Here it is, the 20,000th file uploaded to the STEX. I would have done something far more amazing if I knew, but this humble little landmark of the Maxis Quantum Dish is all I had. It has a nice menu icon, and it functions as a landmark, and that's about all, but I suppose its a symbol, a symbol of great things to come, to be, for the awesome ability of communication, and our awesome human imagination, so let it be a symbol, of hope, of betterment of the world and of humanity.

In a major milestone for Simtropolis, the STEX has now reached a grand total of 100 million downloads! (As of 17:35 GMT, 13 Feb 2015) Over the past 12 years, members of this community have shared and continue to share content of dazzling and diverse quality. From buildings to mods, the games we play continue to be improved and expanded. 18,848 files later, reaching this figure is really a testament to how strong the member base is, and how influential custom content is for a game’s longevity. Also, special thanks must go to our Dirktator for providing this website -- the foundations which have made this landmark a reality. Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement! I thought it would be cool to create a thread for members of the site to join if they have been a member for more than 1 year. Although there really isn't a point to it, I just thought it might be interesting to keep a running log of active Simtropolis Annuarians...although you'd have to post here to affirm that yes, you are still active. So here are your Simtropolis Annuarians and Bi-Annuarians! Annuarians are members who have been at Simtropolis at least 365 days and are still active; Bi-Annuarians have been here at least 730 days. Triannuarians have been here for 1,095 days. Next January, watch for the first Quartenarians - members who have been at ST for at least 1,400 days.
