  4. Hello, I've recently built a PC. I decided to wax nostalgia and play some Simcity 3000 unlimited. However, there was an error during installation. I know the solution to that error but I have another problem. I've uninstalled the game from my computer. There are no related files under program files x86 and I have even deleted the keys to the game from the registry. The game no longer shows in my programs and features but every time I insert the disk and autorun the program, it still shows uninstall as the button (not giving me the option to install it). Finding information to fix it on the Internet has been shoddy. The closest I got was a bunch of trolls answering the same question from someone else on a yahoo answers post from 8 years ago. Idk if there are any other possible routes I could take to allow me to install the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Sorry if this is in the wrong forum) I run Windows 7, 64-bit. Help me Simtropolis community, you're my only hope! -Vinnie

  5. Simcity 3000 Unlimited Installation Issue

    Thanks for the help. When I do click on 'Uninstall' under autorun, it pops up with an error, a file is the missing, one that triggers the uninstall process. I don't want to use the nuke option cause I have a lot of other games installed. I went through the registry and deleted all SC3K unlimited related keys and files until nothing SC3K was on there. UPDATE: Got it! I bypassed the problem by downloading the entire contents of my SC3K unlimited CD to my computer. From there I go to: SETUP > ENGLISH > and double-click on the "SETUP" application file. It initiates the installer and installs the game. I'm running right now with no issues. Maybe this thread can be archived for anyone else who runs into this issue?

    It's a waste of a download, all you have to do is change the config.bmp on any new region to achieve the same effect.

    Very nice looking city! very vibrant!   One suggestion, I doubt you would see upscale neighborhoods so close to the airport like that.
