway interchanges. I literally built out my learning process with RHW from scratch in them, and as a result they do not conform to contemporary highway standards. That's why I decided to go into the region's largest city, Lagos, and update its most important central interchange. Here's a map of the highways in the Lagos metro area. Wide lines represent freeways while narrower lines represent at-grade alignments. As you can see, the city is still very much a work in progress with new neighborhoods in development for quite a ways along the southern urban fringe. The highway interchange I updated is the big one between Highway 1 and 24. This is what the interchange used to look like when I built it in October, facing east. I don't think I did so badly considering that it was the first full four way interchange I built with RHW, but the positioning of the exits and entrances and the unnecessary narrowing of the roadways at certain exits certainly left something to be desired. At first I tried to rebuild the interchange from scratch a couple times, but in doing so I realized that making some simple upgrades would be a more elegant solution. Here's how the interchange looks now. The retrofit was a pretty wide ranging project, involving rebuilding many ramp connections, widening the mainline roadways, new overpasses, acceleration lanes, merge in/merge out auxiliary lanes, fractional angle curves, and a couple minor surface street upgrades. The eastern side of the interchange leads into a bridge approach and a partial interchange with Lagos' Market Street facing toward the bridge. As part of the upgrade I rebuilt the Market Street overpass and its bridge ramps, reconfiguring them to eliminate the need for entering and exiting traffic to make U-turns at the congested street's nearby intersections, which also saw upgades. I also improved the merge for eastbound traffic entering the Highway 1 mainline by getting rid of an extra lane that terminated at the merge point. The southern side of the interchange was one of the trickiest to work with. I had given up on being able to use a fractional angle ramp leading into an RHW-4 split for northbound traffic trying to turn east or west when I practically built the thing by accident with not a tile to spare--the highway goes into a smooth curve just beyond the lower right edge of the screenshot. I was even able to improve the sound walls between the ramp and the neighborhood to its east. At the western edge of the interchange is the Pine Valley Mall, the largest concentration of jobs in the city outside of the industrial port. The main improvements I made in this area consisted to building more articulated curves for the right turn ramps, building a short merge lane for traffic entering the westbound mainline on Highway 1 before it heads into a viaduct and placing cosmetic pieces. You won't believe how much of a pain it was to rebuild the central overpasses of the interchange in the same spot while widening both the surface and the overpassing lanes from one tile RHW to two tile RHW! It felt like I spent half an hour frantically clicking around. There were more subprojects in this update, but that about covers the main and most interesting ones. I chronicled everything else related to the update in a short series of gameplay/commentary videos, if you're interested check them out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WslD4pd14Wk. I hope you guys enjoyed the entry, if so I plan to bring you more of this style from Lagos and Prospect Bay soon. As an added bonus, here's a dusty old screenshot of Lagos' industrial port from October, again facing east: I have a heck of a lot of work ahead of me with bringing this sector of the city up to my current standards, including an already commenced dredging project for the channel in front of the container cranes and a widening project for Highway 24, so don't judge! -

Tahoma: Great City of the North
Tahoma is one of the three principal cities of the Whatcom Region. Boasting a population of 75,000 within the city proper and over 100,000 more in its outlying suburbs, the city has shed its exurban status with the advent of better connectivity to Whatcom, via high-speed rail service and a new, six-lane freeway. From its very founding, Tahoma has been planned on a series of grids, one for each of its somewhat distinct neighborhoods. Downtown, bounded on the west by Tahoma Bay and on the east by the steep Market Hillclimb, is home to most of the city's highrise buildings. The city has invested heavily into renovating its waterfront, building a new pier and Ferris wheel adjacent to its former skid row. Downtown Tahoma is served by two ferry docks, with regular service from its suburbs in Westpoint as well as the Port of Tahoma, to alleviate traffic on the few north-south streets during rush hour. Two new sports venues, BT Arena (left) and Tahoma Stadium (right), were built in the central boulevard of the city for its popular teams, part of the superclub Tahoma North Star (abbreviated as Tahoma NS), which fields teams in over 30 sports. (AN: Ignore the intersection error. It was not seen until the images were uploaded to Majhost.) Tahoma Central Station is served by trains coming approximately every 6 minutes at peak hours, arriving from destinations as far away as Newport/Baker and even Westgate Island. High-speed rail service to Whatcom, which runs through South Tahoma and Elliot Bay, operates on 15-minute frequencies during normal service, but is increased during special events and holidays. At the north end of Tahoma's downtown sits her tourist areas, home to the sprawling Downtown Mall and Tahoma Performing Arts Center on Plaza Street and the small Tahoma City Beach, often crowded with sunbathing tourists and locals, only differentiated by their choice in more generic towels. At Downtown's other end lies the new Tahoma City Pier, home to a museum dedicated to the local shipping industry as well as the popular combination arcade/aquarium. New hotels have sprung up in the two blocks adjacent to the pier's only entrance, filling the streets with tourists on any remotely nice day. Above the train station sits the Tahoma Public Market and the rest of Market Hill, including a 3-block park that reaches the Tahoma Viaduct. Market Hill is one of the densest neighborhoods in the region, with older brownstone apartments and modern condos sitting side-by-side, well served by frequent bus service to Downtown and other neighborhoods. The Tahoma Viaduct carries six lanes of freeway through the eastern neighborhoods of Tahoma. Various plans to replace the aging structure, which is at risk of collapse during the next megathrust earthquake, have ranged from deep-bore and cut-and-cover tunnels to replacing the freeway entirely with a boulevard. As of writing, no official plans have been announced by the Tahoma municipal government. Most of Tahoma's big box stores are only allowed on designated corridors that can handle increased traffic, such as arterial streets that connect Downtown to the Tahoma Viaduct. South of Tahoma's Downtown lies the Industrial District, home to the Port of Tahoma and plenty of heavy industry. The Port of Tahoma is the third largest in the Whatcom region, behind the ports of Whatcom and Baker. The ease of access between the port and various connections to other cities in the region give it a major advantage over its larger competitors. The Industrial District and the upscale southern neighborhoods of Tahoma are served by a newly-constructed rail station with frequent service to Downtown during peak hours in addition to regional rail service. The first diverging diamond interchange in the region was built in Tahoma to better serve port traffic without interfering with commuters from Tahoma's eastern suburbs. One final parting shot of Downtown Tahoma. Stay tuned for the next update, to come in a few more months!- Read More

Update 10: Oakdale
So, you might notice this update is a little short...and that it's been a while. I worked on this city for probably close to a good month or so once I finished Elmore, but about a month or so ago I must've moved some plugins around, because now when I go to load the city I get a CTD. I'd take the time to fix it, but quite honestly I have a pretty big plugins folder, and I've been really bogged down with real-life issues. I'm just starting summer from high school, but quite honestly I think it's more productive to spend my time working on Beaumont and other cities. Oakdale, for the most part, was probably about 95% complete anyways. So, you're only getting a couple pictures. I didn't take that many while I was working on it. The lone picture that's good enough. Enjoy the suburban sprawl, though! This is the best overview picture I have...it shows most of the city. That undeveloped area across the river eventually became mid-rises. I promise I've been working fairly hard in SimCity, and I'm glad to report that a fair amount of the greater Beaumont area is complete. Complete work includes a couple of large tiles (Elmore & Oakdale) and some other tiles I have some development on. I've also started a little on Beaumont, but I'm still building up the suburbs surrounding downtown. I've been bogged down with real-life issues, as well as a general lack of motivation after cranking out two big suburbs. I am working steadily, albeit slowly. I promise. Replies @Neto Dari: Thanks @Vitor13: I don't speak Spanish, but half of that survived the translator, and I think that was a compliment? Muchos Gracias? @feeroz123: When you get close to downtown, those wide roads really help traffic! And glad you like it! They're one of my favorite parts of Elmore. @IRE505: I'm not sure exactly, and I'm having computer issues so I can't check SC4 for any help, but if you search 'barge' on the STEX, or perhaps PLEX, I think you can find them relatively easily. (Don't hold me to that though) @paulmc: Thanks! @Tonraq: I love your stuff too! @sejr99999: Thanks a lot! I feel that they add uniqueness and give the neighborhoods a little bit of variety. @city89: The barge, again, should be able to be found on the STEX or PLEX by searching 'barge', and the bridge is also part of the latest NAM, I believe. @sarthakknight: Hey, we're a growing nation, we're always hiring!! - 13

Asiantown (introduction)
Thanks for reading, and welcome back! A big thanks to the ONE person who actually voted,so just for you, we are going to Asiantown, but I guess thats democracy lol. And a message to would be voters, look for this updates poll!
This is a project I worked on a few months ago, Asiantown, located in the Bismarck Isles province,in the heart of Gunter Beach, it is also in the capital province. This update doesn't have a story element, but the full update could if people wanted it (VOTE BRUH!). Below is the flag of Gunter Beach.
Below is a chart that entails out nations racial demographics, taken by the State Polling and Census Department, as you can see we are very diverse.
Anyway Asiantown is home to a thriving expat community, with most of the immigrants here from Japan and North Korea, they bring with them their arts and cuisine; Asiantown is home to both the most sushi restaurants and manga book stores in our country per square kilometer. All North Korean residents were brought in to fill the 'labor gap' during the Communist Period, which ended in 1983, and virtually all Japanese immigrants arrived after. Despite the fact the communities have very different cultures and interests, they both have concentrated here in Asiantown.
Thanks for stopping by, and If you want to know where the beach is in Gunter Beach, stay tuned.
Hope you enjoyed my attempt at Asian

New London district, Kusari City
Well hello there! How is everyone doing? This is the New London district of Kusari City. It is the centre of the Bretonian Borough of the city and has some big buildings oh yeah! 1. 2.Look at this island: Doesn't it scream "Development, development!" I had though to leave it untouched, but it seems to stick out like a sore thumb. 3. 4. It don't really like the zoning here. It's too rectangular. I'm either going to zone down some of the development into mansions, or try to increase the amount of big towers 5. 6. Ooo lots of lights! 7. 8. 9. Lastly, here is a look at the area of development so far. The biggest problem I'm running into is trying to keep CS$$ available for uneducated sims that move in, while have enough CS$$$ and CO to keep residential demand up. Tyvm for viewing! - 14

Jmsepe - Thanks! Hopefully it will work in this update Juliok92012 - I take a screenshot of the region and then use paint to draw lines of different colours. Welcome to Update 1 of my on-going project - to build a city from a basic plan. Lets delve straight into the pictures: The first interchange, where H1 and H2 connect (H2 is the one leaving the region, and H1 is the eventual loop around the 4 city tiles (Junction will be refereed to as J1)): The railway crossing the H1 just south of the junction: The railway bending in toward the CBD: The starts of the A1/A2, next to the railway junction just outside the CBD: The H1 to the west of J1: The unfinished J3 (Junction 3) - It will link the E2 to the H1 (I will probably release a map later on with all the names of the roads): The A1 linking onto the E2, and the E2 then flowing down to the E1 (The CBD ring-road): Finally, 2 images of the current region view. One is in satellite view and the other in transport view: One final thing before I sign out. I am limited on lots/bats. If people can link in the comments some good commercial/industrial/residential lots or some parks it would be much appreciated. I am also looking for some decent walls to build up on my raised railways/highways. Thanks in advance. Note: Struggling to get the images working -.-. Bare with me, hopefully the next one will work properly Hope you guys enjoyed the update, next one will not be until Friday due to me being away. - 2

We're going abalone diving!
Welcome back to Argolis! Thanks James and Schulmanator! Maybe we'll hit more airport shots sometime soon. And heres some new stuff, not really sure if its my jam quite yet. Last weekend I took a trip up the coast of California to do some Abalone diving. From where we parked at the trailhead off Hwy 1 we had a 2 mile hike up a bit of the coast on rocks like this. The tide was way out so it was perfect to get really far off the cove and get some of the deeper abs. Going out to the dive site wasn't too terrible. But in a wet wetsuit and booties, the rocks really started taking a toll on the way back, and the weight belt didn't seem to help either. So I wanted to add a bit of this excellent coastline to my region. This was my first experience with MMPs and it took me several attempts to make something that looked decent to me. So here up on the northern side of the tile we have the trailhead. This just comes off of a stretch of RHW-3 that runs along the coast. I may reduce that to RHW-2 some day, I'll have to decide when I build the interchange a couple tiles over. This is the main stretch of the beach. Theres about half a mile south and a mile north that extends to Moat Creek. Moat Creek has only received the rock treatment like this, I haven't gotten around to developing the rest of the riverbed yet. A little zoom in to where everyone is diving at. The terrain has gotten a bit more rough and you can see the seagrass in the shallow water. If you're interested, heres a GoPro gif of what I wanted the terrain to look like. DescriptiveLiveIrukandjijellyfish And zoom in a wee bit more and you can see the divers here. They're not supposed to be scuba divers but thats all I had in my plugins folder. Lots of wildlife here! Of course you have to show off what you catch. Meat removed, banana for scale. Thats all for now. Besides this, all I've been doing is some low density zoning so not too much to show there. Development of the suburbia area is going as planned. Thanks for visiting! - 6

Frontier // Welcome to Pla de Cérvol
Frontier is the first town you'll find when you arrive to Pla de Cérvol from south. With it's 7.634 inhabitats, Frontier is ready to welcome you to our nice small country. Frontier has always been the most important commecial gate to the region. In the middle ages we had a wall sorrounding the whole city from intruders, now and after several wars, the only reminder of the old wall we had is this gate, The Southern Gate: After we cross the gate we're officially in Pla de Cérvol. The church, located in the city center is the most important historical building in town: The water tower, built in the 60's to cover the growing demand of dinkable water. It still is the tallest building in town. I always like to finish my journals with some overview pictures of the city I'm showing, just to prove it's an actual city and not just pure eye candy! To be continued... Hope you liked it, please comment and share!!! - 2

Kennedy International Airport has arrived at Gate 8 We waited around thirty minutes, and we finally saw him coming our way with a huge bag on his right shoulder. He put his bag down and we shook hands. [Willem]: Hey Monicas! What's up? [sidney]: What the hell's on your head, Monica? [Willem]: Quit "Monica" me, hommie. This is to protect my hair. Got a new haircut, don't want it messed up. [Tyron]: Looks like a condom. Still as cautious as always, huh? [Willem]: Yo Tyron, what's going on? [Tyron]: Got out of jail this morning. [Willem]: Ha! What did they got you for this time? [Tyron]: Fake charges, the usual. [Willem]: Damn that sucks... Simtropolis International Airport is not far from Downtown, located partly on an artificial island built by Mexican workers in the early 20th century. [sidney]: Seems like the STPD got something against you Tyron. Anything you wanna tell us? [Tyron]: What's this, yo? Quit with the questions, I have nothing to blame myself for. I'm clean, these guys are just harassing me for no reason. [Willem]: There's always a reason, even if it's silly, trust me. [Tyron]: What are you even on about, Willem? Jeez. How was NYC? [Willem]: Ah you know... [Tyron]: I don't, hence why I'm asking... [Willem]: Well uh, got in some trouble, that's why I'm back. [sidney]: What kind of fuss? [Willem]: Beat up some lowlife prick in the Bronx the other night. Think he was linked with the mafia. He said something about Thamus, wasn't too sure. [Tyron]: Don Thamus? The Thamus crime family? [Willem]: You know them? [Tyron]: You fool, of course. They're the mafia 'round here in ST. You should remember them... [Willem]: Nope, they any dangerous? [sidney]: Relative. Anyways, keep moving, these security guards are looking at us suspiciously, three black guys talking around a bag and stuff. [Tyron]: You're not black, paki. [sidney]: I ain't no paki, fool. We left the airport and went to Sid's car in the parking lot. We took the airport's tunnel and went towards the projects, our hood. More to follow, nuckas.
