nam Network Addon Mod: Version 33 released for SC4
peperodriguez2710 commented on Tarkus's article in News
Has amazing features but I really miss the old textures D:! There's also unchanged pieces that still look American, but though that, all the job done, especially with the FlexFly's, is wonderful. Well done!- 22 Comments

Hi, I still need to fix some things and do the weeds a bit less-repetitive, adding reflectors in all the lots, etc., but they can be shown. They're concretely for freeway medians. I will post for showng final results. See you!

Do you guys name your streets?
peperodriguez2710 replied to MintberryCrunch's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
My spanish cities have typical street names found from all around Spain "Mayor/de la Constitución/de España/de la Virgen de.../de San"... I take a look to real cities and simply write in a paper the names that could fit. And that's it! I usually write them when the city is in an advanced state, cause when I'm planning it I usually label things for remembering where they will go. Regards ^^ -

What comes to mind when you think about this country?
peperodriguez2710 replied to KonstantinII's topic in Forum Games

Looks very good! The city is pretty well done and the MMP's complement it a lot. I love the reflectors at the freeway, as a suggestion, I would use acceleration and deceleration lanes on the exits, though it's something more personal (here in Spain are in almost every exit, though in other countries is different) Have a nice day ^^! Ehehe you are the fusion between Pepe and Pedro Rodriguez xD Thanks, here in Portugal it is also the same, i will add them latter... I found the current RHW a bit irrealistic comparing to what is used in our countries. For example, at the borders of the road, we usually have "raides", i don't know the term in english, they are protection for cars that may go out of the road. And in the middle, we usualy have an separator... If you refer to the steel things called "Guardarraíles" in Spanish, I think the proper transaltion is "guardrails" or "steel barriers" and it's a pity RHW doesn't include them, though you can LE and add them yourself to lots (I'm doing it, currently xDD) Saludos!

Daesh (formerly IS/ISIS/ISIL): New Barbarians at the Gate.
peperodriguez2710 replied to A Nonny Moose's topic in Current Events
The same thing as Daesh now happened here in Spain on the Middle Ages: there was a rich Islamic caliphate (Al-Andalus) that ruled almost the whole Peninsula and studied arts and science, permitted other religions than Islam and tried to maintain peace with the Christian kingdoms. But the northern Christian kingdoms that were hiding in the mountains eventually became stronger and started to defeat the Caliphate. They forced villagers to convert to Christianism, or die; destroyed mosques, scientific schools, palaces and wiped out almost all the scientific books that the islamic wrote, killed thousands of jews or discrimanated them and took control of the Peninsula eventually. In fact, my home city, Palma, when was on siege, the islamic governor asked for clemency to the Christian king giving him the city keys. And what done that king? He killed the governor and about two thirds of the population, and those who managed to survive were sold as slaves. Some centuries later, that Christian kingdoms united and became Spain. That kingdoms became better, you know, but it's somehow the same story that happens now: a unorganised group of religious extremists that kills and destroys everything in name of religion, and keeps expanding. They haven't reached better organised civilizations yet, but when something similar happened, the barbarians won. Hope we can stop them before they become even stronger. And remember a Spanish saying: "Los pueblos que no conocen su historia está condenados a repetirla" (peoples that don't know their history are doomed to repeating it) Greetings! ^^ -

I love it, looks like a lot of the interchanges between avenues and the beltway here in Mallorca Good job! -
My recent tree controller bug was kinda odd too D:

My first job with Illustratror! Another Spanish (fictional now) portrating a road layout in my region. All arrows and symbols are hand-made. What do you think? Have a nice day! ^^ EDIT: I know that the exit panel is too big for that amount of text, it's intended to be overscaled, because it's common to see pannels like that in Spain.

Does anybody know what's happening here?
peperodriguez2710 posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hello everybody, don't know if I opened the topic in the wrong section, if so, please move it, thanks ^^ The thing is that I started using the Mayor Mode forest tool after a pretty long time without using it and surprisingly, mixed with the trees and vegetation, appeared some Maxis props (concretely construction props, rubbish, dumpsters... nothing custom made). It seems that they were added when I installed lots of mods and plugins some time ago and that are an addition for the brush or maybe are causing conflicts. I looked for a cause in the mods folder, but I don't find it, so I'm asking for your help. Does anybody know what I've installed for uninstalling it? Thanks a lot! Pics:- 11 Replies

I finally solved the problem!!! : DDDDD The problem was from PEG's Mayor Mode Construction Lots. Thanks everybody for your help! PS: I didn't use the binary search method cause my Plugins folder is huge and my game needs around 15 minutes to load (because it's from steam, I think), so I finally looked at all the MMP packs that I had installed for finding the faulty one.- 11 Replies

The worst building in the world
peperodriguez2710 replied to tcx's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
In Spain we have some stupidly ugly buildings too Residencial In Tempo, Benidorm: A awful building that was going to be the tallest residential building in Europe, but keeps 6 years unopened for several funding problems and crappy design. Hotel Córdoba Palacio: The fantastic location of this hotel would be perfect for seeing the beautiful city of Córdoba from your room's window... If there wasn't such a horrible facade... -
Buildings many people didn't even know they were existing
peperodriguez2710 replied to Toothless Stitch's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
In the spanish town of Plasencia there's a Cathedral that in fact it's two cathedrals in one! The thing is that on the XIII century began the construction of a romanic cathedral with some gothic influences and it was finished in the XV century. But on 1498 the bishop of the region wanted a newer cathedral, so he decided to build it in the place were the original cathedral was erected. The builders destroyed the old cathedral by sections and built the new baroque one in the left space but they ran out of funds, so finally they linked the two cathedrals and separated its interiors with a wall. So now there's a cathedral that in fact is the rests of an old romanic cathedral and a half done baroque cathedral mixed together. It's fun to see them imo xDD At the left the newer cathedral and at the right the old one. You can see the wall separating them too. The dark area is the new one and the bright the remains of old one.- 961 Replies

I surprisingly loved the book Fly West by Ivan Southall. It's a collection of aviation-related stories from the Sunderlands of RAF's Coastal Command in WWII and is very well written (even if it is a book for 14-years-old in fact) and I liked it a lot, I recommend it! Now I'm starting Company by Max Barry, it looks good by now!

TV Shows: What are you into right now?
peperodriguez2710 replied to Mithrik's topic in General Off-Topic
I'm really into The Big Bang Theory, and I'm enjoying The Last Ship too. I used to watch NCIS, but the TV channel that broadcasts it in Spain likes to put the episodes in a complete disorder (Season 1 episode 5 --> Season 7 episode 12 for example ). Although most of spanish serials are "culebrones" (literal transaltion is big snake, though in spanish means a serial or a novel with loads of melodramatic love affairs and a crappy plot generally) or comedies there are some really good. I watched one called El Ministerio del Tiempo (The time ministery) that our national channel broadcasted recently and I enjoyed it a lot. It consists in a group of people from different times in history that travel in time for avoiding people and objects from other ages to travel through time for protecting the spanish history. It's very interesant and well done, and RTVE is preparing the next season. I can't wait for it! So, if you talk Spanish (or want to learn an advanced level of it) watch it, 'cause it's a pretty good show. It can be watched online too. Have a nice day! ^^ -
Does anybody know what's happening here?
peperodriguez2710 replied to peperodriguez2710's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Everytime someone says "prop pox" the instant they come across any problem at all that happens to have to do with props, an angel cries. Are you using a custom tree controller? I remember having a similar problem a few years ago, maybe I can go look into it if I still find some info. Yes. I'm using the CPT Italia Tree Controller, but I didn't had any problem till some days ago. Then the issue has to do something with bad modded MMP's or the entire plugins folder?- 11 Replies
