I remember making custom lot icons for lots without them a while back with the LEProp. I thought I changed the icons, but in SC4, the lots in question were transposed over the icons of other buildings and there were blank spots in the menu. Reopening the lots in question in LEProp, reloading the custom icons, applying the changes and saving fixed the problem for me.
  2. King of Donair

Wow, just look at that nightlighting! Excellent detailing with the graffiti and clapboard siding texture. The roof texture is a tad too dark, imho. Still, wonderful work!
  3. Bishops House

Nice detailing! Will fit in perfectly in W2W districts. BTW, I heard you have Rhino 3D- Did you use Rhino to create this or gmax?
  4. mipro BSP John King Books

@Dwee: That's because it once was a factory!
  5. mipro BSP John King Books

    Great result! *Eagerly downloads.*
  6. BAT Help - General BAT Problems

My Gmax help didn't work either until I visited the Turbosquid website and realized this: The Gmax help files have to be downloaded separately from the installer package on Turbosquid. The Gmax help files can be found here. Edit: Darn, it looks like they removed the link. All of the links get a "The Page Cannot be Found" error. Hopefully it's temporary.
  7. Nofunk's BAT Thread

Excellent work! Keep the buildings together! You have the perfect excuse: fewer walls to bat! I'm sure all batters agree that if you can find a shortcut/lazy way out, use it!
  8. Jason's BATs & Tutorials

Like SimFox said, this is a delightful small building, and full of crisp detail. This inconspicuous but realistic building should fit in perfectly on any Chicago or NY-style street corner. In the 1800s, architects put pride into even the most mediocre and simple of buildings. Today they view small projects with indifference and look towards skyscrapers or Gehry-like piles of goo for fame and profit. Where is the human scale in today's architecture?
  9. Low Wealth Rowhomes

Don Miguel, these are great! They add some much-needed variety to the rowhouse stock ingame. 10/10
  10. BLaM Jamison coal docks

Awesome. Incredible detail and weathering, especially on the ship.
  11. BlaM Le Pointe Boutique

Very nice work! This will work excellently with JBSimio's Smalltown, USA pack. Like Tinkerblinker asked, what's that hanging down over the main entrance? It looks like that lady standing underneath it is about to get sucked up the pipe to some godforsaken place. Nice ground texture too, btw.
  12. BSC Sanchez Importing

    Again, simply outstanding work!
  13. Hungarian Houses Pecs 1

    Stunning!
  14. School Pack Volume One

Brilliant! I've been looking forward to this. Thanks for bringing educational variety to Simcity. 10/10
  15. HK Residential Tower Pack 4

Wonderful work bringing HK's incredible density into the game!
  16. BSC Joyeria la Esmeralda

Wonderful work- especially on the window textures and nightlighting! Simply eye-popping! 11/10.
  17. BigElementarySchool

This is very good for a second bat- or even for a tenth or twentieth! I like the 1930s-ish modernist/art deco influences on the main entrance. Try experimenting with fake raytracing on the roof and walls (See Gascooker's tutorial) and with a little more elaborate nightlighting.Keep up the great work!
  18. PEG CDK3 Garbage Docks

Fantastic! As usual, a top-of-the-line Bat!
  19. mipro BSP The Vinton Building

    Very nice and much needed!
  20. Nofunk's BAT Thread

This looks great! You're probably right about the centering- some small forgotten piece of geometry (or a fragment of one, like a broken mesh or mesh point) might be causing the bat to appear off center- but then wouldn't your preview and final renderings also look off center? Regarding the seams in the renderings, apparently that is a common problem with some batters. Many of my bats have them, and I have seen them on many of other batters' works too. (It could be gmax's limitations or the way we're texturing.) I remember Odainsaker had a similar question about the way the Tower Life building was rendered. I don't know if there's any practical solution to it. You could try re-rendering if you feel like it.
  21. HK TaiYuen Phase 3

Whoa! Excellent idea for the avenue!
  22. Dutch Museum of Printing

This is quite a masterpiece- Thanks for bringing unique Dutch architecture into the game.
  23. mipro Barry Sanders Project

Nofunk, that's awesome! See, these are exactly the types of buildings that the Maxis designers ignored. Perfect texturing on the walls- the faded blue-painted bricks/concrete are very unique. I would improve the wood board&batten texturing on the shop entrance though.
  24. Jiangsu Tower

*Thunk! Thunk!* (Eyes pop out of sockets and fall on the floor) This came out perfect! Absolutely stunning reflections and nightlighting!
