  1. Best real estate options in New Udanani

Tourists to New Udanani this year... Although New Udanani is a pretty new land in terms of urbanized development, it nonetheless draws some interest from foreign investors and tourists. As is the case with many other places around the World, real estate is one of the most coveted commodities in this land. Regardless whether one wants to buy a home for personal, professional or tourist reasons, New Udanani is in no shortage of interesting properties that can catch the eye of potential buyers. What places stand out in this respect, though? Where can one find best possible offers without losing time and money on mediocre or dubious deals? To answer these questions, you may want to consult a neat, star-based ranking below, prepared by PRICK (Property-Realty Intertribally Cooperating Koalition) which lists some of the best places to go home-hunting. The list below analyzes several key elements that are important in the choice of a home. The scores are then averaged for your convenience, providing a full picture of what to expect in each of the places presented. Categories under evaluation are as follows: Price availability - understood as an initial budget required to buy a fair-quality property Housing costs - ongoing costs required to maintain the property like water, electricity and heating bills as well as taxes and maintenance or repair fees Safety and services - availability and quality of municipal services like healthcare, police and fire departments, technical relief organizations and education facilities Commuting - a measure of how easy or not it is to move around the city and reach places outside of the neighborhood Environment - understood as the natural beauty and/or friendly architecture in the area (or lack of these) Noise conditions - defined as the noise from local traffic and businesses as well as that caused by an average, local neighbor And now, on to the list of the best real estate options in New Udanani, complete with pictures! #15 Many say, that non-Activators are generally unfit to live in the tribe's cities due to their haphazard structure, high traffic levels and increased pace of living. In many aspects it is true and anyone who seriously considers joining the tribe or living on their turf should seek neighborhoods like Eshurra Enclave. Located atop a hill ridge overlooking the tribe's capital, this small residential zone is somewhat more peaceful than the rest of the city. #14 One of the central points of Greater Careless Island, the Fondlou District is a densely populated neighborhood which provides housing for the majority of Cape Careless citizens. Although fairly crowded, the area enjoys supreme location, surrounded by tropical forests and white-sand beaches. It also has an easy access to a beautiful marina. Price levels in the area are low, probably owing to the generally low income levels of the Slacker population. #13 These residential zones, located along two main roads in the city of Cashflow, are one of the best real estate opportunities in the Businesspeople-owned cities North of the Seruklaj River. Low and medium-wealth residences here are surrounded by parks and good schools. A city hall is nearby and the shopping / office zone is just about four bus stops away. As retired movie heroes say - "it's a simple life". #12 Sirli Park is the second oldest neighborhood in the Businesspeople capital. It is also one of the most prestigious, luxurious and... expensive ones in the entire New Udanani. The neighborhood was also a witness of numerous historical events, like the destruction of Profit Hill's original Downtown by the way of volcanic eruption. The area is wedged between the new City Center and the Volcano Park. It also enjoys proximity of good medical facilities and a prestigious high-school. Even better, all these features are accessible within walking distance. If you are ready to pay up the exorbitant price per square meter here, your new apartment awaits. #11 Besmartia is an affluent neighborhood, located on the Eastern side of Pireki Canals. It is close to Humanities University of Breadwinner Ponds, making it a good choice for academic teachers and scientists. The neighborhood is a little isolated but, at the same time, not completely secluded from busier parts of the city. Good choice if you want to enjoy city life but at the same time don't want to be right in the middle of things. #10 A cozy little street, located on the Southern edge of the Gridlayer's capital. Properties along Reeknhurrlet have beautiful views of the sea and receive mad amounts of sunlight throughout the year, making this street a good place to be if you are a summer person or suffering from depressed mood. Proximity of the beaches is a mixed blessing - you can simply walk downstairs to sunbathe but kid tourists in high season tend to be noisy... #9 Lenauquiri is often compared to suburban areas of UK and the United States. It is a sleepy, residential area in the Resident capital of Bedroom. Given the tribe's affinity to good manners and tidiness, the neighborhood is a good choice for those who like peace, order and quaint, elegant flower gardens with perfectly-trimmed grass. #8 The central axis of Quigley Beach and also a strip along which some interesting properties are available. Price range and apartment standards are very diverse, allowing both rich and money-short individuals to buy a home. The area is fairly well communicated with the city center and industrial zone via the avenue and a rail line running parallel to it. Electric Avenue owes its name to the fact that it once led directly to the city's first power plant. It's NOT named after the song (but you can still rock down to it if you must...). #7 Greener Hills is the natural jewel of New Udanani. It is a tiny, picturesque village, located in the heart of a strictly protected nature preserve which is, no less, a promised land for those who love silence, clean air and positive solitude. The place also stands out due to low real estate prices and taxes. However, it is just a small village so a visit to a modern hospital or a shopping mall requires a fairly long car drive to neighboring towns. Good for a summer cottage or if you are an... #6 In terms of prestige, Laarm Mass District of Newfoundwealth is often compared to that of Profit Hill's Sirli Park. This fairly new residential area offers supreme quality of apartments, very practical public transportation solutions and nice landscaping with a nice streak of blue infrastructure running through the middle of the neighborhood. One of the disadvantages is a pretty haphazard collection of postmodernist buildings scattered around the area which may be aesthetically displeasing to some. #5 Kos, the oldest residential area of the Smileyface capital, is in many ways a "happy place" that many strive to find. It has very good access to various services (including the city hall), entertainments and sports facilities. It is also located within attractive natural surroundings which consist of natural jungle copses. The social makeup of the inhabitants is varied, which makes for a very lively, energetic and supportive community which is full of ideas. #4 Paratus is a recreational neighborhood located in the town of Dividend, which itself is a part of the Profit Hill Metropolitan Area. The central location of Paratus is a huge park with many winding roads, schools and sports facilities. All sides of the park are flanked by residential areas, one of which can perhaps be your new home. Commuting is fairly good and facilitated by nearby bus and monorail stations. Security and services work well. #3 It might be surprising that a city which specializes in arms production is so high on the list of most desired real estate locations, but Trigger Happy is held in high esteem due to low prices, low taxes and stunning natural beauty of the Cat-Nilam Bayou. The city is also known for its botanical garden which is the first to have ever been established in New Udanani. Beautiful town, well worth the interest if you don't mind mosquitoes and an occasional cracking of gunfire from the Armacorp's test range. #2 What Tralfa-Kuosan District lacks in terms of age and history, it more than makes up with its unique surroundings and unusual placement, as if on a bridge or a boardwalk. This residential area is a part of the Smileyface tribe's high-tech zone and it is nestled into the Northern edges of the Cat-Nilam Bayou - a Smileyface tribe's cherished natural treasure. This beautiful location alone is a strong argument to consider buying a property here. The high-tech zone is also anticipated to grow, which will undoubtedly result in many interesting job opportunities in the near future. #1 If you want to feel genuinely cared for, safe and loved, Wellbeing, the capital of the Altruists, will fully meet your needs. This beautiful town is hidden among old forests and meadowlands which serve as a hiding place to numerous wild animals. It can be your hiding place too. As is the case with all other Altruist towns, the healthcare here is perfect, criminal safety and disaster relief are guaranteed and education follows highest standards (university education is lacking, though, but available in Optimsm, about an hour away via a HSR). Comment replies: @Tamijo - Thank you. It's good to know! @Terring - I knew you'd like it. Also note that Volcano Park allows to reach the new Downtown from the city's Western edge entirely by foot, allowing zero carbon emissions (though breathing is not entirely carbon neutral, is it? ) @TogaMasterJohn - I strongly recommend you go from the oldest BATs ever made (pages 160 and the like) and work your way to the top. Time consuming, yes. But there are many gems down there, well worth the hassle. Some of them you can see in my cities (though still not out in force yet). @Ke|is - Thank you! @Frank Goldberg - Hello Frank and thank you for your interest. This is my private region which I have made from scratch in SC4 Mapper. It wasn't uploaded to the site.

  5. Hi! I just downloaded and installed the NAM, and its working fine from what I can tell. I have one issue though: I play the game on a RAZER gaming laptop, and the keyboard does not have a HOME or END key, which are needed to rotate the NAM items. Is there any alternative to these keys, or is there a way to remap them to some keys I do have? Thanks! DrPhroggy

Hotondo Homes Alpha237 Series, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- The unimaginatively named 'Alpha 237' is a series of 4 separate modern house models (all in a building family for heaps of variety) that are designed for smaller lots. These are based on floor plans by the spec-builder 'Hotondo' Homes. They are reasonably accurate renditions: all are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with a double car garage, formal and informal living areas, study, media room, etc. I have made a number of different lot variations: 1x1, 2x1, 1x2, 1x3 and 2x3. All of them are growable R§§ on all tilesets. These homes are designed to grow early on in a cities' development. Use the 'make historic' checkbox to stop them from upgrading. They are great for a modern suburban look and have occupant numbers that are in keeping with the games default values. They are suitable for CAM and non-CAM cities alike. --------------------------------------- STATS R§§: Lot size : 1x1, 2x1, 1x2, 1x3, 2x2 & 2x3 Growth Stage: 1-3 (low density residential zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 142 Capacity Satisfied: R§ 18, R§§ 11 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 1 Mwh Water Consumed: 2 Gal/Month Building Style: Houston/Euro/NY/Chicago Occupant Group: Medium Wealth Residential Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. You must select only one file - depending on which version you use. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. 7. Show us the place where you live. If the topic already exists, I apologize. Then just move please. This is the place where I live. Hamburg-Langenhorn / Germany. It is not the whole place, of course, but only the small part where I live. The whole thing was created after a satelite picture. In a few places I cheated because the game just did not want to join...... ;-) I had to build some buildings myself. Everyone who lives here has recognized it. So it can not be soooo bad..... :-)

  9. Hi everyone. I'm not fan about the actual residential system. Houses are really big, there is not so much differencies between low level and high level (1-5), plots footprints are the same, so the gardens have the same size, more or less... the SC4 system is for me really more interesting, even if there is only three levels. (SC$, SC$$, SC$$$) : bigger gardens, bigger houses, etc. The idea is to use always the same footprint size : 3x3 ; with a few 1x3 to fit in the empty spaces. We dont need to have a building on each footprint : growables gardens (ponds, tennis courts, swimming pool, kitchen gardens, garages, english gardens.) Growable gardens are usefull to allow big gardens for expansive mansions. At the opposite, 3x3 plots will be shared by two, three, for level one or two houses. By using alway the same plotsize, the game will randomly use all the dowloaded assets. It's could be really easier to manage the average size of the gardens : if for the level 5 there are only 10 houses and 20 gardens plots, each house will have a better chance to have big gardens. Level one : 15 houses - 0 gardens, Level two : 15 houses - 0 gardens, level 3 : 10 houses - 5 gardens, level 4 - 10 houses - 10 gardens, level 5 - 10 houses - 20 gardens for example. Level one buildings : Level two buildings : Level 3 buildings : Level 4 buildings : Level 5 buildings : What do you think about this system, how to improve it ?

  14. Home Economics [Update 02]

New Philadelphia Home Economics (Update 02) The population of Grays Ferry is growing, and so is their need for some home furnishings. Every small town in America seems to experience it and it's Grays Ferry's turn. Walmart and Target are wanting to expand and where else but here! This is A101, aka Glenwood Boulevard, the main road through Grays Ferry. The amount of traffic is taking its toll on the surrounding farms and some are looking to sell to developers. Some Grays Ferrians are against it, but the vast majority are for the change. This photo shows were the construction will be taking place. Along with the new shopping development will come road widening and extension for Fairmont Road. The contractors are all set up and ready to go. Target is the first store to be built followed by Walmart. While the building construction has been occurring the DOT has been working on the improvements to Fairmont Road. With all of the excavation complete the road surface is ready for the asphalt. With the construction complete it's time to go shopping. Fairmont Road is done for now but the DOT has laid a path for further extensions. Also, some small offices snuck their way in along Glenwood Blvd. And finally, some close-ups of the stores. Some basic info about Grays Ferry: Population (City/Region): 4483/47862 Main industry: Agriculture Commercial jobs: 3908 Industrial jobs: 2513 Funny note: I based the story line of this update on the growing population, but actually the population has decreased slightly. Still, the need for shopping is there since the smaller population has also become very wealthy. That's it for this update. Please let me know what you'd like to see in future updates. Thanks for reading! P.S. Let me know what you think of the road sign theme.

EBLTeam proudly presents, European house Add-on's latest addition: Azuleijitos Apartment European house Add-on is an effort to make your city's more variable in terms of housing, commercial and industry without either filling much your plugins folder nor unbalance the game. This is archived by a simply addition to the maxis original building families, which allows you to have more buildings and at the same time less space taken by dependencies and lot files. This building was made in accordance with the size of the Maxi's original building and it's occupant capacity. The rest of the values were archived using the PIM-X, which provides the best balanced values possible at the moment. 25. Mac Book home/end keys

Ok, this has come up a lot. The question of how to rotate buildings whilst using a a Mac Book (be it pro or not). The problem is that these key boards do not have the home or end keys. It has a simple solution, this is: Press the fn key and the left or right keys. This method can also be used for rotating the map, because the Mac Books key board also does not have the page up page down keys. Just press the fn key and the up or down keys. That should give you all the keys needed to play simcity 4 on a Mac Book.
