57 - Selected Scenes
Here is a little preview of some of the things I've been working on recently mixed in with a few older things that have been improved or renewed.
Below is a picture of a STEX Temple in Acropolis. I built this Zone a while back, but I just recently got around to adding some finishing touches.
The next two pictures are from the newest tile I've been working on. I'm virtually complete and I don't want to be too boastful but it looks pretty amazing. Part of that is due to the fact that I'm using some of the newest top notch BATs and a certain set of custom marinas by OIScare/Benoit.
Just a beautiful day in a little Zone we've visited before called Sun Bu'er.
This little ecological community on the other side of the canal is also in Sun Bu'er and the canal you see flows into the marina of my newest tile which is connected to this one.
A little slice of a small Zone I made to test out some PEG Marinas. I'll make a full update for this later on.
Ah, now we get to the real meat and potatoes. The mosaics below are from the mostly redeveloped west side of Avalon. The roads and public transit have been vastly improved and this has allowed for much better use of the space. I'm still having a bit of trouble balancing out the Commercial and Residential. I need to make a few non-functional landmarks or reduce the amount of jobs for some of the big skyscrapers.
Obligatory night shots.
Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting.
Schulmanator: Looks great! But I think I swatted a fly. Will that change the future? Or the past?
Great Scott!
I believe you changed the future for people in the present and you've changed the past for people in the future. Thanks.
KonstantinII: I like the images. Only one moment. I see a canal going over a railroad. Wouldn't it be better for the railroad to go over the canal instead? Where does all the water go?
Thanks. If you look closely you will see that there is a canal lock which allows the water to go over. Since both rail and canal were sunken I thought it would be fun to try having the canal go over the rail since this particular canal has a piece to allow sunken road or rail to pass underneath.
Vitor13: That perfection! ![]()
Thanks Victor.
APSMS: No. Even with the fact that the underpass is a little shallow. Railroads/trains can't climb hills. Realistically speaking it'd take half the city to get a good slope to send the rails over the canal, which of course defeats the point of a sunken rail line. Some nice pictures here, though the clouds are a little distracting at times.
I think you could use a ground to elevated rail piece from NAM and that would only take 4 or 5 squares. Thanks for your suggestion on the clouds, hard to hold back sometimes lol.
rathefalcon: Beautiful. I especially liked the parks, and the night scenes had a great effect.
Thanks rathefalcon. Stay tuned if you like those night scenes cause I got a whole bag full and it gets better.
