STEX Custodian posted a file in Banished's Banished Mods
Version 1.0.0
98 Downloads
This mod adds parks that provide happiness to nearby citizens. Included is a plain village park as well as themed parks that have been decorated for specific seasons/festivities. There's also three different wood colors you can choose from for each park's fencing/tables as F-Key variants. Each park's decorations are also included as place-able deco pieces so you can decorate your village for each season/holiday. Here's a screenshot of all the parks next to each other: Each item inside the parks and the people you see in the above image are also deco pieces that you can place down to make your village a bit more lively, especially in places where your citizens don't usually travel. Version History: 1.0 - Initial Release 2.0 - Sneaky optimization update - decreased file size without making any real changes 2.1 - Added round picnic table and some F-Key options for a few deco pieces -

Lucario Boricua posted a City Journal entry in Kingdom of Rota
Mew: MEEEWW!! Mew-mew, mew-mew!! (Translation: YAAAYY!! The Festival Tournament begins!!) Mew: Nyah-myah-mew, mew-miu-miu nyah! Miu-miu-MEW (Translation: Queen Ilene is arriving to the Festival! (Translation: Hopefully she arrives just in time, the stadium is filling quickly!) Referee: Presenting Her Majesty and ruler of the Kingdom of Rota, Lady Ilene! Queen Ilene: Greetings everyone! I am so delighted of having you here today. Today we begin the most awaited event of our Festival, the Aura Guardian Pokémon Battle Tournament! After the classification rounds, we have reached a roster of sixteen elite competitors, who shall delight us with their bravery, courage, skill and wits in the most amazing of showdowns! [...] Referee: Mega Gardevoir is unable to battle, Lucario wins! Riley moves on to the second round! [The afternoon turns into dusk] Referee: For our sixth match of the day, uhhhh....Mewtwo and Alain face off! Go! Queen Ilene: What's so funny, Jenny? Jenny Salisbury: Oh, nothing! I'm just so amused at the referee, he can't keep his face straight when one of the trainers in this match is a pokémon. Queen Ilene: Told you that we have to define who actually qualifies to be a trainer! Mew: Mew-mew, mew-mew, mew-mew! Myah-nyah nyah! (Translation: Mew-two, Mew-two, Mew-two! You can do it brother!) Jenny Salisbury: Oh dear Ilene, you think that Metwo can withstand Mega Charizard X? Queen Ilene: Of course! Mewtwo was created for the sole purpose of being the mightest battling machine! He'll turn the tide and race up along the ranks! [...] Referee: Mega Charizard is unable to battle, Mega Mewtwo wins! Mewtwo enters the second round! [Dusk turns into night]] Referee: To close off the first round, Paul will confront Gary! Begin! Mew: Niu-niu-nyah!! (Translation: This is so exciting!!) Queen Ilene: How is Paul supposed to win this one!? Jenny Salisbury: At this point of the match, Gary seems to have it won. [...] Referee: Aggron is unable to battle, Blastoise wins! And thus, Gary completes the roster for the second round, the quarter finals! Queen Ilene: Thank you once again for joining us! We really hope this was every bit as exciting as it was to us! Tomorrow I will also bring an update concerning other matters of the Kingdom, stay tuned for more! My apologies for the prolonged wait! During the last month I have been facing some pressing personal matters and could not set aside enough time to actually piece up the story and edited screenshots to form the seventh chapter of the Kingdom of Rota city journal. This is a project I want to continue until reaching completion, and I want it to be done as excellently as possible. For those who aren't followers yet, make sure to subscribe to the journal, there's lots of fun to be had with the upcoming entries!-

Before we begin, I'd like to provide a reminder to the CJ followers (especially prospective ones), and that is to subscribe to the journal, rather than to the individual posts. That way you'll be notified when the upcoming entries are posted. Without further delays, here we go! Queen Ilene: Welcome everyone! Today we commence our grand, week-long celebration of the Festival of the Guardian! This event commemorates the Kingdom's heroes, Sir Aaron and his Lucario, who stopped the warring armies from causing our demise nearly a millennium ago. Here we celebrate their heroic and noble deeds, which protected our people and guide our lives. Mime Jr: Mime-mime! (Translation: Gonna be fun!) Jenny Salisbury: I want to give a warm welcome to our visitors, from throughout the Kingdom and abroad! Today I'll be giving you the tour of our fair attractions and activities, for some reason Mew seems to shy away from the big crowds, and boy, do we have plenty of those congregated on the southeast lake shore. You'll find the Royal Canopies, in burgundy, between the concert area and the dining yard, towards the center of the fair grounds. We'll have the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Rota delight us with some mellow tunes for our meals and more dramatic ones for an upcoming fireworks show, to be had on the championship night of the Festival: Jenny Salisbury: For those who have not arrived yet, we have two parking facilities: one being the provisional parking area next to the fair grounds, and the other being at the Queen Ilene Stadium, our new battle arena once growth of the festival had the old Cameran Court, next to the Palace, bursting at the seams: Jenny Salisbury: Both parking facilities have access to a shuttle service, providing convenient access to the different parts of the Festival grounds: Jenny Salisbury: Between the two parking lots we have the Agriculture and Forestry Exhibit grounds, where experts in farming/forestry machines, outdoor activities, livestock and traditional vehicles will teach you the skills and secrets of their trade: Jenny Salisbury: Next to it we have the Festival Marketplace, where you'll find food, drinks, toys, arts, crafts, auctions and new friends!: Jenny Salisbury: And we also have these food stands, which are yet to open but are expected to open tomorrow: Jenny Salisbury: We also have the old-fashioned amusement park rides around the concert stages! Here you'll find, from upper left and clockwise: the carousel, game booths, the bumper cars, the auction stage, the Royal Canopy, the Ferris Wheel and the Noodly Monster! Looking hideous as always! Queen Ilene: Relax, Jenny, you know the kids love it! Mime Jr: Mmi-iiime! (Translation: Pokémon like it too!) Jenny Salisbury: Anyway, towards the middle we have the main concert stage, where we'll have a series of bands performing for our visitors during the next five nights, and from which the main announcements well be made: Jenny Salisbury: Elsewhere in the festival grounds we have the Crazy Eights Rollercoaster, which, surprisingly enough, has not yet attracted a large number of visitors: Jenny Salisbury: And of course the Pokémon Battle arenas! These matches will begin soon, we're still open for participants! The rules are simple: each participant trainer will face a simple elimination with a team of 3 pokémon. Those who are interested should contact us to participate: Jenny Salisbury: For those who feel more adventurous, we have the Sailboat Parade and Exhibit, here on Lake Cameran: Jenny Salisbury: As well as an aerial parade, with blimps and hot air balloons! Jenny Salisbury: And of course our Queen wanted more fireworks on display for the championship night! Here's one of the other fireworks launch sites prepared for the festival: Queen Ilene: I'm so happy to have you all come and join the celebrations, this will be a wonderful week to remember! But, seriously, why is Mew missing out on the fun? It seems so unusual of him Mime Jr: Mi-mime?, mi-mi-mi mime mime-mime? (Translation: Really? Does that mean more toys for me?) Queen Ilene: Who knows? But hopefully he joins on time.

World Surf League, Round 5, Wrap up: The Winners and Headliners of Lords of the Board Festival
Krisman posted a City Journal entry in Principauté de Caravella-Guatalaga
In a perfect weekend, after a week of perfect waves and surfing weather, Finals Day and Day 2 of the Lords of the Board Festival made Sunday June 3rd the perfect ending of the The Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018. First of all: The winners! The 2018 Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic has turned the both the 2018 Men's Championship Tour and the 2018 Women's Championship Tour upside down with 2 new overall leaders emerging after victories on Plage Le Soleil in Port de Caravella. 2018 Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic: Women's Final: Tyler Wright (AUS) vs. Lakey Peterson (USA) In a epic battle between the Aussie outsider and US Lakey Peterson it was very close, but the final ditch effort of Wright to steal the win from Peterson was not enough. The 2018 Caravella Classic Women's Champion is Lakey Peterson (USA) and with this victory she is also the new overall number 1 in the Jeep 2018 Women's Championship leaderboard. Watch the final again: 2018 Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic: Mens's Final: Michel Bourez (PYF) vs. Italo Ferreira (BRA) After all of the big starts of the Men's Championship were already knocked out early on, it was Brazil's Italo Ferreira who was the abosule favorite in the final of the Caravella Classic. His contender was Michel Bourez from French Polynesia. The 2018 Caravella Classic Men's Champion is Italo Ferreira and, just as in the Women's Championship, he is also the new leader in the Jeep 2018 Men's Championship leaderboard. Watch the final again: Lords of the Board Festival 2018: The Headliners And by perfect coincidence, the Finals Day was the same day as the final day of The Lords of The board Festival 2018. A festival to go coinside with the surf competition and attract more spectators to the WSL events all over the world. The Lords of The Board Festival 2018 has a strong lineup with world class artists like Anne-Marie, Metronomy, Zedd, Evanescence, Chvrches and Two Door Cinema Club. Saturday headliner: Run The Jewels On Saturday the headliner was USA Rap duo Run The Jewels. Run the Jewels, also known by the initialism RTJ, is an American hip hop duo consisting of rapper/producer El-P and rapper Killer Mike. They released their acclaimed debut studio album, Run the Jewels, as a free digital download in 2013. This was followed by Run the Jewels 2 in 2014, which was also praised by critics. Their critically acclaimed third album, Run the Jewels 3, was released digitally in 2016; a physical release appeared in 2017. Sunday headliner: Arcade Fire On Sunday the headliner were the festival kings and queens of Arcade Fire. Arcade Fire is a Canadian indie rock band, The band has been described as "indie rock, art rock, dance-rock, and baroque pop." They play guitar, drums, bass guitar, piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, xylophone, glockenspiel, keyboard, synthesizer, French horn, accordion, harp, mandolin and hurdy-gurdy, and take most of these instruments on tour; the multi-instrumentalist band members switch duties throughout shows. In 2019, both the Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic and the Lords of the Board Festival will return! If you like it … let me know! -

Break out your holographihc projectors, tonight is Summoning. What is Summoning? Summoning or The Summoning is the opposite of Halloween which Ionica also celebrates. Whereas Halloween is about celebrating death, demons, and sorcery, Summoning is about celebrating life, angels, and white magic. Summoning is actually a relatively modern creation and was unintentionally started by Holografic graffiti artists. In the mid-twenty-first century a group of Holo-Artists decided to set up a massive prank with new holographic technology at the time. They broadcasted holographic images of spiritual apparitions all around the city in order to make people believe that angels were being summoned from the heavens, and it worked. It was like the first time people heard Orson Well's War of the Worlds on the radio. For a brief moment many people actually believed in magic. After that it became a yearly event and eventually Mayor Jon Daily had the night of March 11th officially declared The Summoning. The best Holo-Artists from around Ionica are now commissioned by the city to create displays around the city. Freedom Rising by Jack Wilder in Pater Kodama Angel by Alex Zhang in Sierra A Greeting to our Friends in the Feline Galaxy by Thaddeus Bradley Beckoning Angel on top of the Tressler Insurance Tower by Henley Reeves An ode to Van Gogh's Starry Night by Arthur Lemay. In a big city like Ionica it is rare to see the sky full of bright stars but during Summoning anything is possible. (Original image by Solemone) If you live in Sierra you don't need all that fancy holographic technology to believe in magic because you already have Diamond Lake and the Black Stones Lighthouse. Skyward Spirits by Jasmine Blaine in Pater Finger of God by Dylan Rhodes in Avalon This is the hologram that started it all - The Summoning by J. Daniel Atlas in Avalon. Special thanks to Houston for giving me a tutorial on how to create hologram effects. Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. tankmank: What a great update, the lake is so beautiful, especially at night Hey tankman, thanks. feeroz123: Awesome !! That lake deserves the name.. Very well created!! Glad you enjoyed it feeroz123. juliok92012: I Love the Farol at night, Very Good. Don't wanna toot my own horn too much but I do too! Thanks. blunder: Love the night luminescent effects in the water. Great stuff. Thanks. It was actually a last minute idea. gigius76: Amazing update! The picture with the lighthouse is art. I hold your praise in high regards. Thanks. freemunchies: Which seawalls are those? They fit really well! I also really like the detail you put into the water with various mmps! Those are JENXPARIS Quais de Seine Riverbank walls. KonstantinII: Grid busting! I really like those diagonals. The whole city feels like San Francisco The raised transit park fits well. The one I downloaded wasn't transit enabled for some reason. I did something and it got undemolishable lot syndrome. After that I was able to pass my freeway right under it but not destroy it. Thanks KonstantinII. I hate un-demolishable lot syndrome. TekindusT: As charming as usual! I love Ionica! Ionica loves you too Tek. Thanks. Schulmanator: Raised transit parks FTW!! Awesome! First time I have seen that! First time? Really? Makes me feel special. I'm glad I popped your RTP cherry. Huston: Love the effects on the water! Really does make it the much more beautiful! Thanks. I was kind of inspired by something you did in your Pyronatalis Christmas entry. Crazyforsimcity: Now this deserves a clap! Love it! Cheers, thanks. pingpong: Oh, the lighthouse, the boat, the sea and the sky, so charming and so calming Hey pingpong, thanks. Lord Branham: Your city is gorgeous! What the...? One thing I've noticed as I've moved around the United States is the proliferation of street fairs. A tradition dating back centuries, these fairs seem to pop up everywhere once the snow starts to melt* and the people begin to thaw out from a long, dull winter. From the tiny "Highland Hey Days" (Highland, MI) and the modest "Third Thursday Street Fest" (Willimantic, CT) to the sprawling "Ann Arbor Art Fairs" (Ann Arbor, MI) and beyond, these farmer's markets/art fairs/street festivals/etc. are a great excuse to let the good times roll. Oh! So that means...? Yeah. Now you can plop 20 more-or-less different lots into your SimCity so your Sims can throw up the orange barricades and bust out the beer kegs. Or display their arts and crafts. Or fresh fruits and vegetables. Or whatever. This set includes: 3 transit-enabled street entrance lots as well as 9 1x1, 4 1x2, 2 1x3, and 1 1x6 pre-fab Street Fair (also transit-enabled). And because 19 was a weird number for a set, I tossed in a temporary Bus Stop as well so that your Sims have no excuse not to go. Due to the TE, the entrances and the 1x6 will allow C+I growth adjacent to them. See below. Also included in this archive are two graphics: a large overview of all the lots, labeled, so you can discard the ones you may not want and a second one with a plop tip for getting growth behind them. And this file. (In case you missed it...) Please note that: a) this really isn't an original idea; I saw something similar posted to a Japanese BAT site a while back and it sort of stuck in my mind and b) these look a lot better sitting next to the NUTs Market Place Lots, the Kingston Market, the Flower Market, or the Brickworks Market. Because of this, I've set these lots to appear in the Landmark menu just below the NUT Market Place Lots. Full disclosure: I use NUTs MPL in my main city and ASF goes with it like peanut butter and jelly. Just sayin'. Wait a minute, don't you...? Yeah, I suck at 3D modeling. (Need proof? Download my other lots.) So I'm just the lot-man in this case. Full credit for everything that appears on these lots goes out to the creators of the dependencies below. If anyone has issue with me using their props, please let me know and I'll remove them and update this pack. Aw, man! Dependencies?! I promise there's not that many: BSC MEGA Props - Gascooker Vol01.dat (LEX) BSC MEGA Props - JES Vol01.dat (the menu boards) (LEX) BSC MEGA Props - Misc Vol02.dat (the other odds and ends) (LEX) BSC Textures Vol 03.dat (LEX) wmp_ferry_props01.dat Workingman Productions** -from the "WMP Street Ferry" at workingman-productions.co.uk PEG_MTP_SUPER_RESOURCE_PACK.dat (PLEX) -from the "Mountain Theme Pack" -(Note: if you skip this one, you may want to delete Aran_StreetFair_1x1_I, since the lot looks empty without the blue plastic outhouses.) Resource_Parks_205.dat (PLEX) -from "Updated: Parks 2.05" Again, thanks to the creators of these fine materials. Quality resources like these are why SC4 is still alive after nine years. Anything else? Many, many thanks to Gascooker for creating Photoshop actions (and RippleJet for posting them to SC4D) that greatly simplified making the custom icons. And huge thanks to Vortext over at SC4D for figuring out a visual issue that was driving me nuts. Cheers! Aran * Or not. I'm looking at you, Fond du Lac. ** STEX, BSC LEX, PLEX, SBEX, CBEX...good grief. Maybe Workingman Productions didn't get the memo about the *EX meme? -

The Lady of the Lake park is a BAT called BSC Avalon Park. supercitys354262 - Sweet, welcome to the future! gman28 - Hey Galahad, you are about to find out about some of Avalon's hottest attractions. Mastof - Yay indeed! FOOD There are hundreds of restaurants and bars in Avalon, but there are a few that stand above the rest. The Bicentennial is for all of Ionicans and the rest of the Sim world to enjoy regardless of class and status, therefore a vast majority of Avalon's best and highest class restaurants will be offering the courses on their menus at amazingly low prices. Too rich for your blood? Not during the Bicentennial, but make your reservations soon, these restaurants can only accommodate so many people. Nova Nova’s innovative, inventive and – of course – ground-breaking approach to cooking has created a maelstrom in the culinary world. The restaurant, for example, has taken the tired old concept of the amuse bouche and turned it into a dazzling array of one-bite starters that are alone worth the air fare to Avalon. Through the use of innovative cooking methods, Rene Redzepi’s former warehouse on the dockside has changed diners’ perceptions of Ionican cuisine. It is a restaurant of extraordinary pedigree, where passion and honesty is reflected in every mouthful. El Celler de Roca The passion for cooking and hospitality shared by the three Roca brothers is palpable, but the food is playful rather than serious – caramelised olives are brought to the table on bonsai trees – and Ionican ingredients are given centre-stage billing on the menu. Clever techniques complement simple flavour combinations designed to titillate the palate and the memory rather than confuse the mind. It’s clever stuff – but thankfully it is also utterly delicious. Per Se Perfect execution; constant evolution. These twin traits help define Per Se, Thomas Keller’s superb restaurant where Avalon’s moneyed élite dine in plush modernity overlooking Lady of the Lake Park. Every dish, while faultless in delivery, comes under constant scrutiny and development within the kitchen to ensure the daily-changing menu edges ever forward. The service, wine list and unshowy luxury of the space all conform to rigorously high standards, matching food that is as deeply considered as you’ll find anywhere. Alinea Alinea might just be the blueprint for the restaurant of the future. Chef-patron Grant Achatz (rhymes with jackets) has entirely rethought the eating-out experience: bite-sized dishes are suspended by wires and some creations are even served directly onto the table; the food is techniqueled, using gels, foams, powders and concentrations, all served in a slickly modern interior. An extraordinary man and an extraordinary restaurant. Dinner The conceit at Dinner involves the reworking of historical Altherian recipes from as far back as the 14th century by Blumenthal and chef Ashley Palmer-Watts. The food delivers big flavour and texture hits: diners can revel in the mandarin-tinged, supersmooth creamy chicken liver parfait of the meat fruit or the sweet fluffy indulgence of the Sauternes-soaked tipsy cake. These are dishes that will remain at the forefront of your taste memory-bank for years to come. The Fat Duck It is testament to Heston Blumenthal’s ability as a chef and to his incredible imagination that 17 years since opening The Fat Duck, the restaurant remains one of Ionica’s most exciting and original places to eat. The now iconic snail porridge with Ibérico bellota ham remains as fresh today as it has always been, while the golden ‘Mad Hatter fob watch’ that dissolves into a veal reduction to pour over a Mock Turtle egg is as delightful in the mouth as the theatre leading up to it. Tim Ho Wan Earning its Michelin star, Tim Ho Wan guarantees a packed dining experience. However, this very reasonably priced restaurant offers only the freshest of meat and makes their BBQ pork buns from scratch- which explains its popularity. Despite the 1-2 hour long queues, customers keep their taste buds satisfied by revisiting Tim Ho Wan. L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon Securing a highly coveted seat in 2 Michelin-starred master chef Joel Robuchon’s sophisticated restaurant will be one of the most rewarding dining experiences you’ll have in Avalon. His winning formula of inventive & intricately-crafted gastronomic ‘tastes’ using only the finest & freshest ingredients leaves diners from around the Ionica waiting in anticipation for a highly coveted seat. Caelum Boasting some of the most impressive views of Avalon’s skyline, this glamourous 29th-floor Avalonian institution is a modern, sophisticated sanctuary away from the chaos of buzzing streets below. Caelum is one of the best places to experience the dazzling Avalon evening city light show, where the fashionable, see-and-be-seen crowd come more for the views than the food. Hotels Baron Hotel The Baron, Avalon occupies the top nine floors of the L. Baron Tower. The hotel’s 178 guest rooms are spread across the 30th through 36th floors of the building; The Spa at and several of the hotel's restaurants and bars are located on the 37th and 38th floors of the building. A very deliberate design concept governs the look and feel of the hotel with an aesthetic predicated on the themes of woods and water. To that end, “the hotel has been conceived as a single, large, living tree, with the guestrooms as branches.” All rooms at the Baron, Avalon offer a view. The hotel houses a spa as well as numerous restaurants and bars, which include three Michelin Star restaurants. Additionally, the hotel contains a large ballroom, four banquet rooms and six meeting rooms. There is a Sanctuary Chapel at The Baron, Avalon as well. The Baron, Avalon is a 2198 Ionican Academy of Hospitality Sciences’ Six Star Diamond award recipient and was Institutional Investor’s choice for “Best Hotel in the Ionica” in 2197. Lancelot Hotel, Avalon The AAA Five-Diamond awarded hotel contains 202 guestrooms and 46 suites on floors 35 to 54 of the Lancelot Center with views of Lady of the Lake Park and the Merlin River. The hotel features and amenities include an award-winning spa, fitness center with indoor pool, expansive ballroom and numerous other meeting spaces. Four Seasons, Avalon Four Seasons Hotel Avalon is part of the Ionican Finance Centre (IFC) complex in the heart of the city's Central district. This hotel redefines luxury and excellence in a city renowned for exceptional accommodation. With exemplary service, award-winning restaurants, unique facilities, excellent business services and an ideal location, this hotel has been awarded with the highest acclaim of all - guests returning time and time again. Xenia Hotel, Avalon Xenia is the Greek word for the concept of hospitality, or generosity and courtesy shown to those who are far from home. It is often translated as "guest-friendship" (or "ritualized friendship") because the rituals of hospitality created and expressed a reciprocal relationship between guest and host. Envisioned by style guru Constantin Red, this hotel has a private entrance and occupies 11 floors of Avalon's most iconic skyscraper, the Ziggurat. It has a deluxe spa and is a 5-minute walk from Avalon Mall. Rooms of understated elegance featuring curvy lines are decorated with Japanese tatami and luxury fabrics. Modern appliances include flat-screen TVs with DVD, iPod docking stations and a laptop safe. Xenia Hotel Avalon provides sophisticated dining options in each of its 7 restaurants. Red-Hashi serves Japanese cuisine with a modern twist and renowned Red Privé hosts resident and touring DJs. Guests can relax at the extensive Red Spa, offering personal treatments and sequential bathing, or enjoy a round of haute couture shopping at Red Galleria, retailing fashion, flowers and Italian pastries. Shopping Avalon Mall This second largest mall in the Ionica, is also known as 'Great Mall of Avalon'. With 6 million sq ft. of gross leasable area, it houses 230 escalators, a skating rink, over 1,000 shops and a huge space for restaurants. Aux Quatres Saisons Located in Avalon, Aux Quatres Saisons is one of the largest and most diverse shopping center which opened up more than four decades ago. Including an exposition center, hotels and theaters, the total complex is one of the most technologically advanced and high class in the Ionica. Sarah Towers Mall This tower complex Avalon houses a shopping center and two five star hotels. The building includes Ionica's largest indoor theme park, Cosmo's World and a massive IMAX 2D & 3D theater. Entertainment On the eve of the Bicentennial there will be hundreds if not thousands of performances across Avalon, but none will be bigger than these: High Contrast, Netsky, Camo & Krooked, and Danny Byrd @ The Camelot Entertainment Center High Contrast Netsky Camo & Krooked Danny Byrd Phoenix @ Club Ocean Joe Hisaishi will conduct and perform with the Avalon Philharmonic Orchestra during the festivities in the Bird's nest stadium. For those who will not be able to come to Avalon the William Baron Satellite Communication Network will be broadcasting the event across the entire SimWorld. See you at the Bicentennial!
