That is such an awesome airport. There's so much detail it's ridiculous! -

RUM is great. Thanks a bunch! -
What's the size of your plugins folder?
Shortsonfire replied to flymantang's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I'm at 3.55GB with 10,167 files. I originally installed SC4 for my new computer on my boot SSD by accident and the game loaded faster than I could look at my laptop and back. Now that its installed on the other drive it only takes about a minute or so to load a city. -

Trouble with single rail track through Maxis avenue

Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting the single-line heavy rail to make an intersection through the Maxis avenues. I get the invisible tiles, and I even tried to use one way roads as a work around but got the same result. But I get this, one of those errors when the transportation don't mix. This was the workaround I got, but I don't like the short transition of double rail here. The reason I'm asking is because TLA-7 was able to get the rail through it easily. It works, I just don't want to upload another image. If anyone knows whats up I'd be greatly appreciative. I wouldn't doubt it if there's a plop I'm passing over in the menus. Thanks! -

Thats awesome! Nice PS skills here! I mean... people blowing up and stuff sucks though. -
Welcome back to Argolis! Thanks James and Schulmanator! Maybe we'll hit more airport shots sometime soon. And heres some new stuff, not really sure if its my jam quite yet. Last weekend I took a trip up the coast of California to do some Abalone diving. From where we parked at the trailhead off Hwy 1 we had a 2 mile hike up a bit of the coast on rocks like this. The tide was way out so it was perfect to get really far off the cove and get some of the deeper abs. Going out to the dive site wasn't too terrible. But in a wet wetsuit and booties, the rocks really started taking a toll on the way back, and the weight belt didn't seem to help either. So I wanted to add a bit of this excellent coastline to my region. This was my first experience with MMPs and it took me several attempts to make something that looked decent to me. So here up on the northern side of the tile we have the trailhead. This just comes off of a stretch of RHW-3 that runs along the coast. I may reduce that to RHW-2 some day, I'll have to decide when I build the interchange a couple tiles over. This is the main stretch of the beach. Theres about half a mile south and a mile north that extends to Moat Creek. Moat Creek has only received the rock treatment like this, I haven't gotten around to developing the rest of the riverbed yet. A little zoom in to where everyone is diving at. The terrain has gotten a bit more rough and you can see the seagrass in the shallow water. If you're interested, heres a GoPro gif of what I wanted the terrain to look like. DescriptiveLiveIrukandjijellyfish And zoom in a wee bit more and you can see the divers here. They're not supposed to be scuba divers but thats all I had in my plugins folder. Lots of wildlife here! Of course you have to show off what you catch. Meat removed, banana for scale. Thats all for now. Besides this, all I've been doing is some low density zoning so not too much to show there. Development of the suburbia area is going as planned. Thanks for visiting!

Theres only one Antonov An-225 in service aanndd theres four tip to tip in my old airport.

These before and after shots are awesome! I especially love the ones that show just a bit of RHW interchange and then super expansion. I had a pretty industrial heavy city some time back. I think I tore the whole thing down and got rid of population, now the area has double the amount of industrial business. The most up to date picture I have. Theres a bunch of suburb development south of this, but that must have been a much later development.

What is this Airpot Tram?
Shortsonfire replied to Retep Molinari's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Mine is located in the airport menu right near the top. (would be the first lot after the Maxis airports but I have some pieces in there that I've never used.) Lovely lot. I have over a dozen of them in just a small handful of adjacent cities! Thank you! Just looking at the picture now, it looks like I'm missing some terminal pieces!! Those must have been deleted when I was looking for some incompatible parts. D: -
This thing from 2013 just popped up on my Facebook wall and I thought it would be cool to share here. The video was pretty cool to watch. http://deadstate.org/you-wont-believe-the-detail-in-this-jaw-dropping-drawing-of-all-the-cities/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvcnZFu35xU#t=15

Ooh really dig the lighting along the waterfront! This was a random mosaic night shot thing I made a little while back. Don't you just love concrete jungles!?

Those seawalls look great, dude! I love the use of that garbage scow. :) Good to see that the roads are a bit more flat than last time I was here. ;)
