  1. Hi, I am using MacOS Big Sur version 11.6 when playing SimCity4 Deluxe Version (from steam). I also have downloaded NAM 39. I don’t have a problem opening the game or opening a region but when opening one particular city the game closes. The other cities in the region are fine just this one city. I recently installed a building and firetruck expansion pack and others but all the other cities are fine. Is there anything i can do to fix this one city? Thanks PVK

    THANKS Sim-ple Jack, When I download the dependencies for a specific building do I place the dependencies in the folder of the building? THANKS
  4. I am ok with downloading extra buildings and such but I am not sure how to download ones with Dependencies. When I try to download one with a despondency it takes me to a different location and asks to me become a member or to open an account. What is that all about? Not sure what that entails. If I do that my next question is do all the dependencies go in to the plugins folder? Should the dependencies to a building and the building I am downloading go in their own folder within the plugins folder? Thanks Pvk

  6. Hi Cyclone Boom, Your instructions worked for STEX 3 and 4 but not with 5. When I zip open from the doc file there is no START.HTM file, or a data subfolder. I found a index.html but it doesn’t open to where the STEX 5 collection can be navigated. Thanks PVK
  7. Hi, I have a mac with Big Sur operating system. I just received the 3 disc STEX Collection. I use Google chrome on my mac to do my internet stuff not Safari. I am following the instructions provided with the ISO Linkys Guide but I am still not able to open the Disc. I have tried several different ways and I am getting the message this is a windows product or see below. This is what I am doing: Download STEXDVD_03, then I save the file in my SimCity4 folder. I double click on the file and this is what I get (I have tried saving the file in Application but it still opens the same as the SimCity4 folder. Help what am i doing wrong! PVK

  9. Hi, I am working with SimCity 4 on a mac computer with OS Big Sur. I have downloaded the NAM39 with the Traffic Simulator and it is working fine. What I would like help with is buses. Not sure what I clicked on but the buses have taken over. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem in the traffic simulator? I use the buses I don’t want to eliminate them just decrease the amount of them. Thanks

  11. Is there a Java program just for Mac? I was able to open the "NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version39.jar" with Java Launcher on my mac but not TSCT.jar for the traffic simulator. I have now downloaded this but it still doesn't work : AdoptOpenJDK 11.0.10+9 to /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/adoptopenjdk-11.jre Thanks PVK

  13. Hi, I have SC4 from Steam on my Mac computer and it is running fine on OS BigSur. I would like to addon the NAM. The ReadMe first file says “The NAM is also now using a Java-based installer designed by daeley which is cross-platformed” so it sounded like I could add the NAM 39 to my mac. I downloaded the “Network Addon Mod version39” with no problem. I am watching the NAM Video regarding instillation and it is explaining about the need for the 4GB patch. The problem is the 4GB Patch is a windows program and will not open on a mac. Is there a mac 4GB patch? If not does this mean I can’t add on any mods until there is a mac 4GB patch? Thanks PVK

    Tarkus. I have corrected the location as you stated My Documents\SimCity 4. I have the "NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version39.jar" under My Documents\SimCity4 \NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version39\ see my uploads. Do I open it in its current location or do I drop and drag the "NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version39.jar" to my plugin folder and execute it from there? Thanks PVK
  15. Hi I have a new computer running Windows 10. I downloaded SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition with Rush Hour. The game application is in my Program Files (x86) and my SimCity 4 folder is in My Documents. I also downloaded "NAM39" and it is under my SimCity folder and plugins. I downloaded Java and the 4GB patch. My game runs fine but with none of the addons. I have uploaded a list of my SimCity 4 folder and Plugins so you can see what I have or don't have. Please let me know what I need to do to get the NAM to work?
