September 9, 2002 Population: 2,185 A Religious Center Global publicity of the August 7, 1998 fuel spill placed Kanin Fjord on the international map in more ways then one. In particular, this revealed the town as having the highest concentration of Norse believers in Europe. Despite the disaster giving the town a negative image, many people who follow the Norse religion saw the town as a safe abode for their beliefs and immigrated to Kanin Fjord. By September of 2002, roughly 850 of Kanin Fjord’s residents had at least some sort of belief in Norse mythology. No other location in the world had so many Norse believers living in one location. The town’s only Stave temple was not equipped to handle the high population of worshippers. Discussions for the expansion of the existing temple, and the possible construction of a second temple are already occurring. The North Opens Up Developable land has always been scarce in the town. Kanin’s Fjord’s topology consists of a mixture of steep slopes, rocky outcroppings, and dense coniferous forests. By 2001, residential, commercial, and industrial expansion had consumed every useful piece of land along the Fjord. Without expanding across the fjords, the only remaining tracts of useful land lie to the north of the town past Tore punkt. Until 1998, the Gulbrandsen Family claimed ownership of all unoccupied land north of the village along the west coast of Hjortfjorden, stretching all the way to the Atlantic coast. After 1998, the Norwegian government confiscated this land from the Gulbrandsen family as restitution for cleanup expenses of the fuel spell. At the end of 1999 Norway began selling the land to anyone who would purchase it. Interest in the land, however; was limited, and it was not until the Navnår Conglomerate moved into town that developers and individuals began purchasing the land. By the middle of 2000, various developers, corporations, and individuals had purchased the land. Development of numerous subdivisions, a new school, and even a sports complex began in May of 2001, and by September 2002, all of the land purchased had been developed. New developments primarily consisted of residential subdivisions, but also included higher density apartments and condominiums. A new combination elementary/high school was constructed to accommodate the large number of children now living in the town. Kanin Fjord even has a soccer field now. The Villagers Reserve Their Power Kanin Fjord’s original inhabitants have faced the ever-growing reality that they were rapidly becoming a minority in their own town. In just ten years, the town’s population increased nearly five-fold from 447 to 2,185. The original villagers and their descendants now comprise just 22% of the town’s current population. In order to protect their heritage and assure that decisions are made in their best interest, the villagers enacted amendments to the town’s charter and government. One such amendment was an original residency requirement for being a member of the town council. Only residents who were born in Kanin Fjord are eligible for election to the town council and mayorship. Additionally, a minimum age requirement of 25 was also established. This effectively prevented anyone who immigrated into town from being able to serve on the city council and gave the original villagers complete power over Kanin Fjord’s government. While the changes were considered controversial and even discriminatory to people moving into town, nonetheless; the amendments were enacted as town law on July 1, 2002 and would remain in effect for through 1 election cycle. Opposition to the amendment was widespread and even Navnår was against it. It only required a few weeks from being enacted before several legal challenges were filed in the Norwegian courts. Description: Stadium Village is expanding and the Llamas are on a winning streak. Stadium neighborhoods take on a character all their own, centered around a facility which can balloon in population for a few hours and bring a boost to local business. This pack contains four BATs, all of which have a ploppable version and three of which have a growable version (I figured no one would want a random building with rooftop stands popping up facing a residential high rise for example). - Quentin's Casa de Nachos (fictional): Nachos are a stadium staple, at least in America. - Yellowcard Diner (fictional): A soccer-themed retro American diner for only the most loyal Llamas fans. - Infield Fry Rule (fictional): A baseball-themed burger and fries type standard American restaurant. - Infusion Coffee and Tea (based on a real company): Infusion fills the role of Starbucks on the island of Guam, where there are no Starbucks, believe it or not. For this building they occupy the ground floor of a small collection of apartments. On the rooftop, there are bleachers inspired by the buildings across the street from Wrigley Field in Chicago. They would be strategically situated to allow more fans to catch a view of your game - adding more seats to a place in your city where there may be limitations on stadium expansion. We’ll look at your city to define the region and proximity to other cities. From there the fun begins! You devise a team name, logo, etc. or consult with us for help. You have unlimited possibilities from there, you can either run your team or defer having things simulated for you. Have you and your friends built cities? Well, create a “state” together. I found myself reinstalling SimCity 4 during lockdown and whilst digging out my old plugins, I have found a handful of nearly complete BATs from many years ago, when I used to be more active. This is one of those. Whilst it's not 100% the final product I had originally intended (personally, I think this stadium is a bit too grey), I think it's good enough to share in the hope that somebody finds it useful in some way. This is a small sized stadium based on Stadion Brühl in Grenchen, Switzerland. Yesterday I uploaded the same BAT but with a rugby pitch layout; this has a football pitch, the sport usually played at the real-life stadium. The pitch has nightlights, as shown in the screenshots. Stats: Size= 5x7 Build Cost= 5000 Maintenance Cost= 100 Bulldoze Cost= 500 Power Consumed= 100 Water Consumed= 50 No dependencies. -

This is the next (and almost certainly final) in my series of small (association) football grounds. The stand here is based on one at Colovray Sports Centre in Nyon, Switzerland. The intention of this ground is to give something more than just a football pitch if you want a small team in your SC4 town or village. The lot is 3x5 but the stand overhangs. This is done, as the stand is relatively small so it seemed a waste to make it take up 5 extra tiles. You could put small car parks in the corner, or whatever takes your fancy. The stand itself has no nightlights, but the pitch is lit up with the base game soccer field lighting. The base game soccer field players are also present. Stats: Build Cost= 700 Maintenance Cost= 50 Bulldoze Cost= 125 Power Consumed= 10 Water Consumed= 20 No dependencies -

This pack contains some sports courts from Loyola Elementary and High School, located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, throughout the years of 2011, 2012 and 2018. This is the first time I use PIM-X, ILive Reader and LEProp to make custom content, so in case you find any issues, let me know. Camp Nou ("New Field", often referred to as the "Nou Camp" in English) is an association football stadium in Barcelona, Spain. It has been the home of Fútbol Club Barcelona since its completion in 1957. With a seating capacity of 99,354, it is the largest stadium in Spain by capacity. It is also the largest stadium in Europe and the second largest association football stadium in terms of capacity. It has hosted numerous international matches at a senior level, including several matches 1982 FIFA World Cup, two UEFA Champions League finals and the football competition at the 1992 summer olympics. In another vein, Bruce Springsteen and U2, among others, often choose this stage to offer his great concerts in Spain. -

The Stade Aérodrome is the biggest stadium in Republique de Guatalaga. The stadium is located on the north-east corner of the old military airfield of Port Byron. When the airfield was closed in the 1990's, the stadium was the first contruction that took place there. The name was given to remember the history of the location. Today the stadium can hold a maximum capacity of 18.500 people and is mainly used by the Port Byron FC.© 2015 Office du Tourisme de Guatalaga
