Made a little progress of this river & shoreline MMP project recently. And since it would be too much if I wait for it to be done first, thought I should start writing an entry for it and chipping on my todo list. So, here's a little progress... Rural Landing Strip It's a small landing strip with just dirt and sand for the runway. Barely enough for the crop dusters and small airplanes transporting produce of the local farms in the area. Rural Dock Mainly for the olive farm, but the local farmers along the shoreline also use this dock. Here they load their produce and send them outside of the town. Sims also come here to buy fresh produce directly from the local farmers. Rural Flying School With the airplanes become such a major instrument to the life in the town, whether for passenger and transporting goods, it's necessary to have a flying school to train sims into skillful pilots. Although, there are lots of complaints about the runway that is clearly need a little bit of expansion, especially considering that this is for beginners learning to fly. But they mayor just ignore it and told them "If the runway is not enough, just use the river... git gud" And here for the main actions (turn on the volume 🔊) Probably the coolest shots I caught by accident. I was recording for a landing, but got a better one instead. How would you rate the skill of this pilot? Also, made some of these short showcases of the area. I thought you guys would love these too, so here they are. --- Okay, that's all for this entry. And since I'm doing this Youtube thing, please give the videos a like if you enjoy them. That would help my channel a lot, I mean seriously... that helps A LOT. Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you again on the next one. Cheers! --- Bonus (just photo dump)

DOCKWORKERS The Great Age of Discovery transpired between the 15th and 17th Centuries when ships of the European monarchies sailed to the far corners of the Earth in search of – what else – trade. And the 19th Century could truly have been said to be the Age of Industry and Commerce – fuelled by the bustle and wealth of seaports such as Liverpool, London, Hamburg, and Rotterdam. And before that, the cities of the ancient Hanseatic League had created thriving harbours for trade. But behind the romance and adventure of the High Seas – and the lure of fantastic wealth – were the simple dock workers. The men who’s daily labour kept the cosmos in motion. They were not rich, nor famous, but every day they unloaded ships arriving with exotic cargoes and loaded other ships with cargoes bound for equally exotic destinations. In the days of the Hanseatic League, the stevedores (dock labourers) formed “brotherhoods”, and the jobs were passed from father to son. During Henry VIII’s reign the “London Dockmen” formed a “Guild” and were granted a Royal Charter to accept young boys into apprenticeship. “Dockmen” were vital and essential elements of every harbour – big or small. The “people” in SC4 are just as vital – they bring our carefully crafted scenes to “life”. Without them, the cities in the game would be “lifeless” – a series of “Ghost towns”. Harbours and seaports are crowded, bustling places with work in progress in all directions. We have created an ingenious series of dock workers that will help you bring your harbours to life and lend authenticity to your scenes. How to use This pack contains .SC4model-files and props as .SC4desc-files. So, by installing this pack nothing will directly appear in your game. You can use the props on your own lots or convert the SC4models into buildings, as you please. Since most props are to be used on water lots and props naturally align with the surface level, they will sink to the sea floor, if you do not stick to the guidelines on how to use props on water lots. Finally you will need to follow the instructions on how to make a lot transparent. You will find the props in any Lot-Editor under the prefix A_1P_h_ As per request from the community, I have also included a version of the ship without historic flags and crew. Please visit @Dreadnought's CJ to get detailed descriptions and the historical backgrounds to these prop packs. You will see a wonderful display of the results of our long collaboration there and can get a preview of what might be hidden in the coming prop packs or simply get some inspiration for your own harbour! -

So you may wonder, what's it for today's news? Well, here it just open, towards the northern sea and Kaile Bay the first boat club in the nation: Brown Beach Club. This place, honorably named after the rocky and brown sand of the city's shore, is now a milestone in the enormous offer of touristic attractions of the region. With three runways, it has a capacity of almost a hundred boats, and with just a couple months open, it is beginning to fill up. The location it's just as mesmerizing, just beside the Palace's Grounds Isle, well protected in the little peak just north. The renowned Mr. Chip Chop, who owns the magnificent Tarrë Swamps and the recently opened Mr. Chip Club & Hotel at Grante Josam, has stablish his designs for beginning a new touristic empire which may race the famous Aurë Theme Parks, here at Nort Kaile and Malaquie Town. Who may say, is there something under his pocket? ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨ ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨ At last, we salute you with the upcoming news on this magnificent place: the history of Nort Kaile is always the coastline. At first, a major avenue, some house and stores. As time pass through, the city thrive in power, as for today takes place just behind Tarrë. We may say that this Upfront Hood, as rich in memories, is well stablished in its unique urbanistic structure. I've searched without success I am trying to find a plain vertical dock wall that could be used for the appearance of a former dockland wharf area that has been redeveloped - something like the steel quay walls you see in a lot of port areas but without any industrial lots - just an open paved waterfront. The closest I've found that looks modern is the Marrast Embankment kit but as I say I want something sheer vertical perhaps with railings. I'm creating a city area along the lines of Canary Wharf in London

Welcome to Huxley, one of the most normal towns in Boomooderie. Huxley's fame comes from the seawalls and dock it has, along with their two time Boomooderie soccer championship trophies. Those were the glory days, until Stephen replaced Georgio, their best player, and ruined the entire team. You can see the Huxley Hustlers in a game against the Bringle Bulls, a rather fair match. The third thing is their multitude of churches, there are a lot of churches. It was the victim of a large snowstorm a while ago, which hit Huxley the hardest. Five feet of snow. Here is Huxley's own mall, Aldritch mall. ... ... ... Here you see the Quiver College, a small college next to a small canal. It's next to the Looker Cinema, a large cinema that screened the new Star Wars, and nearly had a power outage during. Here's their dock. ... ... Here's Huxley's museum, with a special section dedicated to amber fossils. Huxley has a small farm community, but it isn't anything special. After the farms, a long road goes down to this tiny neighborhood. After the bridge at the neighborhood, is a commercial area. It has a seawall, along with a tribute to Victorian architecture. The peach water tower is a small landmark in Boomooderie, known for well, it being a giant peach. Tune in next time for Tellebang, the odd one out.

I'm not sure if this was done or possible but I'm trying to create a park which is plopable on shoreline like a water pump does. This is what I got so far, a water pump that looks like a wooden dock and no texture yet. wooden_dock.zip

This second, optional set of eleven optional 32m and 48m dockland piers contains several pieces with street access and jobs. Further to these sets there are additional optional Warehouse Lots, a Dockland Ferry, and a Dockland Rail Freight Depot available separately. Like all dockland pieces, they contain timed props and thus use the same set of WMP dependencies. The download contains individual lots rather than a combined DAT, so you can pick and choose which to install. All pieces are self-leveling and will lower the terrain similar to other harbour lots. Note: The two resource files (WMP_Dummies.dat & WMP_RDock_Resource.DAT) are included with each set but are required only once. Optional 32m & 48m docks: Lot sizes: 2 x 2 tiles; 2x3 tiles, 3x3 tiles; Menu position: Water Transit Jobs: varied (see below) Plop cost: varied Bulldoze cost: varied Monthly cost: § 10 ea. Power Usage: varied Water Usage: varied Pollution: Water: 3 over 4 tiles; Garbage: 32 over 4 tiles ea. Job Details: 48m Warehouse A - IM: 18 48m Warehouse B - IM: 22 Fertilizer Filling - IM: 8 Crane Pier - IM: 5 Dependencies: Note: If you already downloaded the dependencies for the Docklands Base Set you do NOT need these again! To ensure the proper functionality, make sure the files mentioned below are installed in your plugins folder. WMP Dependencies - you do need all of them: * wmp_ferry_props01.dat * wmp_power_props01.dat * wmp_rdock_docks01.dat (for 16m docks & corners) * wmp_rdock_docks02.dat (for 32/48m docks) * wmp_rdock_props01.dat * wmp_rdock_props02.dat * wmp_rdock_vehicles.dat * wmp_texture07.dat (contains pathing exemplars) External Dependencies: * BSC Mega Props - JES Vol01.dat * BSC Mega Props - JES Vol04.dat * BSC Mega Props - JES Vol06.dat Credits: Thanks to everyone around the Pegasus site & teams; as always, Dave for his patience with testing this stuff; NBVC and Murimk for their GMax advice. Credits also go to Max Grueter for his Working Class Heroes, and the number of anonymous creators at the 3D Warehouse. Problems? If you have problems with this lot it is most likely that you did not download all the dependencies or - just as likely - that we made a mistake. You can contact us via email at comments@workingman-productions.co.uk. Best include a screen-shot illustrating the problem.- 12 Comments

The CDKM Dock Extension allows you to build that Mega Marina you've always wanted. No longer are you limited to long walks on a short pier... so-to-speak. You can now extend your Marina docks out as far as want... even to Infinity & Beyond!! The Dock Extensions are two 3x3 ploppable water lots that plop fully in the water... ideally at the end of the docks on the PEG CDKM Marina & Marina Docks lots. The lots are modular and can be plopped continually out as far as you want. The two lots are similar... but each have different boats in various slips to provide some visual variety. The lots are pure eye candy with no game impacting properties of any kind. They are free to plop and costs nothing to maintain. It will cost you §5 to bulldoze, though. The lots will plop at the perfect height, automatically... no matter what the water depth is. Just line it up... and plop. ** These lots require the PEG CDKM Marina. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

The CDK3-SP RCI Dock is a simple 1x wide lot that adds an almost endless amount of diversity to your seaport complex. The lot is shorter... only 3x tiles deep instead of 5... and that leaves 2 rows of tiles open for you to add whatever you want. Plop several of these together and create a wide, zoneable area that your seaport complex will appear to wrap around. Obviously, zoning the open area for Industry will add a lot of visual and functional variety to your seaport complex. But the versatility certainly does not stop there. You could also zone for RES or COM... or use the space for some needed civic services, such as bus or subway stops, fire or police protection... or even parks or plazas. The only limit is your imagination.... and a two tile depth, of course. For obvious reasons, this lot does not have any jobs and therefore does not require road access. Each instance of the lot is §55 to plop... but like most CDK3-SP lots, there are no monthly maintenance costs. ** This lot requires the following CDK3 dependency files:PEG-CDK3-SP SEAPORT SUPER PAK PEG Security Fencing Kit All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

This is a flat region with two "mountains". It has a harbor and an island in the Downtown. This region is great to build big cities on it. I hope you have a lot of fun with it. How to use the Greyscale in terraformer: 1. Create a new folder in your "regions" subdirectory. This will be the name of the region. 2. Copy config.bmp to the new region folder. 3. Launch SC4TerraFormer. 4. Select the region folder you just created. 5. Click "Ok". 6. The full program will launch. Close the "Overview" window. 7. On the menu on the left, click "Global Tools." 8. Under "Global Tools," select "Import image." 9. Navigate to the folder where you have saved the greyscale and click on the file. Press "open". 10. Save and exit SC4TerraFormer. 11. Load the region you just created. 12. Play. (Don't be alarmed by the colors; when each tile is opened, the colors will change to your normal ones. Thanks to mkaustin for this guide. Note: The grayscale image cannot be rendered in the game using the standard Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R method. Terraformer is needed to do it as explained above. Or alternatively Mapper can be used too. However for ease of installation, you can install from the Rendered zip file which is attached. Just copy this folder into your Regions and then it can be loaded up. Once saving each tile it'll appear with proper region view colours. -

Not to be out done by their fire fighting brethren, your local Police Department now has a water borne presence along your coasts, rivers and harbors. Equipped with some of the finest patrol and Maritime enforcement vessels afloat, your Sims will sleep well knowing they are protected both on land and at sea. The OWW2 Police Dock is a standard, medium-sized police precinct in all regards, costs and properties. It has police cars that can be dispatched as with any other police station. The police boats, of course, are for show and can not be dispatched. The lot is 3x3 in size with a center transit-enabled driveway. The lot is fully OWW2 compliant with a boardwalk and parking lots that line up with other OWW2 lots. For help creating the perfect terrain for CDK lots, we strongly recommend reading The Official CDK Tutorial. ** This lot requires the following dependencies PEG-CDKM Marina PEG-OWW2 Resource Pack 1 All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

The Harbor Village by COBB: TWELVE lots comprising a village that you can plop out in the water in any configuration you like. Are your sims tired of their sim rat-race, and looking for a more tranquil retreat? Offer them an alternative with the Harbor Village by Cobb. The twelve lots included in this pack are: 1) Large blue house 2) Medium red house 3) Small modern green house 4) Small cabin 5) Marketplace 6) Marina 7) Lighthouse 8) 2-tile Dock 9) Corner Dock 10) Center Junction Dock 11) End Dock 12) Land/Water Junction Version 2 is a major overhaul done entirely by Andreas Roth, who manages the website: http://simszone.de I am greatly indebted to him for putting so much work into the lots. He made the power usage a more reasonable level, changed the query sound, and also made very attractive and useful menu icons. Thank you Andreas! The lots are only 25 simoleans each to plop, and incur no cost for upkeep or to bulldoze. Take note that water lots are difficult to position properly, so it may take some practice. Also note that the land/water junction lot may show up strangely unless your terrain is relatively low and level. However, this lot is not necessary if you decide not to include it in your village. If you would like to keep your landmark menu more free of clutter, you may delete any of the individual lots you don't want (model, desc, and lot file) without harming the village as a whole. I would recommend placing all 36 files in a subfolder in your plugins directory. The lots function only as landmarks, and do not contain residents or jobs. At this stage, they are only for appearance. A growable version is unfortunately not possible for water lots. See the readme file for more info and credits. I hope that you enjoy using my Harbor Village! --COBB -CB Note: Tidied up description formatting a little.
