Short Description: There are some plaza plugins out there on the STEX, even a few modular ones, but with this set, I'm aiming at creating a fully comprehensive modular system of plazas which have a variety of different functions, are easy to combine, and allow adjustment of textures. This plugin contains a good number of modular lots that will allow you to create your custom plaza, sidewalk, or seawall. Fountains, ponds, benches, seawalls, market stalls, trees – nearly everything is available, I’ll leave it to your experimenting pleasure to find out. Most of them are purely decorational (while having park and landmark effect), only the market stalls will yield a bit money. All lots have been designed in a way that they are rather simple, thereby being able to be combined with each other easily. All lots can be found in the park menu, just below the default Maxis parks. By default, all lots will use the standard Maxis white pavement texture, however, I’ve included some texture override files that will allow you to customize this plugin in a way that all lots will change their textures. Mainly included are textures fitting with the PedMall puzzle pieces from the NAM, but since I’ve seen many users using plugins that override the PedMall textures, I’ve also included a few extra overrides. Note: There has been a last-minute change to this plugin that isn't reflected in the screenshots above: I had to remove all the people lurking around on the lots because their immense amount looked horrible, and I couldn't find a way to randomize their appearance. Please make sure to read the included readme carefully, since you can't just install this plugin and play - due to the texture overrides, you need to customize it first. Available languages: English, German Dependencies: Please refer to the Readme for information about what the dependencies do. Unfortunately, this time you get a good load of dependencies, fortunately, however, most of them are candidates I'm using frequently, anyway, or just dependency packages that do nothing except adding props/textures and won't flood you with a lot of lots that will fill your menu quickly. Exception: I've had to use one file from the Historic Harbor plugin, which comes with many lots. You only need one file from there (see below). BSC Mega Props - KWKVol02: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=627 BSC Mega Props - SG Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=746 BSC Mega Props - swi21 Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=403 BSC Mega Props Gascooker Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=397 BSC VIP girafe Ashes: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2854 BSC VIP girafe Beeches: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2995 BSC VIP girafe Birches: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2620 BSC VIP girafe Common Spruces: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2945 BSC VIP girafe Elms: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3347 BSC VIP girafe Lindens: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2869 BSC VIP girafe Norway Maples: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2740 Buildings as Props: http://www.simcityplaza.de/index.php/tools-und-andere-downloads/offizielle-downloads/file/446-buildings-as-props-von-maxis SFBT Essentials: http://www.simcityplaza.de/index.php/props-und-texturen/essentials?download=162:sfbt-essentials-dezember-2015-(windows) You only need the file Fence - Iron small.dat from the Historic Harbor plugin. Optional but helpful: The following dependencies are required for some of the texture overrides, but the base MPS plugin will entirely work without them: BSC Textures Vol01: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=90 BSC Textures Vol02: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=638 Vortexture 1 - Base Set: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3211 Contained Files: MPS Core Files.dat (mandatory): Contains all lots for the Modular Plaza System, along with their descriptions and icons. MPS Textures.dat (mandatory): Contains a few overlay textures that have been created specifically for the MPS. Seawall Connection Lots.dat (optional): 4 lots that can be used on slopes to connect ground traffic routes to the overpass puzzle pieces from the NAM and thereby blending them in with the seawall system you get with this download. You can, of course, as well do this with the NAM’s default hillside transition pieces, but they won’t fit into the seawalls, visually. z_(Name).dat (all optional): A total of 10 additional files that you can choose form that will override your existing MPS lots to give them different base textures. Keep only one of them, or just remove them all if you want to play with the base Maxis white pavement texture (see installation instructions below). Installation: Please move or copy all existing files (except the Readme files) into the Plugins folder of your edition of SimCity 4. After doing so, please choose one texture override. These texture overrides are located one each in all files starting with z_. To apply one, remove all other texture override. To play with the default Maxis White Pavement, remove all texture overrides. You may want to look into the folder “Screenshots Texture Overrides“ to find out how they will look in-game. You can at any time switch to another texture system by replacing the existing texture override file with another one, in-game, the textures will adapt automatically. To uninstall this plugin, please bulldoze all MPS lots in your cities and then remove all MPS files from your Plugins folder. Compatibility: This plugin is only compatible with SimCity 4: Rush Hour or SimCity 4 Deluxe.
  2. Any good seawalls?

Hey so I'm having a little trouble finding the perfect seawall for a marina I'm about to build. Can anyone recommend me some good ones out there?
  3. Stanley Seawalls

    Version 1.0.0

    6,278 Downloads

12/16/15: This was originally released as a PLEX exclusive, and has now been added to the STEX "as-is". Original Readme: Stanley Seawalls: Base Set ~by: blunder This is a simple set of seawalls inspired by and (loosely) mimicking the seawalls in Stanley Park, Vancouver BC. Menu Locations: Transportation > Water Item Order: -10 (near the top) Pieces Contained in this set: 1x left endpiece 1x right endpiece 4x ortho pieces (empty, lightpost only, light and flower planters, light and park benches) 1x Outer Corner (soft) 1x Inner Corner (soft) sadly the soft inner corner doesn't quiiiiite line up right. I've been unable to fix this feature, but will release a hard Inner Corner piece in an upcoming expansion. This set is provided 'as-is' meaning it is not perfect. Graphical flaws exist in this set which can usually be solved by rezooming or changing your viewing angle. What can i say? The game can be funny when displaying narrow geometry. dependencies: none! Feel free to drop any feeback in my BAT thread at simpeg: RIP simpeg. which is where i'll be most likely to see it. Cheers.

  5. Sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I'm having trouble with my Marrast Embankment set. Basically I've a river and on one side I can easily put the embankment sea-wall set there, put on the south bank of my river I can't. I can only get the tree lined parkland on the land, not the sea-wall. Any clues from anybody as to what I'm doing wrong????
  6. Huxley.

Welcome to Huxley, one of the most normal towns in Boomooderie. Huxley's fame comes from the seawalls and dock it has, along with their two time Boomooderie soccer championship trophies. Those were the glory days, until Stephen replaced Georgio, their best player, and ruined the entire team. You can see the Huxley Hustlers in a game against the Bringle Bulls, a rather fair match. The third thing is their multitude of churches, there are a lot of churches. It was the victim of a large snowstorm a while ago, which hit Huxley the hardest. Five feet of snow. Here is Huxley's own mall, Aldritch mall. ... ... ... Here you see the Quiver College, a small college next to a small canal. It's next to the Looker Cinema, a large cinema that screened the new Star Wars, and nearly had a power outage during. Here's their dock. ... ... Here's Huxley's museum, with a special section dedicated to amber fossils. Huxley has a small farm community, but it isn't anything special. After the farms, a long road goes down to this tiny neighborhood. After the bridge at the neighborhood, is a commercial area. It has a seawall, along with a tribute to Victorian architecture. The peach water tower is a small landmark in Boomooderie, known for well, it being a giant peach. Tune in next time for Tellebang, the odd one out.

Our first specialty lot for the new CDK Old Wooden Waterfront style is the classic Seaport Village. Commonly found in most commercial ports and harbors in one form or another, the nautical themed shopping area and tourist attraction is always a winning combination and popular with locals and tourists alike. Our Seaport Village is a CS$$$ lot offering jobs and income from taxes. The city will need to fork out some cash to get it going but its a private enterprise and free to the city once built. This lot is designed for use with the PEG-CDK OWW style lots... but can be used stand alone or with any of the other CDK style lots. It sits on a 6x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes. The beautiful, large yacht is also privately owned and a source of great mystery. The word on the dock is that it's the private party yacht of the Mayor but nobody seems to know for sure... or if they do, they're not talking. But whoever owns it is one lucky son-of-a-seadog, that's for sure. This lot is the core piece of a series or add-on components in the works that will expand the Seaport Village into a much larger and ever-growing seaside shopping complex and tourist attraction. Add-on lots will be designed to expand The Village along the waterfront as well inland away from the water... so be sure to leave room in your cities. This lot is designed for use with the PEG-CDK OWW style lots... but can be used stand alone or with any of the other CDK style lots. It sits on a 6x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes. There are two unique stats listed in the query; Postcards Sold This Month & Reported Seagull Bombings. The Postcards Sold value is dictated by the city's population. The larger the city... the more postcards that will sell. Seagull Bombings are influenced by the current Mayor Rating and you can use this to gauge your performance.. The higher the rating, the fewer the bombings. If fewer than 25 bombings are reported, then you are doing a pretty good job.. **This lot requires the installation of the PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Volume 1 & PEG CDK-REC Prop Pack Volume 1 which are also available here at this site. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
  9. Historic Harbor

    Version 1.0

    12,608 Downloads

Creators: KrashSpeed - BATing Vortext - Lotting/Modding SimCoug - Lotting/Modding Description: Historic Harbor is a comprehensive 'modular set' that includes over 1,000 BATed models, a wide assortment of MMPs, and over 100 individual lots (each with custom icons). We named it 'Historic Harbor' because it is supposed to represent what a harbor might look like in the late 19th century, but that doesn't mean it can't be used in conjunction with modern cities. Look around at many waterfront cities today and you will find traces from a bygone era. Dependencies: None! Everything included in this download has been hand crafted for use with this set and any future 'Historic' add-ons. We will be updating the Historic Harbor - Dependencies with additional props/textures/resource files in order to consolidate everything in one 'master' dependency. Installation: Simply choose the version you wish (HD or SD) and unzip the folder and place into your plugin folder. If you want to play with the accompanying lots and MMPs, then be sure to download those files as well (and place in your plugins folder). What if you change your mind and want to switch from HD to SD (or vise-versa)? No problem! Simply remove the version you don't want and place the new version into your plugin folder. The models will switch automatically and you do not need to bulldoze anything. The set is broken down in an organized fashion, so users who are comfortable with customizing their setup may remove the lots that may not be used. For example you may not want to use any of the 'Under Construction' lots - in that case simply remove the file 'Under Construction.dat' from the Lots folder and those will not show up in your menu when you start the game. If you are using lots from a category that you wish to remove, it is advisable to delete all instances of those lots before you remove them from your plugins folder (per standard SC4 operating procedure). Once installed, the lots will be at the end of the 'Seaport' menu. The lots will be grouped together in similar categories (Pier, Quay, Filler, etc.). Despite their organized appearance, the sheer number of lots will make for lots of scrolling, so if you are a DAMN user, it is recommended that you take advantage of that program for this set. A few stray lots will fall in their respected menu categories, such as the 'bus stop' and 'waste' lots (you will find this lot in the 'power' menu), but 99% of the lots will be in the 'Seaport' menu. Gameplay: For detailed instructions and example regarding the lots and MMPs, you will find everything you need in the 'readme' file located in both the Historic Harbor - Lots download and the Historic Harbor - MMPs download. We encourage everyone to browse through the readme - it contains loads of vital information and it looks really cool! Known Bugs: There are a number of known issues and visual glitches associated with these lots (although easily remedied) and the accompanying readme explains everything in detail. so once again - please read the readme! Developer notes: This is a massive set that has been years in the making. There has been a thorough testing of each piece, but that doesn't mean everything will work perfectly. If you run into any problems, please feel free to contact us (see 'Support' below). For additional information regarding tips, known bugs, and how-to examples, please consult the readme. Please do not distribute any Historic Harbor content without the developers consent. For those who wish to create lots using the models from this set, please feel free to download the 'prop catalog' - it will help sort through the thousands of props that are available. Support: For questions regarding this set, please feel free to visit The Historic Harbor Support Thread over at SimPeg.com or here on Simtropolis. Special Thanks: Thanks goes out to all the folks over at SimPeg who were gracious enough to offer suggestions, ideas and criticism that made this set better than anything the three of us could pull off on our own. Specifically, we would like to thank our volunteer beta testers for graciously donating their time to go through this set and find all our mistakes. -mgb -Paeng -tariel -epicblunder -cmdp123789 -Chris11 -NielsC007 -rathefalcon -Indiana Joe Also, we would like to acknowledge NBVC for providing the BAT script that allows custom LOD's to work at all zoom levels - it makes a world of difference when viewing the Historic Harbor pieces from afar.

Although this file was intended primarily as a dependency for future PEG-CDK REC lots, it can also be used by lot developers to create their own CDK styled lots. The official CDK REC lots use single piece, custom foundation props for each lot which are fixed in size to the specific lot and are largely not re-useable. However, the basic seawall has now been broken down in to its basic components and re-created as individual prop pieces that you can assemble in the Lot Editor. Although the final result is not quite as smooth as the one piece foundation method, its pretty darn close. But I won't lie to you. Fitting these props together in the Lot Editor and lining them up can be a major bee-atch! Its not recommended for the "Impatience Intolerant" among us. If you sucked at Legos... don't try this! However, there are two main advantages to this new system: 1. The seawalls components use less memory and are less game resource intensive. (better overall game performance) 2. Seawalls of virtually any length or depth can be created. You could cover an entire city with seawalls. And don't forget that CDK lots are not limited to the shoreline. These components can be used to create custom retaining walls or elevated plazas or platforms of almost any size or shape. These pieces can even be stacked to create multiple levels on a single lot. Lot developers may use the props contained in this product to enhance the development of their own lots by referencing this material as a "Dependency" only. The contents of this product file may not be altered, removed or copied into any other file. This file may not be redistributed or included with any other lots or material. **This file currently contains an .exe installer suitable for windows users. These files are in the process of being updated with zip files and this message will be removed once the update is complete. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
