Safe options for digital download of SC4 Deluxe

Hello all!!! I have been away from SC4 for several years and recently wanted to get back at it. I downloaded the Deluxe version from Origin, not knowing about the incompatibility issue with the NAM. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to get the patched version through Origin. My understanding is that the version is not patchable so I can't even install the patch from here on Simtropolis. I also understand that, as a Windows 10 user, the original CD version is not an option. So, my question is: what is a safe site to download a patched(or patchable) version of SC4 Deluxe? Hello, i am interested in downloading the STEX Collections, but i am a bit confused about the content. On the presentation page of the STEX Collections the following is stated: Do I see it right that there is material on the DVDs 3, 4 and 5 until 2013, but not beyond? I.e. lots, mods, etc... that were created after 2013, I will not find on the DVDs, right? I am also interested in whether the material will be updated. For example, if someone has released a mod in 2013 and it's on one of the DVDs and the mod has been updated in 2016, is the original or updated version on the DVD? The last question refers to the individual DVD's. DVD 3 is the cheapest at $10, DVD 4 at $20 in the middle and DVD 5 at $30 is the most expensive. You write that all DVD's have unique content, i.e. for example no identical lots, mods, etc... are on DVD 3 and 4 or on DVD 3 and 5 or on DVD 4 and 5. Does this mean that on DVD 5 is the most recent material (e.g. everything from 2011-2013) and on DVD 3 and 4 is older material? Are the most important additions, such as the NAM mod on all DVDs or only on DVD 5? Do I need to download patch and/or plugins?

I just downloaded version 1.1641.02 Sim City 4 Deluxe off GameStop digital store. So a few questions: 1) since it is a digital copy, can I even install plugins, patches, and maps like normal? 2) since I havent played in so long, and im playing version 1.1641.02, do I still need to download any official patches or any unofficial plugins such as the one on this site that fixed the transportation bug and made the transportation more efficient? Please, let me know. Nice to see this site is still running. Thanks
