Here is a little preview of some of the things I've been working on recently mixed in with a few older things that have been improved or renewed. Below is a picture of a STEX Temple in Acropolis. I built this Zone a while back, but I just recently got around to adding some finishing touches. The next two pictures are from the newest tile I've been working on. I'm virtually complete and I don't want to be too boastful but it looks pretty amazing. Part of that is due to the fact that I'm using some of the...

It is still spring but the citizens of Ionica are yearning for those hot summer days and even hotter summer nights. Why can't it just come tomorrow? Well it can. Just use the Chronometric Reassignment Matrix App on your phone. Et voila! You have now been transported to summer in Ionica. Just don't interact with anyting or you could create a paradox that will unravel the very fabric of space time. (images now in 1080p) feeroz123: Another big one ! So many lights, so many buildings ! Looks very well...

A fuller view of that magical zone where Diamond Lake and the Black Stones Lighthouse can be found - Sierra. Enjoy! Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. KonstantinII: Masterful city scene. I see all the buildings, asian style, 20th century "blocks", and modern buildings. Nice metropolis. Thank you very much KII, took a while to put together. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Schulmanator: Awesome! Henry the Octopus gives this 8 thumbs up! Thanks Henry. Let me shake...

A wider view of the Zone in which Ionica's Chinatown is located - Walden II. Enjoy! Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. Pwel28: You really do some incredible work. Love your creativity and abstract approach. Thanks. It helps when you're surrounded by so many SC4 enthusiasts. Terring: EPIC!!! That is one mighty word. Thanks Terring. Vitor13: Beautiful work! Thanks. Schriefer: P-E-R-F-E-C-T *---------* One of the best updates I...

Break out your holographihc projectors, tonight is Summoning. What is Summoning? Summoning or The Summoning is the opposite of Halloween which Ionica also celebrates. Whereas Halloween is about celebrating death, demons, and sorcery, Summoning is about celebrating life, angels, and white magic. Summoning is actually a relatively modern creation and was unintentionally started by Holografic graffiti artists. In the mid-twenty-first century a group of Holo-Artists decided to set up a massive prank with new...

"If you want it, you can have it, all you gotta do it believe in magic." That's what they said while building Sierra, this small but beautiful Zone that looks out onto Diamond Lake. It is called Diamond Lake because legend has it that on a clear night when the stars shine their brightest you can dip any object into its waters and it will become encrusted with jewels. A little bit of music to set the mood... Very expensive Ionican real estate that looks out onto Diamond Lake. The view is amazing, you'll...

51 - Chinatown

Although Asian cultural influences can be seen all around Ionica there is still one place everyone lovingly refers to as Chinatown: the Fenghuang (Phoenix) Street Market in Walden II. Every side street is packed with activity and the odor of food, good and bad, attacks your nose from all directions. This is the southern entrance of the Fenghuang Market, it is generally considered to be the front entrance of Chinatown since it faces Sao Sing Sa park but others consider the North side the entrance because it...

Marina Fun pt.3

My 50th entry! This is the third and final part of my Marina Fun series. This time I am using nbvc's modular marina add on. I've noticed that I'm very fond of paulvmonfort's HK Grand Terrace. I think it is because it is a very beautiful building that faces diagonally but isn't actually a diagonal building. The hard drive on my PC is dying and I recently ordered a new one. Hopefully I won't be out of the game for too long. Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. Ln...

The fun continues. Enjoy!Side Note: My progress just got set back by a week because I ran CHKDSK on my computer and that totally messed it up for some reason. Data gone! So weird 'cause I felt like some computer related catastrophe was going to impede my progress and in an attempt to make sure my computer was in the best condition I ran CHKDSK and that ended up killing it. Such a shame because I had designed some really amazing stuff for y'all. Remember to keep up to date backups of your region and your...

Those of you who visited my Christmas CJ entry have already seen bits and pieces of what I am about to show you. This entry is the first of a three part series where I will show you some Marina styles I experimented with.To create these Marinas I used nbvc's Marinas, nbvc's Modular Breakwater Set, JENX Quais de Seine (revisited) which I don't like as much as the originals, paeng Castle Walk and Castle Walls, kazuki's Red Brick Walls, Walls Pack 2, and a variety of underwater mmps mainly by nbvc....

To kick off this 2014 season I give you a preview of what to expect in my CJ over the next few months. Some are projects that are nearly finished, others are plans I have for the future.AvalonThose who are familiar with my CJ will recognize the GIF below as Avalon, the heart of Ionica. I've almost finished rebuilding, all that is left to do is add a few more buildings such as The Shard London Bridge by Xyloxadoria and IFC2 v3 by paulvmonfort. It is still going to take a while for this tile to be complete....

Around 6 months ago I was working on a University which I later abandoned in favor of other projects thinking I would finish it later. As my skill progressed and I acquired new BATs I realized that my grand vision for a top class University could not be achieved with my current layout and eventually decided to scrap the project and start again. While gathering material for my next batch of CJ entries I realized it would be a shame to let all this hard work go to waste so I've decided to show you the...

Thank you to all those who visited, commented, and rated my CJ in the past year. I was only able to bring you half the amount of entries as last year due to certain delays and complications (I spilled water into my computer), but I think the quality has improved a lot and I hope to continue that trend.Right now I'm just building up a lot of material so that when I do make a 'comeback' I will have lots of great stuff to show and I'll be able to do that a bit more consistently. Thanks to KonstantinII, I...

This video is best when viewed in 720p. Enjoy. darkaliendude: im sorry if this was already asked. how do you make those gifs? they're so cool. Photoshop + tutorial found on google. tankmank: Looking great as usual. I love the mix of buildings and the use of rl images from Hong Kong and Dubai. The night shots are so beautiful with all the different colour lights. Thanks. sri2: Needless to say, i am stunned by your cj once again. just a question, though, are there any lower-income neighborhoods in...

Summer is coming to a close and that can only mean one thing in Ionica: Party Time! And where to party? In the Zone with the hottest night life in the city, Avalon.Every year at the end of August there is a long weekend and Ionicans flock to the heart of the city to celebrate the 'end of summer' and beginning of the work or school year. How does it sound if we spend the night out?Amongst the densely pack skyscrapers can be found some of the city's most popular rooftop bars, restaurants, and lounges.Mirror...

Every once and a while I like to pull back the curtains to show you what I'm doing behind the scenes. Lately I've been alternating on working on three Zones. The first is Avalon which I've been working on repairing for months. Avalon is the only Zone that has survived the move over to my new region (Ionica) and I don't want to start from zero because I think it has some distinct features that are part of Ionica's identity. In the GIF below you see Avalon in 4 stages of development. The first one, with a lot...

Ionica is a waterfront city and when the weather is right you can always find many of it's citizens in, on, or by the water. August is a special in Ionica because it is the Nautical Festival month where events like rowing, sailing, paddling, and yachting take place all around the city. It is at this time of the year, when it is a bit cooler, and the breeze a bit stronger, that Ionicans like to stay out on the water late into the night and early hours of the morning. The canal that crosses through...

Sarai

This Zone, Sarai, gets it's name from the biblical Sarah or Sara the wife of Abraham and the mother of Isaac. God changed her name from Sarai to Sarah as part of a covenant after Hagar bore Abraham his first son, Ishmael. The Hebrew name Sarai/Sarah indicate a woman of high rank and is translated as "princess" or "noblewoman".Sarai is a Zone where the dense city starts to taper off and give way to low density houses and more open spaces. Over the past few entries I have been drip feeding close-ups of the...

Welcome back to In this entry we continue to explore the Sarai Ecological Community. Enjoy. All of the buildings that once stood in this mostly undeveloped area are now gone, except for the historic Von Roo Mill, which is now a gift shop. Here you can see one of the two models of homes available in the Ecological Community. All of the homes come with an Aquaponic Greenhouse and a swimming pool. Things like tennis courts, conservatories (which the model below has), statues, ponds, and playgrounds are...

Welcome back toLast week a showed you a park my newest zone. That is just a fraction of a much bigger park called the Sarai Ecological Community in th middle of a low density residential neighborhood. This community, like many others in Ionica is based on the principles of Ecological Urbanism which is a theory of planning and design for urbanism arguing that landscape, rather than architecture, is more capable of organizing the city and enhancing the urban experience. In the bottom half of this picture you...

Welcome back toWell it has been a long time but I am finally ready to start making a return. I still have a lot of things to do before I get Ionica up an running again, but in the meantime I'll share a few new pictures from around the city and from one of the new Zones I've been working on for the past couple of months.Special thanks to KonstantinII who has been custom LOTing some BATs for me and sharing them with the rest of Simtropolis.Garden of St. Michael's church in Wang Chu YiRemnant of Camelot in...

A lot of pictures incoming.I would like to start out by repeating the first thing I said when I started my CJ which was a thank you all the people and groups whose buildings and mods helped make this city possible. I've learned so much from regularly visiting this site and interacting with the people who make it so great, it has been really fun. I would also like to send out a general thank you to all the people who visit and comment regularly, you have all motivated me to create greater and grander...

I'm back, kind of...I originally expected to released this a couple of weeks after my last entry but I got busy with a few things and decided to take a little break. Also my PC's graphics just recently died and I still haven't received a replacement for it so I haven't been able to work on my city for the past week and a half. I probably won't be able to show anything new for a little while longer. The 1 year anniversary of my CJ is on April 13th so my next entry is probably going to be an epic recap of...

Welcome back toCalm before the BlitzBlitzball is one of the most popular sports and there is currently only one Zone where it can be enjoyed: Pater. However, due to a lockout, the stadium has been silent for the last four months. Fortunately the situation has been resolved and games are set to resume next week. Blitzball is a sport over 1000 years old and is held in open-air water sphere stadium, designed in a traditional amphitheater style. Once the sphere is filled, a pair of triangular goals are...

Welcome back toSun Bu'erThis small zone is located north of Tan Chuduan, the one shown in the previous entry. As we get further from the center of the city we are starting to see lower density some residential areas which are a preview to what lies beyond the dreamy spires of Ionica. The canal in this Zone is the continuation of a series that travels across seven small Zone above Avalon and it serves no real purpose other than to allow Sims to leisurely travel from one Zone to the next.Open your window and...
