The Causeway Terraforming Tutorial. This is a simple HTML tutorial mostly saved from the original WMP site and a bit expanded and updated. This is NOT a game file. It doesn't contain any LOTs or models/props, texturues. This is a tutorial, a documentation. Credits: DocRorlach and the WMP team and his associates for creating the original tutorial. David (djp) for keeping the original site alive so many years, and letting us rehosting the files on the exchanges Tyberius06 (STEX Custodian) and xxdita for the restoration/rehosting of these contents.

WMP Mega Textures v1.02 is a dependency pack, which superseds many of the previously released single, individual WMP texture packs and the previous WMP Mega Textures by DocRorlach. This is a dependency package, and it doesn't contain any ploppable or growable elements. Although it can be used for creating new lots with Maxis Lot Editor or PIM-X. Since the original workingman-productions.co.uk/ website is no longer up and running, the decision has been made, that these contents of DocRorlach's will be re-hosted on the main exchanges (LEX and STEX) as legacy contents on behalf of DocRorlach. For easier access and due to a more userfriendly approach, we put together these mega packs, which are completely replacing the previous smaller prop packs. Some of the single wmp texture packs and the previous wmp mega textures also contained custom transit (TE) paths, which have been taken out from the new mega texture pack and they will be released with the NEW WMP Essentials. This new Mega Texture set contains the textures from all the previosly released WMP Texture packs (WMP Textures 1-10 and the WMP Mega Textures) and it also has the textures from the previous wmp_spam_freight_props2, rfy_warehouse and rfy_cardealer props, which contained some textures. It is highly recommended to use the attached cleanitol file (WMP Mega Textures v1.02 cleanitol.txt) and remove all the listed contents. The best way to do it, if you use the BSC Cleanitol TM (v1.0) tool. Install the application (if you don't already have), run it, browse the attached *.cleanitol.txt file and let the program remove the listed elements. Also from now, these mega prop packs are required to be referenced as dependencies instead of the single prop packs. Installation: Unzip the whole bundle, or COPY the "WMP" folder from the *.zip into your plugin folder. You don't need to keep the "_Documents" folder. To uninstall, bulldoze any instance of this lot in your city, then remove the file(s) from your Plugins. For further details, please read the provided readme AND IF you still have questions, ask @Tyberius06. Credits: DocRorlach, the WMP Team pLynn and the RFY Team for creating these custom textures and the original texture packs. David (djp) for keeping the original site alive so many years, and letting us rehosting the files on the exchanges xxdita and Tyberius06 (and the STEX Custodian) for putting together the mega packs and making the files available again. Support: These WMP/DocRorlach creations are now legacy contents and therefore their support is very limited, however support from the wider community can be requested here or in the STEX Custodian General Support Topic. Best include a screen-shot illustrating the problem.

The WMP Essentials v1.0 is a must have dependency pack for all the previously released WMP custom contents by DocRorlach. It completely replaces the previously released wmp_dummies.dat file. This is a dependency package, and it doesn't contain any ploppable or growable elements. DO NOT USE THIS PACK FOR YOUR OWN LOTTING PROJECTS!!! It is highly recommended to use the attached cleanitol file (WMP Essentials.cleanitol.txt) and remove all the listed contents. The best way to do it, if you use the BSC Cleanitol TM (v1.0) tool. Install the application (if you don't already have), run it, browse the attached *.cleanitol.txt file and let the program remove the listed elements. This Essential file contains following elements from the previously released WMP creations: - all the previously released wmp dummies/blank model files - all the different WMP custom queries and UIs from the prop packs, resource files and lot sets. - all the custom made TE network paths for the WMP lots (the default paths in the WMP Essentials.dat support RHD setup) - Since the original Causeway set and Boardwalk set had the same custom queries, a new UI property (with new IID) has been added which gives a slightly modified text to the WMP Murimk Boardwalks. (NEW!!! WMP Essentials v1.0.1) - as an addition IF you use Left-Hand Drive (LHD) setup, you can find a LHD support file in the Documents folder. You need to place/copy that z___zWMP_LHD_Paths folder into the Plugins\WMP\Essentials\ folder if you used the default/provided folder structue, otherwise it MUST load after the WMP Essentials.dat file. Credits: DocRorlach, the WMP Team for creating these original contents: custom paths, UIs, dummie model files. 9. It is with sadness that I have to convey the news that Peter (DocRorlach), the creator and developer of the SC4Tools collection, Working Man Production (WMP) plugins and associated websites has passed away. He became very sick in Jan 2012, but fought to remain as active within this on-line community he loved for as long as possible. Unfortunately before Christmas the illness got the better of him and he had to give up the last of the projects he was working on as his care had to now be hospital based. He passed away in hospital on the 12th Jan 2013. On a personal note, Peter was a great help developing my companies new website & on-line order systems - without his help I would not have been able to push the business in the direction it has taken. Ron (rivit), who has also been aware of Peters illness throughout, would like to add that Peter helped him (and many others), both with ideas and creations in a generous and forthright way. His many contributions will be missed. I will continue to host and maintain Peters websites, but I do not have the talent or knowledge to continue is work Thank you for your time David www.sc4tools.co.uk www.workingman-productions.co.uk

The Cougar Fruit Packing Ltd. is the latest in the WMP SPAM Workplaces series. Formerly an independent family concern, it was acquired by a global food brand in the late eighties and, during season, ships several local apple varieties from the local orchards to markets world-wide. Sitting on a 7x6 lot, the company employs 50 permanent staff from the nearby township rather than the transients favoured by the industry in general. While all props have been rendered in HD, the main building - due to its complexity - remains an SD export. Lot Details and Information: Lot size: 7 x 6 tiles Menu position: Transportation - FreightRail Jobs: $ : 45, $$ : 5 Plop cost: $ 2,200 Bulldoze cost: $ 1,000 Monthly cost: $ 110 Power consumption: 60 MWh/month Water consumption: 45 Gallons/month Pollution: Water: 5 over 10 tiles; Garbage: 15 over 10 tiles Dependencies: To ensure the proper functionality, make sure the files mentioned below are installed in the plugins folder. WMP Dependencies: wmp_spam_freight_props.dat wmp_spam_freight_props2.dat (included with main download) wmp_texture10.dat External Dependencies: BSCBATPropsMattb325_Vol02.dat Credits: Thanks go to Rivit for his invaluable assistance in creating the special rail pathing; d_j_p1 for his patient testing of all WMP lots & mods; and Simcoug for suggesting the idea and providing research. Problems? If you have problems with this lot it is most likely that you did not download all the dependencies or - just as likely - that we made a mistake. You can contact us via email at comments@workingman-productions.co.uk. Best to include a screen-shot illustrating the problem.

This is the third Docklands set; this time around the docks and piers are wooden to give them a more rural flavour. There are a total of 42 lots in the set, including 4 water-based tug & barge lots, several busstops, a freight stop, a fire station, as well as a ferry and a desalination plant, all fitted around the same theme. The desalination plant is located on-shore but has a companion dock lot (pumping station) to connect it to your harbour. All lots featuring a gate and a street connection offer jobs to your Sims and thus do require transit access. All WMP buildings and props were rendered in HD, which accounts for the file sizes. The (for now) final lot in the WMP SPAM Workplaces series offers you The Crown at the Mill Pup, a smalll rural watering hole in an old, refurbished water mill. The lot, 3x3 in size, uses Pegasus' narrow stream as its water source - the only waterway I found useable for this type of project, employs 10 local yokels to serve its patrons, and is based upon a mill found on the web. All buildings & props have been rendered in HD. Note: The main download includes a second lot/model aimed at lotters, and containing the original mill only. This is the first in a series of SPAM (SimPeg Acricultural Mod) workplaces: a large ethanol plant, based roughly on a real-life plant somewhere in the United States. The large lot contains everything needed to create the bio fuel, and employs 145 folks from the surrounding rural area. The plant, while listed as a landmark, also acts as a switch between freight rail and freight trucks. All buildings were rendered in SD to reduce the overall file size, however, all props were exported using HD. The dependencies contain two BSC Prop Packs that, while large, are common enough that most everyone will already own them. The Rectangle Roundhouse carries quite a few dependencies, and as such is really meant for folks who have already accumulated most of the WMP and BSC props. Rather than leave it as a pure landmark, the decision was made to turn the railyard into a freight depot, with track connections for both STR & DTR as well as street access. Nearly all SFBT rail props are timed, as are some of the WMP cars and trucks. Its massive size is perhaps not for everyone; unfortunately there was no time to turn it into a modular set as originally planned. WMP Monorail System (Unfinished) by DocRorlach The WMP Monorail System was meant to provide a complete viaduct set, as well as various stations and under-rail-lots. Unfortunately, due to illness, DocRorlach never quite finished the intended set. As it stands now, only one viaduct filler has been completed, together with a station to fit Y-Junctions (left), and several straight stations (all 6x1), open and closed (see images below): 1 Viaduct Filler (with road/street tunnel); 1 Y-Junction Station; 1 Dual-Avenue Station; 1 Full Station (urban); 3 Full Stations (industrial); 1 Open Station (industrial); It is unlikely that the planned set will ever be completed, however, the GMax models are available upon request, and of course all lots are open to relotting by anyone who wants to have a go at it. WMP Art Deco Station by DocRorlach An art deco inspired medium railway station, featuring the Epic Travel Agency. The station, meant for cities up to 200,000 inhabitants, acts as a transit hub, providing passengers access to subway, tram, bus, and taxi services. A small shopping arcade, cafe, and the travel agent provide a total of 188 jobs. Transit capacity has been set at 60,000, and will be shared by all transport types. Note: If you are using LHD (left-hand-drive) with your SimCity installation you will also need the Left-Hand-Drive plugin. You will need to make sure that this loads after all other WMP dependencies! Caution: In order to connect the tram line we advise using dragable GLR rather than plopable - this tends to minimize the chance to expirience CTDs caused by ploppable network puzzle pieces hovering over a transit-enabled lot. WMP Tunnel Portals by DocRorlach Note: These tunnel portals will only work with rivit's Tunnel Mod, which reduces tunnel height to 7.5m. Standard Maxis tunnel are too high. Included Portals: several Road, Single-Track Rai, Double-Track Rail, Avenue, Ground Highway, 4-lane RHW portals. You will find them in the Parks Menu (the screenshots here are samples only). The portals are overlays, and must be placed to the right of the actual tunnel entrance, one tile away from the tunnel mouth. The tile must be level with the rail/road/avenue/highway. Coverage depends on the terrain, thus you need to experiment a bit. Most of the tunnels' rear portion can be partially decorated with MMPs, although some care needs to be taken not to cover the tunnel mouth. NOTE: on the original Road Tunnel LOT the tunnel prop has been repositioned. It is highly recommended to bulldoze and replop this lot if you previously used. Lot Details and Information can be found in the readme. Read it. Dependencies To ensure the proper functionality, make sure the files mentioned below are installed in the plugins folder. WMP Rail Ferries, by DocRorlach Rail Ferries come in two flavours: urban/industrial, and rural. For each there are two stations which act as railway stations. Transit between two rail ferries is enabled via subway connectors. While this means they could be connected to a standard subway network, we advise against it - such a connection would minimize or negate the rail-to-subway transfer. Since ferries tend to be located on steep waterfronts, the subway connection may need to be routed sideways before being layed underwater. Bear that in mind when terraforming. Our experience indicates that gently slopped beaches are best suited for this time of transit lot. Rail Ferries do not generate any in-game ferry routes. There is, however, a timed railbarge (full, emty), and a non-timed diagonal rail barge (full) available as a separate download. All buildings & props are rendered in HD. Please note: the required wmp_texture05.dat, original available with other WMP Ferries, has been updated and needs to be downloaded again. By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.

Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!
