  1. Giant (PA Style)

Pretty amazing work. I live close to about five Giants in the Hbg area and this looks exactly like them.
  2. Hi all, I've tried searching the forums etc for an answer but to no avail-- or--is it even possible for the ReShade program to work with SC4? If anyone has tried it, what would be the correct installation path for ReShade?
  3. The People's Village (The road to breaking 1 billion vanilla sims)

    The train tour is !!
  4. The People's Village (The road to breaking 1 billion vanilla sims)

Great ambient music-- fits into the game beautifully (in fact I'm listening to it as I type this post). After viewing a bit of the video and looking at your screenshots, I am wondering if terraforming a little bit in the tiles you use as cities would add to the scenic possibilities and visually incorporate each city into the region as a whole. It could show off what vanilla can really do graphically-- which is quite a lot! I play with a ton of mods but I find your concept exciting and look forward to seeing how your project develops. EDIT: Oh also it's great to see just the default Maxis buildings-- modders take buildings to the next level but I kinda think the default building textures/props don't get enough credit.
  5. Boston

So good, as usual!! Would love to see your interpretation of Philly!
  6. SM2 Railway Bits Set Vol1

I use these all over, both near rails and in industrial areas: sooo good!!!
  7. poll NAM Feature Usage Poll

ooh-- I hadn't been aware. Thanks youngwii and rsc204!
  8. poll NAM Feature Usage Poll

Adding onto this, specifically regarding curves and SAM-- would love to see the SAM textures incorporated into the wide radius curves for streets. Ah, and @Tarkus et al--incredible work on the NAM in general btw.
  9. Bituminous Bassetboro

For sure re: improvements of the slope mod-- thanks for the suggestion of it! I think it was extra quirky because of the steep hills etc I use but on the flipside, it forces me to think more about road and rail work.
  10. Bituminous Bassetboro

Beagleland was destroyed when Lord Hoagie's ego exploded. The surviving sims sailed across the Beggin' Sea and founded Houndsylvania. They foolishly elected (Lord) Hoagie E. Mellon as the first mayor of Bituminous Bassetboro. The town proper sits halfway up Mount Kibble. Water Bowl Lake and the Rabbit Scent Trail combine to form a national park in Houndsylvania. There are bituminous coal mines that are the town's main employer (all owned by Baron Hoagie E. Mellon). Baron Hoagie swears neither the mines nor ores are the town's namesakes. Sims wonder, however. Thanks to Water Bowl Lake, Bituminous Bassetboro hosts a water tower, despite its tiny population size. On the west side of town, Rabbit Scent Trail begins. Water Bowl Lake: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried to kind of recreate a small mining town for the general look of this entry. Mods include LK Appalachian terrain, SHK Brigandine 2.0 Water Mod and HD Rock Mod, NAM, Peg's ponds, mmps. BATs by Matt325, Simmer2, Simgoober, Paeng, BSC Newman Mine, lots of mmps by giraffe, peg, simmer2, murimk, NBVC----------- so thanks to these modders x10000 Thanks for visiting my CJ
  11. Late to the party but what Matias and Corina said. Additionally, I've found putting functional parking lots next to various stations in residential areas allows you to space them out further. Using the route query and query tools help also to see if they're too close/too far e.g. your large capacity bus stop has only three sims using it because there's another bus station down the block.
  12. Bituminous Bassetboro

Thanks, James. Yeah, I'd thought about splitting up the bottom one but got lazy I scrapped the old region because I installed the BRF slope mod for my roads and it messed up some pre-existing layout -- but the mod itself is too good not to use so I decided to create a new region, complete with absurd backstory
  13. Entry 16: harrington grows!

What a great looking town! Frank seems like he's quite the real estate mogul. Great mmp work again
  14. Entry 15: Harrignton Landscape Files 001

The MMP bug is highly contagious I love the look of the little lakes and inlets: it reminds me of the Adirondacks in upstate NY.
  15. Dresden & Neustadt Saksischer Schweiz !

I like the layout of your roads, rails, and tram pieces: it feels really organic. Great work!
  16. Lord Hoagie Rules Squeakytoytown with an Iron Fist

Thanks, James! It's awesome how many mmps are available because of modders
  17. Lord Hoagie Rules Squeakytoytown with an Iron Fist

Lord Hoagie refers to the expansion of Beagleland as his "manifest destiny," a term he claims to have created. Neil Fairbanks is suspicious of this claim, however. An overview of Squeakytoytown: Lord Hoagie took this would-be-beautiful pic but as Joni Mitchell likes to say "clouds got in my way..." Nighttime is when Lord Hoagie routinely wiretaps Squeakytoytown's high-tech sector. Hoagie is convinced kibble is nestled somewhere in the very fiber of optics. Fairbanks squirms uncomfortably whenever Lord Hoagie mentions this idea while holding court. Lord Hoagie owns all five yachts and has issued a royal decree stating that "no sim, save sim beagles, may own, operate, or use yachts save for the penalty of permanent exile from our civil society i.e. permanent ban from Petco." Monique Diamond is outraged over the lavishness of Lord Hoagie's palace named Hoagiesailles. The grounds are open to the public, where they enjoy...cake. Squeakytoytown's City Hall. The Lord E. Hoagie Public Library is conveniently close by since pamphlets extolling Lord Hoagie's justice, prudence, fortitude, and temperance are published daily. A book from the library. Tricolor Park is a favorite of residents. Despite Lord Hoagie's ever-growing autocratic behavior, according to city blocks sims believe Lord Hoagie rocks. But do they really think that way or have they been convinced to think that way?... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure what happened to my default sidewalks before but thanks to Gobias's sidewalk mod, they reappeared--maybe it had something to do with load order... Other mods I use are LK's Appalachian terrain, SHK rock and water mods, LK Beaches, lots of PEG stuff, a "lot" (HA!) of Matt325, SM2, and SimGoober BATs and Lots, NAM, Girafe mmps, BSC parks etc. The book pictured is (a photoshopped cover of) Thomas Aquinas's Summa Theologiae: Vol. 28, Law and Political Theory, Cambridge Univ. Press. Anyways, thanks for looking at the Beagleland City Journal
  18. Morningside Park

Wow this is really great-- the park integrates really well with the high-rises.
  19. Osaka

Wow this entire journal is amazing!! I try not to look at it too much though, or I get Journal Envy But seriously, awesome work
  20. The "Ruff" Terrain of Beagleland Perfect for Rawhidetown

Thanks--I'll definitely try this one out!
  21. Welcome to The Principality of Beagleland Claimed and founded by the condottiero Lord Hoagie d'Beagle, the region of Beagleland hosts a wide variety of terrain ideal for a variety of settlements (although "God" may not be quite done with terraforming yet...). Rawhidetown The Hound River splits Rawhidetown, although many sims sneak over to the manufacturing zones to unlawfully steal various treats and squeaky toys. The "Lord Hoagie Timber 'n' Stuff Inc." lumbermill has a lot of...bark. The manufacturing hub of Rawhidetown: kibble is produced here as well. : Residents of Rawhidetown are somehow calm and content, despite having an EQ of 0. Is Lord Hoagie slipping something into the water bowls? Unfortunately, there aren't any rabbits in Rawhidetown's many wooded areas due to the excessive beagling in Beagleland. Sometimes Rawhidetown's sims think they should develop the beaches more so they have more recreational opportunities. But then they never feel like actually doing it. Some agriculture is essential for satisfying the demand of rawhide treats. Proof that Rawhidetown is flat! Thanks for visiting Rawhidetown! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unfortunately, my old computer crashed and burned with my old CJ Rodentia so I won't be developing that one anymore. But I started playing sc4 again and thought it'd be cool to start a new CJ. Mods used (will try to remember them) SHK brigandine & Rock mod, LK Appalachian terrain, lots of PEG stuff, BATs by WZ, SM2, Matt325, and SimGoober, NAM. Anything else I forgot please just mention and I'll make sure to credit the modder
  22. The "Ruff" Terrain of Beagleland Perfect for Rawhidetown

Thanks, 89James! Heh, yeah, I'm def not the best with roadwork--and to boot Lord Hoagie has drastically reduced transportation dept funding so sims have to make due
  23. 28 - Santa Selena Cliff

    Awesome work!!
  24. Entry 44 -- The North of Madison Plains
