  1. 4 Seasons

I was online hunting for a dat file for SimCity 4 that would allow cities to experience the four seasons i know we have downloads for season changing trees and one that can make our cities all covered in snow but i was thinking more along the lines of changing the whole city from one season to the next. Do we have something like this or is this something one of Tech Guru's might like to try tackling maybe give us some rain showers once in a while instead of just going from day to night. what are some peoples thoughts on this?
  2. Simtropolis beach

This is from my city "Simtropolis" from a game called Designer city (available on the playstore and appstore). It's summer now, and what better place to be other than the beach?

  4. The Last Days of Summer

From the album City Overview (S3-13-W)

This is an overview about the province of Friganium (Republic of Calidores, my MD over at the LEX which unfortunately has to be discontinued due to savegame corruption). A few small villages which mostly live from tourism visiting the old village centers, the beaches, the hiking paths, and the cultural attractions in one of the villages.
  5. Too hot

May I ask - what do you do when room temperature exceeds 35C/95F? (Can't participate on serious debates on Simtropolis anymore - my head feels like a clumb of sobber) Any advice - funny or serious is welcome.
  6. 00. Out of the Blue

One year. What can I say? It's a come back.
  7. COMMENT REPLIES:TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES (SC4) Kim Sunwoo:Thanks, however, not be mean with Windows 10 is an operating system with a few bugs but at least stableì kschmidt :Shame about that airport but at least I started making backups of my region anyway thanks for the advice The Inevitable Return Of Siculia (SC4) In Siculia there are several places to spend the summer vacation is one of these places is Rossano. Rossano is the capital of the New Italian State which is part of the Federal Republic of Siculia where the majority of the population is of Italian origin (President John Colucci instead is Italian-American) The city is supplied by nuclear power plant of Rossano composed of three nuclear reactors here is the view of the plant Rossano a Mediterranean beach with a hotel skyscraper (these damn engineers megalomaniacs) Introducing the presidential villa with pool (above there is a castle which is now a Museum) a brief visit to the headquarters of the New Italian State you have problems with the television go directly to regional headquarters of Siculia Broadcasting Corporation and messing with executives The railway station of Rossano Rossano is also a mining Center in fact were discovered important oilfields, coal and iron ore (left to right) oil well, coal and iron ore mine and deposit for radioactive waste This city has a beautiful island that has been transformed into an industrial Harbour to envy someone here is the bridge that connects port island a small spoiler Harbour Island one of the world's largest refinery (note the liquefied natural gas deposits) the main square with the Cathedral at night Meanwhile on Facebook We arrived at the end of this city journal while the Federal Republic of Siculia is about to enter into Alliance of Independent Nations (maybe) we still in summer so here it takes a nice trip with loud music on the highway with this 80 's music And with this news bomb, is now closing! See you next week

  10. COMMENT REPLIES:House of Cards - ctOS Kim Sunwoo:the antennas transmit everything from television programs to phone calls because data are interconnected with each other TORRE CANNE Welcome to the month of may know what that means? The SUMMER HOLIDAYS ARE COMING so here is a very popular summer destination is very popular destination Torre Canne. When you are on the Interstate is 1 you see a beautiful countryside with power lines then you are in Torre Canne. Here's to you lousy EHM nice highway exit of Torre Canne Meanwhile in Vice City Returning to Torre Canne here is the Church in Mediterranean style and it's seafront In this town there is the APPLE store There is also a IKEA store (ok I'm doing a bit of surreptitious advertising but who cares) And finally here is the central railway station of Torre Canne Then finally you saw that I changed the name of the nation from United States of America in the Federal Republic of Siculia for a future project that few understand. And with this news bomb, is now closing! See you next week

  13. Ionica - Summer in the City

Welcome back to Well it has been a long time but I am finally ready to start making a return. I still have a lot of things to do before I get Ionica up an running again, but in the meantime I'll share a few new pictures from around the city and from one of the new Zones I've been working on for the past couple of months. Special thanks to KonstantinII who has been custom LOTing some BATs for me and sharing them with the rest of Simtropolis. Garden of St. Michael's church in Wang Chu Yi Remnant of Camelot in Lady of the Lake Park, Avalon. This is from my new Zone called Sarai which features a huge park in the middle of a low density residential area. Sarai Rowing Club on a lazy afternoon. Then night falls... Replies: Schulmanator: Awesome! An enjoyable tour though some well designed areas. I think a vacation there is in order this summer! Thanks. There is a place for you in Ionica anytime. Summer is especially beautiful here. ggamgus: Fantastic! Sorry about your PC being down... but this is great work, I love it. Thank you. Finally got it up an running a few months ago. Felt like it would never be fixed. KonstantinII: The whole overview is nice. Veritas is so huge I don't even have word to describe it! You provide a good living status for your people. The metropolitan area looks very realistic. Dubai is like nothing compared to this. I think the small houses in Hao Dantong somehow don't fit in with the rest of the city. You don't have to put a big university campus in a crowded city like Veritsas. I use the small buildings of hdorriker's university set. They are compact enough to blend in with the city and provide all it's education needs. Think of them as sub branches of the main university. http://community.sim...esidence-halls/ Most big cities don't have a sprawling university in the middle of the CBD. Just Saying. Thanks. I feel Veritas is kind of cluttered. I'm going to have to work on it a little. I want a big university, but you are right that it shouldn't go in Veritas. I have in mind something like Oxford/Harvard/Yale. Throw in some MIT as well. Huston: Beautiful montage of your city zones! And the photo-editing is great! You really don't make it obvious that your using the default building lots and you really seem to have talent for blending different styles as well which is just remarkable because not many people seem to do it effectively like you have! Again, amazing work. Glad you appreciate it Huston. It is all about being selective and picky. Titanicbuff: That city is HUGE But I'm not compensating for anything. RepublicMaster: I love the journey throughout all of Ionica! Your canals are one of the highlights! Keep up the great work! Thanks, I put a lot of time into those. Glad they stick out to you. dubaidude303: Totally stunning! Awesome work Thanks dude. (I always have to it that way) City Builder 9111: Wonderful to see all of it again! Long Live Ionica! Thanks for your blessing. Hazani Pratama: Great! Thanks. Terring: Fantastic work man Thank you. Harbin91: Hate to be an air traffic controller there. I imagine it could be quite a nightmare. Unless the air traffic is controlled by a super sophisticated AI, yeah - lets just say that is how it works. Forthwall: Gargantuan update, had to wait a bit, but it was worth it - 100%. Congrats on 1 year and lets hope for many more Glad you stuck with it to see it all. Yes, lets hope. Hellken: Well, what can I say? This is stunning and fantastic! Thank you very much. Thanks for stopping by.
  14. I have been following the progress of Simcity 2013 for ages. For me it looks like a good new foundation to push the game series forward. My first game from Maxis was A-Train back in the 90s on my Amiga. A stunning little game where cities grew up around the rail lines, which led me to Sim City 2000 when I first moved over to Windows. Both games were similar in concept and graphics. One interesting feature was seasons. In A-Train the land and cities would change as the year went on, from Summer to Winter. Snow would appear on the ground and leaves would drop in the Autumn. Nothing too fancy was going on, but just added to the life of a changing living world. Has there being any talk of something similar, especially as we have seen night/day concepts? Afterall Maxis were able to do this, in basic terms, 20 years ago.
  15. FEVER!

This is my first show in simtropolis. But this is not my first Sim City.I published some works in simcity.cn and This is just a scene on AsM.O.L..This city built on the hillside, layer after layer.Like my hometown.I think simcity to show the author's mind, dreams, and the growth environment. So, I want me and my city to show to you.The theme of this show is a FEVER!Just as the summer weather.I think that my picture will make you heat up.O(∩_∩)OHave fun.
