Hey there guys - I'm presenting you with 2 new car MMPs. I turned these 60s Polish Car Props made by @moto.kloss into MMPs because even tho we have some very good MMP car options out there, they're usually modern cars that in my opinion can feel a bit out of place in some environments. So I turned around 35 models in that MS Motokloss 60s Car Props into 2 MMPs that will help you create some rural and low wealth scenes in a more realistic way. Dependencies: MS Motokloss 60s-70s Car Props Additional pics: As always: any criticism, reviews and problems, just write below or in my BAT thread.

Hey there guys - I'm presenting you with a slavic/eastern european fire station, but in my opinion this one building here can fit nicely in any kind of environment thanks to its generic look. This one is based on the fire station located at Vabalnikas, Lithuania. Nightlights included. Dependencies: MS Motokloss 60s-70s Car Props Polish Mega Props BSC Common Dependencies Pack Additional pics: As always: any criticism, reviews and problems, just write below or in my BAT thread.

  4. "[...] In the next weeks or in the next month I will post the part II [...]" Well, right, so about that At least I did make it before the end of the year! So we're still on our amazing average of 2.5 entries per year (I always try to bring some kind of special entry during holidays seasons)! As mentioned earlier, today we will get to know the historic Kakisalmi lumber mill, the former paper factory in the city, the industrial park that developed around it and is now the largest employer not only in the city but in the region as well, in addition to the forests, rivers, farms, and villages that surround Kakisalmi. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The industrial development of Kakisalmi began naturally with the extraction of timber from the region's dense forests. Over time, what started as simple wood extraction grew into a profitable industry for the Russian Empire, and with larger government investments after the World War I by the USSR, the Kakisalmi Lumber Mill was established, becoming one the largest in Southeast Karelia. With housing for employees who live far away, connections by railway and a small port, several warehouses, and a large lumber mill, the timber extraction operation in Kakisalmi is one of the largest in all of Karelia. Over the years, a pump and paper mill was built near the lumber mill in an effort to reduce logistics costs and create new jobs to increase the city's population, which was receiving various Soviet investments to develop Kakisalmi and the surrounding region. This triggered the establishment of new industries in Kakisalmi, thus creating the Kakisalmi Industrial Park (formerly the Priozersk Industrial Park). The Soviet government built a railway and a small port to help with the transportation of products, but nowadays, these small docks have become practically obsolete, unable to fully handle the current production. It did not receive significant investments for expansion in the following decades, as this port is only connected to Lake Ladoga, unlike the Viipuri Port, which, in addition to being nearby, is located on the shores of the Gulf of Finland. Very close to the southern entrance of the Industrial Park, a tiny village developed alongside a few farms. On the northern shore of the Vuoksi River, also known locally as the city's entrance, another rural village, Larionovo, developed alongside the region's farms. With only a church, a small school, and a small market, its population heavily relies on Kakisalmi's infrastructure, as they are just 15 minutes away, or essentially only a bridge crossing that connects both banks of the river. And this brief presentation concludes our tour of Kakisalmi, as the main highlights have already been covered... a little while ago, haha. I hope you enjoyed our tour, and I'll leave you with some farewell images. Will we meet again soon? I'm not sure if you still trust my promises, not that you're wrong to doubt, haha, but I hope to post a Christmas message before the end of the year. See you guys!

Hey there guys - Presenting another BAT today. It's a 3x2 commercial lot of a market called Gama - a polish brand. I saw this store while street-viewing Poland and decided to recreate it to fill some gaps in my eastern european cities. Provides about 29 jobs and grows in every tileset since it has a generic look. Nightlights inclued - I can't stress enough how much I hate doing nightlights lol, but they're present on this file. Dependencies: BSC Common Dependencies Pack MS Car Props KOSC SuperSHK Parking Textures As always: any criticism, reviews and problems, just write below or in my BAT thread.
  6. Hey guys, it's time for our annual entry Just kidding about that, I hope I can post more entries this year. The thing is, I started this city back in october I think lol (of course I didnt work on it 24/7 ) so yeah, its kinda hard for me to give you guys more updates since I take some time to finish my cities. This city I will show you guys - Käkisalmi - will be presented in two parts. The first one, which you will see today, is the city itself - the urban area, old city center, apartments blocks, suburbs and etc. In the next weeks or in the next month I will post the part II, which will be focused on the industrial area (with details of the big lumber operation you will be able to see in the overview), farmlands and the surrounds of the city, like the small settlements that lays around Käkisalmi. Fun fact: Every single thing you will see in these pics was manually built, nothing in this tile is growable, the forests included. Yeah, it was kinda Demanding . But let's go to what really matters ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Käkisalmi (former known as Priozersk while it was under Soviet administration) is a city and the administrative center of Käkisalmi District in South Karelia, located at the northwestern shore of Lake Ladoga, at the estuary of the northern armlet of the Vuoksi River on the Karelian Isthmus. It has a population of 70,000 inhabitants, making Käkisalmi the second biggest South Karelian city, only after Viipuri. The most traditional way to reach Käkisalmi is by rail. Situated on the southern edge of the town, this train station was built in the 20th century but using typical Karelian architecture from the 19th century. Our first stop will be at the city's postcard landmark. The Korela Fortress, the main landmark of Käkisalmi, historically served as the focal point for the Karelians of the Karelian Isthmus and alternated between being the northwestern outpost of the Russian realm or the eastern outpost of the Swedish realm. A little to the northeast, there's another famous gathering spot in Käkisalmi. The Kaupunkipuisto (or City Park in english), which brings a taste of the Karelian forests that surround the city, along with the statue of Boris Soininen, who served as the mayor of Käkisalmi for over a decade during the 20th century. This park is a perfect place for an outdoor stroll. Another interesting point in this park that you may have noticed is the building located on the other side of the statue. This is the Käkisalmi Community Cultural Center (Käkisalmen Kulttuurikeskus), a venue where municipal and regional events, art exhibitions, dance performances, cultural gatherings, sports, and much more take place. Everything is open to the public (with few exceptions :P) completely free of charge. The Old Town center of the city stands out from the other constructions you find throughout the city. This is because much of this area was built in the 19th century, before Russian rule, with a beautiful Nordic architecture. You can even see the outline where the old city walls stood, with avenues now separating the old center from the rest of the city. Additionally, we also have this beautiful boardwalk with a marina, another delightful spot for strolls in the city by the lakeside. In the heart of the Old Town, we find two famous landmarks of the Karelians cities: the market square - in front of the town hall - and the main church of the town. Getting married in this church is the dream of every couple in Käkisalmi, leading to fierce competition for available dates for this type of event. Leaving the Old Town behind, we enter the part of the city that developed mainly in the 20th century, under Soviet rule. At this time, the city was renamed Priozersk - an alternative name that is still used on signs throughout the city despite not being officially correct anymore - and the architecture of the buildings began to follow the Soviet standard: primarily focused on practicality and functionality. During this period, there was a boom in the city's growth, driven mainly by increased government investments in the city's industrial area (which we will see in the next chapter), requiring new housing to accommodate the influx of new city workers. In this image, we see the Regional Hospital of Kakisalmi and a franchise of the Russian-origin supermarket Perekryostok. Here we see the Raitis Mäkinen Stadium, home to the pride of the city, Kakisalmi FC, a club that competes in the Tähtiliiga - the premier league of Karelian football. This modern sculpture in the center of the Roundabout was made by the artist Matilda Leskinen in the 2000s, a renowned architect born in Käkisalmi, responsible for various constructions around Karelia and Europe. As we are finishing our tour, we conclude with various aerial images of the city that convey the beauty of Kakisalmi. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you enjoyed this first part of our visit to Käkisalmi. While this was the most laborius city I've ever built since I started playing SimCity 4 around 2010, and it was also the first time I completed a large tile city, it was a very enjoyable city to create. I had to create some BATs for this city in a customizable way, such as the Korela Fortress, create a new Tree Controller, edit textures, etc. But all of this was really fun to do. I like playing SC4 in this sandbox mode, having almost complete control over all aspects of the city. Again, thank you for visiting. If you enjoyed it, please leave a like and if possible, a comment. See you, hopefully, soon

Hey there guys JCP - JulioC Productions - presents you another plugin. This time a pack of 3 buildings in 3 color palettes. They are modded as 2x1 commercial office buildings, it grows only in the Euro tileset, it has nightlight (imho better than my previous plugins) and gives you a bit more than 30 employees per LOT. Dependencies: None! Just download it and put on your plugins folder and you're ready to go! Images: Any problems, criticism, reviews, opinions and etc, are welcomed, you just need to drop a comment below or in my development thread -
  8. Bonus Entry 1 - Happy Holidays

Hey guys! I promised an entry before the end of the year, and well - here I am. But not with a regular entry - but rather with a special entry to wish you all happy holidays. As you - perhaps - know, I am building a city that should be my next entry, and I also have a BAT thread where I post updates on Scandinavian/eastern-European BATs I am working on - in addition to, of course, real-life business. So, to avoid rushing the completion of the city I am working on, I've prepared these two images just to fulfill my promise of an update before the end of the year. I hope it counts, haha --------------------------- As we can see in this photo taken over 50 years ago by a peasant living on a farm at the foot of Mount Kukisvumchorr (Kukisvumtšorrin vuori - in Karelian), in the Kola Province, it must be challenging to be part of the Santa Deniers in Karelia... Some may say that the reason I'm posting this New Year's picture today is that I won't be available in the next few days until January. But the truth is, thanks to the wonders of the time zone, it's already December 31, 2023 here in Karelia - more specifically, 23:59:55 - and we're about to witness the traditional fireworks display in Viipuri Bay. Look at that! in 4 3 2 1 . . . Happy holidays guys - a merry christmas and a happy new year - or as we say here in Karelia, I wish you guys a Hyvii Pyhiä, with a Hyvää Joulua and a Hyvää 2024-vuotta

Hey there guys JCP - JulioC Productions - presents you another plugin. This time a very generic finnish commercial store, based on this 23 Keskuskatu building located in Pieksämäki, but you can find similar ones in almost every small town throughout Finland. It's modded as a 2x2 corner commercial service building, it grows only in the Euro tileset, and there's a beauty salon, a small market and a thai restaurant in the building - alongside with a vacant place. Dependencies: I recon this is not the smallest amount of dependencies you ever saw, but you problably have the majority of theses files, and the ones you dont have, you will need for similar buildings that were made by members of the SimCityPolska BAT team - the same style I'm trying to copy in my plugins BSC MEGA Props CP/BSC Common Dependencies Pack VIP Girafe Flora Pack KOSC SuperSHK Mega Parking Textures BNL Essentials Polish Mega Props MS Motoklos 60s70s Car Props - you just need the MS_Motokloss_60s-70s_CarProps.dat, so if you want you can delete the rest of the files LRM Streetlights Props - again, you just need what is inside the LRMv4 Models & Props folder, no need to keep the rest if you dont want this plugin Any problems, criticism, reviews, opinions and etc, are welcomed, you just need to drop a comment below or in my development thread - aka JulioC Oficina - thank you

Hey there guys JCP - JulioC Productions - presents you another plugin. This time, the first BAT of our collection. The BAT in question is a finnish convenience store, the rKiosk. It's a small convenience store based on a real life counterpart I found while travelling Finland through google maps street view. I've made four versions of the building for you. If you don't want one of them, just delete the corresponding .SC4Lot and you will be good Even though it's an european building, I decided to make it grow in every style, since it has a generic look that in my opinion doesnt look out of place in american cities . They are c$, employ 35 people and grow in stage 2, perfect for small towns or less developed areas. Dependencies: None. How to install: Just drop the folder in your plugins folder located in \Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins Images: PS - About the nightlights: I know, it's far from the best nightlight you've seen on other BATs out there. The thing is - I don't play in night mode, so when I learned how to make BATs for my own consumption I neglected that part of the learning. But as I'm publishing my BATs now, I'm learning from scratch how to light buildings, and well, as you can see, I'm just a beginner in this area, I hope you understand the fact that the lights aren't as beautiful as I would like them to be, I apologize beforehand and hope to improve in the future. Any problems, criticism, reviews, opinions and etc, are welcomed, you just need to drop a comment below, thank you
  11. Entry 3 - Tazovsky

Hey This time the wait wasn't TWO years, right? haha Few months ago I posted a couple pics on the Show us what you're working on, it was the city I was building and was planning to post on my next entry (aka today) but... Unfortunately I had a problem with my very old laptop and I lost my files - maybe permanently, maybe not, can't see this right now tho. I'm with a new PC, nothing special, but a LOT better than the old one, so I started to play the game again and building my plugins folder again. Unfortunately I can't download some mods that I would love to have since the problem with SC4LEX (and kurier.SimCity/simcityplaza too), but I need to say thank you so much to @Tyberius06 for helping me with a few mods I really needed to create the pics I do And since the two first entries of this CJ plus the city I was working on before were a lot more finnish than russian (and I want Karelia to be a mix of both), I've decided to show you guys something a bit different today. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today we're going to see the city of Tazovsky. Tazovsky is a company town, its name derive from Tazovsky Gas Field, one of the largest natural gas field of Karelia. Located on east part of the Kola Peninsula, North Karelia, and inside the Arctic Circle (the reason we are not going to see the amount of trees we usually see today) the vast majority of its 4,000 inhabitanst are employees of KARJÖLYH (Karelian Oil Company, or Karjalan öljy-yhtiö), a state-owned Karelian corporation in the petroleum industry - one of the biggest companies of the country. The arrive on this remote settlement can be made by air, rail, water or motor connection, even though it's a very harsh journey. Tazovsky was constructed in the early 1990s as the base of operations for the exploration and development of the gas field. The city has an estimated amount of 4,000 residents who consists of seasonal workers who are there for a small period of time. Workers are also sent to larger cities on the south for health reasons to counterbalance the harsh cold climate and winter. Thankfully, we're visiting Tazovsky in the summer . Tazovsky public buildings houses winter gardens, canteens, shops, culinary facilities, playrooms, and gyms. The village has a cultural and sports complex, which includes a concert hall, a library, a sports hall, gyms, and a heated swimming pool. Tazovsky also has a powerful medical unit with modern equipment. The Orthodox Church of the Apostle John the Theologian was built in 2001, and its one of the northernmost churches on the planet. East of the center of the city we can find the Tazovsky Gas Fields and Refinery. Between the refinery and the port, we can see the tanks and the fuel terminal. The end of our ~trip here will be on the Port of Tazovsky. This is where tankers refuel and depart towards their destination. Natural gas is typically transported by ship or pipeline. Scenes like the ones below are common in the White Sea or in the karelian countryside. Natural gas is the biggest responsible and main hope for maintaining a comfortable life during the harsh Karelian winter. ---------------------------------------------------- Hope you liked this entry, and I hope I can post a new entry before 2024 to keep this journal alive. See you - soon - space cowboy
  12. Entry 2 - Riutta

*cleaning the cobwebs* Hey, it's been a while, right? I was not having much time to play SC4, and when I had a bit of free-time, I was spending in other things. And, when I could play some game, I was choosing games that didn't take like, half a day just to load the intro But I recently successfully organized my plugins folder and now I can play SC4 again, a bit slow, but playable at least. So, I made this random little town we're going to see today just to get sc4 rhythm again since I forgot how to do basic stuff in this game lol anyway, here's wonderwall the little town of Riutta: _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Riutta is a small town located in the southwestern Karelia, in the region where you can find about a hundred lakes per km². it's just a small, quiet, cozy town crossed by one interstate freeway and the railway, the two main ways to get in the village. as usual in Karelian cities, you can find a market square in the center of the town The other point of interest you can find in every single Karelian town is a church, like the one below Thats it :). Kinda lazy update, I know, but I was really wanting to update my CJ. I hope I dont take another 2 years to post my next entry
  13. Entry 1 - Koria

Koria The first city we'll meet is Koria - a small docks port located in the south of Karelia. This small-sized (or even medium to karelian standards) city is located at the margin of the Gulf of Finland and it was founded to be a safe haven to the swedish navy in the 18th century. The small port of Koria is located at the western part of the town and has received investments from the Karelian Government in the past years, with plans for future expansion and modernization being discussed. A small industrial park and a garbage disposal facility is located near the port. The weather isn't always the better, but the work must be done ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In this time of the year the weather can be a bit harsh and kinda depressing, but better days are coming. As we're approaching the city center, the weather starts to clear a bit. Here we can see the village of Kurimo, which lays in between the port and the town. As we arrive in the town, our first destiny is the Market Square. The city center is located by the water so there is seawall where you can walk, sit and watch a beautiful sunset/sunrise. If we move a bit to the east we will find the wealthiest neighbourhood of Koria - a place with big houses, nice cars, pools and yes, a marina. Football is the summer favorite sport of the karelians. Pro and amateurs football fields can be found all over the country. And if we move to the north part of the town, we start to see the famous "khrushchyovka" - communist apartment blocks a soviet era heritage - and low-wealth neighbourhood in general. And we will end our journey at the beach of Luotsi, a small farm village located in the west of Koria. But unfortunately not everyday is a good day to take a sunbath. And we were lucky. 3 days after our trip it started to snow and it got pretty, pretty cold. Hope you guys liked Koria
