Hello, I was restoring a backup for a reinstallation I did of SimCity 4 Deluxe with NAM 49, and a few other mods. Everything is working, however, one region I have has two developed cities that are missing. The cities files, rather than being in the appropriate region, was in the SimCity 4\Regions\Downloads folder. I did some research on this and found a thread that stated: (The blocked text is referring to if during a restoration city tiles aren't in your region) Another person replied to this: What I don't see or understand is this whole import function. Where is it located? How does it work? Once I use this feature, does it export it to the appropriate place in the appropriate region? Are there other steps I should be aware of? Thank you in advance for any help you can give!

This is the core of southeastern Ontario, Canada, condensed to allow more creative freedom in choosing which communities to represent most, much like what Rockstar Games does with their maps for Grand Theft Auto games (the only differences being: the geography of this region is 99% the same as the geography of its real-world counterpart (only the scale is condensed,) and this isn't a spoof region with a spoof name.) Large tiles are given to Toronto/York Region/Peel Region, Hamilton/surrounding areas, Niagara, London (Ontario,) Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge, and Buffalo. Buffalo/a thin slice of New York State is included in this region because the shape and size of the region allows it to be. Size: 16x16, a mix of large and medium tiles along with a few small tiles Geography: Flat version How to install: Extract the .zip folder, then put the main folder in your Documents/SimCity4/Regions folder. -

Just needing a link to a SC4 patch, that allows neighbor connections to work - cannot recognize neighbors and their commodities or utilities.

This is Seis, a region created to look like the logo for Grand Theft Auto 6. Fun fact: I wanted to name the region the Latin word for "six," but that turned out to be "sex" and there was no way I was naming a region "sex," so I went with the Spanish word for "six" instead. Do you like Billie Eilish? What if a country decided to make man-made islands in the shape of her name? If Dubai can do it with a palm tree and the world map, then a fictitious scenario such as this can do it as well. This isn't a meme map (unless you want it to be,) but rather a tribute to the singer, and something I did for fun. More regions like this are on the way. Hello Simtropolis, This thread is for showcasing cities and regions on the SimCity 4 Multiplayer Project (SC4MP) network. Visit the website at www.sc4mp.org or see the forum post for more information. -------------------------------------------------------- I'll start with my humble city of Belgrade (not Serbia), that you can find on the "MEGAREGION" server: Strange nonstandard interchange: Downtown: Suburbs: University of Belgrade: Highway curve:

Hey folks I've been using SC4 on Mac for a while. I've got pretty good at troubleshooting, but am getting tired of chasing CTDs every time I add some new plugins. So I've installed SC4 (Stream) on Win11 VMWare on the Mac. Fresh install from Stream, no plugins (yet). I've copied my region over from my Mac, however when loaded on the Win11 instance I get standard blank square tiles (no terrian or coast etc). The default game regions load fine (London etc), but all my custom regions are blank tiles. The custom regions load the map terrain when I import the jpg file (Shift+Alt+Ctrl+R), but this doesn't;t get my city back. If I copy my SC4 city tile files into the new map area, they revert to blank tiles. Am I missing anything when importing a region file from a Mac to Windows? Cheers, DK

Saw a post from 2010 about wanting to download full regions with completed cities. I know of Maxisland, but wondering if there are anymore like that or others that Content Creators are willing to share with their Plugins as well. Thanks in Advance, Keep up building!- 2 Replies

Hi all, I have downloaded some regions to play but I am unable to locate the files when performing Shift + Alt + Ctr + R. It brings up a menu but I can't find My Documents when trying to navigate the menu. I would assume I'm looking for a "Users" folder to locate My Documents but it doesn't appear in that menu. Does anyone have a fix for this or know how I can locate the files? I'm using a 2017 MacBook Air btw. Thanks!

I'm trying to add new regions to my SimCity 4 Delux. I've downloaded the files, added them to the regions folder and hit 'Control, Alt, Shift, R keys' in the game. The folders come up but I can't open 'documents'. Any idea what's happening?

What am I forgetting? Unique Creation Ideas for Cities and Regions
Jedimarine posted a topic in SC4 - Custom Content
Modular International Airports Modular Golf Courses Wilderness Parks Cultural Centers Theme Parks Campgrounds Suburban Subdivision Sprawl High Tech Industrial Campuses Freeway Adjacent Warehouses Multi-Modal Transit Hubs Naval Yards These are just a few of the unique additions made to my SC4 cities and regions. Most are largely due to the excellent content so graciously shared on this site. But I feel like I'm missing something important. There is some element of world simulation that I'm not adding in, and I cannot put my finger on it. I suppose it could be that I just grow bored of creating another neighborhood or routing another monorail line...but in the past I have always discovered something here that had me racing back to each city to find a way to squeeze in a new nightlife district or a new sports venue, etc. I almost miss the days long ago when i just went Skyscraper hunting...simpler times...simpler tastes. ------------ What am I forgetting? What have you done lately to enliven your cities? Thanks for your input...- 24 Replies

How many dependencies/lots/BATS/props/essentials etc can SC4 handle? To be honest i have allot but the game works very well, offcourse its going to work a little bit slower because of al the buildings and the lots/props but i am just surprised the game didn't crash (not yet) For the dependecies with Cleanitol list, i also used that Are there any limits? Thanks

I found this photo on the internet, what must i do to see my regions like that (with buildings etc) ? When i start SC4 i don't see it, i see the regions normal with the roads, rails in blue/red colors (just like a legend map)

Hi you guys. I'm hoping that you can give me some advice and helpful information. I've been playing SC4 since around 2005. Everytime I've changed PC/laptops I've basically had to start over and lost years worth of city and region building. Any advice, links, or helpful info on the best way to transfer my SC4 for my old laptop to newer one would be very appreciated. I used to have the CD version of course, but with Win10 I bought the digital thru Steam. So its my plugins and cities/regions that I need to transfer so that I can start playing again on my new laptop. My old laptop still has all the SC4 files, folders, etc. And I also saved my Plugins and Regions folders to a flash drive. This site has been so helpful and informative thru the years. Thank you.

Hi there, First off, I took a long time looking for similar topics, but apparently I'm just a special kind of stupid. I got some new regions off the site, which I downloaded and rendered in-game as per instructions. But they always end-up having these enormous cliffs along the coasts. I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen. I can however manually fix this by lowering the level of each city-square, as you can see in the attachment, I had quite a way to go. My question is: is this intentional behaviour or do I miss a step in the process? Regards, Tosti
