if I have an avenue flup under straight road, which puzzle piece is needed? I see why they are called puzzle pieces now - their so puzzling to figure out! -

Thanks, that's a perfect workaround. I was just watching your NAM tutorial earlier today. really good stuff. I love the angled neighbor connection tricks... -
Hi guys... I have a question, probably so simple I'll be laughed out of the forum, but here it is: What puzzle piece do I use to enable a flup for straight underground route under TLA-3 avenue? I've tried using the subway connection method, but it won't turn into a road, so I have been trying to do it the old fashioned way with puzzle pieces. I can't find one for TLA-3 though. Using the one labeled straight underground route under road doesn't work, as when I do it it plops a regular road piece into my TLA-3 network. I also have an avenue under TLA-3 with the same problem... I'd appreciate any help anyone could give...

I'm actually using the 1920x1200 resolution, and that indeed triggers the issue. as soon as I drop a resolution level, open and save the city tile, it goes away, but re-appears if I go back to 1920x1200... Now that I understand what's causing it I'm happy enough. I don't really post lots of shots of my poor attempts at city building anyway...

Thanks, that did the trick!

Hey all. Just downloaded and rendered the Plantation Bay map, and once it was done, most of the tiles had an ugly blue-black bar along the bottom of the tile - like a black eye color. I had this problem when using a pre-rendered version of Digby also. The region tiles looked fine until I opened and save one, and then it develops the same sort of nasty bar as my own rendering does. I've attached a file showing the phenomenon on my Plantation Bay render. Anyone seen this problem and know how to fix it? PS: I should say that the bug only appears in the region view. It does nothing to interfere with gameplay as far as I can tell...

Hey everyone! I'm new to modding SC4, though I've been playing off and on since its release. Just coming back now after a long hiatus, and have discovered the wonderful world of mods. I'm trying to install the monstrosity that is BSC Functional Seaports and I am running into a problem with the dependencies, go figure. It seems I need some Pegasus dependencies (even though the forums seem to be saying they're incompatible (?). I have tried to get these dependencies, trusting in the fact that Cleanitol says I need them and don't have them, but all the links to the files seem to be dead. I've included a screenshot of the cleanitol report so you can see the files I need... Does anyone know where I can get them, or can you explain in simple terms whether I actually need them or not? Please try to use small words, my head is spinning from tracking down and installing all those dependencies. Too bad modders here didn't use the Vortex Mod Manager to install all their mods... that thing is simple enough even for me to use! lol... Whoops, one more dependency missing: PEG_CDK--IND_205

yeah, I got the flat green map after getting the digby folder to show up. Unfortunately when I use the key combo and show it the config file it says "File is too small (16x16), should be (1025x1025)" and refuses to do anything from there. I've been trying to track down the Landscape editor mentioned in someone's fixit post for this issue, but I can't seem to find it. You wouldn't believe how many different Landscape Designers there are out there... I think I would like to try the zipped file thing... let me know the link and I'll give it a whirl! Thanks!

I downloaded and saved this file using instructions I found in a howto on this site. Had a bit of an issue with saving it to the Regions folder in the C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG\SimCity 4\Regions folder - when opening the game and trying to load the region, it didn't show up in the list. After scratching my head a bit and having a banana, I figured out it had to be saved in \Documents\Gog\Simcity4\regions. Once I figured this out the instructions provided worked right up until I tried to open the config file. When I tried it said the file was the wrong size (16x16) when it should be much bigger... i forgot exactly how big, but it was 4 digits, no 2. Any ideas? I've seen the map in Rob's tutorials, and I liked it, so I would love to actually use it...

Thanks to everyone who helped me, or attempted to - whether successful or not I really appreciate the attention! I found a little freeware program that allows me to remap keys via a virtual keyboard, and I have got the home and end keys mapped to my square brackets keys. It works great! Now I just have to run to the pharmacy to get some aspirin to help with the headache of trying to actually USE all those NAM things without having a clue!

Hi! I just downloaded and installed the NAM, and its working fine from what I can tell. I have one issue though: I play the game on a RAZER gaming laptop, and the keyboard does not have a HOME or END key, which are needed to rotate the NAM items. Is there any alternative to these keys, or is there a way to remap them to some keys I do have? Thanks! DrPhroggy
