  1. How about if we make a merch brand? I give an example from Atta Halilintar, the most subscribed YouTuber in Indonesia. I'm not endorsed, though. Yes, we aren't as popular as him, but we can do it from smaller scale. Then, we expand our brand. Eventually, we get some revenue doing so, possibly replacing donation (or in better words, donations are made from merch). Thanks.
  2. The Milestone Thread

    Triple threes of reputation.
  3. I would prefer option B but with two buttons are aligned to the center. I know Simtropolis is a great place, but I don't think people will access our site from the game, at least regularly. People simply access the site from a browser. So, I think the option B is the best option, although option D is also a good option. Thanks.
  4. Ploppable Low-Wealth ($) Buildings

Of course it's not simple as that. You need to consider factors. But, if you fulfilled the factors, you can use the app. Thanks.
  5. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Yes, it is. I was wrong about the exchange but I remembered it is discussed on ST. Thanks.
  6. Ploppable Low-Wealth ($) Buildings

Oh I forgot, he is talking about ploppable residential. Sorry about that. There is an app you can use to do so: Thanks.
  7. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I remembered there is a water ferry terminal for rerouting ferry routes. It's on Simtropolis but I can't find it. Can you help me find the mod? Thanks.
  8. Ploppable Low-Wealth ($) Buildings

Why not make R$$ and R$$$ tax super high (20%) and lower the R$ (if you can, 0%)? Don't forget to set the C$ and I-R or I-D tax down. This should encourage R$. Personally, I have built a city with high-density R$ using this technique, watering of course, and the Census Repository for CAP relief. Thanks.
  9. Traffic Problem

May I view the pedestrian, bus, and subway traffic, please? The network connection seems to be fine. Maybe, your traffic is mostly pedestrians. Even, one of my cities only has pedestrian traffic despite having 200K+ population. Another possibility is explained by @CorinaMarie: extensive subway/bus system. If you have the system, you should use the subway/bus traffic instead of road traffic. Another info: if you have commercial, the customer level is determined by the road/car traffic, not other types of traffic (I don't know about buses). So, if you want to have high-customer commercial buildings, you should have a sheer amount of car traffic. Pedestrian and subway traffic won't contribute to the amount of customer. If you wish to include pedestrian and subway traffic into the amount of customer, you should convert those traffic into car traffic. For the workers, you can use any type of transport you want, though. Thanks.
  10. Just for info, including license file is a standard practice in the open source community. You are obligated to include the license and/or not removing the license at the start of the code (or header) if you want to fork (or include parts) of a software. So, if someone seeks for license file for an open source project, don't worry. It's normal thing. Thanks.
  11. After NAM 38?

Hello, This year, we should expect NAM 37 after long development hiatus. NAM 37 brings lots of feature, including the long-awaited revamped installer. Next year, NAM 38 may come out. NAM 38 brings alternatives to "ancient" features. Also, thanks to collaboration with @xxdita, NAM 38 may come out with a brand-new simulator. This should be an improvement to Simulator Z. These changes are big actually. But, it's far from NAM mission: making an intuitive and flexible network mod. To accomplish the mission, NAM Team sets some targets. One is complete FLEX implementation. Currently, FLEX implementation is decent but not fully replaced the good-old puzzle pieces. The team is improving the implementation year by year. There is an another suggestion from me. One is a facility to create a custom road curve, intersection, interchange, etc like Cities: Skylines. No, I'm not suggesting to add the feature to the game. It would require a ton of modding to the game. Instead, I suggest the team have a bespoke service on SC4Devotion and/or Simtropolis. If someone like map maker wants to build a gigantic interchange, then someone in the team can build a custom mod containing such interchange and insert it to the game. I hope the suggestion will be useful. Thanks.
  12. I also have a similar city, but with 200,000 R$$ and 1 million of CO$$$ and CS$$$. There's no industry. There's no unemployment. There's no mass transit. There's only one avenue that stretchs from up to the down side of the city. The traffic time is low. In the early days, there are lots of unemployment, making the city into a crisis. With some work, I'm able to make the city out from the crisis. And yes, the city is medium size and all buildings are high-density, or more specifically, high-density zoned. I do use (if I remembered correctly), ultra setting and maybe ultra in base network capacity. It proves that a city with high-density buildings can be build using roads if you can transition correctly or if you can deal with unemployment. Thanks.
  13. Hello, In the game there's something called balance. That's what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about the GRP (gross regional product) of the city, which is residential average income * the city population. But, I'm talking about the wealth. This is the sequel of the What's Your City Wealth Composition. How much is your city wealth? Mine has $50 million in wealth. How much wealth is needed to be the rich nation? What about the super-rich nation? $100 million? Or, $1 billion? Thanks.
  14. Hello, I'm trying to make money from neighbor connection. But, I'm profiting or losing little, about $1,000 simoleans regardless of MWs I send. What should I do to profit significantly from the connection? Thanks.
  15. I prefer .zips over .exes. Not because scary, because because it's more efficient than .exes. This is even pronounced when you're working with dozens or hundreds of mods. If .exes could be automated, I would prefer .exes. But, lots of mods doesn't have .exes that can be automated, at least what I know. Making things worse, mods have different .exe installers. One team uses Clickteam. Another uses NSIS. Obscure mods uses obscure installer. I don't suggest every .exe have same installer. But, at least they have some standard things, one of which is silent installation for automation. Thanks.
  16. Introduce Yourself Here!

Welcome to Simtropolis, @Jaradard! If you have questions, don't be hesitant to post your questions here on ST.
  17. Hello, Welcome to my quarantine-related question. Recently, I'm trying to learn SimCity 4 to a person here in ST. But until now, there's no answer. I don't know what should I do with current world situation? Should I continue to learn SimCity 4 on my own? Thanks.
  18. I Don't Know What Should I Do?

OK, @rsc204 recommends me to learn on my own. I don't have a good learning system. Every time I tried to build one, it fails. How do I learn SimCity 4 on my own? Thanks.
  19. Hello, I tried to mod the Automata Plugin from NAM. I want to eliminate all automata in the city for a reason. I set the value concerning the density and the number of # to zero. But why am I still seeing automata? The traffic seems to be not affected. I also make the file name to be almost the same as the original. Why my automata mod doesn't work? Here's my automata mod. Thanks.
  20. Why My Automata Mod Doesn't Work?

I moved the original to the outside of Plugin folder. More specificly, in Documents. I moved my plugins to the NAM folder. I do have the original so don't worry about backups. Thanks.
  21. Hello, I know I can build a city with just placing residential, commercial, and industry in balanced manner and I get a working city (of course with electricity). We know that NAM has a commute time limit of 600 minutes. We can't visually see the path until we grow some residential and placed a workplace (commercial, industry, or even building we didn't notice, power building). The problem is, if we intend to see the path (especially if we want bigger data), we have to make some of residential buildings abandoned. This is problem to me because I'm experimenting with this thing and my city is just a wasteland (except with some big changes). I want to ask, where should I place workplaces in early game scientifically? How do I optimize the path to bring lots of traffic to the workplace? This is important, especially for commercial because they complained about the customer size. I want the customer size to be high. And bonus question: can I really build a city with only residential and commercial (no industries whatsoever)? And another bonus question, which one is better for early game? I-R or I-D? Thanks.
  22. The Milestone Thread

I was winning most liked content creator of April 1st. Thank you for your appreciation!
  23. Dead Game??

Don't get me wrong, I did play SC2013 with mods. But, the mod base is smaller than SC4. The first glance is mods to existing buildings, rather than BATs in SC4. Once you go deeper, you get Project Akar, UDoN, and 3K mod. The mods are easier to install than SC4, which is a plus point to SC13. After installing the mod, I opened the game and I get larger cities. I can even build network outside the border. However, it's less stable. I get a CTD when destroying those network. But, it doesn't mean mods are bad. NAM also has a CTD problem when hovering TE lots over puzzle pieces. Fortunately, this problem is fixed although not by NAM Team (though they support the fix). SC2013 is a city builder providing 3D environment while keeping the resource requirement low. Even, I can run SC2013 in my very old laptop with Radeon HD Graphics. It's not always above 30 fps but it's playable with some stutter, just like SC4 in my modern laptops (maybe due to I'm using mechanical drive). Also, the game has lots of new features for instance more refined sewage system, upgrade system, specialization cities, to even ability to shutdown a building, something simple that SC4 lacks. SC4 do offer make a building historical. But, it seems like a band aid to building growth problem. Again, don't get me wrong, I did play SC4 and SC2013. Each game have pros and cons. I do prefer C:S. But due to my specs (the latest laptop of mine can run the game technically, but it's just bare minimum, especially in RAM and core number), I prefer SC4. Thanks.
  24. Site Oddities

Hello, There are lots of oddities now, even when I post. Not only that, there are 2 new mods: Thanks.
  25. Site Oddities

Everything's getting odd and odd! Cori is now EiramAniroc and Cyclone Boom is now CloneBoom. Oh no, they are just a clone. There are lots of oddities here. For instance CloneBoom has negative reps. That's impossible naturally in this community. Someone has been using their admin tool to set the reputation to negative. Nice job, @CorinaMarie and @Cyclone Boom. Thanks
