Sarai

1gtu.jpg

This Zone, Sarai, gets it's name from the biblical Sarah or Sara the wife of Abraham and the mother of Isaac. God changed her name from Sarai to Sarah as part of a covenant after Hagar bore Abraham his first son, Ishmael. The Hebrew name Sarai/Sarah indicate a woman of high rank and is translated as "princess" or "noblewoman".

Sarai is a Zone where the dense city starts to taper off and give way to low density houses and more open spaces. Over the past few entries I have been drip feeding close-ups of the Ecological Community. Now it is time to take a step back and look at the area from more of an eagle eye view.

Enjoy!

Forthwall: The architecture looks divine - also idk

Thanks. I really owe BATers like Jasoncw.

Schulmanator: Looking good. I think it'll be a hit with locals and visitors alike.

It is indeed a hit. Thanks.

KonstantinII: Very nice community you have! I heard about this place in the magazine even before you posted. Sounds like these homes aren't too expensive.

Thanks. What magazine are you talking about?

Lance83: great update, but they seem bigger than 800x600., more like 1200ish or some. its not just on your end!

Thanks. I figured out what the problem was. Had to do with putting my entry in HTML Raw Linebreak mode.

Gannet: I want to live there!

There is a place for you. Come on down!

Fox: Stunningly beautiful gardens and paths and I love the waterways.. Your talent amazes me every time!

Thanks Fox. Like I have said before, I have been inspired by much of your work.

SimCoug: nice work! The image size seems to have been fixed because I don't notice anything weird here. BTW, I like how you included the PEG watermill :)

Thanks. I've been trying to fit that watermill somewhere for a very long time.

Terring: Way to go :)

Thank you Terring.

Lord Branham: Magnificent Job! I love how Lord Nelson's Column just blends in so well with the area! Marvelous job once again!

Thanks. I didn't originally want to put Lord Nelson's Column there, but it ended up being a good replacement for my first choice which didn't work because it needed a road connection.

Hazani Pratama: Awesome Update!

Nice to see you Hazani. Thanks.

RepublicMaster: Great update! I like the the ritzy homes! :D

Glad you enjoy it. Thanks.

Thanks for stopping by.

Find the brown box.

Is that like a SC4 version of 'Where's Waldo'?

Great images - the diagonal streets with those repetitious apartment buildings gives a very futuristic feeling.

Can't believe i've never seen this CJ before. It is a great mix of different buildings that i would never have thought would go together. Great work, i can't wait to see more
